Omega prompt game - part two.

This one turned out to be a little bit fluffy 🥰 I do have some different dynamics (Omega Charles/alpha Max) and some different pairings so I will try and get to some of those to mix things up.

Charles can’t help but chuckle as Max brushes up against his cheek before moving in to nuzzle against his neck. The Dutch omega currently looks like an overgrown kitten, bopping his forehead against various parts of Charles’ body and rubbing the side of his face up and over every inch of bare skin he can find. 

Max has always been a huge fan of scenting - both giving and receiving. When the omega has had a good day and he is all smiley and giggly he will launch himself into the nest and spread his sweet happy scent all over Charles’ body. When he’s had a bad day he’ll bundle himself up in Charles’ clothes and slowly be coaxed into a nice gentle purr as Charles delicately scents him. In fact Max loves scenting so much that Charles isn’t sure any more where one of their scents starts and the other ends. They both smell of the embers of Charles’ woodsy campfire aroma and Max’s sweet marshmallowy notes. A couple’s scent that blends together perfectly.

“We need to go in a minute” Charles isn’t sure what has gotten into Max today but he’s being extra diligent with where he lays his scent. He has rubbed his cheeks and his neck and his wrists everywhere at least twice but doesn’t look close to stopping. The omega bunches up Charles’ t-shirt until it is scrunched right up to the alpha’s chest and then proceeds to scent Charles’ stomach once more. 

Charles lays back and watches the concentrated look that has formed on Max’s face. It’s the same type of look Max sometimes gets before he jumps into the cockpit of his car - fully focused and determined.

“Max I - “ Charles’ breath hitches as Max starts rubbing further downwards until the omega is nuzzling against Charles’ crotch, “I can’t - we have to go.” 

“Just a tiny bit more” Max pouts and then continues layering his scent on top of his alpha. One layer is not going to be enough to last the day, especially if Charles gets sweaty during practice or the rain washes away the potency of the scent. Max knows he has to take his time and build layer upon layer if he really wants his scent to last throughout the whole day.

Max isn’t stupid, he knows that Charles loves him, there are just days when he is scared that that love won’t be enough. The paddock is full of available omegas all primped and primed and ready to hunt down a rich attractive alpha. Max is well aware that they’d jump on Charles in a heart beat if he so much as gave them a fleeting glance. It’s why Max has taken it upon himself to make sure everyone is aware that Charles is his and there is no better way to do that than making sure his alpha is drenched in his scent. 

“Are you nervous about something?” Charles reaches out to stroke his fingers through Max’s hair but the omega is still wiggling around and rubbing against him skittishly. 

“No” Max looks up and frowns in Charles’ direction, “I just thought you would like my scent on you.”

“I do” Charles takes the brief pause in scenting to shuffle himself up into a seated position against the headboard, seemingly much to Max’s annoyance. The omega makes a funny little growling type sound, much the same tone and intonation as a disgruntled puppy. Charles knows it is meant to be intimidating but it’s more like a yap than a roar. 

“Why don’t you come and sit in my lap?” Charles has barely finished asking the question when Max clambers up on to him and immediately swoops into the crook of his neck to continue with the scenting. They really should have left quite some time ago but clearly there is something going on with Max. As much as the omega loves scenting, this is all starting to feel a little more desperate than normal.

Charles isn’t completely naive, he’s noticed that Max likes to scent him before they venture out anywhere. He actually finds it pretty cute that his beautiful omega who has alphas falling over themselves to chase after him is so precious about making sure everyone knows that Charles is his. Today seems different though. 

“Baby, do you want to tell me what is wrong?”

“I already said there is nothing wrong” Max mumbles against Charles’ neck. 

“Okay” Charles hums still unconvinced “Maybe we can continue this in the car, I have a meeting with Fred and Bryan and -“ 

“Bryan” Max huffs under his breath. 

“Yes, Bryan.” Charles curiously notices the way Max’s beautiful scent starts to sour, “You don’t like Bryan? I thought you said it was good that I had a new race engineer.”

“Why him though?” Max untucks himself from Charles’ neck and pouts back at his alpha. The omega’s cheeks have started to glow red and the rouge shade is starting to spread up to the tips of his ears.

“Has he done something to upset you?” Charles can’t even recall a time when Bryan and Max were alone so he’s not sure what his race engineer could have done to make his omega so upset. 

“I think you are really talented too” Max murmurs as the red on his ears starts to glow, “I don’t know why he is always saying that stuff, of course he should stick to telling you about gaps and brake balances”

“Baby” Charles coos softly, “Are you jealous?”

“No” Max frowns and the lines of his forehead all start to wrinkle up, “It’s just … why is he always telling you how amazing you are? That is my job. I am your omega. He should just get his own alpha to praise.” 

Max cuddles back in against Charles’ body as the alpha tries his best not laugh, clearly Max has been listening to his onboards again and doesn’t like what he has heard. 

“I can feel you laughing” Max’s mumbles as he pulls back a few inches from Charles, “I can feel your chest vibrating. It’s not funny.” 

“I’m not laughing about what you think I am.” Charles brushes his hand through Max’s hair, “Sweetie, Bryan is just doing his job. He isn’t interested in me, he is just interested in me winning. And even if he did want me that doesn’t mean he gets me does it?”

“No”

“And why is that?”

Max scrunches his nose up like he is trying to mull over the possible answers before settling on one, “Because you have me.” 

“Because I have you” Charles smiles, “My little toasted marshmallow.” 

“Charles” Max rolls his eyes but grins just as widely as the first time Charles used the silly little nickname. It’s quite fitting though, Max’s mallow scent does smell like it is toasted once it’s mixed with Charles’ smokey camp fire scent. 

Charles leans in and licks a line right up Max’s neck, his tongue running broad and flat right against the Omega’s scenting gland, “You taste of toasted marshmallows too.”

Max scrunches his eyes up until his face looks squishy. 

“Why would I want anyone else when I have free marshmallows for life?” Charles laughs and leans in again, licking right over the same spot. Max giggles and squirms around but doesn’t make too much of an effort to escape, the omega clearly more than content to be perched on his alpha’s lap. 

He looks pretty when he’s laughing, the blue’s of his eyes sparkling and the skin around them crinkling up. It’s adorable. More so because Charles loves nothing more than when Max is relaxed and happy.

“Baby you do know I am never going to leave you don’t you?” Charles tries to keep it light but it always tugs at his heart to hear that Max thinks for even one second that this isn’t for life. 

“I guess” Max gives Charles a faint smile, “But there are so many omegas chasing you all the time. I just need them to know you are mine.”

“Is it not enough that I know I am yours?”

Max drags his teeth flat against his bottom lip as he thinks, “No. I want them all to know too.” 

“Max - “ 

“You’re the first thing I ever went after that was just for me” Max’s cheeks are still red as he brings himself to meet Charles’ gaze, “I of course wanted to drive but that was also for my father but you, you are all for me and I don’t want to lose you. You’re the best thing I ever had.”

Charles’ breath catches as he tightens his grip on Max’s hips protectively. 

“Sorry” Max whimpers, “I can stop scenting you now if you want.”

“No” Charles knows he’s going to get in a world of trouble when he shows up late at the track but sometimes there are more important things to consider. He is Max’s alpha, he’s meant to keep the omega safe and make sure he is happy and feels loved. All of these things are more important to him that meeting and briefings. 

The alpha hooks his hands under his top and drags it up and over his head, “You can sent me for as long as you want” Charles reaches out and holds Max still, “But only if you know that I love you and you’re never going to lose me. Okay?”

“Okay” Max’s lips curl upwards as he gives Charles a rather shy smile before diving back in and getting to work building those layers of scent up on his alpha.

Being scented by Max is never a chore for Charles, he loves the act as much as he loves the end result. Having his omega rubbing up against him is one of the nicest feelings in the world, enough to make him rumble happily as he dives in and starts scenting Max right back.

JOHN : He's the kid who has lived the most "normal" life out of all the beta kids. I like to think he looks like a relatively average boy, and that his dad took good care of his son. I'm willing to bet Dadbert only bought him clothes that fit him well, so he nevers looks frumpy or whatever, but he doesn't look fancy. He isn't too thin or big, although maybe he has bit of baby chub here and there (he's still growing up :P) but overall he's healthy. I like to think he looks like a more masculine Jane Crocker, so he has Jake's features but looks softer ? you get what i mean. I also like to think he has thinner and straighter eyebrows, just to get that "innocent" hero look.

ROSE : To be quite honest I think people should point out how similar she's to Dirk sometimes. Like, I think she inherited his"vanity" to keep up appearances, esp about his hair. I like to imagine she keeps extra care of it, but doesn't quite know how to. I doubt she'd ask her mom how to do it, so her bangs become all dry and stringy in an attempt to have them pefect. I gave her lots of volume cuz I think it makes her look dramatic tbh. She looks masculine in the sense that I think she might have a little more muscle definition than Dave. I'm not talking body builder but like, you know how some people look a bit toned without doing anything ? That's that. Her face is more angled, her eyebrows are a little more filled in (like alpha Strider) but her sprite still shows she kept those enigmatic Lalonde eyes. Though I'd still like an aloof Rose Lalonde lol. She looks healthy enough, but not as she should be I think. Also she looks like an octopus.

DAVE : Same thing, I prefer to compare him to Roxy. Out of all the betas in my head he looks very soft. I don't personally draw his hair all rough like John's, for him it's more soft strokes and the like, to give the same impression as Roxy's little twirl thingy in her hair. His eyebrows are a little rounded too, not straight like Egbert's but definitely less harsh. As seen by Hussie's sketch of the Striders without glasses, he has big ol' eyes. So I'd imagine he has a more sultry shape than Rose. He's got a bit of a baby face. He's very skinny though, since Bro doesn't feed him properly. Physical activity + no food = bad tbh.

JADE : In terms of looks, she looks so bubbly. I haven't drawn all the alphas yet but I think she'd have Jake's "wonder" aura or wtv and Jane's big lashes, which gives her large anime eyes haha. She just has so much energy and wit. I tried to make her face look like Jane but with Jake's more "masculine" face shape, as in square. English just gave the "slightly square face shape" gene to his ecto-family lmao. So I tried to round the edges of her face abit, but it distinctly looks a little square. She probably has straight-ish eyebrows, but with a stern look overall ? Jane's skepticism about stuff comes to mind with that. Also I wanted to give the effect that if you shortened her hair she'd look like Jane and Jake at the same time (I haven't drawn the alphas ik but shh). She's probably healthy enough, I mean she has all the veggies and game she needs on her islands, and gadjets and whatnot. She might look the most normal with John, but her upbringing is left to be desired :(

Reasons why I stopped using Alpha hair for Sims 4

Alpha hair give your Sims character the most realistic look. It also looks detailed, natural and yes... very beautiful. That’s why most of us fell for it since Sims 2 :D

But alas! Unlike Sims 2 and Sims 3, Sims 4 wasn't designed for Alpha hair. Even after lots of amazing cc creators managed to provide us with many awesome Alpha hair content, it still, on my opinion, doesn’t fit Sims 4 as perfect as it should. 

Those of you who’re using G-Shade or ReShade know that Alpha hair may provide many issues with depth and blurring background features. 

But even if you don’t use ReShade on Ultra game settings Alpha hair might look a bit blurry in compare with the rest of the character. You'll have to uncheck post-processing effect in Graphic settings manually to get rid of the problem. Yet, it will turn off the nice background blurring too :(

Pre-made characters in the game will still wear Maxis Match hair. Now you’ll simply have to redo them all! :D Plus Alpha hair on your character will desire Alpha clothes and Alpha furniture, then Alpha environment, Alpha trees and Alpha bees for everything to be in same aesthetic and same vibes! 

Which is fine, but let’s look at the size of one Alpha hair. For some 48K Polygons might not be the problem. Alpha hair are usually go up to 50K and more, so these particular hair are not the heaviest one. Besides, I know some Maxis Match hair that can easily beat these numbers :D Still, most of the Alpha hair items are much more heavier than MM, because it demands lots of details. 

In conclusion, I may only say that everyone can decide for themselves whether they want or not to use Alpha hair in Sims 4. It has it’s plus and cons. As for me, I made the decision to sacrifice Alpha hair’s beauty for stable and fast game with nice G-shade effects;)

Get to Know Me - Sims Edition

I was tagged by several people (thank you!), so I decided to get off my ass for once and answer this 😆

What’s your favorite Sims death? I think the mummy's curse one! There's just something about that ominous vignette during the countdown days, only for the sim to dissolve into dust at the end 😩👌

Alpha CC or Maxis Match? Both! Maxis Match for clothing, Alpha for hair.

Do you cheat your sims weight? Nope! I leave them at whatever weight they happen to be, unless they want to learn/practice the Athletic skill. I do cheat to give them more muscle tone if they're super muscular already, though; EA really should've made that slider move along the muscle mass one :/

Do you move objects? Oh yes. I can't imagine decorating without it.

Favorite Mod? Nraas Master Controller my beloved 💖 Can't forget BrntWaffles's lighting mods, they make the game look so beautiful that sometimes I like to just leave it on 2x while watching the sunset over the sea.

First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack? The first EP I got was World Adventures and it's still my favorite. The first and only SP I have is HELS, along with bits and pieces from the others.

Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing? The latter, though this question tripped me up the first time I saw it 😅

Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? Ohh that's a tough one. Fergus Vane is definitely among my favorites, he was a Johnny Bravo knockoff who eventually got married and I swear that he and his wife could NOT keep their hands off each other 😆 First is him making friends at uni, second is him with his wife.

Have you made a simself? Oh yeah, when I got the game and was trying to figure out how to play. Didn't last long until I started making serial black widows, lol.

Which is your favorite EA hair color? That platinum blonde looks so tacky that I can't help but love it.

Favorite EA hair? I think EA struck gold with: Loose Curl, Dramatic Ponytail, La Dolce Vita Updo, Chorus Girl Curl, Pin-up Pretty, Skinny Dreads, Wavy Bob, Elegance Style, and Wild Fire.

Favorite life stage? Young Adult, because it has the most things available.

Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? Ohh it depends. I go through phases when I'm not interested in gameplay at all, mostly when I set up a savefile for the first time. But now I've been more into gameplay for a few months.

Are you a CC creator? Yeah, mostly with CAS items and minor annoyance fixes.

Do you have any Simblr friends or a Sim Squad? I have a lot of simblr mutuals where I feel like a nosy person sometimes poking their head above the neighbor's fence to see what's going on 😆

Do you have any sims merch? / A Youtube for sims? Nope.

How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing? I give my concrete boxes a few more decorative elements now 😅 For once, I stopped playing serial killers (mostly to avoid the NPC pudding spam that ensues), and am making an effort to not micromanage sims as much and to fulfill their wishes instead of ending up with mostly level 10 chefs and gardeners all the time.

Who’s your favorite CC creator? Oh man do I have to name someone?? How long have you had Simblr? 2016! Sometimes I can't believe it's been so long.

How do you edit your pictures? I have a few customized Gshade presets, and only convert gameplay screenshots to JPG. For CC previews, I may change the background color and will combine several previews into one image (and I occasionally correct small issues like unsightly clipping due to the poses).

What expansion/ gamepack is your favorite? World Adventures is #1, followed by Seasons and prooobably Supernatural.

Get to Know Me - Sims Style

Tagging whoever would like to do this - I'm just home from work on a Sunday, so only light tasks for my brain please.

What’s your favorite Sims death?

I've never been the type who enjoyed killing off their Sims, so I haven't been very interested in the various death-types. Years ago I've seen someone reply to this question "the mummy curse, because of the darkening vision effect and the sandy death-animation and ghost". This inspired a generation of my gameplay legacy, but I manipulated it so the Sim turned into a mummy instead of dying.

Alpha CC or MaxisMatch?

Maxis match, especially for clothing. I like the clear silhouettes of MaxisMatch clothing and I think they work best with most animations.

Do you cheat your sims weight?

In gameplay I prefer to achieve weight-changes the natural way. In storytelling of course I make the characters the way I need them.

Do you move objects?

In storytelling always, in gameplay sometimes to decorate.

Favorite Mod?

The technically obvious answer is NRaas because the game is literally unplayble without them. I love how many gameplay mods are being released these days.

First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack?

For every Sims game I was a bit late to the party and waited until it came with a pets expansion. This and Seasons. The world is not complete without animals and seasons.

Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing?

As @nocturnalazure said, I understand it as "we're live now". It's called "Live-Modus" in German and in a German word that's the only way "live" is pronounced.

Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made?

I still think the cast of Of Chevalry are the best Sims I've ever made. I don't see characters' faces very clearly in my head, but these really turned out the way I hazily imagined them.

I like the braided updo from the basegame. I use a lot of EA hair actually, especially for male Sims.

Favorite life stage?

Depends. For babies, toddlers, and to some extend children, I wish there were more content and gameplay in the actual game. On the other hand, this makes it fun to make mods for them. Teens and elders I wish were more different from adults, and I wish the developers had gone the extra step and made all clothing available teen-to-elder, like in Sims 4. In my stories I try to show my characters' development in whatever age they currently are.

Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?

I'm not a very good builder. My best own buildings are square and simple.

Are you a CC creator?

I dare say.

Do you have any Simblr friends or a Sim Squad?

I feel really old when I think of all my mutuals who are no longer active. Around 2015 there were so many historical and storytelling Sims 3 simmers! Sometimes I think of their stories and how they might have continued...

Do you have any sims merch?

Until last year there was a cardboard plumbob hanging next to our family-computer. But we finally realized every family member has their own computer now, so we removed that office corner.

Do you have a YouTube for sims?

I do, but it only has a handful of three-second screen-captures from my game. At one point tumblr's video upload didn't work, so I linked them from youtube.

How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing?

It changed a lot. I always played a historic game, but I was much more eclecticist in the beginning. Of course also new cc came out, and I started using lighting mods and later poses. And I switched from gameplay to storytelling.

Get to Know Me - Sims Edition

If it seems like a lot of text, don't force yourself to read it, you can simply ignore it. Sometimes I write too much, I know.

1.- What’s your favorite sims death? Sims eaten by cowplants, although there is an anecdote from when I was little that is very funny because I had a little "trauma" with that death. When I first played The Sims Take the Street on PS2 (the first sims game I played for the first time in my life) together with Lea, we made sims from Fushigi Yugi and we put them to live in a house… They all ended up being eaten by mutant plant (a plant similar to cowplant in that time), being the last one Amiboshi just after his twin brother Suboshi… It was one of our first games so adding a mutant plant was like, "What is this? Let's put it in, it sounds fun" and it ended up being a bit of a shock since at that time we had no internet, no guides or anything and everything was new, from that time for me at the end, after that experience it's ended up being fun, so being eaten by a (cow)plant it's one of my favorites sims death.

2.- Alpha CC or Maxis Match? Maxis Mix, I absolutly like more Maxis Match for hair, but with clothes I usually use both Maxis Match and/or Alpha, same with makeup or skin details, so yes, I'm consider myself Maxis Mix more towards Maxis Match.

3.- Do you cheat when your sims gain weight? Why? When it comes to my/our OCs (Lea's and mine) we leave them as they wish to be, because they've gained or lost it by themselves because they have so wished, in fact one of our OCs, Carla, when gained more weight even became much more beautiful than when she had less weight, at least from our point of view.

4.- Do you use move objects? Yes, quite a lot when I have to place a lot of clutter together or I have to place in a special way the constructions to do what I want and look for.

5.- Favorite mod? I would say MCCC, but there are many times it causes me a headache.

6.- First expansion/game/stuff pack you got? Get to Work on realease. (Lea bought it, not me, but he likes to share, I mean it's stupid to buy the same thing twice when in gameplay we play together)

7.- Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing? I pronounce "Modo Vivir", but if it's in English then like aLIVE.

8.- Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? I have quite a few… They're all my cute babies, Ryuuya, Luka, Aris, Jack, Kyle, Kyla, Noah, Icaro, Carla. Lux, Kaoru, Ainosuke, Rin, Haruka, and many more but the list would go on and on... Sorry I can't choose... (And yeah we have a lot of original sims that we don't show here yet 😆)

9.- Have you made a simself? I did it once, when toddlers came out, I made myself into a toddler for a contest, but I have never done it again, and that simself no longer exists.

10.- What sim traits did you give yourself? With pack Growing Together that came out I can officially add more than three, right? Creative, Socially awkward, Ambitious, Music lover, Geek and Perfectionist. (The limit is 3 more traits, so I can't put Cat fan, Dog fan and Animal enthusiast [although these three should be considered more likes and dislikes, I don't understand how it can still be in traits], so I have them present but didn't add them, because I consider more as likes and dislikes).

11.- What is your favorite EA hair color? Red. I like black, but it changes and varies so much between different hairs and many of them look gray or bluish that they're no longer my favorite.

12.- Favorite EA hair? The two hairs that were added when Incheon Arrivals Kit came out and the hair from Snowy Escape that has two little clips on it.

13.- Favorite life stage? I don't have any favorite life stage, because all life stages are special in one way or another and I try to create sims of all kinds of ages, although maybe the ones I have the most are teenagers/young adults because I usually create a lot of sims based on video games/anime/shows if that makes sense, so people may consider those to be my favorite kind of stages.

14.- Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? Let's see, I would consider myself mixed, or versatile. During the day from time to time I would consider myself a builder, especially when I make constructions with references that help me to locate myself (although there are times that I also make them without a base, but it takes me a long time to finish them and I consider myself a noob, Kitta's house, Dope Sketch I look at all of you just now). On the other hand, during the night before going to sleep and after dinner I'm more of a gameplay person and I have a lot of fun playing together with Lea.

15.- Are you a CC creator? Yes, I love to create CAS CC (hair, clothes, shoes, accessories, etc…), construction CC (furniture, clutter, whatever I need depending on the moment), small modifications in the sims, I'm usually very versatile, I do recolors and frankmeshing too although most of the things I love to do are from scratch (with references that aren't mine or concept arts that I draw previously which are usually mine) to learn even more, so I usually take a lot of time but I have a lot of fun. Although around here what I usually share with everyone, are hairs made from scratch, some other skin details, poses and conversions from other games.

16.- Do you have any simblr friends/a sim squad? Not that I know of. The person I interact with the most around here is Lea but that's because we are family/best friends and spend a lot of time together, so for me it's like day to day. I would love to be able to have a constant energy and mood so I can interact more to make and keep friends around here. I write from time to time with people and would like to consider them friends but since we don't interact much or very constantly, I don't know if they consider me friends or if they would just consider me mutuals. I know of some people that we consider each other friends but we don't talk much either lately because I'm in my stage of writing little with people. But I don't refuse anyone or anyone who wants to interact with me and in the future something might come out of those interactions (friendship or... what's a squad? srsly I don't know it), I'm quite social/asocial and insecure, sometimes I write a lot and sometimes I write very little with people, so I don't know what they currently think of me.

17.- What’s your favorite game? 19.- Do you have a YouTube for sims? I don't have one, but I would love to, although I don't think anyone would be interested. I mean if you share something it's for someone else to see it and if no one would be interested then it would be like exposing yourself to the world but without being seen. I don't know if I make myself clear. I know that stories of your own sims/anything you do in the community have more room for other people when you do it as video, because when you talk they feel more empathetic with your stories/what you explain but my English is not very good and talking in general/talking to my sims is not my forte (that's something Lea is better at)

20.- How has your “sim style” changed throughout your years of playing? Pictures speak louder than words. I don't have sims screenshots I took in The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 because I can't access the external USB drive were on, so I'll limit myself to The Sims 4 screenshots.

A written summary would be that I currently use more sliders and presets, use 3D eyelashes and natural nails for all my sims and use eye makeup to give more volume to the "eyelashes" and give them more "life". And try to make more different types of noses, faces, eye shapes, etc…. Besides adding natural lips as "make up" (when they don't wear makeup) to make them more "realistic" within my sims realism.

22.- Who’s your favorite CC creator? I have a few and they're the ones I use the most in my gameplays shared with Lea in our sims. 23.- How long have you had a simblr? Since last year, end of April 2022.

24.- How do you edit your pictures? So far the only things I use are Photoshop and Clip Studio, but I don't retouch pictures so much, I just "improved" problems with scratches that appear in some parts of sims, eyelashes that are displayed wrong, etc… And then I put one or two tonal change filters in Photoshop, but out of CC I use on sims, it's pretty vanilla the final pictures. If I were to do something else at some point, I would probably put unretouched edit under the cut line to see the differences.

25.- What expansion/game/stuff pack is your favorite so far? If I had to say one for how the world is shown, CAS, objects and gameplay I would say Snowy Escape.

26.- What expansion/game/stuff pack do you want next? Seriously writing, refreshes. I would like to see refreshes and improvements of base game, an impossible dream, I know. Especially refreshes of Realm of Magic and Get To Work. Since Lea and I were forced to switch to EAAppsh*t we haven't bought anything from them anymore.

Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever let a sim die 😆 Not only do I not actually play the game very often, I’m just too attached to my sims. But if I had to choose it’d be death by cowplant.

Laegrinna, of course! I’m sure everyone who follows me knows already but she’s the sim pictured in this post and in my avatar. She’s the protagonist of a game called Deception IV: Blood Ties.

Yep, I do have one, you can see her in my 40th birthday post from last year. I gave her graying hair then to be more accurate. I did play as her a few times but it felt kind of weird so she just roams around my hood.

10. What sim traits do you give yourself?

I don’t use the traits mod but if I did, it’d probably be Absent-Minded, Perfectionist, Cat Person, Eccentric, and Socially Awkward.

11. Which is your favorite EA hair color?

I don’t use EA colors or textures, obviously, but I hate them all, especially the pee yellow blonde 😂

12. Favorite EA hair?

I don’t use EA hairs, but the only one I even remotely like is the Mansion & Garden dreads band hair. I might try to do something texture-wise with it at some point.

I dunno, I spend way more time creating and taking pics than I do playing. I’m awful at building but I do enjoy it and like I said I love decorating.

Yep, have been for almost 8 years now! I’ve made a ridiculous amount of CC, mostly hairs but I think I enjoy retexturing clothing and objects a bit more. I’ve just started learning meshing and it’s opened up so many new possibilities for me. I have an endless list of future projects!

16. Do you have any simblr friends/a sim squad?

I have a few. I’m not popular in the community or anything and my social skills are lacking but I do like interacting with other simmers.

Sims 2 forever!

20. How has your “sim style” changed throughout your years of playing?

It’s gotten much more eccentric and I’ve leaned harder into semi-realism despite most people playing Maxis Match the past 10+ years. I love goth/alternative CC and incorporated a lot more into my game when I created the Deception IV sims. It’s funny because it seems like people’s tastes get more mainstream as they age, but it’s exactly the opposite for me. I look at my old CC and the way I used to dress and make up my sims and think “wow was I boring back then.” The current aesthetic of my game more accurately reflects my personality.

Too many to list here! I’m a CC hoarder.

23. How long have you had a simblr?

7 years, almost as long as I’ve been creating.

24. How do you edit your pictures?

I do minimal editing, partially because I’m not very good at it and also because with CC previews I want people to see exactly what they’re getting. I use Pooklet’s game lighting actions, I’m careful with how much light I use when taking the pics in-game because it’s easier to brighten a screenshot than fix an overexposed one (Laegrinna’s white hair is particularly prone to overexposure). I brighten the subjects of the picture a bit more and darken the background a little so they stand out. But that’s really it.

25. What expansion/game/stuff pack do you want next?

Well, we’re not getting anything else for TS2 anyway, and I don’t even know what else I’d want because there’s so many fun mods out there that add to the game.

25. What expansion/game/stuff pack is your favorite so far?

That’s a tough one - I love playing witches (Laegrinna and her sister Velguirie are both evil witches) so Apartment Life is up there, but I also love playing businesses and having my sims go out on the town so I couldn’t imagine playing without OFB or Nightlife.

Thank you to @executables-sims for the tag! Took me a few days, but this was fun to fill out.

What’s your favorite Sims death?

Easy, death by Cowplant! It's so iconic and peak Sims-ridiculousness. That it made its way into future games is no surprise. Plus, I don't have a ton of accidental death in my game, and the Cowplant keeps me on my toes.

Alpha CC or Maxis Match?

Maxis Match as much as possible. I love TS2's aesthetic, even is some of it appears dated. My game certainly looks better in 2023 than it did in 2004, but it is still recognizably TS2

Do you cheat your sims weight?

No, I let it happen organically. Especially because I use Simler90's Slower Fitness Increase and Nopke's Fitness Decay, both of which really make you work for it. They are essential to my gameplay, but mean more of my sims have a high body skill than is probably normal. They are doing their best!

Do you move objects?

Of course. Why it isn't enabled in my UserStartup file is a question I ask myself daily.

Favorite Mod?

I have more than 500 mods so I don't know how I can pick. I could just say NUMENOR in all-caps to say everything he's done. But I'll go with a recent favorite, Nyami's Actual Alcohol Mod, because it adds chaos to gameplay and chaos is good.

Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing?

Living. We are in Live Mode, folks!

Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made?

In an older prompt, I answered with Daniel Monona, but since then it's definitely been Duke Patricio. I've made him 3 times (in my OG 2000's game, where he married Nina Caliente, in a Base Game Starter hood, and again in my 2020's game). He and Zeeshan are my favorite couple and I'm sad they are so close to old age because I've had so much fun playing them (but I've also been giving them way too many extra days with Elixir of Life or Life Fruit).

Ari is #2, but I haven't played him for a bit because I'm stuck on what to do with him as a Vampire...

Have you made a simself?

Nope, only one of my old TS2 Exchange avatar, which was intentionally not what I look like.

Which is your favorite EA hair color?

Never really thought about this, but maybe black?

Favorite EA hair?

Two male hairs, Rocker and Shortmop. Those two haircuts were iconic in my 2000's saves. Jeanette is my favorite CC hair.

Favorite life stage?

Teens. It's where my sims start to develop their personalities, and I begin to think about what I want them to do. They also haven't fully grown into their facial features yet, so you can get all sorts of good and bad surprises. Plus, they can cause lots of of trouble.

Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?

I still consider myself a builder, even though I play my game much more frequently these days. But I think 400+ uploaded lots in my time playing this game allows me to hold onto that label.

Are you a CC creator?

I guess so! Learning how to mesh and use Milkshape in the last year has radically changed how I see myself in the TS2 community, and has stolen so many days from me (the trial and error of making, and the trial and error of uploading), but its been a very fun skill to develop.

Do you have any Simblr friends or a Sim Squad?

I love my mutuals but I don't interact with other accounts too often. I don't post on a Sims discord or anything. Maybe I should?!

How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing?

Loaded question time! For one, my game is much more LGBTQ+ than when I shared neighborhood save files with my siblings growing up. Now that it's my game, exploring different relationships with my sims is one of my favorite parts of play.

I've also become much more Maxis Match as I get older. The 2000's were a wild west for CC creation, and my old saves are bursting at the seams with painted-on clothes and the mid-decade emo aesthetic that I have absolutely no interest in playing in 2023.

Lastly, my build style used to be modern and CFE heavy, but now I prefer traditional (modern works better in TS3) and makeovers.

Who’s your favorite CC creator?

I'll take a historical approach to answering this, because there are many active creators whose work I love, but I also try to preserve the legacies of the original TS2 pioneers. Here are 5:

Numenor - The Modfather. His mods did more to expand this game than just about anyone in the heyday of TS2. If you are reading this, you know who Numenor is. Need I say more? Windkeeper - Probably the best Maxis Match CC of the old era. Her stuff holds up remarkably well. en7en - aka "That Pagoda Guy." Yeah, he's the CFE genius who made the Eiffel Tower and disappeared way too soon. A huge inspiration on my old build style. Ehaught58 - one of the great builders across many different Sims eras. I need to upload some of his old TS2 lots. I wish I could still access his Exchange page because it was a treasure trove. His lots were often huge and unfriendly to old machines but would be fine now. A very recognizable build style (dark woods, earth tones). Daihtnaoz7 - If he did nothing but discover CFE he'd still be a legend. But he also wrote the single bridge, double bridge, and atrium tutorials, demonstrating how to best take advantage of this new cheat. A literal gamechanger. I paid tribute to him here.

Honorable mentions: Cyclonesue (TSR), Hatshepsut (TSR), Tiko (TSR), PiaNouka (Exchange), GoddessByline (Exchange), Wintermuteai1, Minideidad (Exchange), Cireking213 (Exchange, still around as CK213 for TS3 and TS4).

How long have you had Simblr?

I think I made this in Spring 2020. Right as COVID was shutting everything down, I found myself playing TS2 a lot more and eventually discovered Simblr. The old, big sites are either shells of their former selves (MTS), or don't allow TS2 content anymore (TSR), so I figured if I wanted to be active in the TS2 community nearly 20 after the game came out, I had to be on Tumblr.

How do you edit your pictures?

I have a Photoshop action that crops, brightens, and sharpens, and somehow pictures still take me way too long.

What expansion/gamepack is your favorite?

Answering for the first 3 games (as I haven't played TS4)

TS1 - Makin Magic! A perfect final EP for the first game. Though Unleashed was probably my very first EP. TS2 - University (I'm in the minority here, but it's so much fun when you have big dorms or chaotic houses). Seasons is #2 TS3 - Late Night. Bridgeport is gorgeous and the new lot styles were fun and I wish they could be ported in TS2.

No, that actually happened to Klothilde because she kept eating fish and it takes so long for them to eat fish that she got fat after eating it once lol - But TS2 fat meshes aren’t even really fat, so it doesn’t make much difference to me heh

Only for placing deco things, cause I don’t want to end up placing a chair or something that’s actually inaccessible and not find out until after I’ve built everything else around where I placed it

Well obviously that’s not a question for TS2 lol but something that both TS3 and TS4 have that would’ve been cool in TS2 is careers that you can actually play/interact with instead of the sim disappearing for 8 hours.

What’s your favorite Sims death?

In Sims 2, the satellite death and death by flies. I used those constantly.

In Sims 3, the meteor death (obviously) and the time sickness death. The meteor one because of how devastating it is while still making your surviving Sims a shit load of money and the time sickness one for how existentially horrifying it is. You just get Marty McFly'd right out of reality! 😱 I haven't had a Sim die that way when it wasn't on purpose and I'm willing to bet not many other Simmers have either. It's a pretty rare death.

In Sims 4, it's the pufferfish death and the Rabid Rodent Fever death. So visceral and mildly disturbing! When Sims 4 gets it right, it gets it right!

Alpha CC or MaxisMatch?

Alpha hair in Sims 3 because it's an absolute necessity, but I don't mind most of the EA clothes so I guess that's Maxis Mix?

When I played Sims 4, I was Maxis Match all the way except when it came to makeup and skin details.

Do you cheat your sims weight?

Not as much as I cheat their muscle slider. I find it preposterous that a Sim with no muscle definiton can go for one jog and come back shredded. I am constantly cheating their muscle mass back down to a more realistic level.

Do you move objects?

Of course, how do you live without that? In fact, I even have a button on my gaming mouse programmed to it.

Favorite Mod?

The transmogfrifer mod by icarus_allsorts and the stencil remover by velocity grass. I use these so much, I forget they're not naturally in the game.

Like, the first one ever? Sims 2 University. I played Sims 1 back in the day but I never had a single expansion pack for it. I didn't even know what expansion packs were until Sims 2.

What’s your favorite Sims death? Never thought very well about the death types but I'll go for Time Anomaly because the ghost actually looks kinda creepy!

Alpha CC or Maxis Match? MM clothing, semi-realistic Asian-made skins, ALPHA HAIR ONLY. Furniture is a mix, really, but I can't stand MM hair in TS3 AT ALL.

Do you cheat your sims weight? Not at all - if I want to change their weight, they'll go to the gym! Now, for other physical features (read: getting rid off EAxis cartoonishness) Edit in CAS is my best friend :P

Favorite Mod? The NRaas suite in general + Lazy Duchess ones, but if I need to choose JUST ONE I'll go with DebugEnabler just for the item spawn function and the shifting up/down walls without Decorator's Best Friend (which I like a lot too)

How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing? I actually find very difficult to let go of my powerplaying and shift to a more roleplayer style :P THAT SAID, in my decorating I finally found a balance between bare and overcluttered!

Who’s your favorite CC creator? it's a secret to no one that @joojconverts and I have very similar styles and we often suggest and beta test stuff for each other, and @bellakenobi and I are friendly outside Simblr too, but to say I have a Favorite CC creator wouldn't do justice to my 28GB CC folder 8D

How long have you had Simblr? I actually wanted to make a simblr for TS2 first but it never went forward (at the time I only did some mailbox recolors that I never released), so it's older than I believe, but I started getting active in TS3 around 2017-2018 I believe?

How do you edit your pictures? I cut, resize and add text ONLY. I have no patience for extra editing.

What’s your favorite Sims death?

I play Sims 3 the most so I'll answer it for that one. There are so many cool deaths in Sims 3, unfortunately I only experienced a few and in those my favourite is definitely the meteor one. I got this only one time in my 10+ years of playing. I remember it like yesterday, I had just made a new sim, was planning on playing a legacy and sent her to university. I shit you guys not she got hit by a meteor on her first class activity. As that was my only sim, the game was over xD

Alpha CC or MaxisMatch?

Ahh, hard to answer. You kind of have to go with Alpha hair in Sims 3. I remember I used a lot of Alpha cc for sims 2 back in the day. Before MM was this popular. I really do not like alpha cc in clothes for Sims 3 though. I guess a bit of both?

Do you cheat your sims weight?

I never actually felt the need to do that. I personally like exercise and my sims usually are on the active side as well and they keep good shape. I certainly don't mind seeing sims who are a bit on the heavier side around town.

Do you move objects?

Probably not as often as other simmers, tbh. I do build but I don't like clutter. If I feel the need to use it I will, but it doesn't happen often.

Favorite Mod?

Definitely Nrass MC. It just makes it so easier to fix some of the quirks this game can have. Also being able to just makeover townies, is a must for me. Even though I carefully select my randomizable outfits I'll still take them to cas for a touch up.

First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack?

Ah, hard to remmeber. I think I had open for business in Sims 2 as my first expansion but the first one I specifically saved up money for was Late Night for Sims 3.

Eh, not on looks exactly like myself but definitely on traits, Kara is pretty much me/my alter ego. I made her when I was 12 and didn't know how much I liked dancing or clubbing xD Realized it after I grew up and got to do those things, haha

Hmm, there was this hair mutation my only 4 generation legacy had. It was a very nice shade of blonde, I liked that.

For Sims 2, harder to choose. I love all these ( 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 ) my favourite is gonna be the Bella hair.

Favorite life stage?

Always gonna be YA. In every iteration. Loved university stuff in Sims 2 and I love that stage in all other games.

Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?

Well, I like building the lots my sims play in. A lot of the cc lots out there have too much clutter and I do not like clutter. Whenever I download a lot I'll end up deleting all those decorations anyway so why bother. Adding the fact that I'm an architect in RL, I just notice, specially in residential lots, some no-no's we were thought in school.

Short answer is, I build them for myself to play in and share just in case if people would like to add my things to their games.

I haven't dabbled with creating meshes but did some recolours, tattoos, lots or whatever. Am I a cc creator tho? Nah, I just share the stuff I make for myself.

I am in more control of the town but less in control of my sims these days if that makes sense? I try to do what they would wish to do and leave certain things to their autonomy.

What’s your origin id?

Do not use origin. I have the games on discs and I created their disc images long time ago. I use the no-disc crack for them now as I couldn't set the disc image to work for Sims 3 on this laptop.

Who’s your favorite CC creator?

I do not have that much cc for sims 3 but first people that comes to my mind are @sweetdevil-sims and @simlicious. Love their edits to simple maxis clothes and simlicious' patterns. They are out of this world in quality! looking at @aroundthesims for some objects I find myself looking for also.

How long have you had simblr?

I think I have been sharing my lots on @simsitecture since 2017 but haven't interacted with the community much back then due to my main blog being something else. I changed this blog to be a simblr I think about a year ago and since then I've been more active here.

How do you edit your pictures?

I have a few actions for brightness and saturation in PS. I use those on images I think that are too dark etc. Nothing else.

What’s your favourite Sims death?

This is such a weird question to me. I mean, I know there's whole crowds of people who play this game for the sole purpose of killing their Sims off, but I'm so attached to my Sims, their deaths can truly upset me somewhat. So, no, I don't have a "favourite death".

Alpha CC or MaxisMatch?

It truly depends on what I need. I guess I use more MaxisMatch CC though.

Do you cheat your sims weight?

Absolutely. I have them gain or lose weight when it fits their character at that point in their life of their story.

Do you use move objects?

I can't play without it.

Favourite Mod?

Anything NRAAS. I probably would have given up on this game if it weren't for those mods.

Who’s your favourite sim that you’ve made?

Are you seriously asking me to choose between my babies? I have so many faves and they change from time to time too. But I guess James is a good contender. He has a very interesting character profile which grew and developed over time. Part of his story is yet to be revealed but is very much alive in my mind. 😄 However, technically I didn't 'make' James. I created his parents and James, along with his sisters, was an EA generated child.

Have you made a simself?

Yes, she's my avatar on here. I recently updated her, because she was still a YA and, as much as I hate to admit it, I'm past that life stage now. 😄 I also updated her hairstyle and clothing to fit the current me a bit more. She's not as good a match to my actual self as some of the other sim selves I've seen people create over the years, but she comes close.

I don't play my selfsim. That feels weird to me. No offence to others who do, though. It's just not my style.

Which is your favourite EA hair colour?

There's a light brown colour I'm partial to at the moment, but without opening my game I have no idea if it's an EA colour or one I've added. Recently I've become annoyed by the reddish shade of EA's darker brown, but a lot of my Sims have that hair colour, so I'm subtly changing it on some of them.

Favourite EA hair?

I have so much CC hair (need to do a purge), that I don't actually remember what hair is EA. 🤣

Favourite life stage?

I mostly enjoy playing my older teens and young adults. I know most players don't distinguish between younger and older teens, but the way I approach the game means there's definitely a difference between younger and older teens. And the older teens and young adults are usually the most interesting because I get to create the most drama during those years.

Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?

I used to be both equally. Building up my town and then playing it. But my gameplay changed so now I'm not sure. I play to tell the story and I build to set the scene for the story, mostly.

My extensive town is still the starting point for everything though. Honeycomb Valley means a lot to me and I'm in the process of building up a 2.0 version of my town. Hopefully, I'm able to create a (slightly) lighter version of the town and therefore a smaller-sized save file. I'm by no means an expert builder, but I can create decent (simple) lots.

Are you a CC creator?

No. I do create pictures and custom signs for my own game though.

Do you have any Simblr friends or a Sim Squad?

Yes, I'm pretty sure I do. Back in the forum days, I was rather closely connected to quite a few other Simmers. There are a few people I'm also connected to on regular social media platforms, so we follow each other's personal lives alongside our Sim ones. In July 2014 I met up with my SimSisters Sandy (@aroundthesims) and Sara (@simsaralove) in Paris for a day, which was absolutely brilliant. Especially when you realise we all live in different countries. A few weeks later, Sara visited me in my hometown for a (beach)day. ❤️

Besides these lovelies, there are a couple of people on here whom I follow religiously because I either greatly admire what they do/write/play or because they're just lovely. Or both. 🥰 I guess I consider those connections a virtual friendship in a way too. At least from my perspective.

How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing?

Oh, loads! When I played The Sims 1 and 2 I played rounds of 2 days per family. When The Sims 3 came around I started playing SimYears. At first, my style of playing was just visiting families and going with the flow. Pretty much as I had always done before that. I didn't even take screenshots. It wasn't until I became an active member of the Sims community that I found out there was actually an interest in my Sims and that’s when I started actively taking (pretty bad) pictures of the things I played out and writing stories. Back then, Sandy called her stories "non-stories", which very much applied to me as well, so I adopted that term. Not so much stories, but rather a picture collection of things that occurred with a line of text. Reading my earlier (non-)stories now, I'm often tempted to go back and change them, but I won't.

Gradually, things changed. I started to plan events and happenings, and then playing those out. Characters developed and got more depth. I spent more time telling their individual backstories. It was actually you, @nocturnalazure, who gave me one of the loveliest compliments I've ever received a few years ago on a story and I never forgot that. You said you had always liked my stories, but the more recent ones made you feel more connected to my characters. That meant a lot to me. ❤️

Now, story planning has become my main starting point. I hardly ever have time to play randomly (which I do regret, I loved doing that), but planning and writing first and then playing out the stories absolutely works for me. I even threw my "no poses policy" away. 😄

My different approach to gameplay and storytelling sometimes also makes me a bit anxious though. KimmiesSimmies used to be light, airy, cute and innocent. Even the name is. Lately, what with writing first, the tide is turning. While I can still write "cute", my stories are generally more serious, sometimes quite a bit less innocent than they used to be. Take James for instance. As I mentioned earlier, there's a lot more to be told when it comes to his story. And the things which are about to come up (not soon, but they will) are definitely not light and airy, cute and innocent, but quite deep and even a bit dark. I want to tell these stories, but at the same time, I'm apprehensive about it. Is this still KimmiesSimmies material?

Shouto was no help whatsoever, not that Izuku was surprised. Shouto always had a strange sort of confidence about himself. He was exactly who he was and he’d never understood the need to impress others that so many people had.

Izuku envied him that trait. He was still growing out of his people pleaser phase, allowing himself to be more demanding and set firmer boundaries than he’d set his whole life. The Izuku from a few years ago wouldn’t even recognize who he was now. But the Izuku from a few years ago probably wouldn’t have gotten a date with a hot firefighter alpha. Maybe an alpha.

Izuku whined as he looked down at his phone as his thoughts brought him back to his dilemma. He’d texted Katsuki to ask where they were going so he could try to figure out what he should wear, but the firefighter hadn’t responded yet.

Just as Izuku was contemplating seppuku, his phone vibrated in his hands.

>>I’m not gonna spoil the damn surprise, but dress comfortably.

Izuku sighed. It wasn’t really enough info, but it would have to do.

He settled for stirrup leggings, and a loose pink crop top. It was autumn, and the air was starting to cool, so he set his coat by the door along with his usual red high tops. He’d done his hair much earlier, knowing he’d have to wet it to define his curls, then style it, and then blow dry it before he left for his date. Izuku had also winged his eyeliner and put on mascara, but decided against anything more this time.

He had time to drink some water before there was a knock on the door.

Bakugou had looked good both times Izuku had seen him, in his firefighter’s uniform, and his lounge clothes respectively, but there was something about seeing him cleaned up a bit that gave Izuku the tingles.

He wore a long sleeved black henley, dark wash blue jeans and black ankle boots. He looked like a snack and Izuku was suddenly starving.

“H-hi Bakugou-kun,” Izuku said, his face heating.

“Katsuki is fine,” the alpha said with a grin. “You look good.”

He held out a small bouquet of flowers, ears turning pink as he did so. The bouquet was gorgeous, and unusual in the best way. It had orange roses, baby’s breath, and green carnations wrapped in white paper.

“Oh, Katsuki, they're so pretty!” Izuku pressed his hands to his burning cheeks before he reached out and took the bouquet with a smile. “I’m sure I have a vase around here, come in for a second while I check.”

Katsuki smiled and stepped into the entryway, allowing the door to shut behind him. He stuck his hands in his pockets and leaned back against the closed door as he watched the omega putter around the apartment.

He looked cute, the pink making him look soft and innocent but the lithe muscles of his arms a direct contradiction. The little nerd wasn’t overdressed thank fuck. Katsuki was a little worried he’d have to spoil the surprise to get the little omega to wear something appropriate.

When he bent over to look under the sink, Katsuki had to bite his lip to keep from groaning. Good god that ass could not be real. His teeth ached with the urge to bite and his dick pulsed between his legs as he imagined how it would feel.

Katsuki looked away quickly before his fantasies got out of hand and embarrassed him. He pulled out his phone and started a game of solitaire to distract himself for a moment.

When he looked up again, the little omega had put his flowers in a vase and was in the process of taking a picture on his phone.

Once done, he turned around and smiled at Katsuki, who fought the urge to squint. He padded over towards the door, towards Katsuki, and slipped his shoes on. Katsuki grabbed his jacket to help him into it, his parents raised a gentleman goddammit, and smirked down at him when he noticed his red cheeks.

“Can I get a hint?”

“Nope,” Katsuki said, his grin shit eating and excited. “But you’ll have fun.”

1. What’s your favourite sims death?

Hm... it might be the satellite in TS2. It’s really rare but not rare enough that it doesn’t happen. And it’s so sudden when it does happen!! I’m always a little bit afraid of letting my sims stargaze or cloudgaze because of it, especially if I’m really attached to them.

2. Alpha CC or Maxis Match?

Definitely Maxis Match, but sometimes I like to lean a little bit Maxis Mix. Maxis Mix is kind of what people mean when they say “Maxis Match” for TS2 anyway and you have to call it “True Maxis Match” or something if you’re actually matching TS2′s style. I think the “True Maxis Match” style is really cute too if only because it’s really nostalgic. I kind of hate most of the Maxis hair but I’ve been trying to lean into more of a True Maxis look for clothing in TS2 lately.

3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight?

No, I wouldn’t even think to do that! I do think the rate at which sims both gain and lose weight in TS4 is a bit ridiculous so I have a mod that slows them both down. In TS2 and TS3 I just let whatever happens with their weight happen but the “fat” body type in TS2 hardly looks different from the thin one anyway, which is a bit of a shame.

5. Favorite mod?

I want to say Lazy Duchess’s Autonomous Proposal/Break Up mod because I really, really love that mod but it actually might have to be Midge the Tree’s edit of simler’s Romantic Standards because that’s really what makes all of the incredible romantic drama in my neighborhoods possible and I would miss it terribly if I ever had to play without it!

6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got?

Hm... I guess it must have been Livin’ Large since that was the first one that came out. (Not to brag or anything but I’ve been playing The Sims since the year 2000~ 💅)

7. Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing?

It’s pronounced like “living” and I will die on this hill! The three game modes are all verbs!! The one you build in, the one you buy in, and the one you live in!!! Making one of them randomly be an adjective throws the whole thing off grammatically!

8. Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made?

The sims that I get attached to are usually born, not made. I really rarely actually make sims in CAS. Um... you’re not going to make me choose a favorite child, though, are you?

9. Have you made a simself?

Oh lots of times! I used to make sims of myself and my family all the time when I was younger. I think it would feel a little weird to actually play with my simself now (at least in my usual play style) but sometimes it’s fun to see if you can recreate yourself!

10. What sim traits do you give yourself?

Like Sims 3 traits? Maybe clumsy, friendly, frugal, good, and absent-minded? I would hate to actually play with that sim though because the absent-minded trait is SO annoying in gameplay! In Sims 4... maybe clumsy, gloomy, and outgoing?

11. Which is your favorite EA hair color?

I don’t think I have one. In TS2 they’re all fine and in TS4 a handful of them are really bad but the rest of them are fine. I don’t think there’s any that I particularly like.

12. Favorite EA hair?

I used to really like shortperm when I was younger and I still think it's cute. That’s what my hair looked like when I was in high school.

13. Favorite life stage?

I think teens in TS2 are really fun so it’s a bit of a shame that the lifespan I use cuts it a bit short. I’ve also quickly grown really fond of the new infant lifestage in TS4. They’re just too danged cute I can’t stand it!!!

14. Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?

I mean, I’m absolutely in it for the gameplay but I also have fun building!

15. Are you a CC creator?

Sometimes! Mods more often than cc but I rarely find time and energy to work on them so I haven’t made much.

16. Do you have any simblr friends/a sim squad?

Yeah, I’ve definitely got some friends here 💜

17. What’s your favorite game? (1, 2, 3, or 4)

It’s definitely Sims 2. I think all of the games have their strengths though (even Sims 4)

18. Do you have any sims merch?

Is it kind of a crime that I don’t? Maybe I should.

19. Do you have a YouTube for sims?

I do! This one is for edited Let’s Plays (so far just The Sims 2 for PSP. I haven’t uploaded there in a while but I have some recordings on my computer so I should be active again soon. We are going to finish this game!). And this one is for stream VODs. I stream The Sims 2 every Monday and Friday on Twitch and for the month of June, we’re fundraising for the Transgender Law Center so we’ve got some extra fun stuff going on~

20. How has your “sim style” changed throughout your years of playing?

I can’t really remember what my sims used to look like when I was younger but my play style has definitely changed a lot! When I was younger, I used to micro-manage my sims so much I might as well have turned off autonomy! I prefer to let my sims shape their own lives now and I actually hate having to make decisions for them.

22. Who’s your favorite CC creator?

Um... obviously everyone at @the-crypt-o-club. No I’m not biased! 😉

23. How long have you had a simblr?

I guess I first made it in 2016 but I didn’t actually start using it until late 2019. I usually just shove everything on my main blog so it’s a miracle I have one at all.

24. How do you edit your pictures?

I use GIMP. The edits I do are usually pretty minor though because I use reShade when I take pictures I care about enough to edit.

25. What expansion/game/stuff pack do you want next?

I haven’t bought High School Years yet, but I might have to because teenagers in TS4 are boring as hell without them! I’m just really irritated that they released it separately from Growing Together since it feels like that pack fleshed out every life stage except teenagers and they definitely worked on both at the same time because they were released one right after the other and EPs take a long time. Everything from that pack other than the active high school feels like it could have been part of Growing Together if you ask me! (If you mean what pack do I want them to release next, none. Please let Sims 4 die already 😌)

25. What expansion/game/stuff pack is your favorite so far?

Sims 1: Makin’ Magic Sims 2: Uh... Nightlife? (they’re all really good is the problem) Sims 3: Late Night? Generations? idk man not a single one of them is bad!! Sims 4: Might be Growing Together tbh. Or maybe Parenthood? Vampires and Paranormal are definitely up there too. They obviously don’t flesh your game out as broadly but I do really like them.
