Elly-Mania: The Fastest Man in Baseball
Tumblr media
Elly-Mania: The Fastest Man in Baseball. Elly De La Cruz (EDLC), baseball's top prospect, has ignited the baseball world since making his long-awaited debut for the MLB's Cincinnati Reds. The Reds rookie has completely shattered Statcast norms with his insane raw talent. ORDER YOUR DE LA CRUZ T-SHIRT In my first four-part op-ed series for URBT News, I will use my personal experience as a lifelong baseball fan and eleven years of recreational baseball to demonstrate how evidence suggests that De La Cruz is a "once in a hundred years type of player." DOWNLOAD THE URBT NEWS APP Spectacular? Without a shadow of a doubt. The most dominant player on the base path? That is more difficult to assess, but it is worth comparing him to others who have quickly captivated the baseball world. In this third installment of the series, I will present evidence to put EDLC's blistering speed into context. The Oldest Competition When you think about it, attempts to measure speed date back millennia. The standard race is one of the oldest competitions known to mankind, if not the oldest. Begin here and end there. Whoever arrives first and is unquestionably faster wins. The 2022 season had the second-highest stolen base success rate of all time, at 75.4%, trailing only the 75.7% achieved in 2021. When MLB announced the addition of a pitch clock for the 2023 season, stolen base fans began salivating immediately. They had reason to: when the pitch clock and its associated pickoff limit were introduced to the minor leagues, stolen bases skyrocketed. This year, it appears that we will break the MLB efficiency record. Elly De La Cruz's insane raw talent has completely shattered statcast norms, proving that the base path is his domain. Who is the Fastest of the Fast? ORDER YOUR DE LA CRUZ T-SHIRT Elly-Mania: The Fastest Man in Baseball. In baseball, where other goals frequently get in the way, we try to find other ways to determine who is the fastest. Scouts time batters' runs from home to first and use that information, along with other hard data and their eyes, to assign a 20-80 grade to their run tools. The fastest of the fast receives an 80. The slowest of the slow receive a score of 20. Those grades, however, can be subjective. According to one scout, De La Cruz has an almost impossible three-of-five-tool grade of "80" on a 20-80 scale, making him even more talented than Fernando Tatis Jr. In contrast, interested parties who are not present at the games may look to stolen bases and triples to determine speed. Those figures, of course, are more about performance than pure skill, and they don't tell the whole story. Stolen Bases and Triples Elly De La Cruz has 26 stolen bases in 84 games since his Major League debut on June 6, 2023, averaging 3.23 stolen bases per game. With 26 stolen bases, he ranks among the top 20 in the majors. De La Cruz has achieved this ranking despite playing at least 20 fewer games than all but one of the remaining players ranked higher than him. https://youtu.be/tqavbxVZ90k?si=X0EDH6ZFNGdBmCWc Video: Elly De La Cruz Steals 2nd Base, 3rd Base then Homeplate! video: courtesy of: Baseball Is Everything via youtube. He has been caught stealing seven times, for a stolen base success rate of 78.79%, which matches the league base stealer success rate in 2023. His 26 stolen bases rank ninth in the NL, and his seven times caught stealing rank fourth. As a general rule of thumb, a base stealer with an SB% of 75 or higher is usually attempting to steal to help his team. Players who lack speed or steals frequently post high stolen-base percentages. If you like the fast-paced 1980s, this year's 1.4 successful stolen bases per game would fit right in during that era, when steals averaged between 1.4 and 1.7. ORDER YOUR DE LA CRUZ T-SHIRT De La Cruz puts pressure on defenses in a way that no one else has since Kenny Lofton, Ricky Henderson, and Carl Crawford changed the landscape of the game with their speed while still drawing free passes. De La Cruz's six triples rank sixth in the National League. Speed Score There is a stat that shows how fast -- or, perhaps, how effectively fast -- a player is without using a stopwatch. It is the Speed (Spd) Score. Spd is measured on a scale of 0 to 10, with zero representing the slowest and ten representing the fastest. Spd combines components centered on steals, triples, and runs scored to determine a player's ability on the basepaths. The league average hovers around 4.5. De La Cruz has a 9.0 speed rating. Sprint Speed Individual sprint speed is defined as "feet per second in a player's fastest one-second window" on individual plays. The Major League average for a "competitive" play is 27 feet per second, and the competitive range is roughly 23 feet per second (poor) to 30 feet per second (elite). A bolt is any run in which the runner's Sprint Speed is greater than 30 feet per second. According to statcast, De La Cruz has a sprint rate of 30.8 feet per second, which leads the league by.4 feet per second this season. De La Cruz has 144 competitive runs in 84 games. De La Cruz has 73 bolts, which places him fifth in the league. Only Kansas City Royals SS Bobby Witt, Jr. has a higher run-to-bolt conversion rate than De La Cruz among the four base stealers ranked higher than De La Cruz in bolts. Witt, Jr. has a 56% conversion rate, while De La Cruz has a 51% conversion rate. De La Cruz recorded a home-to-third time of 10.83 seconds on his triple during his June 23, 2023, cycle at a 30.5 ft/s run sprint speed. https://youtube.com/shorts/lb9Qwlb9mPs?si=xde2-hLTEW8f3Zii video: Elly De La Cruz fastest triple ever. video: courtesy of: Fuzzy via youtube. The "fastest man in baseball" then lifted the crowd at Great American Ball Park on August 18, 2023, with an incredible display of speed as he hustled from home to home in 15.30 seconds, the fastest home-to-home time by a Red in the Statcast era (since 2015) and the third-fastest home-to-home time in MLB this season. ORDER YOUR DE LA CRUZ T-SHIRT https://youtu.be/RzBG4P7eu-Y?si=x9h2paaJe_2XgG-5 video: Elly De La Cruz hits a "LITTLE LEAGUE HOME RUN". video: courtesy of: Cincinnati Reds via youtube. De La Cruz is the only baserunner whose sprint rate is faster than Witt, Jr.'s (30.4 ft/sec). HP to 1B Another measure of a baseball player's speed is their Home Plate (HP) to First Base (1B) time, which is the amount of time it takes a player to run from home plate to first base after hitting the ball. This metric measures a player's speed and ability to get on base quickly. De La Cruz has a 4.12 HP to 1B time, which ties him for fourth place with, you guessed it, Witt, Jr. https://youtu.be/H63HRfIBbpo?si=xKwEp5RAH-fpkKyE video: Elly De La Cruz Beats Out Ground Ball To First Base. video: courtesy of: Baseball Maniacs via youtube. Other Baserunning Statistics Elly-Mania: The Fastest Man in Baseball. In 373 plate appearances, his blinding speed has earned him 139 total bases, including 31 extra-base hits. Because of his speed, he has only grounded into six double plays (GIDP) in 42 opportunities to ground into six double plays (GIDPO). De La Cruz has 59 runs scored, for an average of.7 runs scored per game. What Lies Ahead? PICTURE: All-time record holder for stolen bases and runs scored, MLB Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson. PHOTO: COURTESY OF: New York Yankees via Reddit. Rickey Henderson holds the "unbreakable" major league record of 1406 stolen bases, an average of 56 stolen bases per season over his 25-year Major League Baseball career. De La Cruz, on the other hand, is faster than "The Man of Steal" Rickey Henderson, who was impossibly good at stolen bases and is revered as a stolen base deity by many. Could the "unbreakable" become fathomable if De La Cruz can stay healthy and play as long as Henderson did? Only time will tell! I’ve realized an issue I have with people who still deeply support Shane Dawson. A lot of them believe people who are turning away from him for what he’s done in his past and they believe he’s changed since then. While his past racism, and predatory behaviors play a part in it, another large piece of it is his behavior in recent years. In just the past year or two Shane has...
Given a platform to several controversial YouTubers
Poorly treated his former friend Garrett on YouTube. To the point where Garrett hints on the Sweet Boys podcast to still be dealing with insecurities and trauma instilled in him by Shane.
Had a poor working schedule with his former employee Andrew by having him work at his house, editing for weeks on end.
Wrote that Twitter post where he denounced the beauty community for things only a select few members partake in.
Alleged by Tati to have been a major player in the attempted James Charles takedown.
Alleged by Tati to have said that James Charles is too egotistical to harm himself or commit su*cide.
Had a raging meltdown on Instagram over Tati’s video and her allegations where he dismissed her trauma. Yet, he himself has made no attempt to rebuke her claims except to say she’s a manipulative liar. It’s not like he doesn’t have the power to defend himself if what she said were truly lies.
Adopted a new kitten but it died due to poor decisions made by him and Ryland. Then chose to make himself the victim of the situation on Ryland’s podcast.
Dismissed what happened in the summer as nothing but dumb internet drama on Ryland’s podcast.
Been sneaky with his fans by posting Instagram stories where he portrays himself as cutesy and innocent. Then he goes onto to promote sales of his merch but gives his fans no new content.
Has time to make Instagram stories about Animal Crossing but when his oldest friend, Trisha Paytas, needs him to stand by her, he does nothing. I’m not a Trisha fan but it must’ve been so disappointing for her when Shane was silent when she had stood up for him last summer. He’s literally losing every friend because he refuses to denounce Jeffree.
Personally, the anger I feel towards Shane comes from feeling deceived by him. He deceived so many with his nice guy routine. I trusted him when he said Jeffree Star was a good person or that people like Jake and Tana deserve a second chance. I see the error of my ways now. I just hope his remaining followers see his true intentions.
Feel free to reblog this with other things Shane has done in recent times.

Unapologetically | C. Makar Part 1
Tumblr media
Chapter word count: 3,526
A/N: Title from the song Unapologetically by Kelsea Ballerini. This is my first chaptered fic in a long time and my first written on here, so please be kind. This fic is based off a set of very vivid reoccurring dreams I’ve had over the last couple of months that involve Cale and like the true psycho I am, I wrote the big things that happened in those dreams down. Then I decided recently to just turn it to a fic, so this is pretty self-indulgent. Is it possibly narcissistic of me to write a fic about me? Maybe, but I’m gonna write it anyway. This first chapter is gonna be a lil boring and weird because it has a lot of time skips but Chapter 2 will be much more exciting and way better
Shoutouts: @pizzasloot and @hockey-and-wine for being my biggest cheerleaders for writing for this fic in the gc and also shoutout to @grenawitka for always keeping the gc lit. I love you girls!
Warnings: explicit language, alcohol use

Tatyana “Taty” Marie Ventura or “Ace” as she is now being known as, never thought that when she started a podcast in the comfort of her Rhode Island home, that she would kind of blow up. Taty started the Ace of Hockey podcast because she wanted a career in hockey media and wanted to do it her way, being unapologetically herself. She started the podcast and started messaging hockey players and other athletes in hopes that they would come onto the podcast to talk about diversity and inclusion in the sport.
That’s how she finds herself on an early October evening receiving a message from Cale Makar on how he’s a fan of the podcast. She internally screams because she never thought an actual hockey player would listen to the podcast. She assumed only hockey fans would listen to the podcast and that it would never reach the notoriety of other hockey podcasts.
From: calemakar_
Hey, just wanted to say that I’m a big fan of your podcast. Buddy of mine showed it to me and I think it’s fantastic. It’s helping me learn how to be a better ally
To: calemakar_
Thank you so much, that means a lot honestly!
From: calemakar_
You’re welcome. I’ve been showing it to the team and they think it’s great for them to learn how to be better allies
To: calemakar_
Wow, that means so much! I just want people to know that hockey is great but it would be so much better if it became inclusive to everyone regardless of sex, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, etc. I just want hockey to really be for everyone
From: calemakar_
That's what we all want. We don't want anyone to feel like they can't play or enjoy hockey because of who they are
She doesn't know how to keep the conversation because she's awkward and just lets the dm sit there. She turns her attention to the latest hockey news and figuring out who's gonna be her next guest for the podcast.
A few hours later, she sees a follow request on her personal IG account and not the podcast account. She sees it's from Cale and is confused on why he would want to follow her personal account. She barely posts stuff about the podcast on there and uses it more to keep up with family with the occasional posts promoting the podcast and the guests. She accepts the request and doesn't think anything of it.
A few days later, she notices that he's been liking her posts and viewing her stories. He's been seeing her interact with family and friends and she still doesn't understand why he cares enough to keep up with her personal account. It starts becoming weird when he adds her on snapchat.
She sends him a dm on instagram to make sure it's actually him and not someone pretending to be him.
To: calemakar_
This might sound totally weird but did you just add me on snapchat?
From: calemakar_
Yeah I'm sorry. Josty thought it would be funny to hijack my phone and add you
To: calemakar_
No need to apologize, I just wanted to make sure it was actually you and not someone trying to be you to catfish girls
From: calemakar_
Yeah no, definitely my account
She accepts him as a friend on Snapchat and sends him a message.
To: Cale Makar
Hope it's okay I added you back
From: Cale Makar
Yeah, that's cool. You didn't have to tho. Don't want you to feel like you had to
To: Cale Makar
Trust me I added you back because I wanted to. I don't just accept anybody
She hits send before she can even think twice about it but then she reads it back and wants the ground to swallow her whole. She panics as she watches the delivered turn into a read and the little bubbles show up saying he's typing. It feels like forever before Cale sends a response back.
From: Cale Makar
Well I'm glad you didn't add me back out of pity
She doesn't know how to respond to that right away so she opens up other messages and posts updates on her work on her story. She goes back to the messages and starts typing a response, not wanting to leave him on read forever.
To: Cale Makar
Why would anybody do that?
She exits out of it and hopes that her attempts at extending a conversation aren't met with disappointment.
From: Cale Makar
I admit you got me there
To: Cale Makar
I get people to say that a lot
From: Cale Makar
Never picked you as the type to brag
To: Cale Makar
There's a lot of layers to me and a lot of things you don't know about me
From: Cale Makar
Well I hope I get to know more about you
She blinks multiple times not knowing if the message was actually real. After blinking several times, she realizes the message was real and she lets out a squeal. Is he actually flirting with her? She pinches herself because she must be dreaming. There's no way her favorite hockey player and crush is flirting with her. Shit like that doesn't happen to her! She has zero game and has been on a grand total of zero dates in her life. She has had zero boyfriends and girlfriends in her life, so this is something brand new for her.
Maybe she's reading it wrong? Maybe he's just being polite and isn't actually flirting. She decides it's better not to stress it and just go with the flow.
That's how she approaches the next couple of weeks with her pumping out content for her podcast, working her actual day job, and working on her social media game for the podcast. She also dms tons of people she sees as potential guests on the podcast.
Her conversations with Cale become more frequent as she eventually finds herself sending him snaps daily. He actually feels comfortable enough to comment on her posts on her personal IG page now and she honestly doesn't know how this is all even real.
Like before she's not stressing it and is going with the flow. However, on the day of Cale's 22nd birthday, she gets hit with a message that causes her to freak out a little.
From: Cale Makar
Hey, is it cool if I got your number? It's much easier if I can just text you. I like you and want to keep getting to know you more
She hyperventilates because she has never had another human being shoe this much interest in her, her whole life. She pinches herself to make sure it's real and it really is real. Cale Makar actually asked for her number. She doesn't know if she should be jumping for joy or preparing for something to go wrong. This is completely uncharted waters for her and she doesn't know if she should go with her heart or her mind. Her mind is telling her not to do it, but her heart is telling her to do it. After a minute, she decides to go with her heart.
To: Cale Makar
Yeah, that's totally cool! (xxx-xxx-xxxx)
She sees a text from an unknown number a minute later pop up on her phone
From: xxx-xxx-xxxx
Hey, it's Cale
She saves the number under the name "Cale 🥰" and types out a response
To: Cale 🥰
Hey, happy birthday btw! Hope you're having fun!
From: Cale 🥰
Thank you I'm in Calgary rn with my family
To: Cale 🥰
Glad you're having fun with them
From: Cale 🥰
Thank you it's good to be back home
To: Cale 🥰
I can imagine! I'll let you get back to your family
She focuses on getting ready for Halloween, which also happens to be her sister's birthday. Her sister is turning 21 this year and she wants to make the most of it, even in the midst of a pandemic. They plan on going to Salem, Massachusetts with family and throwing a little party at a cousin's house in Brookline, Massachusetts. She sees Cale post pictures and videos on his Snapchat story of him and his family celebrating his birthday. She sees all his teammates wishing him a happy birthday on Instagram and Twitter.
As she’s getting ready to go to bed that night, she gets a video call from Cale.
“Hello?” she asks, not knowing why he would be calling her.
“Ace!” he shouts, causing her to cringe slightly.
“How’s your birthday going?” she asks.
“Great! I’m with my brother and some buddies from back home! We got a bonfire going on right now!” he explains, showing off the fire and his brother and friends.
She wants the ground to swallow her whole because she looks absolutely disgusting with her hair tied up in a bun, and old URI sweatpants and an URI sweatshirt on. She has no makeup on and she’s pretty sure she has some acne on her face.
“Hey Ace! I’m Taylor, Cale’s brother!” Taylor shouts in excitement.
She can clearly tell that he’s buzzed, as well as Cale.
“Hey Taylor,” she smiles, waving at him politely.
His buddies also introduce themselves and she can tell that they’re also slightly buzzed. A part of her hopes that they aren’t driving and are gonna make it back home safely whether tonight or the following day.
“You should come!” one of his friends suggests.
“I’d love to but I live in America and the border is still closed,” she replies, feeling slightly awkward.
“It’s a shame! I know Cale really misses his girl right now!” another friend chimes in, causing her to almost choke on her wine.
“I’m not his-”
“He won’t stop talking about you! He’s got it bad for you!” another friend adds, causing her to blush even more.
If the ground would swallow her up right now, that would be amazing because she can't believe the shit that she’s hearing right now. She doesn’t know if it’s the alcohol that has his friends saying that but a part of her wishes it’s true. God, a part of her wants him to want her because she definitely likes him. She likes everything about him but she’s too much of a loser to put herself out there more. So she just lets him do all the talking and flirting because once again, she has no game.
“Shut up Taylor!” Cale cries out, shoving his brother lightly.
“Well you seem to be having a fun time with your friends,” she says, not wanting to bring up anything that was said about his feelings for her.
“It would be better if you were here,” he adds, his voice dropping slightly in volume.
“Yeah, well maybe we’ll meet one day,” she adds, not wanting to sound desperate to meet him or anything.
“When I get back to the States, I’ll make that a reality,” he replies, sounding sincere for being slightly intoxicated.
She’s reminded of the saying that drunken words are sober thoughts and gets a warm feeling in her stomach.
“Well I’ll let you keep having fun, birthday boy. I’ll talk to you later,” she smiles.
“Bye Ace,” he smiles back, before ending the call.
She immediately refills her glass of wine because she’s definitely too sober to be thinking about all the feelings Cale manages to give her every time they talk. She eventually falls asleep and if she dreamed about being in Calgary with Cale, she’ll blame it on the alcohol fucking with her dreams.
The next day is a busy one for Taty as she celebrates her sister’s 21st birthday in the best way she can while in the middle of a pandemic. They go to Salem, Massachusetts and have a blast doing many Halloween-related activities and then once it gets late, they head down to their cousin’s place in Brookline, Massachusetts to watch Halloween movies and to have a good time. Her sister decides to get drunk and Taty posts all their adventures on her Snapchat and her Instagram. She also sees that Cale has been posting his Halloween adventures on Snapchat, which aren’t as exciting this year because there’s no Avs Halloween party this year due to it still being the offseason and not everyone on the team is in Denver at the moment.
The next few weeks go by for Taty and it eventually gets to the point that she’s video chatting with Cale every day. They sometimes will stay up until late at night just talking and getting to know each other. Every day she’s becoming more comfortable and it’s on the first day of training camp, where she decides she’s finally gonna grow a pair and let him know how she feels.
He calls her after a long day at training camp and she actually has the time to talk to him as she isn’t working on anything for the podcast or her day job.
“How was camp?” she asks him, as she locks herself in her room.
The last thing she needs is for her nosy ass sisters to eavesdrop on her conversations with Cale.
“It was tiring but fun. It was great to be out there with the guys again, even though everything is so weird with the virus going on,” he explains.
“Oh I bet, I can’t imagine all the testing and the extra precautions you guys have to take. The whole season is gonna be super weird huh,” she replies.
“Yeah, weird is a bit of an understatement,” he chuckles lightly.
“I really like you,” she blurts out, then immediately wishes the ground would swallow her whole.
She buries her face in her hands and contemplates ending the call to save herself from further embarrassment.
“Oh thank god! I was starting to think you didn’t really feel the same,” he admits, biting his lip.
“No I definitely like you. It’s just I’m new to this. I’ve never dated before or anything. I’m kind of a giant loser if you haven’t already caught on,” she admits, almost rambling at the end.
“Yeah no, you’re not a loser! You’re the coolest, most fun girl I’ve ever talked to and I just want to keep getting to know you because I really like you,” he assures her.
"So are we putting a label on this? Are we dating?" she asks.
"I guess you can say we're long distance dating," he chuckles lightly.
"I did know our video chats were considered dates," she teases.
"I was seeing them as dates and I want our future ones to be considered dates," he confesses.
"Alright so set up our next date," you tease.
"I know you're recording for the podcast tomorrow so what about Wednesday?" he asks.
"I'm off work Wednesday so that would be perfect. What time works for you?" she asks him.
"8pm my time," he answers.
"Yeah that works for me," she smiles.
"So it's a date?" he asks.
"Yeah it's a date," she smiles, getting a warm feeling in her stomach.
She tells him about some funny stories involving her family and he tells her some funny stories from training camp. They chat for hours and before she knows it, it's past midnight and she has to go to work in the morning.
“I need to go to bed. I have work in the morning. Goodnight Cale,” she yawns, waving at him
“Goodnight love,” he waves back, ending the call.
If she cheeses a little at the fact he called her love, no one is around to see it.
December goes by pretty quickly and she feels bad that her calls with Cale become less frequent. December is the busiest month at work because everyone is doing Christmas shopping (being a store manager is hard work) and she finds herself working double the amount of hours she worked before the holiday season. Add doing the podcast three times a week and she’s absolutely gassed. Luckily, Cale doesn’t hold it against her because he starts getting more busy with preseason starting and his parents coming down for the holidays. Taylor is currently in the middle of his final season in the AJHL so he can’t make the trip down to Denver for the holidays. They text each other every day throughout the month however, and she manages to call him on Christmas and on New Year’s Eve, asking him if he’s excited for the new season to start on the 2nd.
2021 starts off worse than 2020 started because of the pandemic but Taty manages to make the best of it. She watches the Winter Classic while on video call with Cale. Luckily, the Avalanche start their season off at home again this year. The following day, she finds herself rushing home from work to be able to catch the Avs first game of the season against the Wild. She makes it home and takes a quick shower before changing into her Cale jersey and joggers. She quickly eats dinner before going into her room. She puts the game on and makes it just in time for the players to come out to the ice. She watches the game and manages to text Cale throughout the game knowing that he won’t see the string of texts until after the game. He finishes the game with one assist and 2 hits, as the Avs win 4-2 to start off the new season on a high note.
As she’s getting ready for bed, she gets a call from Cale.
“Hey, great game,” she smiles, trying not to show how tired she is.
“Oh shit, I just realized how late it is over there,” he sighs, not wanting to keep her up.
“It’s okay. I always stay up past my bedtime to talk to you,” she teases.
“How was work?” he asks.
“Annoying. We’re winding down from the holiday season but we still got a lot of people shopping and returning stuff,” she explains.
“I don’t know how you do it honestly, being so young and running a store, I mean,” he explains.
“Yeah well luckily I’m only an assistant manager,” she replies.
“Still pretty incredible what you do,” he assures her.
“Says the NHL superstar,” she scoffs.
“Hey, I’m not a superstar at all! I’m just another player like everybody else trying to be the best at my position,” he explains.
“Why do you have to be so humble all the time?” she teases.
“It’s just who I am,” he shrugs.
“And I love you for it but like just admit you’re a superstar,” she replies.
“Fine, I’m a superstar. Happy now?” he teases.
“The happiest. When are your parents going back to Calgary?” she asks, switching the subject.
“Tomorrow,” he answers.
“I’m glad you got to have them with you for the holidays, though,” she adds.
“Yeah, it was great seeing them again. I just wish Taylor could’ve been here,” he replies.
“Yeah well you’ll see him once his season ends and on the bright side, he’ll be at UMass next season,” she adds.
“Yeah I just miss him. I always go home for Christmas and this year I couldn’t,” he explains.
“Yeah I can’t imagine what that’s like but it will get better,” she assures him.
“Yeah I know it will,” he nods.
“I wish I could be there to make you feel better,” she sighs.
“Yeah, well we’ll see each other next month,” he smiles, a hopeful tone in his voice.
“February 5th can’t come fast enough. I’m gonna blow you away with the best interview you’ve ever done,” she teases, referring to her interviewing him for the podcast.
“I guess we’ll have to see about that,” he teases back.
“You wound me, Makar!” she fake gasps.
“I’ll make it up to you with a killer real first date,” he smiles.
“I’ll hold you to that. I expect to be really wooed,” she teases.
“It’s gonna be the best date you’ve ever been on,” he almost guarantees.
“It’s gonna be the first date I’ve ever been on,” she informs him.
“I know. That’s why it’s gonna be the best you’ve ever been on,” he jokes, causing her to roll her eyes.
“You’re so funny, Makar,” she deadpans.
“Stop acting like I don’t make you laugh all the time, Ventura,” he teases.
“What happened to humble Cale? I like him better than this smug one I got here,” she teases back.
“Stop acting like you don’t like it,” he replies.
“Yeah, I like every side to you,” she admits.
“Well that’s good because I like every side of you,” he smiles.
She feels her cheeks heat up and that warm fuzzy feeling return to her stomach. Is this what falling in love feels like? She’s never felt this way before and god, she hopes the feeling never fades because it’s amazing. No wonder people love falling in love so much, it’s magical and she hopes she doesn’t fuck it up. She just counts down the days until February 5th praying to god that nothing goes wrong once they finally meet.

Some video recs for if you’re still in Quarantine Ennui: - I don’t know how Too Many Spirits (from Watcher, with Ryan Bergara and Shane Madej and Steven Lim) will come across to those who aren’t already fans of them from Buzzfeed Unsolved, but I THOROUGHLY enjoyed just how ridiculous this entire series was and how much fun they were clearly having and how being tipsy and then probably outright drunk was amping up that they were just having a blast being in person again for the first time in ages.  I genuinely laughed all the way through each episode! - Speaking of Buzzfeed Unsolved, season 7 of True Crime has started and there are 2 episodes + 2 Q&As up already!  I haven’t caught up, so I can’t say how this season is going compared to previous years (the previous years are so worth watching), but I do always enjoy them, there’s just such a goofy, ridiculous charm to them, that they’re at their best when Ryan and Shane are just sitting around shooting the shit and asking stupid questions about the cases they’re into and making fun of each other. - I recently saw Brandon Farris’ Learning To Knit video and was instantly charmed and immediately got sucked into watching a ton of his videos because he’s just so deeply delightful as a person.  While the learning videos are always fun (and he’s about the only person who I care to watch opening videos for, like he actually makes “opening boxes of presents from fans” really kind of fun!), my favorites are probably the 5 Minute Craft videos he did and they’re a good second place to start.  He’s just so clearly enjoying what he’s doing and enjoying doing ridiculous things/being a ridiculous person and it’s thoroughly entertaining to me. - I don’t always know how I feel about D’Angelo Wallace talking about specific people in his videos, sometimes it does feel a little “person who isn’t even involved makes a video on these often highly sensitive subjects”, but at the same time he clearly very thoroughly researches his videos, he makes a point to stay in the observer lane, he admits when he fucks up, and he’s really, really fair about it and I find his insights genuinely worthwhile.  He also does an amazing job of covering a subject, like I originally started watching him for the three part series on Jeffree Star, Shane Dawson, and Tati Westbrook, but his recent ones on Logan Paul and Jake Paul were absolutely fascinating.  I stayed up for hours after I should have gone to bed because I could not put those videos down, much of which is straight up due to the host’s charisma and that I find his take worthwhile to hear.  I feel like he’s genuinely fair to people, which is what keeps me coming back, like, I did not expect to end up “Logan Paul isn’t the worst person” afterwards, but that’s genuinely where it ended up!  I really, really like his videos. - I’ve watched a bunch of SarahZ’s videos and I feel like most people probably watched her for the My Immortal video, but I honestly didn’t care for that one, the research just didn’t quite add up for me (the Weird Apostrophe thing she talks about in the video as part of what made her link two people together is something I used to see in a lot of people back in the day, it was a formatting thing and I used to have to clean up so many FFNET files to get them to readable format on my reader because of it, so using that for evidence felt Ehhhhh to me) but I enjoyed her Dash Con video and Oncler Fandom videos.  I do find that I really hope she doesn’t wind up making the TJLC video, though, because even if she stays away from what happened at the con, I feel like too many people who were really hurt by all of that don’t want her to do it and that should be respected. - I watch pretty much every episode of Jim Sterling’s Jimquisition because I remember enjoying his style of talking from previous videos (well, and the whole “Digital Homicide Sues Jim Sterling for 10 Million Dollars” thing was a WILD RIDE) but I stay with him because he really does a thorough job of covering so much of the fuckery in the video game industry and he’s serious about how much stuff like loot boxes infuriate him.  There’s very clearly someone who cares about other people and doing right by social issues, while also trying to balance how the outrage machine of YouTube gets views versus that sometimes he wants to talk about good things, too, and I really like the balance he strikes for it. - Folding Ideas will get me to watch a video about just about anything, because he’s another one where I feel like it’s partly that I find his thoughts worthwhile to listen to and partly that the research generally feels really thorough, so I get a good view of whatever subject he’s talking about.  I originally found him for his Evangelion videos (here and here) but I also enjoyed his Flat Earth video a lot, too.

thots on the 'beauty community'/jeffree/shane tea? 💅🏼
Not that any of y’all would believe me (I wouldn’t either😂💀) but fairly recently I had really debated on making a post about how my distaste for Shane Dawson had been growing for months but I didn’t because I wasn’t ready for the wave of asks that would follow
Y’all know I can’t stand that rat jeffree star and I knew all the way back in 2019 that he was the one who orchestrated the whole bye sister bullshit. I swear on everything, that man is a sociopath. I can’t believe that he keeps doing these heinous acts over and over and he never gets cancelled because his cult following likes his makeup and thinks his ugly personality is fierce 😒😒😒
I used to think Shane was a very empathetic person and because of that he’s often easily manipulated by others around him and while that may have some truth to it, as the days go on and especially after that wack ass statement of his I believe that he’s actually a manipulator himself.
He had a direct hand in dramageddon 2 and when people began to question his actions/involvement he made some weird notes app statement where he basically said to leave him alone because he’s too sensitive for all this. Like he used his mental health as a get out of jail free card and essentially told us that we can’t get upset at J* for all the absolutely vile shit he does because that’s just who he is.
The craziest part of his whole flop of a statement was the part where he said that he didn’t warn James about the video and that he deserved what happened to him because he needed to “be served a big piece of humble pie”.
What??? Y’all are a bunch of 30/40 year olds sitting around plotting to ruin a 19 year olds life and career because you think he’s got a bad attitude??? James Charles was driven to the point of contemplating suicide because of false, defamatory claims made by Tati and jeffree and we’re supposed to be okay with that because the kid had a bit of an ego??? If you wanted to humble him why not have some kind of private intervention or idk, contact his fucking parents. Don’t accuse him of being a sexual predator
I could go on and on for days. I hate them all so much. Shane’s ego has exploded ever since he began making these mediocre “docuseries”. The Shane I liked and thought had made a change for the better was the one making goofy food videos and doing dumb stuff with the spooky bois but I think that was all a facade at this point

Excuse Me Miss- Jay Z ft Pharrell
Act Up- City Girls
Karla
March, 20th.
"Ok, what are you doing?" Taty's loud ass just had to walk in and interrupt the peace I was in enjoying in my hotel room.
"I'm reading" I wave my book in the air.
"Yes, I see you reading and you shouldn't be. Karla, we did not fly all the way from San Francisco to Miami for you to sit indoors with Audre Lorde" Taty walls towards me and grabs my book from my hands.
"Well you want me to relax right?" I ask her. "Yes with some Don Julio, in a club and maybe you go home with a man. It is Hot Girl Spring Break, get the stick of your ass" I now spot the bottle of Don Julio in her other hands.
"You're gonna make drink that?" I already know the answer
"Yes but by not here. Chanel found out this party they're having at this beach house and we're going. Her and Adrienne are already there" She passes me a black micro bikini. "And you're wearing THAT to the party so go get dressed. Now."
Taking the book from her hands, I put under my pillow and begrudgingly go into the bathroom to go change. It's been a while since I went a party so one in a beach house sounds like fun.
"Ok I'm ready. Let me just grab a sarong to wrap around my ass so it's not just hanging out the entire time" I walk out of the bathroom. Looking through my bag, I see something that wasn't originally in there.
"Taty?"
"Yeah"
I hold up the pack of condoms that magically appeared in my bag because I'm sure I didn't pack them.
"Did you put these in my bag?" I know she put them in there because it's such a Taty thing to do.
"Yeah, because I'm surprised you didn't bring any with you" She looks at me like I have two heads for asking that question.
"Look, I'm all for a hot girl spring break but I'm not looking to fuck a random dude. Getting drunk with my girls, that sounds like a good time"
"NOW...you are speaking my language. Well partially because I still don't get why you won't hook up with a random dude but enough chit chat. Let's go".
What sprung to mind when Taty said "beach house party" I was expecting a decent sized house and pool with a few kegs and red cups. The reality was literally something out of a Migos video.
Actually I wouldn't be surprised if all a sudden Offset or Quavo just popped out. Half of the girls here were influencers, making sure to get the perfect IG photo for their paid partnership with FashionNova with a City Girls or Meg Thee Stallion lyric as their caption. Speaking of taking pictures for the gram...
"Bitch...I need a picture with one of the pool floaties!" Chanel shouts from across the pool. Taty is all systems go to, phone at the ready to take the picture.
"Let see it!"
Tumblr media
Chanel is the dream IG model. I mean she could easily be a runway model. That's how pretty she is. She screams glamour and diamonds. An aesthetic she lives by.
"I'm surprised you got her out" She says to Taty.
"Can't I go a party without being dragged?" They act as if all I do is stay indoors. We haven't even been in Miami longer than a day and I get dragged for reading in the room.
"Yes you can but sometimes you need a little convincing"
Queen B, want no smoke with me. Then turned this motherfucker up 800 degrees. The opening bars of Savage Remix starts playing and I swear every chick in this party just lost their shit includes.
Bougie, he say the way that thang move is a movie. Adrienne joins us with a bottle of Hennessy in her hand ready for me to take a sip from. The familiar burn runs down my throat. The four of us start rapping the lyrics to each other.
"Hips tick tok when I dance, on that demon time, she might start an only fans" I start whining my hips and Chanel's loud ass starts hyping me up
"If you want to see some real ass, baby here's your chance" Chanel screams.
My eyes then spot someone looking at me. He's over in a private section of the party. There's a few girls around him but he seems to not be focused on them and rather his gaze is focused on me.
Tumblr media
"Karla, why that white dude staring at you like that. You know him or something" Taty has also noticed him staring at me.
"I don't know that man. He's probably Miami community dick anyway" I'm not entirely sold on what I said but a part of me wouldn't be surprised if he was.
"Community dick or not, he's fine. And I don't even like white men like that" Chanel gives her two cents
"Please say that louder with your racist ass. I'm sure he heard you the first time" I joke. Taty and Adrienne are now lounging on a chaise lounge and have swapped their bottles. My gaze returns back to the private section of the party and he's whispers into a waiter's ear but his gaze is still on me.
"Karla! You still need to drink some Don Julio. You've already drank some Henny" I'm sure Adrienne is already a bit tipsy. She's always been the one to get drunk the fastest but can wake up in the morning with no hangover. It's annoying
"Excuse me miss?" I snap out of my thoughts to see the same waiter with a Margarita.
"Sorry, I didn't order this"
"I know Miss. It's been paid for by Mr Brooks" he says.
"Girl, take it or I will" Taty says
"Hey it's my drink. I'll take it. Thank you"
"Karla, you should talk to him. Thank him up close and personal" Adrienne says with a wink. I know what that means and that's not happening.
"I'm sure he'd appreciate that" Of course Chanel is behind this.
"Alright! What do you want me to do? Suck his dick for buying me drink. Goddamn. You're right, I should say thank you to him. I'm going up there".
Jay Z 's Excuse Me Miss, one of my favourite tracks starts playing through the party
Excuse me, what's your name? I see some ladies tonight that should be hanging with Jay Z, Jay Z
As I walk to his section of the party, I realise how tall he is. Height wise around 6'1, 6'2, hair is slicked back. Ocean blue eyes. He's dressed pretty casual. White shirt, unbuttoned. White tank top and some shorts. Cartier Watch and a Corona in his hand. Got a little stubble on his face.
"H-Hi" Why is my voice sounding so nervous?
"James Brooks"
Excuse me Miss, what's your name. Can you come, hang with me. Possibly can I take you home tonight
"Karla. Thanks for the drink, that was nice of you" I go to sit opposite him. Now that I'm closer, I see his eyes aren't totally blue. He has a small brown fleck in his right eye. I guess even things that appear to be perfect have their little cracks.
"Thought it would be a nice party favour" he smiles.
"Is this your party?" Would make a lot of sense. He definitely looks like someone who is balling.
"No, it's my client's. But my agency helped organise it so I thought I'd come by. Have some fun. Meet some new people" A smirk crosses his face when mentions the last part.
"Well you're certainly the people person aren't you? I ask.
He laughs. Why am I flirting with this random guy that bought me a cocktail. It must be the Hennessy.
"You live in Miami?"
"No, I'm from the bay. San Francisco. I'm just here with my girls for spring break"
"Nice. I wouldn't mind showing you around Miami. Take you to couple nice spots" I don't know why am immediately taking him up on his offer because I barely give a guy the time of the day but fuck it!
"Maybe you can" He reaches into his wallet and passes me a business card. "You really walk around with business cards. You're that guy?"
"I'm not. I just occasionally take one with him for...insurance" That goddamn smirk come back and it's kind of sexy.
"Insurance? Well I should get back to my friends. I'll see you around" As I walk away, I hear "Hopefully you will"
"What did he want?" Taty asks. "Nothing really, he was just being nice and gave me his number" I wave the card around before putting in my purse. Don't wanna lose that.
"So nice he gave you his number?" Her face now has the famous Taty "that's bullshit" expression, typically reserved for men.
"Karla, no one is that nice. You gonna call him?" Chanel asks
"Maybe. Don't see the harm in trying" I look back up to where he's sitting and he raises his bottle. In response I raise my glass in his direction.
"Well, at least he's fine" Adrienne chimes in
A/N- Hi, so a couple things. Jorja Smith is Karla, in case you didn't guess from the cover. Also they'll be different songs associated with each chapter because I listen to music when I write to sort of capture the environment the characters are in since I visualise the songs. (It's odd I know) Hence the reason why you'll see lyrics in italics

Write Like Hamilton - Tom Holland
Pairing: Tom x Author!Reader
Requested? Yes! By anon x
Hamilrequest #41
“I wrote my way out when the world turned its back on me.”
I actually really like this request! Thanks for this anon <3
P.S. there’s some truth in this one. Hint: it’s the Chris Colfer thing. Let’s just say that Y/N was based on me lmao. I’m also finding it cute that this has 1998 words hihi
Tumblr media
Everyone has opinions about someone or something. These opinions root from an issue that went viral and spread like wildfire. Regarding the said issue, the audience may say good things or bad things. Of course those who are victims of the said issue speak out and for some reason get hate or love for it, depending on the audience. Some victims choose not to speak out and they get all the hate in the world for addressing something the audience aren’t even included in. Some victims speak out, out of nowhere and just like that, they win in the issue.
An example of that would be James Charles, who single-handedly saved his own career by releasing a video. We won’t dig deeper into that, but James really did well in that part. Of course, there were people who still hated him, but at this point, I’m sure he doesn’t care about that anymore.
Like James, you became a victim of a certain issue that sparked out of nowhere. You were a very successful author. You wrote a lot of things from short stories to novels and from poetry to children’s books. You really wanted a wide range of people reading your books and that’s why a lot of people liked you, because families can read all of your books in one household and you were proud of yourself for that.
With the money that you earned from writing, you were able to donate books to different schools around the world especially in third world countries who really needed it. You were basically an angel in the community of education.
Of course, not all people thought of that. They thought you were pretentious and that you were only doing it for publicity and money. They even had the audacity to say that you had a ghost-writer, but that was immediately debunked by your loyal readers and yourself, because you uploaded a video on your YouTube channel about the process of you writing a book.
Life went well after that. Your career was sky-rocketing and you were able to catch the attention of the world’s famous heartthrob, Tom Holland.
He tweeted you first when you were bored out of your mind and decided to take a break from writing. You thought it would be a fun idea to interact with your fans, because they deserved it after all the times they’ve supported you and backed you up. So you tweeted that you’d be doing a #AskY/N. Tom obviously had your notifications on, because he was such a fan and he got really excited when he saw that.
He wasn’t an active Twitter user and he normally wouldn’t check it, but he decided ‘fuck it, I’ll send in a question’. He wanted his question to be different from others so he asked you if you’ll be releasing a book that year.
You saw it and you were surprised that THE Spider-Man actually liked your work. You, of course, responded in a professional way: “@TomHolland1996 as a matter of fact, yes! I’ll be releasing a book this year. I’m actually working on it right now as we speak. It’s a children’s book.”
From then on, you both started talking a lot and somehow ended up dating. You’ve been dating for two years now and you loved every second of it. Both of you were really supportive in each other’s passion and career. Sometimes, he would even help you in writing a plot. In return, you would help in practicing his lines. You’d also help him and Harry with the script that they were working on.
Your life could’ve been better if it weren’t for that person on Twitter who had a lot to say about you. That person tweeted something about you stealing ideas from Chris Colfer.
Glee star. People’s Choice Award winner. Teen’s Choice Award winner. Golden Globe award winner. Screen Actors Guild Awards winner. Emmy nominated actor turned author, Chris Colfer.
The tweet went viral and most of them didn’t know how to feel. Some people didn’t know who Chris was. Some people didn’t think you were stealing ideas from him. Some people agreed with that Twitter user who started it. Some took the time to read both yours and Chris’ books that apparently had major similarities and concluded that there were none.
You didn’t know what to do. You didn’t cry, because if you were being honest, that situation wasn’t worth crying for. The people who knew the truth was you and the people around you who knew where your ideas are from. You were really hurt, because of the accusation made against you.
You saw what happened to James Charles after Tati Westbrook uploaded that ‘BYE SISTER’ video. He was destroyed. You knew that the issues that were brought up against you and James were very different, your situation wasn’t. It was very similar.
Like Tati’s video, the tweet came out of nowhere. In this situation, the Twitter user was Tati and you were James. You couldn’t imagine how James must’ve felt when his mentor did him dirty like that. You also couldn’t imagine how alone James felt when he lost everyone.
You decided that you’d address the situation once everyone has calmed down. Tom wanted to argue, because he was really mad. He wanted to defend you like the good boyfriend he was. After all, before he met you, he was a massive fan and he still was. He read all of your books so he had no problem defending you.
You told him that he didn’t have to, because you had it under control. Besides, he couldn’t defend you when he hasn’t read the books of Chris Colfer, himself. You told him that he should at least read one book from Chris Colfer before saying anything. Tom felt stupid, because he never even thought of that. You assured him that it was alright, though.
You were really thankful that, like you, Chris Colfer hasn’t said anything. He’s an unproblematic public figure and you wanted him to live his best life.
The storm like issue started to calm down and as promised, you addressed the issue. You didn’t want to write a really long thread on Twitter, because you wanted to express everything that was going on in your mind for the past week. You made a wise decision by speaking out about it on your blog. You wanted it to be short and simple yet concise and full of information. After that, you tweeted: “Here’s my take on the issue said against me. *insert link to your blog*”.
Tom was really proud of you for writing your way out of that messy situation single-handedly. The person who accused you publicly apologized on Twitter and of course, being the forgiving person that you were, you forgave them and decided that the past was in the past.
After reading your statement, Chris Colfer tweeted you and said that he knew what was going on, but he wanted to hear your side instead of other people. He thanked you for being honest and he even DMed you on Twitter, asking if you wanted to collaborate for a children’s book.
Hi! It’s Y/N and in this week’s topic, I’ll be talking about the issue that I was involved in. I’ve been writing since I was fourteen and it wasn’t until I was eighteen when I started REALLY writing books. I sold my first book ever and I was really happy it was a success.
Then it turned into a full-time job over the years and I couldn’t believe it. All my dreams were coming true all because I decided to write down my imaginations and turn it into books. I haven’t stopped since and I don’t plan on stopping which is why I wanted to clear my name.
Out of all my years in writing, this issue was the first to really drag my name down and I’m not proud of it. After all, who would be proud to have their name dragged around for something they didn’t do?
To those of you who are confused, I was recently accused of stealing ideas for children’s books from Mr. Chris Colfer. Specifically, my first children’s book. A Twitter user said that when they read my first children’s book, it was very similar to Chris Colfer’s ‘The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell’. I haven’t had the blessing of meeting Chris Colfer yet, but we both follow each other on Twitter. You could say that we’ve became acquaintances over the years of replying to each other’s tweets and participating in every QnA one of us tweets.
I’ve known Chris for a long time more so than he’s known me. You see, I’ve been a fan of his ever since he starred in Glee. You know, the tv show about these teens in glee club and their struggles in high school. This show has been diverse ever since the beginning and it’s one of the reasons why I love it.
Chris was the reason why I wanted to write books and publish them. I was first in line when he released his first book ‘The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell’ and it wasn’t until his third book ‘The Land of Stories: A Grimm Warning’ when I realized that I wanted to write and publish my own book. I sold my first ever book a year later and it was a success.
For those of you who really know me, you’ll know that my first book wasn’t a children’s book. My first book was a love story and it was inspired by real people and my brain just decided it would be cool to mash them all up together. Kind of like that movie Valentine’s Day.
The moment I realized that I could write a children’s book was when I babysat my niece and she asked me to tell her a bedtime story. Naturally, I picked a book from her book shelf but she told me she wanted story that was done by me. I wouldn’t tell her the story of the romance books I’ve written so, I racked my brains out to produce a story that a 6 year old could understand and like. She liked it. No, she loved it. I thought it wasn’t book worthy so after she went to sleep, I just wrote it in my drafts to include it in a short story compilation. I forgot all about it, but then a few months later, she died in a car crash. I was so heartbroken. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know how to grieve.
Then I remembered the story I told her, the one I made up on the spot; the one she loved. I decided that instead of crying my eyes out, I would continue writing that story. That, my friends, was how my first children’s book was born. That book was to pay homage for my 6 year old niece who would never grow up to see and feel the magic of life. That plot of that book was sincerely made on the spot and I kept making things up as I continued writing it. I’m very sure that there were no similarities from my book and Chris’ book. I know this because I’ve read ‘The Land of Stories’ a bunch of times. Maybe the magical part was the only similarity, but all kids love magic. It’s a given when you’re going to write a children’s book. Magic would be the first one to come up.
I don’t want to fight. Instead, I’ll be the bigger person. This statement is simply just addressing all the facts. I do not wish for my name or Chris’ good name to be sullied.
I’d like to end this statement by thanking Chris Colfer for inspiring me to pursue this career and Chris, if you’re reading this, I just want to tell you that I love your work and I support you and I hope we get to meet each other one day.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this.

*Mentions of surgery details and body parts*
Hi there, I’m Tati. I’m an independent artist, music producer, DJ and performance artist. I identify as gender fluid, trans and non-binary. My pronouns are they, them. I have always considered myself extroverted but this entire process has taught me that I am more introverted than I thought lol.
I have been waiting to get top surgery for a couple years but being from Canada, and no longer being on HRT... I realized that the healthcare system wouldn’t allow me to have access to a free top surgery so I decided to get it done in Mexico City with a great surgeon named Dr. Ricardo Maldonado Ruelas. I was recommended by a non-binary person to look into the process of top surgery with him since they had a great experience. After meeting him myself, I felt safe and ready to pursue the process. I started a Go Fund Me and thanks to the support of my community, I was able to reach my goal within a few weeks and get my first surgery right away.
My first surgery consisted of the rebuilding of the chest and I am currently awaiting for the second surgery which should be within 3-6 months after the first one and this one will be to resize the bottom part of my nipple.
I decided to create this blog to share updates and details of my healing process from getting my top surgery. When I first was researching about this surgery, I felt overwhelmed at the lack of references from black bodies. I spent countless hours on so many social platforms seeking to find people with similar skin colours as mine to share about their experience, to look at how they scarring went... I found maybe one youtube video from a nonbinary black person ( linked in my are.na) and very few instagram posts. I now understand the importance of sharing my journey with you all and I hope to bring comfort to any black person who has been looking into getting this surgery.
This blog will contains some written updates and some pictures of the progress of my chest.

The dolan twins. Ethan and Grayson Dolan. First knew about them because of James Charles. Wasn't even a fan of James Charles but I saw his house tour vid (if u know what vid im talking about its the part where in James' room the piano the twins gifted him) so thats where I started watching the Sister squad, emma chamberlain and the dolan twins. I loved them! Just a shame of maybe James' drama with Jeffree and Tati made them stop hanging out with each other online. (dont know if that's really the reason the sister squad was no more, I'm just assuming) but back to the dolan twins, I became a fan, subscriber, IG follower, binge watcher of their content. I always look forward to their weekly tuesday upload I even started reading fanfic here on tumblr and I can't say I didn't enjoy reading some of it. 😏
Then they made a video about how they will take a break in their weekly upload to focus on their mental health. Which is important, I get it. I wish them genuine happiness and peace of mind. Slowly after that their content became realer? Like they seemed more chill, relaxed and just being themselves which was nice to see they're not forcing any pranks just for the views, which I appreciated but some people don't. And they have a podcast now where they get deep? (haha okay sry i mean it is called deeper w/ the dolan twins)
Present time: they still have this random uploads, ethan has a girlfriend now. But I stopped watching them. Not hating on them! But their content was predictable and it bored me. I noticed they lost followers and subscribers so recently I checked their channel after awhile then opened one of their recent vid and when I saw the comments... Some of it was about how they stopped watching the twins, how they're failing to be a good role model, how ethan was all about his girlfriend, how they liked them when they were uploading every tuesday.
My thoughts: Yea I stopped watching them but some people in the comments are unbelievable, claiming they've been a fan for a long time I'm assuming they have watched their uploads before. They say they like the twins when they're uploading every tuesday but the twins felt they were forcing it to make people (fans) happy that they were distancing themselves with their family and need to grieve their father's death. I mean, it really fucked them up. And leave ethan alone for flexing his gf in his vids and IG, I mean he's happy right? Okay I get it you stopped watching/liking them but for that person to comment she/he finds ethan annoying for being all about kristina is a little shallow my guy. ✋🤦🏻‍♀️
If u have made it to this, thank you so much for reading. ❤️💜

Rock the Rink Write-Ups (Kitchener & Sauga)
Hey Everyone!! This is going to be a combined write-up on both my shows in one. I’ll make reference to specific shows as I go but it’ll be my overall impression 🙂I went to Kitchener with @makeitcountmeggy & @canadianvirtues & @danelledo (who was working). And I went to Mississauga with another friend and Danielle. In Kitchener, we had ice side seats in the absolute center which was AMAZING. Luckily we ended up having the aisle seat which meant Danielle could come shoot right next to us and Trennt ended up sitting with us as well. In Sauga, I was near the tunnel on the corner, not the best seats but also not terrible.
I thought that the show overall went by SO FREAKING fast, which typically isn’t something that strikes me with shows. The Birds of Bellwoods were great live, their songs sound identical to their recordings which is nice to see. I was defs jamming in my seat to all of them. Stevie must chug an energy drink before he goes on with all the running he does, it’s hilarious. Just like back and forth and circles around the stage.
I love how they do the countdown before they come out, it makes it feel big and exciting. Throughout the whole show, I love how the skaters GIVE it to the max- especially Scott and Tessa. Looking at Scott’s face he is just LIVING his best life out there. I thought the choreo was stunning. I noticed the second time I saw it how there’s so much going on that it’s easy to miss little moments because of how seamlessly it’s all knitted together. Seeing the Sympathy of the Devil intro again still gives me goosebumps. It’s such a powerful program and they really cover the ice so quickly in it. Makes me miss competition days. Seeing Carolina, Tati and Max, and Jeremy for the first time was really something special. Carolina has such magic and artistry it’s phenomenal. She really draws you in and captivates her audience. She also has great choice in costumes! Jeremy’s jumps are super high and he goes into them without much lead up. Tati and Max are also so amazing, the high and distance of their throws are unparalleled and it really makes you gasp - it’s the quality of elements that really set the Russian teams apart. I also have to say the fact that Tati had a baby and still has that much flexibility is crazy. Tati also just sits back in her landing position so nicely like it’s no big deal she just landed that throw. Sitting beside Trennt at the Kitch show-- he was totally fangirling over Tati and Max. He was in awe and even gave them a standing ovation. Chiddy’s program was really fun! I liked that it was fast and he could really let go in it. I thought it was a little messy when I saw it in Kitchener but it was much better in Sauga. Kaetlyn’s program is super cute, fits her very well and she seems super comfortable in it. The Sauga show for her solo was a messy one she fell on most of the jumps so I’m glad I got to see it in Kitchener.
Wish You Were Here...I have to start off by saying how full circle this is that they always said how it was music they’ll come back to one day for Scott’s grandfather and Tessa’s grandmother and it’s just so sentimental. In this program, I still get heart palp moments when they skate – it’s like magic. It just blends together and really transcends time. Like did the program just start? Is it over already? And they just look at each other that way like they feel everything the other person is feeling and we’re just lucky to watch. Also, it’s so easy to see the balletic elements shine through in this program. I love how many moments they have with gorgeous lines and they hit those poses that are just beautiful and communicate the feelings and emotions. Scott wearing the poppy on his chest in the black outfit was really touching, he’s always been very supportive of veterans and it was nice to see that touch.
Having Special Olympians part of the show is SO SO SO special. What a lovely stage to showcase these dedicated athletes. At both of my shows they got standing ovations and they got to celebrate a well skated program. I love Tessa and Scott for choosing to include.
Speakeasy was really well done! The acting is just so over the top and perfect I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT. Every little detail is choreographed so well with the faces, little flicks of the wrist and well timed smiles. The longing looks and winks. IT’S LIKE A MOVIE. Sway... oh man sway... sway makes me LIVE. Every turn and hold and lift. It throws me into the era so hard I don’t want to get out. VM are just stunning and will forever be. The way their bodies mirror each other and how they can just react to every hip sway and hold of each other. It’s the freedom they bring when they skate with each other that they can let go it give themselves to the choreo bc of the trust they have with each other. One is never over the top because the other is just a perfect match. Can I also have Tessa’s costume in my size please because I want to wear it every day?
Let you go was so beautiful. Nothing beats live music, and I love the interweaving choreo. Also, those black body suits are stunning. Did I mention Carolina is stunning she’s just so flowy and elegant? It’s a nice simple moment that’s visually appealing.
Motown is another number that makes me want to get up and dance with the crew! No word of a lie I want to learn the choreo hahaha. Everyone commits to characters in this number just as much as the last one. I love the little embedded story lines like Patrick and Kaetlyn. It’s such a fun medley of music that is just a party on the ice. I noticed during this number some extra details like when Tessa is being lifted in the split Scott is doing a fun little thing with Carolina and Kaetlyn on the other side. It’s cool to watch from different angles so you can notice things like that. Gotta love VM slow dancing, will never get old. I’ll be like 50 and come watch these videos and be like YEP THAT’S GOOD STUFF.
Fix you— I prepared myself to be like a mess and I wasn’t. The video of course is emotional to watch but I cried the first time I saw it online not in person. The skate itself is gorgeous I love the choreo how they get pulled away and then they find that moment in the middle at the crescendo of the music and it’s just perfect and we get a little latch and a little umbrellas. A perfect little ending, if anything I wish it was longer so we could live in it just a bit more. I couldn’t help think of all the moments that have led up to this as I watched them skate for the last time-- all the moments that we as fans have been privy to which certainly is only a fraction of the ones they have to look back on. What a blessing for them to go out on their own terms rather than by injury or circumstance or anything like that. They’re going out because they’re content with what they have accomplished and what they want to represent as skaters-- an era of pure excellence. How wonderful that we got to witness that?
Kudos to Charlie White for an INCREDIBLY well choreographed show! I do have to add that thanks for Danielle-- me, madi, and Meg got to meet Charlie and Andrew Poje after the show. We were just on ice waiting for Danielle and then they walked by and we were totally dumbfounded and then Danielle introduced herself and we got to sneak in a quick moment and grab a picture which was awesome cause I really wanted to meet Charlie.
Shout out to everyone in this wonderful crazy mess of a fandom that I’ve got to share any part of the VM journey with. I’m so incredibly blessed to have met some of my favorite people, best friends, and people that understand what it’s like to be in this fandom. I’m so grateful to have witness so much of their skating in person and I can wait to continue to support them as people.

Rock The Rink 2019 - Abbotsford
I thought I might try to write about my personal experience in the show. It’s going to probably be a lot of rambling so bear with me if you’re up for it...
Tbh after watching TTYCT I never thought I will be able to watch another show where Tessa and Scott perform. Coming all the way to Canada isn’t an easy task (not to mention costly) and between work and my master’s and real-life hassles, it felt like a once in a lifetime thing. But between making several personal changes over the last few months after a personally difficult year and deciding to take some time to myself and travel in North America for several weeks I knew that I will make an effort to somehow make it work. Vancouver seemed like the most realistic option and since it was also on my bucket list, the Vancouver show was chosen. When I learned that this will be their last tour (forever? for a while? who knows) I knew I wanted to add another show and with the help of good people in this fandom it happened. It’s a good time to thank all of those who reached out and offered a ride - it’s easy to get wrapped up in the negativity of this fandom but there are also truly nice and warm people here.
So for the interesting part - the show, I absolutely loved it. The cast is truly spectacular and the chemistry between them is palpable. I also thought the choreography of the group numbers is some of the best I’ve seen in a long time -  it felt fresh, mature and cohesive. There was almost like a linking line between every group number and the smart decision to let everyone in the cast shine during them while still somehow giving Tessa and Scott the center stage in most of them was a smart one and one that really paid off. The band part was good as well (especially when they perform the acoustic version of their song) but I will say that the decision to have a long break after their set (while understandable for production needs) is a little bit questionable. Still, once the show begins it’s 90 minutes of nonstop skating which is truly amazing.
The individual numbers (no spoilers):
I’ve never seen Jeremy Abbot skate (other than his Sochi programs) and I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable I found him to be. Plus every time he did a backflip the crowd lost it - he is definitely good as a crowd pleaser and I can totally see why he was added to the show.
KO is always a joy to watch and I felt like her number was also about her embracing herself, physically it’s obvious she’s changed now that she’s not in elite athlete shape, but she’s just as gorgeous as she was before and she has such a warm and smiley energy that you simply can’t help but enjoy her.
Both Elvis and Patrick were a hit with the older ladies and it’s always funny to watch the ladies go crazy over both, especially over Elvis. At some point, Elvis did a move and ended up right by a group sitting on the ice level and one woman was so excited I swear she started screaming.
Tati and Max still have the tricks that’s for sure, I never noticed how impressive Tati is on the ice, but this time I definitely did. They hit some beautiful poses and overall seemed ecstatic to be there and the crowd showered them with love.
Caro. Tbh I have no words to describe Caro. It was the first moment during the night that I was close to tears, it’s basically her moving on the ice, no jumps, but it was so enchanting you just know she puts a spell on the audience.
The group numbers:
I don’t want to write much because I don’t want to spoil anything, I truly think that the experience will be at it best when you know as little as possible (though I totally get watching the HD videos some are gracious enough to share). I will say again that I think the choreography was more mature and enchanting. It was more than just skating for the entertainment value (which is perfectly fine) but there was an added layer to the choreography and the performances. It was apparent that the cast loves those numbers, they were so into it and truly gave it everything they have and I think that with more time and getting more comfortable and familiar with the material, it will become even more special. There is something to be said about the age of the cast - having almost the entire cast be in their 30s really brings a level of maturity to the skating that you rarely see. It also emphasizes how longevity in figure skating should be valued, encouraged and aspired.
The costumes:
I have to give a major shout out to Mathieu for the costumes. Every costume was well made and fitted the theme of the dance. I think one of my favorite dresses was Caro’s dress for her solo. The costumes also really emphasized certain let’s say features of the male skaters, and that’s also highly appreciated. The 20s number costumes are also absolutely to die for and I’m not really familiar with the level of success Mathieu had prior to working with TS (I know he was doing skating costumes, not sure to what extent) but with him doing the costumes for the show for the second time and also doing the costumes for BoTB I will assume his partnership with TS turned out to be very beneficial for him (as it should, I don’t love everything he does but there’s no doubt he is amazingly talented).
Tessa and Scott
Saving the best to last... Where do I even begin? There was so much being said prior to this tour, about how they will maybe phone it in, about how they will have no chemistry, about how Scott doesn’t care. None of it is true and this show is the best proof for it. Their chemistry is still off the charts and can be felt in every move they make. Their quality of skating is second to none, the little nods to past programs were a punch in the gut in the best way possible and their love for what they do could be seen and felt during the entire show. Scott’s energy levels for the entire 90 minutes of the show are something I have no idea how he even sustains, he was all in, and Tessa shines like the bright light she is. Together they truly give everything they have during the show.
As for the video, it was both heartbreaking and beautiful, they were both visibly emotional and said beautiful things. It is however not the only or even last thing they say about each other, so it should really be put in some perspective. The following Fix You number was also gut-wrenching and beautifully choreographed and performed.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And to finish on a personal note - I’ve been following Tessa and Scott for close to 6 years now. It’s been a ride I could have never imagined when I first watched them skate in Sochi for the first time. So to watch them being constantly reduced to mostly made up personal drama is more frustrating than I could put into words. It was frustrating when every little thing was being used as proof of them dating and it’s even more frustrating to watch it being used as proof they hate each other and or whatever the current narrative is. It’s bad when outside forces are being accused of being the cause of their supposed hatred for each other and it’s even worse when it’s one of them that’s being cast as the villain of their story (for a long time it was Tessa, now it’s Scott). No one is saying things are the same as they used to be, but the change was bound to happen and does not mean that things are as gloom and doom as people insist they are. I’m not trying to change anyone’s mind, as I said before some people seem determined to make themselves suffer, but I’ll be damned if I let it get to me. It’s easy to lose perspective sometimes and try to use this platform to fight the negativity, but the cost of it sometimes gets too high on a personal level. So for the rest of the tour, I will do everything I can to keep myself in a positive headspace only, It’s what I deserve and it’s what they deserve as well.

The Gabbie Hanna Drama
YouTube is a platform where creators can create content and videos that people will be interested in watching. Many times, creators will use click bait as their title and the thumbnail can be somewhat over exaggerated. YouTube are also in different communities as well. You got your beauty community which contains Jeffree Star, James Charles, Michelle Phan etc. The Gamers which have Markiplier, Jacksepticeye and Pewdipie. But today, the community I want to talk about is the storytimers because many Youtubers are part of that community are some low-key drama. Storytimers in which the majority of them are females talks about things that happened to them in the past or just recently in order to get views. storytimers are most likely to have a messed up childhood and can’t seem to stay of child and the story mostly includes them making dumb decisions. Although many people actually enjoy watching this community, storytimers can be somewhat untrustworthy. Because they are over exaggerating an incident that happened to them it makes the viewers feel skeptical and wonder what happened to them as they said is true or not. This also will follow them If they are stuck controversy as well. When reading that part, the first you can think of is Tana Mongeau. A 21 year old Youtubers who makes storytime videos and have been a fair share of controversy as well. However this topic isn’t about Tana Mongeau, not this is about another storytimer whom is similar to Tana and that is Gabbie Hanna.
Gabbie Hanna is a youtuber that I did frequently watch at one time but stopped because I found other entertaining Youtubers. Like Tana, Gabbie has made storytime videos and also over exaggerates in her videos just like other any storytimers would. Before going on youtube, Gabbie was a viner. An platform where you can make a video only 16 seconds. However when Vine was shutdown, many of the vines went to YouTube including Gabbie Hanna herself. This gave Gabbie an opportunity to talk about things that happened to her in the past or even just three months ago. Because Gabbie was popular on vine many people had their opinions on her already. Gabbie is 50/50, some love her while others not so much and like Tana, Gabbie has been in controversies which gives people many opinions on her. The biggest one would have to be the incident between her and ricegum. They were at a party, Gabbie was trying to get ricegum to do a rap battle with her, other stuff were mentioned and ricegum broke Gabbie’s phone. This incident happened in 2017 and Gabbie has been in a few controversies like when she faked herself being in coachella and when she encouraged her fans to buy these brushes from a website called but many fans were scammed and got these cheap-like brushes instead. Since than she hasn’t been in any controversies for past 10 months.... until now.
Gabbie has been into another controversy from both different people in different dramas. Trisha Paytas And Jessi Smiles. The first one being with Youtuber Trisha Paytas And the feud between the two is more high school drama. Trisha makes a video talking about how Gabbie told Jason that Trisha had STDs and according to Trisha, she doesn’t have them. Gabbie responded by saying that she didn’t say Trisha had STDs, a close friend of Trisha told her and didn’t know whether or not it was true. She only told Jason Nash whom was dating Trisha Paytas about it so he could be more careful. At one point, Gabbie says that Trisha has been harassing another youtuber Gabi demartino Trisha saw the tweets from Gabbie Hanna and publicly said that she was suing Gabbie Hanna for defamation. There were other things that happened in the drama, but they aren’t that important and also not surprising at the same time. The controversy didn’t end there for Gabbie Hanna and another had come to centre, this time a bit more serious. Gabbie and another youtuber named Jessismiles were at one point, they made videos together and so on. The two had a falling out and are known longer friends. It’s unknown why they aren’t friends anymore but after this recent conflict that Jessi talks about in her recent video, the friendship will be shattered.
Now before explain what happen and my opinions, I do have a controversial opinion. I didn’t want to be another James Charles vs Tati Westbrook drama because that’s what it feels like to be honest. The people are similar but the drama however is different. Tati And Jessi are both Youtubers who not many people know unless because they aren’t well-known like James and Gabbie. They are both rarely in drama which makes people believe them because of this. When Tati made that video called “Bye Sister” and accused of all the things that James did without any reciepts we took her word for it. James And Gabbie are well known Youtubers and gone through a lot of scandals and controversy. So before I watched Jessi’s video that were my mind went to however after finished watching the video and reading the DMs that will be mentioned as well as the statement, I’ve come to realise that James and Gabbie are shown to be different when it comes to defending themselves and trying to save their careers.
Jessi made a video called “Gabbie Hanna needs to be stopped” and in the video it has a lot of exposure on who Gabbie truly is as a person when the camera isn’t on. In the video, Jessi mentions Trisha’s video and one thing that Trisha says how scared she of Gabbie Hanna which gave Jessi anxiety and what Gabbie did yesterday prior to when the video was posted that made her crossed the line. Jessi explains a former fan of Gabbie posted a tweet stating how Gabbie chose Curtis Lepore over Jessi and publicly defended him. If many of you don’t know, in 2014 Curtis Lepore went to the police station to confessed that he raped Jessi while she was unconscious. Gabbie decided to DM Deanna and asked why do people believe that she defended him. Deanna let Gabbie tell her side of the story whether or not if she was ever friends with Curtis. When Gabbie tells her story. She rarely mentions Curtis but instead brings up her friendship to what Deanna was saying. When reading the messages between Gabbie and Deanna, Gabbie seems to be avoiding any questions involving around her alleged friendship with Curtis and instead sneers about Jessi and their friendship they once have. Gabbie also explains how she got an unknown caller which turned out to be Curtis who rang and apologise to her if he was ever mean to her in the past. Jessi explains that part was true but the conversation happened face to face while she was hanging out with Curtis’ friends not through phone because that’s what Gabbie told her. During this part of the video, Jessi seems to be hurt and betrayed. Jessi told Gabbie how messed up it was for Gabbie to hang out with him and his friends. Gabbie defended herself by saying she was only hanging out with his friends and he happened to be there and according to Jessi, Gabbie said to her, “Jessi, his friends didn’t rape you”. It hard to know whether or not this part is true, this wasn’t through text messages but actually through a face to face conversation. Gabbie however said she doesn’t remember saying that. It’s normal for us to not remember things that we have said in the past because apparently the average person speaks somewhere in between 125 to 150 per minute, but interesting that one person can remember while the other person who said it can’t. In that context itself, Gabbie is implying that just because one person caused you trauma doesn’t mean you should punish everyone else around him. However it’s not case for Jessi and people who are victims of rape. They chose to still remain friends with Curtis after what he had confessed and done meaning they are just as equally bad as Curtis. So seeing someone that considered to be friend one time decided to hangout with his friends, Jessi felt hurt by Gabbie for actually doing something that. Although Jessi never bought this up, but another youtuber by the name of ReadytoGlare did however. n the DMs, Gabbie brings up that she lost a lot of friends due to her siding with Jessi during the whole “rape drama”. This rubbed people the wrong way says a lot about Gabbie Hanna. Using the term “rape drama” shows that Gabbie thinks that what happened to Jessi isn’t that big of deal and she only side with her not because she was a good friend but saw Jessi as an experiment she needed to fix. Because Gabbie lost her friends, Gabbie is probably regretting ever siding with Jessi and wonder what could’ve been if she sided with Curtis Lepore instead. Remind you that Gabbie said that she became friends with Jessi after the allegation became public.
During the video, Jessi explains that Gabbie would always paint Jessi as a crazy peris a video that made two years where she mentioned that this person (Jessi) who she’ll be talking about as being a crazy person and somewhat psychotic who is emotionally unstable that Gabbie was destine to fix. However it gets worse when Gabbie told Deanna that Jessi said that she took meds to explain her behaviour and also why she keeps lying. At this moment, Gabbie crossed the line. When it come mental health, it’s none of our business what people like Jessi in how they treat their mental illness unless they are opened to talk about it. Gabbie is also seen as a hypocrite and even belittles by saying that because Jessi takes meds, we shouldn’t take her word whenever Jessi speaks out. The reason why Gabbie looks like hypocrite is because she’s mental health advocate but now it only seems that she’s mental advocate when it benefits her. Gabbie explains in a story on how nice she is despite the fact that she made a tweet talking about how you don’t have proof to people that you’re honest, nice or generous. Gabbie is doing something similar to what Jake Paul after the amounts of hate he was receiving in 2017 by making a music video and list the good things he’s done. Because Gabbie didn’t practice what she preach, it’s hard for people to see as this nice person considered what she did to Deanna and Jessi. Deanna made a statement saying that Gabbie was doing what her abusive boyfriend did by manipulating her and also gaslighting her as well. Gabbie gaslights Deanna by trying to make her feel bad for making the tweet about her defending Curtis without any proof or evidence. Although there isn’t evidence that Gabbie publicly defending Curtis, it’s possible that she secretly supported him in private. The only people who can give us this information are curtis’ friends. I also found out that Curtis was arrested on September 18 2013 and the tweets that Gabbie mentions Curtis send in which people have been using as evidence were both posted on September 24th 2013 and December 4th 2013.
Earlier I brought up on why people skeptical when storytimers like Tana or even Gabbie tell a story about what happened to them because there might a big gap in their story like when they are in a controversy and they don’t hold themselves accountable or even tell the full story and they think people are going to accept it. Their fans might but everyone else would not. Like I said before about the James Charles Situation and how he is different to Gabbie when it comes to saving his career is because James Charles used the reverse and debunked all the evidence and clear up the misunderstanding while Gabbie doesn’t do any of that and did something similar like what Jake Paul did.

I watched "James Charles & Austin Jones (My Dumb Opinions)" so you don't have to...
It starts off with him trying and failing to do an intro like those "cute, quirky" vloggers
Starts to open a piano box to put together throughout this video
Says he wants to talk about "James... Franco? James, guru, beauty. Jessi, "maybe his name is Jonson, it's Jonson damn it" " (as if he hasn't been stalking James on Twitter for the past year, also that last part is supposed to be a reference to something I guess)
"How can I make a video on someone and not even know their name? This is what I'm good at, this is what I do"
Brings up how Austin Jones could face up to 10 years in prison for his interactions with young people
Apparently Austin was asking young people for inappropriate photos
Jumps back to him trying to figure out James Charles's name
"James Charles got in trouble because he was apparently plotting to turn straight men gay" forces awkward laugh
Says that James thinks he's no one is off limits because he is a celebrity
Greg says you can't make someone into someone no matter what their sexuality is because there is more to attraction than that because otherwise everyone would be with everyone
There is this "Trumpian theory" out there that if you are a celebrity you can do whatever you want to people (Greg I know you don't like Trump, but people in power have been doing that far longer than Trump has even been alive)
You can only get really weak people to do what you want and not people who actually "give a shit" because they are normal
"So James is all "s my d", it's dick, he's talking about dick"
You shouldn't call James a predator because that downplays what criminals are if you call people who aren't predators predators (James is a predator Greg, he is a sexual predator)
"So apparently James and his millions of dollars and his 16 million subs is now cancelled" (Greg sounded so bitter when saying 16 mill lol)
People don't know what cancelled is anymore because James can still upload a video so he still has a job
James will still be more wealthy than all of our dads combined, James could hire someone to beat up our dads
So if anyone is cancelled it's all of our family trees
We are all feeling cocky and proud of ourselves for ruining his life because some 37 year old chick made a video saying mean things about him and acting like she is humble while talking down, being condescending, exposing, ect.
"The lady literally did this, "Oh James Charles was going to expose people, he was plotting against them, he thinks he's so much better than other people, and that's why I coming to you guys and letting you know. Exposing him, and I'm better than him and I'm not a hypocrite, because...."
Says Tati doesn't actually care, that she's immature for calling her video "Bye Sister" and that's not what an adult does
Says Tati is making fun of James by making that the title, Tati never cared about James
He goes back to trying to guess what James's name is
James made a video crying in response and it was sad because James is young and has so many lessons to still learn, and this "gay ol 37 year old is picking on him"
We all do stupid stuff, and Tati is only "exposing" James to shame and make money off of him
Tati is trying to shame James for trying to expose other people
Society is hypocritical for standing behind her
We can't see how she will turn on us the moment we do something she thinks is out of line
And what her idea of what is out of line is defending straight men, who are like the least victims in the whole world (That is how he says that, it's weird. Also I guess straight men not being victims is the reason why DA and SA crimes against straight men are spiking as more men feel comfortable reporting their abuse, sure Greg)
"If I were straight and James tried to hit on me, and wanted me to s his d I wouldn't. I'm not into James Charles, I don't care about him. I don't care that he's a celebrity or any of this, when does personal accountability come into play?"
"Is everyone around a celebrity a victim now because that seems childish."
His opinion is we got this "old lady" who is seeing this kid that she helped out getting more popular than her, and that she promotes his stuff but he won't exclusively promote her stuff and she's mad (James has to my knowledge never promoted Tati's products, and he even told her he didn't want to be known for that on his channel)
Tati is mad that James promoted another company and decided to not he her "slave and bitch boy" anymore
She was so mad about this she went and made a hate video on him so she can totally ruin his life because he didn't do what she wanted
She helped him make it and now he isn't obeying her everyone word, so this 37 year old "hag" is going to go after James and make 10s of thousands of dollars in the process
That's just a theory based off his limited info though
As someone who has had to defend himself from monatized videos he can tell us the incentive to defend himself is comparable to how much money he could make defending himself, and if he can say this imagine how many others can
Says again how he isn't sure that James's name is James, then goes to build his piano
