The way F. Scott Fitzgerald writes about filmmaking makes me feral. Especially after reading nonfiction about the same process. Going from a very factual description of what watching rushes is like to "Dreams hung in fragments at the far end of the room, suffered analysis, passed - to be dreamed in crowds, or else discarded." is bonkers like ???????????? This book is going to haunt me for the rest of my life.

on a binge of all of Matt Bomer's old projects, and WHY DIDN'T THE LAST TYCOON GET A SECOND SEASON???? This show was SO GOOD, I was so invested in every single character, no matter how much I liked or disliked them 😭😭😭 and to end the last episode on a cliffhanger like that???

And it's not like I can go read the book to find out how it ends because THE BOOK WAS UNFINISHED AS WELL!!

Why do I do this to myself? I knew the show had been cancelled after one season, I knew it wasn't gonna end well... but the first episode just sucked me in so quickly there was no turning back !
