The end of the Sith
Tumblr media
"I will throw away everything I have, everything that I have grown to love and throw away my life to save this person" Anakin Skywalker - ROTJ(GEORGE LUCAS)
Tumblr media
Something that always gets my attention when I see ROTJ appart from Luke and Vader father - Son relationship is the way Vader choose to stop his master from hurting Luke.
Tumblr media
Palpatine was completely distracted while he tortured Luke, making Vader suffer seeing it, so it would have been possible for him to just use his sword to kill Palpatine or even the force to send him towards the reactor shaft, instead Vader choose to carry his master himself, letting his lighting hurt him to the point of being electrocuted, you can even notice the time in which Palpatine changes the strenght of his attack from merely hurting Vader, he after all was careful not to destroy Vader´s internal systems when he punished him, to actively try to kill his apprentice before he killed him and Vader just carried on and let him, he withstood his attack as long as was neccesary until he threw him into the reactor.
Tumblr media
Then Vader just stays there, looking down to where he had just sent his old master, his slaver, his old father figure, the person who rescued him from mustafar only to seal him in his armor, who has been with him for the last 20 years and you can just see he´s wondering if he should go with him as well, he just stays there, on the edege looking down until Luke brings his father back from that edge, literally and methaphorically and gives his hand a squeze to console him of the excruciating pain he must be feeling in that moment. Almost as if Luke sensed his father meant to go himself down the reactor shaft.
Tumblr media
Then I remember Lucas commentary, Vader for good or ill, LOVED the Emperor, despite everything but I think Vader remembered, in this moment, not only Padme´s smile or his mother kidness which he saw in Luke, he remembered the chosen one prophecy as well, the promise he had represented to the Jedi and to the galaxy
"the coming of a powerfully Force-sensitive being who would restore balance to the Force by destroying the Sith"
Well, he was now a Sith as well, not just his master so for him it would be only fair to share his master´s fate while Luke´s love for him keep him over that edge and fully brought him back to the light in spirit.
Vader dying destroying his master wasn´t an accident, it was intentional, he complied with the chosen one prophecy by destroying the Sith, meaning his master and himself and freed the galaxy from the Sith Empire.
Tumblr media
This also broke Bane´s lineage, because Vader didn´t kill his master for power, for revenge or for hate, he did it out of love for his Son, while still loving Palpatine, he did it for love and justice, both values Anakin always held tightly close to himsef and this is what gave him the oportunity to become a force ghost, to become one, you have to leave everything behind, including yourself, Vader threw his life, his master, his love, everything he was the moment he decided to save his Son and restore justice.

Tumblr media
The war was taking its toll.
Day after day, planet after planet, all Anakin knew now was his place on the battlefield. And his role in leading the victory for the Jedi and the Republic, even though their dogma preached peace, not violence. Every skirmish brought a new kind of horror to his once uncomplicated life, whether it was watching Separatist droids and clone troopers alike, cut down as easily as marsh reeds, or the simple fact that his relationship with the Force was dwindling towards something impure. Something he couldn’t make sense of, and would surely raise more questions than answers if he were to confide in his Masters. It wasn’t that he contemplated reaching towards the Dark side, or thought of the kind of evil only the Sith could endure; it was more like an isolating numbness that spread from within, and before long, Anakin felt the cloud settle over his mind.
He was tired of seeing smoke — the kind that billowed in every direction, stinking of despair and lost hope on his front, despite the war turning to the Republic’s favour. It was the sound of unending blaster fire and the repetitive ignition of his lightsaber that haunted his nightmares, and with only the company of his clone legion, his Padawan Ahsoka and the occasional appearance from Obi-Wan, he felt himself starting to slip.
He was overwhelmed, and encumbered with burden.
Never before had he experienced such guilt, anger and suffering — towards his army, towards the civilians caught in the crossfire, and towards his relationship with you.
The secret life the two of you led, away from the Order, felt like something out of another galaxy, another lifetime. It was as if eons had passed since he’d last seen you, and yet the world was constantly evolving — not towards freedom, but into a more destructive version of its past. Even for a Jedi General (and, one could argue, because he was a Jedi General), Anakin had little comfort, and much less sway in which systems he visited and what he took part in. Seeing you was absolutely out of the question, but it wasn’t like he bothered to even ask, out of fear of inviting a lecture from Obi-Wan, or Maker-forbid, an audience with Master Yoda.
At least things like facilitating training for the Onderon rebels allowed him to feel more of himself, and to an extent, a sort of unity with the Council, but all of that was quickly replaced by the more sinister side of the Separatist Alliance, such as the trainwreck on Zygerria. Liberation didn’t exist there. Not until Anakin showed up.
It was these events that really compelled him to look inwards, to not just seek the Force’s guidance, but to use it in tandem with a coping mechanism that would get him through the war.
And so the vignettes began. Slowly, at first.
It started off as little glimpses of your life together, slices of euphoric nostalgia that weaved their way into Anakin’s being. He didn’t realise just how much he yearned for you; not simply the way your skin felt on his, but the pureness of your energy, the reminder that good truly did exist in this world. As much as these images were a solace to his sanity, they brought about a sense of malaise. Contrition, actually, if he sought the Force for the purpose of clarity. Even though it all existed in his head, allowing himself these indulgences felt like once again, he was breaking Code.
But could it really have been that bad, if it honed his focus? If it drew him back to the bigger picture, of the why? Reminding himself of who it was he fought for didn’t erase the atrocities, but it gave him that flicker of hope, knowing that the sum of his actions equalled a better world for you.
And some selfish, miniscule part of him figured that if he could lead the victory, he’d be pardoned when the Order inevitably found out about the life the two of you shared. It isn’t as if no-one already knew. He was sure Ahsoka was aware. Rex, too. He doubted when it came to Obi-Wan, but then again very little got past his Master.
While the memories of you lay fresh before his eyes, they seemed to sharpen at specific points throughout the day; often in the thick of battle, or when he woke up in the middle of the night, drenched in a cold sweat, nothing but thin shafts of moonlight illuminating his body. It’s like they were stitched perfectly amongst the real action, scattered at perfect intervals that jerked his body into manoeuvre.
The sweetest images had always featured the lake.
Armed with nothing more but his wits, his back pressed against the cold, wet stone in a cave on Vanqor, he reminisced about that first night with you by the lakeside. The sweet smell of wildflowers carried in the breeze, heightened by his affinity for the Force. He recalled the gentle lapping of the waves on the shore, and how the two moons cast their milky glow upon the shimmering surface of the water. And you — radiant, almost ethereal in the soft light, and the way your lips brushed against his neck, filling him with the kind of heat that flooded all at once. Not even the screech of the pursuing gundark could have interrupted this moment in time. He felt his breathing go ragged, because he remembered what happened next. He gritted his teeth, thinking about the way he moved inside you, and how you tangled your fingers in his hair, pressing chaste kisses to his mouth, his chest, whispering his name in sinful bliss. The gundark didn’t stand a chance. Not when Anakin’s motivation for getting out alive laid in sweet promise, embedded in these visions.
His name felt the most natural rolling off your tongue, nevermind that that was truly the last real thing he possessed, unmarred by time and the influence of the Jedi. In that moment, when you’d taken him over the edge with you, crying his name so loud he swore someone had heard, he knew he’d give it over to you if you’d asked.
He thought of the lake again when he was in Felucia, crouched low amongst the sillum. His lightsaber grew heavy in his hand, the ridges suddenly awkward in his palm, but the grip he’d started to lose on his lifeline gave rise to something he couldn’t ignore.
It was another temperate day and the sun had created the most brilliant reflections on the surface of the lake. With the grasses and trees swaying in the wind, Anakin closed his eyes, reaching out with the Force. He didn’t prod or poke, but rather he cast a wide net, a delicate caress, to connect with the life that teemed. It sang to him in a multi-layered harmony, acting as a prominent reminder that the Force flowed in all living things. And when his eyes fluttered open, he watched you carefully as you walked towards the water, your feet crunching on the smooth pebbles that made up the beach. You turned around to give him a dazzling smile, moving with deliberation to slip off your clothes. Your laughter echoed in the crisp air as you dived into the lake, disappearing under a swathe of emerald green, only to resurface in the middle with a large grin plastered to your face. He didn’t hesitate to jump in, to shed his clothing on the spot. A shudder ran down his spine at the thought of what happened shortly after.
Sometimes it was hard to return to the present, to remember that he’d sleep alone that night while you were only just waking up, systems away, most likely after another fitful slumber.  There were times where he thought these visions would serve no other purpose than to derail him, when the temptation of your touch shadowed his desire for victory. These moments guided him to channel the Force within, so as to remind himself of why he was doing this in the first place. Because it was more than just a coping mechanism. It was an anchor. A thrumming pulse point. A gentle acknowledgement of the life he wanted to come back to.
It’s then that he wondered when enough would be enough, when the war would come to a stalemate, as it so often did in their history. The tide was turning, and he knew it.
And there it was again, that kernel of hope, that ember of light that shone in the depths of his soul. Even reduced to a ghost in his memory, you were tangible, so tangible now. He wouldn’t let the Separatists win. He couldn’t, because there was too much at stake. And so if thinking of you, in these ways, helped him remember that, he wasn’t going to stop.
Not for anyone.

Cody-Centric Fic Recs
Name of the Game - esama
There's a new Dark Sider on the battlefield, one who has it out for Cody's General.
-----
Codywan; pre-slash, sith!Obi-Wan
Of Warnings (Ignored) - Trixree
“Listen to me, Kote. Are you listening? Because it is very fucking important that you listen to me right now,” 17 says. He would seize Kote by the chin and make him pay attention, if 17 was looking to get bit on top of all the other pain his body is gifting him with.
----
Codywan; Cody is a little shit; Alpha is longsuffering
Bonding Rituals - blackkat
Cody smirks, tilting his head. “Sounds like Fox has a date,” he says, and Rex is suddenly, vividly reminded of the fact that Cody and Fox are batchmates. Something must have gone wrong with the cloning process there, because that much asshole in one batch should be physically improbable. For a moment, he almost feels sorry for Fox.
Then he remembers that Fox yelled at Fives last time they ran into each other during an escort mission on the front, and decides that he actually doesn’t.
-----
Fox/Obi-Wan, Rex & Cody, Pranks and Practical jokes
sunshine and the shade of poetry - Petrichordiam
"Sorry sir, but I don't think we've met," Cody said, turning up the friendly customer service representative levels by two points.
To his delight, there wasn't really any visible change in his general's expression. "Have I neglected to leave an impression on you over the last several years?"
"I'm not sure you want an honest answer to that question, sir."
===== The war comes to an abrupt end, and everyone around him begins the long road to recovery and discovery. Cody, on the other hand, just needs to find a new job.
Unfortunately, he has no idea what to do next.
-----
Codywan; Rex & Cody, Coruscant Art Scene, Romance-writer Cody
*And because I am shameless, some of my own fics:
girlboss, gatekeep - deniigiq
Captain Gregor immediately leans his chin on his palm and smiles at Fives. Fives smiles back. He does not perceive this action to be the threat that it truly is.
“That man’s going to kill him,” Jesse says with his neck craned as far as it will go.
“Yep,” Kix agrees solemnly.
“You never know,” Echo says. “He’s squeezed better outcomes out of worse odds.”
(Fives decides that he's going to join the illustrious, mysterious, and oh-so exclusive Commanders Batch, and he's going to start by becoming besties with Commander Cody. Rex cannot stop this trainwreck but he can certainly watch it happen in slow motion - and occasionally he can offer a word or two of advice.)
-----
background Codywan; Fives & Cody; Rex & Cody, Cody & Command Batch; hijinks and shenanigans
they're neutral - deniigiq
Retired Commander Cody moves into a new neighborhood and becomes furious at the way a nearby roundabout is treated as a dumpsite. He installs a giant Jedi Crest fountain dead in the center of it and accidentally creates a safe place for the diasporic Jedi community to worship.
-----
light codywan; Cody & Wolffe, Cody & Rex, Home Improvement; Community Development
the time when stars align - qigiined
Lord Vader stands before Cody with a ruined body and asks him between puffing, hissing breaths, how he has found the latest therapy.
Cody explodes.
Never before did he realize how hopeful he was that he would soon die. Never before has he felt so helpless. The only natural process he could depend on has been snatched from his fingers. He is again a young man. His accelerated aging factor has been ‘cured.’
-----
Codywan; Force-Ghost Obi-Wan; De-aging; Treason

Ok, it's time. You may now infodump about The Rise of Skywalker
So I've thought a lot about Star Wars Episode 9
...not just as the actual film that got made, Rise of Skywalker, but everything that led to that film's flaws, and everything I would have done with the ninth episode of Star Wars and culmination of the Sequel Trilogy (but would not have been able to do due to the laundry list of executive meddling).
I am far from the first person to have tried to run a fix-fic on this trainwreck, and I'm far from the last. I'm pretty sure the last person will be Dave Filoni, engaged as he currently is in trying to build support beams beneath that film so that the whole franchise doesn't collapse when it decides to explore that era again. Good luck to him on that endeavor!
Before going in on my bulletpoint plotpoint list (because writing it up as a full fic is not worth anyone's time) for Shakibone's Episode 9, I'll clarify one thing: I enjoyed Episode 8 a lot and hold it up among my top three favourite Stwarses. That being said, it had some huge flaws that could be amended... I liked Canto Bight and Finn's character arc being about getting him from merely supporting the Resistance to protect his loved ones to fully wishing to fight the First Order, but I didn't like how that plot was executed by denying him any Jedi and Force business. With that in mind:
Finn is a jedi now (or at least training) and Rey has got a double ended lightsaber. Maybe she used the broken Khyber crystal from Luke's to make her double ender, or maybe who-gives-a-dang. It's cool and matches her previous staff-based fighting style.
Kylo Ren is our primary antagonist, and he hasn't rebuilt his stupid helmet. Assuming Disney mandates a redemption and a new helmet for merchendising, I have a redemption plan explained below).
Leia is either dead from the start, or offscreen throughout. No making a CGI Corpse Actress for Carrie Fisher, and no reusing previous footage to pretend she's there throughout. The film either opens with her dead (and the opening crawl starts with "THE GALAXY MOURNS" which I think is a solid opening line), or she's away on another mission and we see her through holograms and once at the end (via limited use of prior footage and a voice double).
With the New Republic HQ blown up and the First Order's flagship blown up, the Galaxy has descended into factionalism. The First Order is still strong enough to get these new factions to bend the knee, however.
Kylo is the Supreme Leader of the First Order, but he doesn't actually do his job. Hux is left with the actual day-to-day running his "Empire", which suits Hux just fine.
In case it needed to be said: Hux, the true believer frothing-at-the-mouth fascist is not a mole for the Resistance. That's dumb.
What's got Kylo distracted from ruling the First Order? He's busy hunting down ancient Jedi and Sith artifacts, and destroying them! Burn the past, remember?
Either that or he's hunting the Resistance.
Following Luke's big sacrifice, the Resistance actually has a decently equipped military as their allies have risen to join them.
By the end of the film there is no New New Republic, or New New Jedi Order. We gotta build something different for the franchise going forward, not just return to the Status Quo. The Galaxy is divided, albeit not destructively so. Focus on the idea that maybe the Jedi Order and the Republic, which gave rise to and were destroyed by Fascism twice, are not necessarily great ideas.
Palpatine cameo via pre-recorded message or Sith Holocron because Ian McDiarmid is a delight to see and I am no more resistant to clapping at the things I remember than anyone else.
On that note, Hayden Christensen shows up as a Force Ghost to give Kylo his (potential) redemption talking too. Speaking of:
So, assuming that Disney will mandate that Kylo be redeemed (because even in my fanfic I assume Star Wars will have executive meddling), here's my plan for Kylo's redemption:
Kylo does a big redemption moment of saving Rey and the Resistance or whatever. Maybe he had a heart-to-heart with Grandpa Anakin and saw the error of his ways.
Kylo, as his Empire burns: "Grandfather, I called to you for aid! Why did you never answer!?" Anakin: "I did answer. I was there every time you heard a voice telling you stop and go home." Kylo: "It's too late for that now. There is no saving me." Anakin: "Maybe… But it's not too late to stop, even if it won't earn you redemption."
What is important is that Kyle gets massively fucked-up-mangled in the process and is presumed dead. Then at the big Resistance party before the credits Rey turns around like she's gonna look at some ghosts smiling at her, but it cuts to a planet where some First Order Remnant trying to enslave some kids to be stormtroopers. Ben shows up in a suit like those Redeemed-Vader concept art that the scrapped Star Wars Battlefront 3 was gonna use and saves the kids. When they ask who he is he says: "Ben… from Nowhere". Ben turns around, sees Rey in the scene watching him, she smiles, he leaves. Ben gets to survive and redemption, but he's gotta spend the rest of his life dismantling the evil regime he built, and he'll get no fame or acknowledgement for it except from Rey.
Anyway, that's the sickness in my brain.
As a reward for having sat through my rambling, here's the cool Redeemed vader concept art:

ive thought about quite a few, but most of them i've f/o'd like the spymaster, norman, and edward. others just involve s/i's i dont talk too much about like my star wars sith si agon !
HOWEVER........ one i dont list or talk about very much is nilla and vegeta. i think their dynamic is a trainwreck but nilla's savior complex is too strong for her to ignore. she's also a bit of a sucker when it comes to saiyans so getting to meet another one that isnt goku? he-llo shortie..................
i feel like the success of their relationship would be 50/50 depending on nilla's ability to stand up for herself. she's a bit anxious and might let him scare her off but-- if she tells him to shut the hell up and get on with his life, it might work out.............

For the oc(s) of your choice ~ 💐 : What is their courting style? How would they woo someone? 👀 : Does your OC believe they are attractive? Do they use that to their advantage?
Gonna do both of these with the four I hyperfocus on. :'D
COURTING!
Saris tends to show he loves someone with little affectionate gestures. Making favorite foods as a surprise. Giving little gifts and trinkets he's likely spent hours or days thinking about. Sometimes uses flirts or affectionate words for trying to woo people. This went well with Arcann, but back when he was dating Cytharat he was awkward as hell and pretty Niar wanted to beat him with a stick for having to watch that. Overall, he just softens up heavily around people he loves and all the prickly edges just fade away.
Nesha... was a trainwreck at flirting at first. I mean, her first love was another Jedi and her second love was a Sith Lord. (Lana should be happy Luca taught her a thing or two, could have been WAAAY worse!) Nesha tends towards actions rather than words however. A soft touch, a chaste (or more than so) kiss. Closeness and tenderness tends to be her method of courting someone. HOWEVER being with Lana for five years searching for Saris while he was in carbonite definitely made her less awkward and a touch more forward, much to everyone's surprise!
...Sirul doesn't know how he got Theron. Theron doesn't know how he got Sirul. The one that started this mess (me) knows that Theron found Sirul oddly charming if not strangely innocent for a Sith, and Sirul thought Theron was pretty cool with an endearing awkwardness. Neither one is great at flirting and honestly? With them it works.
Sorrel's been pining after the same guy for years and only managed to actually get that relationship because he could finally feel again (Scourge. Its Scourge. NO ONE is surprised!). Sorrel's wooing method, however, is very particular because of that. He tends towards things that Scourge may have missed while incapable of feeling. Favorite foods, certain sounds, touches. He takes Scourge places where he can help him remember the little things, and if neither are up for it, its just a quiet night in, slowly getting used to and learning things.
ATTRACTIVENESS!
Saris KNOWS he's pretty and does try to use that sometimes. Problem is, while he's very pretty, his personality can leave things to be desired. Either coming off as prickly or vain depending on mood and person he's talking to. ...Given that 90% of his actions are made out of spite, this should surprise absolutely no one. :')
Nesha doesn't really think she's pretty or ugly, and definitely doesn't use looks in any way. Many do think she has a calm and elegant look to her, however, if not outright attractive. With that alone, better at accidentally using it than Saris who does on purpose.
(Uhhh... note for my Sith Pureblood headcanons here that lean into hints of racism possibly more than hints). Pureblood Sith in my writings tend to be more attracted to those that look more Sith-y than not qhen going purely on looks. Thus, Sirul is VERY attractive and desireable appearance-wise to others of his kind. Sirul himself, on the other hand, doesn't really think of himself as attractive or desirable given his fear of them due to his Light-alligned nature. He doesn't try to flaunt things at all, preferring to lay low. Talking to a certain SIS agent he met in a bar on Rishi who lightly flirted with him happened to be a sort of "leap of faith" moment.
Sorrel falls into the same category as Nesha, but others don't really seem to comment on his appearance much other than being Chiss. His wingwoman and wingman (Kira and Zalea), ABSOLUTELY will put forth their best efforts to sell him as such though, much to the poor Jedi's dismay.

how about "Lindwyrm" from the wip list :D
*wipes sweat from brow* oh this one. just the name alone already sets the tone for intensity. it's also my first time attempting something more solid in the nsfw/suggestive area though I'm no stranger to reading or thinking it. yeah, I know that sounds like a triple trainwreck from a rank amateur so if it ends up shooting into the trippy abstract area I like to go to, you know what happened.
Ahem. Anyways. This is the Jadorre smut. The big kahuna. The poison meant for Kuzco. It's got plot though, as I'm wont to do.
It's not non-con, so we get to shift away from the dub-con they had in their little marriage ritual. In fact, the premise is that Eight is the one that confronts Jadus first this time. He's interested in this darkness growing inside him. These new sensations. These new feelings, and the notion that he's changing; they both are across their bond, and he's not the type to leave a mystery unsolved especially with something as intimate as this. Keeper may be satisfied with dismissing it all as inane Sith nonsense and not asking those questions, but he is not, and he intends to wrest back some semblance of control or at least learn to cooperate with his new Sith master lest their work relationship die in the water from leaving each other in the dark. Literally. Jadus may benefit from whatever puppeteering this is, but that is not how Eight plays.
So he gets to stumble back after a time of noticing these inkling small changes happening after the inoculation ritual and actually go "what the hell was that," to Jadus' face. In a comedic light, it's like asking him to take responsibility. It's not a show of rebellion, and Jadus knows this, so he hears him out. After all, his prized agent has been sending a nigh amount of ridiculous emotions through their force bond all week, and not even a Sith Lord is immune to such things when they personally curated it.
But it's a dangerous game to confront the face of fear itself and parse why it wants you- and for what. But he's determined to understand Jadus and work with him without tripping all over one another. He's drawn to his power and how different he is. He wants in on whatever maze his mind offers, and he wants to cement their bond, not just have it be a one-way street with vaguely whispered Force riddles and the cold shoulder from his enigmatic boss. To be intertwined body and soul means it in every sense of the word, and while the Sith may find it easy to partake of him through the Force, Eight doesn't.
So he offers himself up, again.
There's nothing more intimate and understanding than the twining of flesh in bed for him as the language he speaks, and this time he wants to feel everything Jadus can give- physically and mentally. Let me in. Let me know you. Put your fangs on my bare throat, and maybe I'll understand the monster you are.
Hence the name, Lindwyrm. It refers to the tale of the transformed serpent prince who devoured all of his brides save for one who was clever enough to get him to shed all of his skins. I think you get the metaphor here.

ꕥ — WELCOME TO EXO COSMIA, ANAKIN SKYWALKER. 🌑
Tumblr media
ꕥ — OOC INFORMATION;
name / alias: sonica! age: 23! pronouns: she/her ooc contact: kagemiyas on twt other characters in xc: N/A
ꕥ — IC INFORMATION;
name: anakin skywalker age: 23 pronouns: he/him series: star wars ( including the clone wars animated show ) canon point: mid revenge of the sith, following anakin’s vision of the future and denial to rank of jedi master app triggers: child soldiers, child death, genocide, murder, enslavement, war
personality:
emboldened by his natural talents and ironically dubbed the hero with no fear, anakin skywalker is best known for his cocky, reckless, restless, willful, and cavalier behaviors. confident and bold, he has no need for subtlety, and often disobeyed orders in favor of his own ways of dealing with problems. his relentless determination was rivaled by none — except perhaps by that of his padawan!
despite the fratboy disease, anakin is equally selfless as he is selfish, evident in his willingness to lay down his life for others and the commitment he shows to things greater than himself, like the jedi, the republic, his friends, the 501st legion, and most importantly, his wife! however, it’s his big bleeding heart that leads him down the path towards the dark side; anakin has an incredible inability to let go of his past, heightened by his fear of losing loved ones, and his devotion can border on possessive, overprotective, and jealous tendencies. easy to anger, quick to trust, and able to justify all of his actions, his fall from grace is a trainwreck you can’t look away from.
something your muse struggles with: attachment your muse’s greatest strength: loyalty
history / background:
born on tatooine to shmi skywalker, anakin spends his early childhood building droids in a mechanic shop, podracing, and caring for his mother until he’s discovered as ‘the chosen one’ by jedi knight qui-gon jinn. ( slavery mention ) anakin goes on to win enough credits as the victor of a major podracing match to free himself to become a jedi under qui-gon’s wing; however, he’s extremely distressed to leave his mother enslaved, in spite of her wishes for anakin to seek a better life. at age 9, he vows to one day return as a jedi and free his mother.
upon qui-gon’s death at the hands of darth maul, obiwan kenobi fulfills his master’s wishes and takes on anakin as his apprentice. anakin’s exceptional skills grew into unwavering sense of confidence under obiwan, as did his attachment to his master — living a life apart from his mother and freshly losing qui-gon, anakin spent his first year as a padawan one step behind obiwan at all times, going as far as sleeping on the floor besides him to ensure his master would never leave.
ten years later, anakin and padme are reunited on coruscant after an assassination attempt was made on the monarch-turned-senator of naboo, prompting the jedi counccil to dispatch anakin and obiwan as her protectors for the time being. it’s on his very first solo mission of safeguarding padme on naboo where anakin begins to chafe against his duties as a jedi and who he is; though he and padme swiftly fall in love, padme refuses him in the name of their career paths. at the same time, anakin is troubled by visions of his mother suffering, which leads the two to back to tatooine where it’s revealed shmi has been abducted and likely dead. when anakin finally finds her in a tusken camp, she dies shortly after their reunion, and his grief and rage causes him to slaughter the entire village. he never reveals this to anyone.
the death of shmi skywalker sows the very first seeds of anakin’s decline — in vowing to become so powerful in the force to prevent his loved ones from dying, anakin begins his path towards the dark side.
the next step in his fall is definitely his secret marriage to padme amidala on naboo in between the events of attack of the clones and the clone wars!
during the early days of the clone wars, anakin serves as a jedi general in the grand army of the republic, commanding the clone troopers of the elite 501st Legion against the confederacy of independent systems. after receiving his knighthood, anakin is given his own padawan, ahsoka tano!!! he’s very resistant to the idea of an apprentice at first, but predictably, he forms another deep attachment to his padawan by the end of the clone wars.
there is so much more i can write about but his deteriorating faith in the jedi council, as well as himself as a jedi knight, leads anakin to retreat from all his allies and into the folds of chancellor palpatine (aka darth sidious). anakin becomes increasingly torn upon receiving orders in direct opposition to jedi code on top of suffering nightmares of losing his loved ones. we’re one step away from the edge baby!
powers / abilities:
force powers
telekinesis — to move or otherwise manipulate objects using only an application of the force.
mind tricks — to influence the thoughts and actions of another individual, often to the user's advantage. notably only works on weak or weakened minds. includes mind probing, which is the ability to search through weak minds.
force choke — read the tin. includes twisting, crushing, and snapping.
inherent abilities:
force sensitivity — force sensitive people can consciously sense the force (defined as an energy field created by all life that connected everything in the universe) in all organic lifeforms. it can be used to feel another being's feelings, the future, ripples in the Force caused by momentous or traumatic events, impending danger and the presence of the dark side.
most notably, the force augments anakin’s natural athleticism, allowing for speed, coordination, resistance to harm, and acrobatic maneuvers beyond natural limits, and minor acts of precognition, often taking form in the ability to determine what lay ahead in the immediate future.
items / weapons:
R2D2 — anakin’s sidekick droid that could take over the galaxy if it wanted
lightsaber — an elegant weapon for a more civilized age (laser sword)
replacement robotic arm
starting ability: telekinesis starting item: NOTHING
extra:
great aptitude for piloting, mechanics, and engineering
midi-chlorians are not real
do not approach me about the sequel trilogy for our collective sanity
discord: SKYGUY8016

Someone send help.
The voice actor for the male Sith Inquisitor has a cover of Hallelujah on Spotify.
YES THAT ONE.
Have I started playing the segment with The Trainwreck (tm) with them yet? No. No I have not.
This is fine.
Am I also familiar with Theron's VA's Spotify discography? Very, but maybe if I try really really hard, I can save those thoughts for later.

Star Wars: Darth Vader #6
There´s just something about the way Palpatine and Vader get so brutally honest with each other while at the same time keeping things to themselves that makes their interactions in the comics very compelling.
Here for example, Vader just discovered a group of enchanced human cyborgs who have been prepared for 20 years to replace him and yet his first thoguht is to see them as an "heresy" to the force because he´s still pretty much faithful to the force and he honestly sees them just like he saw the death star, abominations, technological terrors that go agaisnt the will of the force and the natural order in the galaxy.
Vader´s mentality is still that of a former Jedi who cares about the will of the force more than anything else, it makes sense because for 20 years he´s been isolated from everything except the force and while Palpatine, the Jedi and Vader himself may have forgotten, he´s still the chosen one whose main deal is about following and complying with the will of the force.
Palpatine answers him with anger, because how dare Vader complain to him when the tecnology used in those Cyborgs was the same he used to keep Vader alive? how dare he complain when he allowed him to live that way instead of letting him die? and makes the sugerence to Anakin that if he calls those cyborgs abominations then so is he, Vader doesnt answer but it´s implied that he pretty much sees himself as an abomination as well, why do you keep building abominations that go against the will of the force master? Then he´s also dissapointed at being replaced because yes, despite everything, he still sees Palpatine as a father figure while Palpatine sees it as completely natural because they are Sith and Vader may agree but that doesn´t mean he wants to go against his mastereven if it´s the way of the sith, he cares too much about him to do so, Vader doesn´t care much for this part of the way of the sith but I believe this started the drift between them, made bigger by Luke existence.
This may not seem that way but they are also arguing about the way of the sith being properly unnatural while Vader is of the mind that even as sith they don´t need to act in an unnatural way outside the force influence.
It´s just compelling the two main villains of the saga argue over their role and place in the universe and it tells much of the kind of characters they are, Vader sees himself as a force of order who follows the natural order of things and the will of the force while Palpatine sees himself as a force of change and power beyond the natural order but generally what he brings is chaos.

The UI changes were totally unnecessary, combat styles are cool in theory but the way abilities and loadouts are handled is a pain in the ass, gearing is even more of a joyless grind than 6.0′s RNGfest, and that’s not even getting into all of the many bugs. I haven’t done the flashpoint yet, but so far the best part of this expansion is the cinematic.

Oh my.... PLEASE TELL ME YOU ARE GOING TO POST THIS FIC SOON. I am DYING over here!!!!!! Sith Obi Wan is so realistic, and poor Ahsoka is gonna learn how to kick his ass one day, it'll be a toss up who will be prouder of her when she does that: me or Obi Wan
jakmlunhufj, sndjlfk;lkmjn as!?!?!??!?!?! I AM TRYING????????? (not nearly hard enough but you know? You literally got, like, half of what I actually have written down and I have no end goal in mind. Like, yeah, Obi-Wan wins the power struggle between him and Palps. Empire forms. ??????. Profit. I guess?
Does Anakin join them over Palps? How angsty does this get? Does the Order find out about Ahsoka being a double agent? How do our favorite Senators feature in this because you know they will with Senator Kenobi running around like a dramatic floofy imp? What about PAPA KOON who still “found” Ahsoka????????

Controversial opinion: there were a lot of similarities between Padme and Palpatine. Both of them groomed Anakin and undermined his relationship with Obi-wan, encouraged him to lie, kept confidential and made light of him committing mass murder, and made him distrust the jedi. Both were older and in positions of power and status, and he looked up to them both, while having been a slave and then sheltered space monk.
14 and 9 is a huge age gap and that didn't become less of an issue when she made the final call and said yes to the 19 year old hormonal hurricane who knew he would be making a huge mistake with her and had already accepted that she had rejected him.
Natalie Portman being the same age as Hayden Christensen throws most people off, but Padme was a 27 year old adult by Revenge of the Sith.
Good intentions don't take away from their relationship being incredibly problematic.
At least Palpatine was a Sith Lord.
Neither Luke or Leia 'had the goodness of their mother' in them, as appears to frequently come up when comparing them to Anakin in fanon, as Padme wasn't a saint and looked the other way on things that would horrify Luke and Leia.
/gestures emphatically at the Tusken massacre
send me controversial or unpopular opinions and I’ll tell you if I agree or disagree 🐸 ☕️
Disagree! I think the age they met at means a lot less than it could, because they straight up did not meet or interact again for ten years. It was meaningful to them both, especially to Anakin, but she didn't intentionally manipulate him into falling in love with her, and actually rebuffed him, initially, while he pursued her without any encouragement on her part. Definitely not grooming. That is... a misuse of the term that is so egregious I'd actually call it irresponsible. The term has a place and usage that is very important in describing and clarifying abuse in real life, and mistakenly applying it to things that don't qualify leads to the term getting watered down, muddied, and ultimately treated with far less gravity than it deserves.
Being young with an age difference means something with people he regularly and consistently saw (e.g. Obi-Wan, Aayla), but not with the girl he knew for one week and then didn't see for ten years.
Padme has more political power and age, but Anakin pursued her, and he can also kill people with his brain and committed mass murder before they even properly got together. I feel like the untold cosmic power evens out the scales here.
They were both selfish, usually well-intentioned, awful trainwrecks. That's what makes them compelling. Anakin was never Padme's victim, though, not in any version of events. You don't get that power dynamic unless you go full AU.
EDIT: Also, Padme repeatedly told Anakin things like "Obi-Wan is worried about you," which is the opposite of undermining their relationship. She wanted to relationship a secret because she didn't want Anakin to lose the job he loves, but she didn't undermine Anakin's relationship with Obi-Wan?
