• I feel like he's a big ol softie when it comes to Anne, and it's hard for him to say no to her.

• He'd try to act tough when playing horror games but he would scream like a girl istg-

• I like to think he has a bad stutter when he's trying to be honest or talk about his feelings or he just becomes completely incoherent.

• He likes making fun of how unrealistic and dumb horror movies are so Tiff has to shut him up whenever a horror movie is picked for family movie night.

• Speaking of movies he will NEVER admit it but he loves watching corny romance movies with Tiff because he knows how much she loves them and make her smile, but again he'll never admit it and will complain whenever Tiffany asks him to watch one.

• She tries her best to understand anime for Glen but she just doesn't get it, why do they make such weird noises and faces?? Why do some of the girls have to look like kids when they're supposed to be like 300 years old???

4. What detail in [The World Through a Scope] are you really proud of?

Whenever I finally post the last chapter that has been finished for literally six years, I realised like three years in that I've done something very neat with the first and last line on complete accident, and I'm very excited about it. They flow into each other so nicely and I did not plan it. Which actually surprises me, because I pay so, so much (probably way too much) mind to first and last lines. I always want them to be perfect - and I think I got close!

To get to a detail I can actually point to right now:

I don't know if that counts because it's two whole minor characters, but I'm just so pleased with how Draven and Mothma have turned out. I have so much fun writing them, and I like how they relate to Cassian so much. They're both so very similar to him in very different ways, they're actually kind of like two halves of his psychology? Draven is so self-aware in this deeply uncurious way - he's examined every sleeping dog and decided to let it lie, look forward repress it march on - and is so oddly gentle with Cassian (but still enabling him, let's face it). And Mothma is equally sharp but weaponises it, and matches Cassian's aggression tit for tat and actually manages to goad him into dealing with his shit. They're both these very well meaning, kind of toxic and endlessly well-meaning parental figures and I love them to pieces. These are the scenes I'll miss writing the most when this fic is over.

30. Have you ever written something that was out of your comfort zone? If so, what was it, and how did it affect your approach to writing fic thereafter?

Oh, for sure, and it was also TWTaS! I don't do long stringent plot, I'm a pantser! Do you know how hard it is to come up with a conspiracy as you're going along? There's a reason this plot is riddled with holes lol. Also, I never write action, that's so hard! And tame and unspecific as it is, TWTaS contains the only sex scene I've ever written, and I whined about it an embarrassing amount when I was working on it. I *hated* that scene when I first posted it, it was agonising. Looking back now, I think that chapter is the high point of the whole thing, and remains maybe the best thing I've ever written?

It's definitely made me braver to just try shit and see how it shakes out! Most of the stuff I dreaded doing turned out fine in the end - it also turned out very different from how I thought it would go, and it really showed me that the thing kind of comes to you. I'm a decently experienced writer at this point, and if I just take small stabs at it and let things happen, they tend to fall into place eventually, and I usually end up liking what I came up with a lot! (now to learn the same lesson for academia.... alas)

That and any attempt at comedic fic - I've only ever done that for Secret Santa exchanges, I think? But I really, really like the two (2) I did write, I think they actually came out funny!

Also, I did a lot of stylistic experimentation in my tiny three-part mafia AU Against Better Judgement (awful title), especially in "Rome's Still Burning", and it was very fun. I think giving yourself a very different and rigid style or theme to adhere to is a really useful writing exercise because you can't fall back on your usual patterns as much. In the same vein, I think when you write for only one fandom for too long, you get kind of set in your ways style-wise, so I like taking detours into other fandoms. I've found that my style will change up quite a bit that way. Sometimes, that works out really well for me (I'm so proud of my epistolary Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries fic and my The Book Thief crossover), sometimes it turns out kind of weird (my one The Americans fic I really like stylistically, but it's confusing to read - too much plot for the style that came out, I think). But it's always useful!

39. Is any aspect of your writing process inspired by other writers or people? If so, who?

Not really? I don't know that I *have* a process. I just put on music, open a word doc, stare at what I have, and then either add to it or not. It's very inefficient and I don't recommend it, but it's what I do.

Lucas

He would be very willing to indulge a partner's kinkiness, but he doesn't have any particular kinks himself. That said, Lucas is also definitely interested in shaking things up in the bedroom. He gets bored of the same old thing easily.

Barbie

Collars and bondage, both of which are the gateway drug for her wanting to be someone's spoiled little pet. I imagine she only really discovers this side of her sexuality with Nate, MAYBE Mason. Barbie is kind of a control freak in most of her daily life. She really struggles to let go, even when having control of everything stresses her out. Having structures and rules to couch the idea of letting someone else be in charge would take a huge weight off her shoulders.

None of these things are particularly needed for her to get off, she's happy to have sex however it's being offered (so long as that includes frequently). It's just the icing on top.

This one honestly stumped me. I have so many AUs floating around with these two (plus Kira) that it's hard for me to settle on any one favorite encounter. So I'll put down encounters they've had that they really, really liked.

Lucas

I imagine after a less-than-legal street race in a modified nitro-fueled smart car (you can all thank @crownleys for that imagery) he ends up fucking one of the guys he raced against. In the smart car. Lucas is 6'5" so take that as you will.

Barbie

I've mentioned before that I love the idea of Barbie not realizing she's bi until she's in her 30s. It makes Morgan/Barbie very fun for me, because Morgan is flirting up a storm and Barbie's SO confused about how she feels about it for a long time. Until Morgan straight up propositions her in Book 2.

Barbie's a little horndog, so even though she's pretty sure she doesn't like women that way, she'd agree because...well why not? Sex is sex and she needs to get off after the night she just had.

Then, of course, Morgan blows Barbie's back out and leaves her staring at the ceiling wondering why her ex-husband never managed to make her come that hard before. Fucked Barbie straight into a gay crisis.

What is your favourite fandom to write in? Why?

Well, this blog is almost exclusively Middle-earth. I do have ocs based on Scottish folk songs and history, but they more or less live in my head and aren't as actively present here. I love writing in the Middle-earth fandom because the stories have always been close to my heart, I love fantasy, and I love the ability to share in that love by writing with other fans here. I also like that this fandom has such well-thought out headcanons and worldbuilding.

In terms of other blogs I've had, the other big favorite of mine was Downton Abbey. I met one of my dearest friends through the Downton Abbey RPC, and all the stories we wrote, the worldbuilding we created, and the friendship we have is so very close to my heart! <3

Biggest Strength hmm. i'd say if anything, my patience? having worked in retail for so long, i've learned to be extremely patient and understanding in a lot of different contexts that i wouldn't have been able to be over a decade ago. i think that's been particularly helpful not just in my professional life but in my personal as well. beyond that, i think i can be pretty quick witted and funny occasionally? 🤷‍♂️

A random fact Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic and Knuckles for the sega genesis were originally planned to be a single video game. however, due to time constraints, and partly due to a brand deal with mcdonalds, they chose to push out the first half of the game as sonic 3 to meet deadlines, and release the second half of the game as Sonic and Knuckles later in the year, with the added bonus of being able to open the top of the cartridge and connect into Sonic 3 to form one single combined game.

this is genuinely the first random fact that came to my head.

What I love about myself i love that even though my formative years were spent being very pessimistic, isolated, spiteful, and kindof overall feeling like a broken person, i've grown into a much more optimistic, accepting, friendly person in spite of it. i'm always working on it, but i try to be mindful of how i come across, and aware of how my behaviors and actions can impact others.

I’m pretty boring when it comes to adding new muses these days, honestly. Right now, I don’t have any plans to introduce a new character. I’m really enjoying writing my OCs and breaking away from writing canon muses for the most part (nothing wrong with canons for those who enjoy it, I’ve just personally been finding them restrictive lately). The OCs I do have on here are the product of a lot of character/world building, most of which I’ve done behind the scenes in writing things with @batteredoptimist over the past few years. We do have over 100 characters between us that have popped up at some point in our verses which is absolutely wild to me. Right now, I don’t feel that much gravity with any of my other ‘secondary’ muses  — but who knows if that’ll change in the future? For now, my newest are Lucienne and Mariano.

I actually think that we should probably explore Fish and Westley all things considered. It really depends on the vibe of the thread. I love Francis with Fish particularly. There are a lot of your muses I haven’t had the chance to write with or learn much about yet but I honestly think we could make something work beautifully for just about any of them. Lucienne is the wild card because I don’t have her fully fleshed out yet. I know this is probably a non-answer but I’d love to have a reason to throw all of them at you at some point, honestly.

30.is there any “unconventional” relationship you play, or you would like to?

This one stumped me because I honestly can't think of any that I would like to play or have written for. I am pretty open to ships aside from the ones that are a big no. I don't want to state them here but if it makes me uncomfortable then it's huge no from me. But other then that as long as someone talks to me we could work on a ship only if I am comfortable writing it though.

31.do you have a favorite memory when it comes to rping a ship?

I know I gush about them a ton but a lot of ships I have with @diademreigned are important to me. We have so many that both of us have spent so much time pouring love into. Our first one was Sokai and Soriku. This is when both of us were mainly writing on twitter but started writing on here too. I still have the pirate thread for Sora and Kairi saved for when we both have motivation to continue that one. Currently the ships we are focusing on the most are Stella x G'raha, G'raha x Data and we did think about having au for Stella x Data but that we need talk more about.

Anyway, I can't pick just one memory with them because honestly we gush about our babies a lot. I just..I am so appreciative that Artemis takes the time to write any ships with me..Stella x G'raha are such a comfort ship for me now because of writing with them. I just adore when you can talk with writing partner about your ships. The amount of ideas we have for these ones are a lot, it's even with them that I started writing my Wol. It really helped me get a sense of the voice actor I would have for her too. Which if anyone is interested the actress I chose for my Warrior of Light is Jo Wyatt, who some might know as the voice actress for Female Hawke from Dragon Age series.

33.do you have a least favorite memory when it comes to rping a ship?

There is one memory I can think of right away, I won't be mentioning names but this was a time that really stressed me out. I had a few ships with my best friend. I enjoyed making edits and content for them. It was something that made me very happy yet some people thought I was trying rub in their faces or making it some competition. I am just going say right now that I am not competing with rping at all. I make content for things that bring me joy because honestly that is something that makes my day.

Anyway, long story short I was accused of this multiple times despite there being no truth behind what they were accusing me of. Now, I am a very patient person. Try and be there for people when I can but when someone many times goes out of their way to try and make me the bad guy that's when I stop being nice. I don't fight back, I just cut them out of my life. I will not put up with this kind of behavior again. I honestly don't know why I stayed as long as I did when I was treated badly. Overall, just don't accuse someone of competing with you simply because they also are shipping with same writer. Now if you are getting jealous because they are giving attention to that person too that's then the time you need take a step back and realize that others have the right to have a ship with that person too.

Some people there also just made me feel highly unwelcomed in that community. I would hear that they were vague posting about me and it's something I have had done towards me many times. Just..don't assume things about a person. Actually talk to them like an adult. I know most of us are here create stories.

oh, i think for now it'd still be lit+bbc series based sherlock holmes because i wrote him for a long time and had a chance to develop him through writing lots of different settings, dynamics, drabbles and whatnot, so i'm a lil sentimental about it but i moved on cause the series didn't sit well with me anymore and it made me overall uneasy. can't wait to get there development-wise with the current characters i write! 14. which roleplay community has been your favorite to write in?

3. a specific color that gives you the ick?

There is only one color that ever gives me an ick, and it's a very specific shade of yellow-green that looks putrid. And the reasoning behind it is I grew up in the heart of tornado country, and when there's about to be one, the sky turns the exact shade and it is very unnerving.

7. what animal do you look forward to seeing when you visit an aquarium?

I love aquariums, and my favorite to see in always and forever the octopuses. They're my favorite animal and bring me so much joy. Although also I really love cuttlefish, although those are a little rarer to see. Also, usually the shark tanks or moon jellyfish are in cool enclosures and I am easily impressed by them.

Cleaning my nails. I like to keep them long and pointy, so I also fixate on their care.

i don't see them as any more than a fling, max. i think they're too similar as people -- not similar in a way that works, but more so in that i think they'd be good friends.

gunn is definitely a macho protective-type, which is why his relationship with fred works so well. but because faith is not a soft damsel-in-distress type, because she enjoys being in control and "on top," i think that's why they wouldn't work long-term. i could maybe see it working out if either one of them wasn't as self-assured as they are

they should've had more scenes together. considering their similar rough upbringings, i could easily see them as former foster home besties, or having lived together with a group of ppl on the streets. they had a really good camaraderie for the two seconds they interacted

wes/lilah: i like them but i don't think it could've lasted

i enjoy them mainly for narrative purposes. both are unlikely to be each other's true love, so i see them primarily as working to grow each other's storyline. their relationship is compelling, but i don't care much for it offscreen. also why do i feel like we saw more of how the relationship affected wes than it did lilah...

i'd like it more if there was greater buildup of their tension. i know the whole point is to show how wes became a different person almost overnight, and how he's been going through drastic changes, looking for comfort in unlikely places. but maybe that's why i couldn't get super invested, because i always knew it was temporary

i really like the illicit nature of their relationship, the whole "sleeping with the enemy" dynamic. but of course the lines between the good guys and the bad guys have blurred, and they realize just how similar they are, and things become much more complicated when they realize they care about each other so much. wes having to kill lilah, and then lilah coming back to essentially haunt him in the s4 ending... it's tragic

willow/fred: i could be convinced, but i'm currently at nah

this is like faith/gunn, they're way too similar. fred is, in some ways, a carbon copy of willow, except less cool (i don't mean this in a bad way, i mean that willow essentially earns her stripes through experience, and becomes more confident, while fred remains a bit "quirky" (granted, we see her for a much shorter time than willow)). the scene in ats s4 where they meet and fred fangirls over willow made me think it was (btvs s7) willow meeting her btvs s1 self and seeing how much she's changed since.

they need to match squirrel-liness levels, kind of like how willow and tara were on the same wavelength when they first met. for example i could totally see potential for btvs s1 willow and ats s2-early s3 fred, or btvs s7 willow with ats s5 fred (um... pre-illyria of course)

i do think that out of everyone, fred would be a good fit for willow post-tara. both are super-smart, have overlapping academic interests, both slightly awkward yet endearing, and they want to stop being underestimated by everyone around them. also i really like the implication from their interaction that fred was openly flirting with willow, since she doesn't deny it lol

She doesn't have as much respect for authority as she used to. The GCPD is one thing; Khare respects the officers who come by for breakfast in the early hours of the morning but she doesn't trust any of them, not enough to come clean about her own problems. She respects the fact that they work a dangerous, difficult job but it's hard knowing if the friendly officer who loves bacon with his pancakes might be taking bribes on the side or worse, his loyalties lay elsewhere than to his duty. She may be new in Gotham but Khare listens to whispers amongst the crowd, holding onto rumours just in case they're true. When it comes to authority in general, Khare doesn't believe they can help her and deep down even fears what she experienced is not only condoned by the powers that be but is facilitated by them. She went missing after all. How can so many people vanish without trace every year with seemingly no effort being made to find them? How deep does this rabbit hole go and would she simply 'disappear' again if she talked to the police about any of this? She'd rather not find out and would rather pretend to be oblivious to it all, keeping authority firmly at arm's length.

Steadily. Khare's energy levels are low but it is consistant, like a dimly flickering bulb that continues burning much longer than anybody expects it to. Her heartrate is barely higher than that of a corpse, heart beating just a few ticks per minute and while she yawns and pauses for a moment to remember what she's doing or saying, she continues on, often staying awake for days at a time when others would have tired long ago. Only on rare occasions when startled or downright fearful for her life will Khare get a burst of energy, increased electrical activity in her muscles forcing her body to function beyond her natural limitations. During her escape from the experimental facility she was held at, she cleared a twenty foot jump over barbed wire fencing and sprinted off into the surrounding mountains, trudging through hundreds of miles of harsh terrain back to civilisation.

O1. Is your muse a romantic? Do they dream of love and marriage? 

Kaveh wants his marriage to be a big event. Opulent, with as many people as he can amass, with beautiful colors and decoration, not to mention it can’t happen anywhere he deems less than breathtaking.

If he’s made to describe it, he will compare it to hosting a ball, and his eyes will twinkle at it.

O8. Is your muse comfortable with, or proud of their body? Are they insecure?

Though he’s proud of his body, Kaveh will not wear anything overly revealing or uncouth. He is seldom seen shirtless, even at home, and his pride also lies in how he chooses to dress himself. Appearance matters, but he can be a bit sloppy about it at times (when he’s stressing himself over deadlines, for example).

O9. Is your muse attracted to any features in particular?

Other than the physical features mentioned previously, strength compels him greatly. Throw someone and he will be looking respectfully.
