why did they do him so fucking dirty in Trespasser anyway lol 😭 I'm half convinced he was originally meant to be an entirely different character and then last minute they were like, 'hey let's make him Teagan instead' but didn't change anything about his design. But it IS really funny when your Inquisitor rides up to the exalted council and looks up at him and he's just mean mugging the FUCK out of you

i want Ferelden and Chasind to be taller

like Avvar can stay the biggest at like 8, 9 feet tall but they're all three descended from the same alamarri people. if antiva and orlais get to have indoor plumbing, ferelden should get to be just fhucking huge. i want "short" in the ferelden valley to mean six foot even. i want to walk up to arl teagan in trespasser and see the divine and cyril de what's-his-face are just barely up to his chin. i want zevran to reach ferelden for the first time, see the dock workers are literally twice his size, and start to sweat having to fight anyone here. i want a mod that makes only the ferelden characters 5 inches taller than they were. i want carver hawke to be 7'3"

Thank you for the ask, my friend! 🥰 So this is part of my overarching Teagan/Ysmeria Surana story and may have been partialy inspired by my fellow Teaganmancer, @fantasy-art-room. It was so much fun writing and arting alongside someone else in the same NPC romance hell and inspiring and cheering each other on. Would definitely recommend. ☺️

Anyway, Teagan has written a letter to his terror twin, Cador, discussing his recent tournament victory, the state of things and his newly found love. I think I am actually pretty close to finishing this one, TBH, and since it's not terribly long I'll share what I have below the cut. If/when I get back to it, it may turn into a series of letters back and forth between them.

My dearest cousin Cador, It is my sincere hope that this letter finds you well and that the troubles that Ferelden now faces have not been so far reaching as the Marches. I believe congratulations are in order for your recent success in the local tourneys. It is good to know at least one of us is making our childhood dreams a reality! I do wish I could have been there to see you best that pompous Orlesian Chevalier! I can just imagine the look on his face after he was knocked from his pedestal by a "backwater" Marcher. It must have been spectacular! Speaking of the tourneys, I have renewed reason to train and join you for the next season. You recall I told you of the Grey Wardens who arrived during Redcliffe's most dire hour and pulled the village, and Eamon, back from the precipice? They are of course working tirelessly to stop this Darkspawn plague from consuming all of Ferelden, but did I tell you of the one who leads? She is incredible, Cador. Beautiful beyond belief and brave. So brave, giving and kind. And she is supportive of my desire to compete. She is unlike any woman I have ever met. I am certain she is the one, Cador. Can you believe it? After all of our time chasing skirts and the family's matchmaking efforts, I find the one who completes me amidst the chaos of civil war and Blight. Truthfully, Cador, I can hardly believe any of this is really happening. It's as if I'm living in a fever dream. If you were here I might ask you to pinch me to be sure that I'm awake. But it is real. We have been courting for about five months now, and I can not imagine a life without her. When all of this political turmoil and darkspawn threat are vanquished, we will make the trip to Ansburg so that you can meet her. The Maker knows it will be a much needed reprieve.

the sensible part of me thinks it was a good storytelling choice to have the entirety of southern thedas fall to the blight during veilguard because it raised the stakes whilst also explaining why all the people who save the world as a day job can't be there to help you

the part of me that has spent hundreds of hours of my life across multiple games trying to keep redcliffe village standing and in one piece wants to pull teagan guerrin's spine out his ass like a ripcord
