Could they sleep on a pile with each other? - Yes (especially on particularly cold nights in the warehouse. Kai and Zane cancel each other out and Cole and Nya are somehow always the perfect temp to snuggle with)

How touchy is everyone? -

Kai is a super-hugger, but otherwise physical contact is a last resort move for him when it comes to comfort. His go-to is words over touch (but again, sometimes a good hug says all it needs to)

Jay’s actually not that touchy in general, just with people he’s particularly fond or protective of. Thus, Nya. And Kai

Cole ofc is probably the touchiest, to the point he gives off the wrong signals to people sometimes. But his love language is just physical touch and he likes the proof of being able to hold someone okay!!

Zane also isn’t very touchy, but given how everyone else is he tries to be (especially in the cases of Cole, Kai, and Lloyd). And, he grows to rely on the physical comforts as well (…and Zane gets a little sad when Cole lessens his shoulder-leaning and comfort seeking once he starts dating Jesse)

Nya doesn’t mind physical touch, but has her limits and moments when she really doesn’t want it, too. It’s something that eventually has to be discussed between her and Jay (as ofc she is one of the few people Jay wants that sort of comfort from)

Lloyd pretends he isn’t touchy but he’s always the first to make contact/accept a hug the second the opportunity is presented—

Pixal is even less desiring of touch than Zane initially is, but she also comes around on it (and she too is also swayed by Lloyd’s penchant for hugs)

Skylor, growing up the way she did, is actually touch-starved; similar to how Cole currently is with Zane, she’s always seeking out Kai for some sort of physical contact, however minor (and Kai’s not gonna complain)

And Jesse’s already trying to hold Cole’s hand at every opportunity; having full access to his hugs and everything/anything else is probably going to send him into overload lol

What messes me up even more about it is their relationship in canon.

This will be the first, and last time. This will be the only universe, where they mean everything to each other, where they are each other's worlds.

Alright, so as per anon's request, let's review everything wrong with the statements made by the person they claim to have messaged on Discord.

First off: "Collector controls who King is allowed to be around, and for how long."

Literally contradicted entirely by canon. Collector does not give a single flying fuck that he's talking to Eda and Lilith here presumably behind his back and in fact only checks when prompted to do so, if anything it's implied King doesn't know he knows but he won't say anything for King's comfort, only caring when it sounds like he may be in danger. There's also a "citation needed" here for the how long bit too, literally at no point in time is it ever stated he's keeping track of how long he spends away from their room. Next.

"Collector is the one who decides what kinds of games they 'play' (...)"

"We've been playing pretend forever, King. It is fun, but, what if we switch it up?"

Again, literally contradicted directly by canon. If anything it's implied it's King who has full control of what they play and Collector is trying to gently suggest something else before getting shut down.

It is correct Collector lashes out at King for telling him to play nicer. I'm not arguing with that. However I will direct you to this analysis of mine that showcases there's more to this than meets the eye, namely Collector's inability to question the Owl House game and expect this to be just how the game is played, not understanding why King is now telling him to stop. This is further backed by the rough and clean storyboards for the same episode and around the same scenes seen here.

Next.

"Collector makes King feel guilty for not being completely devoted to Collector-"

Citation needed. This is not something that is ever shown in canon, I can only guess this is this person's projection and trying to make sense of King's very real care for Collector. Next.

"and setting boundaries with him, and tries to manipulate him into giving up said boundaries (King definitely made it sound like they had the conversation about Francois multiple times before)."

Blatant misreading of canon at best and at worst straight up another contradiction. The scene here depicts a compromise, and I would advise you now to remember these are fictional characters being used for a narrative, and ask yourself first what the writers intended.

"You won't give this to me? That's okay, but can we meet halfway at least?" is basically the key idea here I imagine the writers intended. Reminder every time Collector asks for François it's posed as a question ("can I"), not a straight up demand which is more common for abuse tactics ("let me", "give me", "you need to", as just some examples of more abusive wording).

"And King never looks happy or like he's enjoying himself around the Collector."

Straight up contradicted by canon. Again. (Ok I know technically the first one is a glare but the intention of adding is that they're clearly acting together.)

For the sake of not being nitpicked at, I won't add also the rough and clean storyboards, but those also reveal that King was very often depicted being happy around Collector and this was likely toned down in the final version to keep suspense over their relationship. I don't think King would blush at some point at him if he hated him.

Guruuuuuuuuu it's meeeeeee 🍸 Tomorrow is the weekend and my brother is coming to town to visit and he wants me to entertain him but I'm exhausted so wish me luck! And I've been meaning to stop in and say hi but I've been so busy since I was promoted at my firm. Just everything has been a big whirlwind. But I love it.

Update ~ My ex (the one who I kept sleeping with after he broke up with me) is seeing someone else now! It's so funny too because the last time he tried to hook up with me apparently he was dating her and I almost gave him and invited him over too. I'm so glad I was too tired because when I found out he'd been seeing this chick (who I know by the way but that's a different story) I was like doing the timeline in my head and yeah... it's very possible I slept with him while they were dating but as far as I know they're not exclusive but for me that's an ick. I'm not casual like that. So I had to go get STD tested and that's when I decided to block him completely. I am a well educated, grown adult who is on her way to some very successful career and saving up to buy a house (on track for end of year) and I'm fucking around with some loser asshole still? So yeah... that's all in the past and I know last time I said it was over with us but this time it's for real 😅

Also I just read the ex's dad Harry last night and I'm absolutely hooked already. I don't make it on tumblr often anymore unless I need to shut my brain off after a grueling day at work but for this one? Honey let me tell you how well written and absolutely gripping it is and it's only part 1. No one does that tension like you and this one is no different. So I'm just here to tell you that I will be reading this series and opening up Tumblr every week for this one because it's so good already. Not one paragraph was boring or out of place. That's such a pet peeve of mine when I'm really into a good story and there's a chunk that absolutely does nothing to move the plot forward or it's just for funsies but that takes me right out of the experience of reading when a writer starts to add too much just for bulk.

And things are good here! The weather is warming up so midday is quite warm! School is good! I took an accelerated communications class and just finished that one (8 week condensed class) and now I'm just waiting on grades to be posted and still have another class I'm taking currently but I think spring break is soon? Also my dog is so fun. He's kind of showing his age these days but he gets 3 good walks every day so he's not just relegated to using the bathroom in our backyard. The walks help with his mind and his body and it puts him in a good mood (me too lol). He has pups he likes to play with up the street but that wears him out and he limps back home after he plays with them because his hips are sort of aging so he usually winds up resting for hours after 20 minutes of playtime. Anyway I could go on about Barry... he's the love of my life (don't tell my SO lol).

I would like to go on record and just say that I WAS FUCKING RIGHT ABOUT CRULLER. I hate him. But I love him. Villains like this are the best because they're just so hate-able. They've always been there!
