This morning I was in the car as a co-driver thinking about one of my favourite anime (and manga) scenes ever: the one in which Kou and Futaba (Ao Haru Ride) talk about the topic they have to write during the leadership camp.
In that scene Futaba is nervous, anxious and frustrated because she doesn't have any idea, unlike Kou who was able to improvise a discourse when it was their turn. So Futaba tells Kou how jealous she is of him because he is intelligent, has ideas and doesn't mind the consequences of his actions.
And then he tells her that indeed he is jealous of her, of the way she worries about everything and all the effort she puts in every little thing she does, because that means that for her everything is important, while for him, nothing is important enough to be worry about, there is no reasons for him to put an effort.
And I think that's the reason I love Kou so much (I also love Futaba), because at the end of the day I'm not that different from her: everything is so important for me that I get anxious every time I fail.
