You were called into work on your day off. of course you were. USSTRATCOM wasn’t good at respecting time off or vacation, always pulling people into a big mess that takes weeks to clear up.

It was late, roughly one in the morning when you got the call from Hunnigan, her worried voice over the phone begging you—almost commanding you to come in. Her words were so panicked, so fast you barely had time to make out the words “Leon” and “injured” but that was enough for you to realize why you needed to come in.

The drive to HQ felt longer than usual, maybe it was the fact your sleep was interrupted, or maybe it was the context, the fear. The building was almost completely empty when you got there, save for a few people finishing up reports and agents being sent out on other missions.

“There you are! come on, he’s in the infirmary,” Hunnigan instructed.

You were one of the few medics that had the skill level to treat whatever injuries he had and one of the only ones who was easily available and not out on their own missions. Hunnigan nodded towards the closed door, saying a few final words about what to expect and then walking away.

With a deep sigh you readied yourself. It was never easy dealing with injuries, and the way Hunnigan made it sound these had to be some pretty serious ones.

The light in the room was bright and harsh with multiple cabinets and drawers filled with medical equipment. Leon was on the bed, a grimace on his face and his eyes squeezed shut.

His honey blonde hair was messy and beads of sweat still hadn’t dried on his face. As you approached him you analyzed the injuries you could see. Scratches and cuts littered his face, a gash in his right arm and thick red blood seeped through his shirt.

“Leon what the hell happened!?” You urged as you got closer to him.

“The hell do you think?” His voice was dry and strained, one of his blue eyes opening to peer at your worry stricken face. “It’s alright.”

Your jaw tightened as you reached over for some cleaning supplies, “I think you pushed yourself too hard and did something stupid. and now you’re suffering the consequences. So no, It’s not alright.”

“Yeah well what am I supposed to do? Civilians needed help. I couldn't just leave them there.”

You dabbed a cloth with ointment around the slash on his arm, he hissed in pain. Sometimes you hated how righteous he was, how unwilling to give up he was. But it was something you’d always admired of him anyway. “Listen to me, I know you like to help people, Leon but you need to be more careful. The spain incident and Los Illuminados should’ve been a wake up call that you aren’t invincible.” You hoped that despite your lecturing him, he could understand it was out of concern

He only scoffed, “I know that.” And then he went back to being silent.

You gave him a look before taking out a roll of bandages. “You’re lucky this wasn’t too deep. what caused this?”

“A knife,” he said, rolling his head over to study your movements, eyes fixated on the way your hands carefully wrapped up his bicep in medical gauze.

You shook your head and gently grabbed the hem of his shirt. “I need you to try and sit up, I need this off so I can check the wound.”

He muttered a few incoherent grumbles of disapproval but ultimately subjected to your care. He heaved a deep groan as he sat up with your help. You slowly peeled off the shirt from around his frame and grimaced at the sight of a deep wound, either a stab or bullet entry on the side of his torso. Based on the diameters it looked as though a knife was pushed in and twisted before ripping out.

“Goddammit leon..” you muttered, immediately grabbing another cloth to clean around the wound. “You'll need stitches and I don't have access to anesthesia or lidocaine. so it looks like you’ll be biting down on a belt or something.” It was your attempt at a joke to help ease the tension.

He rolled his eyes, lips pulled into a thin line. He looked so exhausted, dark bags under his eyes. “do what you need to do.”

You walked towards one of the cabinets and pulled out some gloves, thread, and needles. In the corner of the room there was a fridge and freezer used to cool down medicine or preserve it. You grabbed a piece of ice and walked back over to him. “Here bite this.” you handed him a large medical bite wafer. “I'll make this quick.”

You eased the pain in the wound by rubbing the ice carefully around the cleaned edges before slipping the needle into his skin. Your eyes shot up to monitor his reaction in case it became too much. His jaw was set and his eyes shut.

You continued to stitch him shut, a few groans of pain escaped past the wafer as you finished up. After cutting the string and bandaging him up you sighed “all done.” He spit out the wafer into the trash and rubbed his jaw.

He opened his eyes and gave you a weary look. more sweat accumulated on his face and his breathing was more rugged and uneven. His face was still littered in bruises and cuts.

You grabbed a third cloth and dampened it, “Last thing, let me just clean you up then i’ll get you painkillers and give you instructions for what i need you to do following this.” You gently cupped his cheek, turning his face towards you. Tired blue eyes gazed up at you, thick brows furrowed in discomfort.

You dabbed the cloth against some of the cuts and wiped away some of the dirt. Your voice was shaky no matter how much you tried to relax it. “What happens when you get hurt you don’t make it home Leon… what happens when you don’t even realize you got hurt til it kills you. What if-“

“It's not going to happen,” He grabbed your wrist and raised a brow. His voice wasn’t angry or tired. It was gentle and smooth. “I know what I'm doing out there, I promise.”

You closed your eyes and sighed again, “Okay.”

“You don’t believe me.”

“Of course I don't, but it doesn’t change anything.” You bit, pulling your hand from his hold and continuing to clean his face.

Once again his voice was soft and quiet, “Trust me, okay? Or maybe I just need to start having you assigned to my missions too.” Towards the end his tone was more snarky.

“Maybe. If it stops you from being so damn stubborn.” you scoffed out a laugh and set the cloth down.

You gave him a once over as you cleaned up your supplies and disposed of what wasn’t necessary. “Okay you need to be on bed rest for three weeks. And no you cannot get out of this sooner.”

Leon only rolled his eyes again but nodded, knowing all too well that arguing with you clearly wasn’t worth it. “alright alright..”

You patted down your clothes and brushed off your hands. “I'll send Hunnigan in with your medicine and I'll visit you tomorrow.” And with that you turned around.

You halted in surprise when you felt his grip around you wrist, “wait.”

You looked over your shoulder, “Yes, Leon?”

“Thank you. Seriously. Probably would’ve been worse off if it weren’t for the many times you’ve had to take care of me… so.. thanks for worrying. Even if it’s stupid.”

You almost argued back on that last point but held your tongue. “Of course leon. Any time.”

when he sees you, he doesn’t say a word, just opens his arms up and lets you crash into him with a tight hug, your eyes welling up all over again because you’re so relieved to see him, and embarrassed about what happened. he holds your head to his chest with a hand at the back of your head, petting it back and whispering the sweetest things like “you’re okay, i’ve got you” or “you’re too good for him anyway” or “you’re too pretty to be crying over that idiot. let me take you home”

It was a beautiful Sunday. No cloud in the blue sky and a soft breeze who made the temperature ideal.

Like often, Molly invited the order to eat at The Burrow. And like always since the start of your relationship, you came with Alastor. Your relation was made public few months ago, since he wasn't afraid anymore. Although, he wasn't more demonstrative of his feelings for you. But he let you take his hand and give him a kiss here and there. And he always made sure that your glass and plate were full, a way for him to show how much he cared for you without loosing his reputation of tough guy, preferring keeping his romantic side for when you were both alone.

You didn't mind tho, you loved him, more than you ever loved anyone.

Everyone had finished their meal, and we're chatting before the dessert. The mood was good, everyone seemed happy. It's only when Moody get up and cleared his throat that everyone went silent. You looked at him, curious of what he'll do or say.

He looked at you, a slight blush on his cheeks, seeming a bit flustered.

"Y/N... Before you, I lived a lonely life, and that suited me just fine. But that was before I met you. Before I knew what love could do to me. How it had made me someone better, happier,..."

No one talked, and you just looked at him with wide eyes. His tone was more sentimental than ever.

"And I can't thank you enough for everything. Now I can't imagine a life without you... I know that I'm very far of the romantic dream but..."

He then processed to get down on one knee, his bad one. He got out a little box off his jacket and opened it for you, revealing a beautiful ring. When you saw it, you knew how much thought he had put to find it.

"Y/N would you give me the honor to marry me..?"

Alastor waited for your answer, his heart beating way too fast.

And then you started to cry and to jump in his arms.

"Oh yes Alastor! A hundred time yes !"

You kissed him deeply for long minutes until breaking apart to let him put the ring on your finger. Everyone was cheering you both.

You helped him get up and kissed him again. You've never imagined that he'll ask you to marry him today, nor in front of a crowd.

"I love you Alastor... So much"

"Me too dear. More than you can imagine."

He smiled softly. Everyone approached to congratulate you. They were genuinely happy for both of you.

You spend the rest of the day on cloud nine until you both go back home. You haven't let his hand out of yours all day and you never kissed him that much in so little hours.

In your bed, you are looking at the ring.

"It's perfect... Literally perfect..."

"You deserve it"

Alastor smiles and kiss your forehead. You smiled as you remembered his little speech.

"That was... The most romantic thing I've ever seen. I've never thought that you'll ever do something like that.."

He chuckled softly.

"I know that you'd love the gesture. So I made an effort. Because I love you..."

You kissed him for the hundredth time today. Your boyf- no, fiancé was so perfect for you. And now you two will be together for the rest of your life.

Wake Easy

(Fenris/Hawke, 555 words, no warnings)

Fenris was a light sleeper. 

It was a skill he’d learned the hard way, and one most slaves he’d known had gained in the same manner. When one grew to understand that safety was not assured, sleep became less about finding proper rest and more of a troubling necessity. Several months of comfort had not changed this instinct in the slightest. Fenris was not certain that anything would—but he did let himself linger on the edge of wakefulness when he shared Hawke’s bed, as he did now. 

He thought it might have been the change in her breathing that had woken him. Fenris listened, eyes closed, body relaxed, and waited for what she would do next. 

Maria shifted on the bed, sighed again, and the fingers she’d tangled with his twitched slightly. 

“Oh,” Hawke breathed, and her thumb stroked the back of his hand lightly. 

Perhaps he ought to open his eyes and tell her good morning. He could even pull her closer by the hand he held, for if he was fast enough she would squeak in that way she had when he surprised her. It was a noise he enjoyed greatly—though, if he was being honest, he liked most of the sounds she made when they were alone. 

Instead of doing any of those things, Fenris waited. 

Her curls trailed over his shoulder, tickling faintly, and he felt her breath over his knuckles before he felt her lips. They were very soft, as they always were, and she pressed a kiss to each of his knuckles with exquisite care. Each kiss was achingly tender and she held contact for several moments with each curve of bone before moving on to the next. 

Yes—this was precisely why it was worthwhile to feign sleep, to hold onto this for just a few moments longer. 

Hawke moved on from his hand to his shoulder, her hair trailing over his upper arm as she moved. She was just as orderly in her attentions here, kissing each fingerspan of his collarbone with the same careful, considered touch. 

“I know you’re awake,” she murmured when she reached his neck at last, and Fenris smiled. 

“How?” he asked. She laughed against his skin and pressed a kiss after it, as if to seal the sound in place. 

“You were holding your breath,” she said, “Not something you usually do while sleeping.”

Fenris hummed in acknowledgement and opened his eyes at last—not much, only a crack—to plan his next move. She’d propped herself up on her right elbow and her right hand held his left, as it had all night. She was smiling down at him in that fond way she had, hovering only a handful of inches over him. 

Fenris had caught her in one arm and rolled her over onto her back before she could react. 

Gratifyingly, Hawke squeaked, just as he’d hoped she would. Fenris caught the sound on her lips, as careful with her mouth as she’d been with his knuckles and his collarbone. Her body relaxed the longer he kissed her, even as her fingers tightened around his. When he broke away at last, it was only far enough to nudge her nose with his own.

“Good morning, Hawke,” Fenris told her. 

By way of reply, Maria smiled broadly and leaned up to kiss him again.

so here is my essay on how MUCH i love you/vivziepop and all the work you/she has done, ever since i was just a small girl (still am 😞 i'm just twelve😭) i have always had a curiosity on what helluva boss or hazbin hotel was when i first ever saw it on my fyp on youtube, (very bad since it has mature things but i loved it) i started to watch it for a while and i LOVED it. It was the best show I ever watched. Of course it was just the pilot but it was still amazing. After that I became a fan, a BIGGG ONE and I always told myself that I wanted to be a voice actor just for you/Vivziepop. And every time i see the show i maybe cried (i did) or got mad and maybe slapped myself lmao (sometimes)  but i always wanted to support you/Vivziepop by buying your/her merch but every single time i asked my mom said no. understandable since my mom hates demons🤷‍♀️, but thanks to my grandma i get to buy your/her merch and i am really glad that she let me, i'm trying to see if my auntie will help me too by buying more stuff just incase my grandma does not have much money left, i love your/her merch so much the acrylic stands are so beautiful and good quality and i love them so much of course my grandma has not given to me yet because it's for christmas but i saw them because i was really excited, after i waited for a while it did not take too long to come over here. my grandma told me it arrived and i literally RAN to the mailbox so fast (and with my asthma) i arrived to the mailbox and opened it so quickly that i could almost break the mailbox door, i saw the package and i grabbed it leaving the rest of the mail inside and ran back home to open it. I saw everything she bought me which was enough to fill my heart with joy, i saw the things she bought me, the verosika on stage acrylic, baby/kid stolas and baby/kid blitzo/blitz acrylic stand and the grimoire i started to cry so much because i felt successful and happy to help you/vivziepop and just even like watching your shows i feel like i helped by buying stuff and i feel so happy😊😊, and i always tried to draw some of your characters like blitzo/blitz or millie or even moxie (which my moxxie came out really good🥰🥰) and right now i am trying to draw fizzarolli😍. But as i was saying if you need a VA (which maybe you don't 😁) i'm here🥰🥰 butttttttttt i don't think i could do it either way but who knows🤷‍♀️ maybe i will or maybe i won’t🤷‍♀️. Just know that i'm your/her biggest fan LIKE BIGGEST and i will always support you/her anyway possible helluva boss changed my way of watching things and actually finding things funny and as well as the hazbin hotel pilot (soon to be SHOWWW⁉⁉ SO EXCITED‼‼‼) and to be honest i KINDAAA KINDDDAAAAA fell in love with alastor WHICH is MAYBE normal lmao, i have made some glass painting which i am maybe planning to make one just for you for all the support i give you🤩🤩, oh! And i forgot I have show my bigger cousin (who only watched spongebob or invader zim which are good shows) but i got her SOOOO hooked up on helluva boss that she is literally OBSESSED (JUST LIKE MEEEEE) and now everytime you/vivziepop posts a new episode we literally watching it together no matter what, AND I'M SO HAPPY YOU/SHE DIDN'T CHANGE THE DESIGN ON ALASTOR LIKE I LOVE YOU/HER BUT I WAS GOING TO DIE IF YOU/SHE CHANGED THE DESIGN LIKE THANK YOU⁉⁉⁉⁉. But yea im (a little crazy) about the hazbin hotel going on prime!! I'm like so happyyyy Like i started to cry when i watched the announcement LIKE OMGGGG!!!! I STARTED CRYING⁉⁉⁉ but i'm like really excited for it and i'm so happy for vivziepop/you to do hazbin hotel on prime I JUST HOPE I DON'T HAVE TO PAY BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE I ACTUALLY CRY😭😭😭😭😭.LIKE I WAITED SOOOOOOOO SOOOOOO LONG FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY TO WATCH IT LIKE I ALREADY HAVE A SHRINE OF…..you can guess (ALASTOR😍😍😍)

JORDYN: jumps up, checks her phone, realizes it is way after 6 pm, and looks at her phone to see 67 missed calls from all her friends. Jordyn was in charge of her best friend’s surprise party, where she was supposed to pick her up and bring her to the restaurant, when she realized everyone was there, and Jordyn had yet to get the birthday girl Lanee.

JORDYN: ( on the phone with Lanee’s boyfriend Mike): omg mike, I didn’t realize the time, and I am not ready. Can you please get Lanee and bring her to my house and tell her my car broke down, so that’s why I’m late to our “fake dinner,” I’ll get her in my mom’s car, so it’s more believable!

MIKE: Yea, Jor, I got you; Lanee said she’ll be ready in 25, so hurry and get ready 

JORDYN: THANK YOU SO MUCH. YOU’RE A LIFE SAVER

MIKE: anything for my birthday girl
