My favorite time to hike is during or right after a summer rain. When the forest is wet it creates contrasts and deepens colors of most things. Stormy, cloudy days are also the best days to photograph as sun can sometimes cause a glare. This lace like fungus was bright white and growing along the bottom of a dark wet log.
