"Armstrong." Esther looked up and found a gruff-looking Lieutenant Nixon pouring coffee into his own mug, coughing irritatingly and then looking up at her, "Run-in with Sobel?"

"I would ask you how you got involved yourself," Speirs said, "but I'm afraid some of the articles spoiled that." Esther couldn't help letting out a slight laugh and shrugged her shoulders.

Sleepover saturday: headcanons about how mattjack and darby/jack would be at the bar/club?

ooooh this is a thinker!

for mattjack:

- you would think matt gets the girly drinks and jack gets the hard liquor. that is what they order, but it’s actually for each other

- matt WILL flirt to get a free drink if he’s already drunk enough. this usually ends w jack pulling him out of the bar to deal with him bc he isn’t gonna let someone else snatch up matt

- at a club, matt stays as close to jack as possible at all times. losing him in that crowd would make him panic bad

- matt’s always the one to suggest the places they go to, and jack’s always the one pulling him out of the places they go to

for skategoat:

- darby doesn’t drink. sometimes he’ll get virgin drinks and make bets/challenges w other very drunk patrons. jack used to scold him but after seeing the money darby gets now he’s like “go get ��em, babe”

- they both absolutely fuck it up at a club. in every way possible. they are a different breed when they have adrenaline thru their veins and music pumping in their brain

- they fight over who pays for drinks in the end, and end up shoving money into each others pockets when the other isn’t looking

- they have gotten banned from at least one bar/club each due to how easy it is for them to get into fights w other ppl when they are fucked with

20. What story are you the proudest of? Why?

OH GOSH THIS IS HARD... that's like picking a favorite child oh jeez...

it kinda feels like a copout to pick T&G since it's not finished yet, but i AM pretty proud of that one... but i guess if i had to pick then i think the ones at the top would have to be Astronomy Lesson and Sidestory Beryl's beta version. Astronomy Lesson was something that I wanted to write for as many senses as I could. I wanted readers to be able to picture themselves on the rooftop, feeling the texture of the tiles under their fingertips as they looked up at the sky... Sidestory Beryl is something similar, but I was very happy with how I wrote the dialogue during it. I wanted to write something with a foggy sort of feeling, since Beryl was just barely waking up after two years of hypnosis... I really hope those feelings came across in my writing.

25. What’s your favourite genre to write? Is it also your favourite genre to read?

ough... i think character introspection, if that counts as a type of genre. I like to go into what a character is thinking and feeling at the moment, so that is the reason i like to write from the 3rd perspective to go into their thoughts about it.

as for genre to read.... i think anything that discusses postcanon of games that i like, or more domestic works. i have a very very soft spot for slice of life as well. i think most people consider those a little more boring than other genres, but since the things i like tend to be very high energy, i like to think about what the characters would do in their off time.
