friends i met in the forest today:

forest wolf spider (baby ❤️ there's usually a lot of them scurrying around)

stag beetle posing in the middle of the trail (very stylish!)

spring dor beetle (missing a leg and also on his back waving his remaining five legs in the air pitifully until i helped him)

three strangely friendly blackbirds who were only scared of me a little (all girls)

bunny (very far away and immediately ran away)

this is a fandom vent post bc this is my blog and i'm allowed to vent here

i keep retyping and backspacing bc the words i want to use keep leaving my brain BUT i'm this close to blacklisting stobin as a whole. i'm tired of people writing their relationships as if they're competitions bc they're not. relationships in general (romantic or platonic) are not and should not be competitions.

i'm sorry but the way that some of yall have fixated on robin completely disregarding steve's relationship/feelings for eddie and treating steddie like it's a downgrade from her relationship with him gives me the ick x10000000.

jesus christ, if i had a friend that took it upon themselves to tell my partner that they have a "place" and that their romantic relationship with me isn't as important as our platonic one, we wouldn't be friends anymore.

if someone flipped the script and made a post about steve saying the same shit to vickie (or any girl robin is interested in), yall would publicly flay op alive, so why does robin get a free pass?

it's true to steve's character that he'd at least try to treat robin's relationships with respect but yall can't even let robin say a single nice thing about eddie.

like, it's genuinely made me wonder if half of you even like steddie as much as you say you do.

all this said, i will happily stay in my little bubble where robin and eddie are the chaos twins and platonic soulmates, and where robin will fight anyone tooth and nail for saying mean things about steve and eddie's relationship.

Ngl... I once started reading both NATOPS for fun to procrastinate on schoolwork. I didn't finish them, but DAMN was I very much amused on how similar jets can be to cars.... I should also mention that I am a student for automotive sooo

They are definitely similar, not that I really understand cars (but I do understand buses, so I suppose that's similar enough; I used to drive school buses so I had to get a CDL but thank god I didn't have to do maintenance, just know enough to tell the maintenance guy what the issue was because let me tell you buses are a shit show but I digress) (I did get in a fight with the maintenance guy about my fuel injectors once and he ignored me because "you're a girl what do you know" and then my engine failed that was fun but again I digress).

It's amazing how many things can go wrong. I'm rereading the error messages and what they mean and the correct sequence of what to do next and it's just WARNING DO THIS TO NOT DIE over and over again, followed by EJECT ONLY IF NECESSARY BECAUSE YOU COULD ALSO DIE OR PERMANENTLY MAIM YOURSELF just not in those exact words and I just-

I wish AI image creators (and pro-AI image people in general) understood was that there is, in fact, a fundamental difference between artists referencing each others work and a computer (re)generating an image

And that’s respecting the time and dedication that went into creating the piece being referenced to begin with

If an artist uses someone else’s work as inspiration for their own, they have to recreate it from scratch. You can use the composition of a piece, but you still have to draw the whole thing all over again. You can color pick a palette but the shading you have to do on your own. You can study the way someone draws immaculate, fine details, but you still draw every single line with your own hand. And doing all that work makes the person look at what the original artist had done, understand how they made their art, what it took to make it, and learn to respect their effort and dedication even more.

Hell, even if someone traces over another person’s work, without consent and refuses to admit to it (which generally speaking is a dick fucking move), even then the tracer will deep down know the limit of their skills and see what the original artist can do but they can’t (yet).

And these are all things that neither a computer or the person feeding a prompt into the computer will ever do.

AI image creators will never put in the same work and effort to “create” something, and thus they will never understand what it takes for an artist to draw or paint something from scratch.

You told a machine to make a dish, the machine makes a dish based on approximations of what goes into it based on what chefs put into their dishes, and you claim to be the chef that cooked it.

AI images and their creators are inherently disrespectful.
