What Is The Purpose Of Thermal Protector For Motor?
Tumblr media
In the world of electrical engineering and motor technology, ensuring the longevity and safe operation of motors is paramount. One critical component in achieving this is the thermal protector. This device is designed to safeguard motors from the damaging effects of overheating, which can lead to motor failure, safety hazards, and costly downtime. In this article, we will explore the purpose of thermal protectors for motors, how they work, and the benefits they provide.
Overheating Protection
The primary function of a thermal protector is to prevent motors from overheating. Motors generate heat during operation, and under certain conditions—such as heavy loads, high ambient temperatures, or inadequate ventilation—the temperature can rise to dangerous levels. A thermal protector monitors the motor's temperature and disconnects the power supply if the temperature exceeds a pre-set threshold. This automatic shutdown prevents the motor's windings and insulation from being damaged by excessive heat.
Prolonging Motor Life
By preventing overheating, thermal protectors play a crucial role in extending the lifespan of motors. High temperatures can degrade the materials used in the motor's construction, leading to insulation breakdown and mechanical failure. Regular exposure to overheating can result in repeated damage, significantly reducing the motor's operational life. Thermal protectors help maintain the motor within safe temperature limits, ensuring that it operates reliably over a longer period.
Preventing Fire Hazards
Overheated motors can become serious fire hazards, especially in environments where flammable materials are present. When a motor overheats, the risk of ignition increases, which can lead to catastrophic fires. Thermal protectors mitigate this risk by shutting down the motor before it reaches temperatures that could cause a fire. This protective measure is essential in industrial settings, residential applications, and anywhere motor-driven equipment is used.
Ensuring Safe Operation
Safety is a paramount concern in any application involving motors. Thermal protectors contribute to the safe operation of machinery and equipment by ensuring that motors do not operate under unsafe conditions. They provide an automatic response to overheating, preventing potential accidents and ensuring the safety of both the equipment and the people operating it. This is especially important in industries where motors are critical components of larger systems, such as manufacturing, HVAC, and transportation.
Minimizing Downtime and Maintenance Costs
Unplanned motor failures can lead to significant downtime and high maintenance costs. When a motor overheats and fails, it can disrupt operations, requiring time-consuming repairs or replacements. Thermal protectors help minimize these disruptions by preventing motor damage before it occurs. By maintaining the motor within safe operating temperatures, thermal protectors reduce the frequency and severity of maintenance activities, leading to lower overall maintenance costs and improved operational efficiency.
Complying with Safety Standards
Many industries have specific safety standards and regulations that mandate the use of thermal protection devices for motors. These standards are designed to ensure the safe and reliable operation of electrical equipment. Using thermal protectors not only helps in meeting these regulatory requirements but also provides a measure of assurance to operators and stakeholders that the motors are being used safely. Compliance with safety standards is essential for legal and insurance purposes, and thermal protectors play a key role in achieving this compliance.
How Thermal Protectors Work
Thermal protectors are typically integrated into the motor's design or installed as external devices. They operate based on temperature sensing elements, such as bimetallic strips or thermistors, which react to changes in temperature. When the motor's temperature rises above the safe threshold, the thermal protector triggers a switch that disconnects the power supply. Depending on the type of thermal protector, it may reset automatically once the motor cools down, or it may require manual resetting.
Types of Thermal Protectors
There are several types of thermal protectors, each suited to different applications and motor types:
Bimetallic Thermal Protectors: These use a bimetallic strip that bends when heated, triggering the switch to disconnect the power supply. They are commonly used in small motors and appliances.
Thermistor-Based Protectors: These use temperature-sensitive resistors (thermistors) to monitor the motor's temperature. They provide precise temperature sensing and are often used in more sophisticated applications.
Electronic Thermal Protectors: These use electronic circuits to monitor and control the motor's temperature. They offer advanced features such as adjustable temperature thresholds and remote monitoring capabilities.
Thermal protectors are indispensable components in the safe and efficient operation of motors. By preventing overheating, they protect motors from damage, extend their operational life, reduce the risk of fire hazards, ensure safe operation, and minimize downtime and maintenance costs. Furthermore, thermal protectors help in complying with industry safety standards, providing peace of mind to operators and stakeholders. As technology advances, thermal protectors continue to evolve, offering more precise and reliable protection for motors in a wide range of applications.

Simon 'ghost' Riley headcanons! (Ghost x reader version)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. Affection in private
Although Ghost is cold and distant, with you he allows himself to show his softer side. He likes to cuddle in silence after a difficult day, finding comfort in the presence of his loved one.
2. Silent protector
He would never say out loud how much he cares about you, but he is always attentive to the small details: making sure they get home safely, checking for anything that might cause you trouble.
3. Unexpected details
Despite his gruff appearance, Simon has an impeccable memory for the things that matter to you. He remembers important dates, your favorite foods, and even what songs you like, surprisingly.
4. Difficulties with vulnerability
Ghost struggles with expressing his emotions openly due to his traumatic past, but makes an effort to be honest with you, even if that means just sitting in silence and letting you pet him. He loves that, actually. But he will NEVER admit it.
5. Restless sleep
Due to his experiences in combat, he often suffers from nightmares. ( I already said that in my other post, if you guys wanna see it.) On those nights, you and only you are the only person able to calm him, either with soft words or simply by holding him until he falls asleep.
6. Silent support
He's not one for many words, but he's always there when his love needs him. If you're stressed or sad, he'll just stay by your side, offering his presence as a reminder of that you arent alone.
7. Discreet jealousy:
Although he trusts his partner, he can't help but feel a little jealous when someone gets too close. However, he will never show it in an obvious way, he will just limit himself to placing a protective hand on your back or kill someone with a look.
8. Practical gifts:
Ghost isn't the traditional romantic type, but he does like to give things that have meaning or utility, like a well-designed pocket knife, thermal clothing for the cold, or even small accessories.
9. Dry humor:
You are one of the few people who can enjoy his sarcastic and dry sense of humor. He loves to make witty comments at the most unexpected moments, Especially when you're mad at him.
10. Uncertain future plans:
Despite his dangerous life and soldier's mentality, deep down he dreams of having a safe place with his partner. Perhaps a house far from the chaos, where he can finally let his guard down.

𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐒
> “You can stop right there, Señorita. I’m gonna get you out of here. Trust me.” — Luis
PAIRING: Luis Serra x Female Reader (She/Her)
TONE: Enemies to lovers, coworker love, slow burn, canon-typical horror, apocalyptic romance, hurt/comfort, protector!Luis
WRITTEN BY: Little Devil <3
RATING: Mature (17+ for language, canonical violence, blood/injury, kissing/intimacy, horror themes)
WORD COUNT: ~7,000
BASED ON: Resident Evil 4: Remake
SYNOPSIS:
You and Luis Serra were once co-workers—begrudging, brilliant minds working for Umbrella Europe, watching the Las Plagas parasite unravel like a plague foretold. He flirted. You rolled your eyes. And when the outbreak came, you both ran. But the deeper into this infected nightmare you fall, the harder it is to deny that somewhere between hell and survival, your hearts started beating in unison.
I. THE CALM BEFORE THE CURSE
Umbrella Europe Lab | Sierra Verde, Spain | One Month Before Outbreak
The lab always smelled like bleach, regret, and ambition.
You sat hunched over your workstation, eyes glued to the microscope. Las Plagas Variant A00. Early stage. The cells twisted under the lens, spiraling into violent growth patterns. Aggressive. Unstable. Beautiful in the way venomous things often were.
“Careful, cariño. You keep glaring like that, and the microscope might just quit.”
You didn’t look up. “Luis, do you practice being this annoying or is it instinctual?”
A smooth chuckle drifted from behind. “It’s a gift. Like my bone structure.”
Luis Serra. Professional pain in your ass. He leaned beside you, lab coat flared open, shirt barely buttoned—because, apparently, dress codes were beneath him. His smile was casual, but the exhaustion behind it wasn’t.
“Still tracking the accelerant response?”
“You mean cleaning up the mess you made with your ‘experimental cocktail’? Yeah.”
He winced theatrically. “Ah, mi culpa.”
Your glare softened, almost fond. Almost.
He tapped the glass of your culture slide. “You know what they’re really making here, don’t you?”
You stilled.
“I know,” you said. Quiet. Heavy. “And I know you’re not just flirting your way through the apocalypse for fun.”
His smirk faltered. “You think I don’t lose sleep over it?”
You didn’t answer. But you saw it. The truth in his posture. The guilt under his bravado.
And a part of you—the part you swore you’d buried—wanted to believe he was more than he pretended to be.
---
II. GROUND ZERO
Two Weeks Later | Sierra Verde Facility Collapse
The screams came before the sirens.
You ran through blood-slicked corridors, lab alarms howling in deafening pitches. Las Plagas had breached containment. People you knew—colleagues, mentors, friends—were gone. What was left behind wasn’t human.
A snarl echoed down the hallway.
Your boots skidded. One of them—an infected researcher—lunged at you, mouth split too wide, black veins bursting beneath translucent skin.
You couldn’t scream. Couldn’t move.
Then a hand yanked you backward.
“Run!”
It was Luis.
Blood on his shirt. Eyes wild. He raised his pistol and fired twice—clean, practiced. The thing dropped.
You stared at him, breath ragged. “You came back?”
His fingers tightened around yours. “I’m not leaving without you.”
You didn’t argue. Couldn’t. You just ran.
He led you through a side hatch you never knew existed, down into the guts of the facility—past generators, water lines, and memories that already felt ancient.
And when the hatch sealed behind you, Luis leaned against the wall, catching his breath.
“You okay?” he asked.
You hated that your chest ached at the sound of that stupid pet name again. You hated more that you were glad he was there.
---
III. CLOSE QUARTERS
Subterranean Maintenance Tunnels | Night One
There was no exit. No plan. Just dark, recycled air and the sound of dripping pipes.
You curled against the cold floor, wrapped in a discarded thermal blanket. Luis paced like a caged lion. The silence was thick, broken only by your shaking breaths.
“Hey,” he said suddenly, kneeling beside you. “You’re bleeding.”
You looked down. A gash on your arm—shallow but angry.
He tore a strip from his already-ruined shirt and wrapped your wound, hands surprisingly gentle.
“You’re good at this,” you murmured.
“Field medicine or flirting?”
You opened your mouth to fire back.
But he was close. Closer than he’d ever been. His eyes, usually lit with mischief, were tired. Focused. Real.
“I won’t let anything happen to you,” he said.
You didn’t answer. But for the first time since the outbreak, you slept. And when you woke up to find his hand resting near yours… you didn’t pull away.
---
IV. THE VILLAGE OF SHADOWS
Present Day | Village Outskirts
Rain sluiced down in sheets. The safehouse—a hollowed barn—reeked of mildew and rot.
Luis sat by the window, pistol on his thigh, wet hair clinging to his brow. You watched him silently, cradling your stitched arm.
“We move at dawn,” he said. “Too many of them out there tonight.”
You nodded, though the weight in your chest said otherwise.
“I should’ve done something sooner,” you whispered. “I knew what they were making.”
“So did I,” he said. “I thought I could sabotage it from the inside. Buy us time.”
You turned to him. “You really tried?”
He nodded, barely. “And I failed. But I won’t stop now.”
You saw it then—the wear in his bones, the cracks in his armor. And suddenly, you didn’t hate him. Not anymore.
---
V. FRAYED EDGES
Village Perimeter | Dusk
It happened fast.
You were scouting the edge of the treeline when three infected villagers broke from the brush. You fired, but one of them got too close—his blade nicked your side, shallow but stinging.
Luis was there in a heartbeat, dragging you back behind a rusted tractor. The moment the threat was down, he was at your side.
“Hold still,” he muttered, voice tighter than usual.
You hissed as he peeled your shirt aside, cleaning the wound with water from his canteen.
His hands didn’t tremble.
He didn’t crack a joke.
Not this time.
“This was my fault,” he said.
“You didn’t send them after me.”
“I still brought you into this.”
His jaw clenched. You saw it—the same guilt from the lab, now weathered by blood and fire. But behind it, something softer. Protective. Fierce.
You reached up and brushed his knuckles. Just once.
“I’d rather be here with you than safe and alone.”
He blinked. And for the first time, Luis Serra had no smooth line to offer.
---
VI. IN THE CROSSHAIRS
Minutes Later | Forest Edge
You were almost back to shelter when it happened.
A noise—too fast, too low. One of them had tracked your scent. The infected villager lunged from the trees, machete raised.
Luis turned too slow.
“Luis!”
You didn’t think. You moved.
The gun kicked back in your hands—once, twice. You tackled the thing off him, dirt and blood splattering your arms. You pinned it, drove your knife down, the scream rattling through your bones.
Then silence.
Luis sat against a tree, wind knocked from his chest.
You were already at his side. “Hey. Hey, breathe. Are you hurt?”
He groaned, coughing. “Mostly my pride.”
You helped him up, hands trembling. “You scared the hell out of me.”
He winced, leaning on you. “Didn’t know you cared so much, corazón.”
“I don’t,” you lied, breathless. “You’re just useful.”
“Liar,” he whispered.
---
VII. THE FIRE BETWEEN
Abandoned Cabin | Later That Night
Luis sat shirtless on the floor, wrapping a new bandage around his ribs. You hovered nearby, heart still galloping.
He looked up. “You saved me.”
You shrugged, trying to look unaffected. “Figured I owed you.”
He smiled. Not cocky—just grateful.
“Gracias,” he said. “You didn’t have to.”
“I wanted to.”
That made something flicker in his eyes.
“You’re not the man I knew in that lab,” you added. “You’re… better.”
He chuckled. “Low bar.”
You knelt beside him. “Still true.”
There was a long pause. Then, without thinking, you reached out and brushed his cheek. His hand covered yours.
“I like this side of you,” you said.
“I like being someone you’d want to see.”
And for once, you didn’t run from the silence between your heartbeats.
You leaned in.
And kissed him.
Not out of fear. Not because it might be your last night.
But because you wanted to.
Because you meant it.
---
VIII. RECKONING
Village Edge | Rescue Point
The dawn sky bled orange and smoke.
You and Luis stood side by side, weapons ready. The chopper was coming—just a few more minutes. You could hear the engines, faint above the treetops.
Luis looked at you, bruised and smiling. “So, coffee after this?”
You laughed. “Depends. Still planning on poisoning it?”
He smirked. “Only if you’re into that kind of thing.”
And then, softly: “You really saved me back there.”
You met his gaze. “We save each other. That’s what we do now.”
The chopper crested the hill.
You didn’t look back.
You reached for his hand.
And held on tight.

SandWings
It's finally time, people!!!
SandWings have been on the agenda for a while and I'm so happy to finally have them done. Here's as much info as I can give right now.
General
SandWings are medium-sized bipedal dragons that inhabit the desert, badlands, and other transitional biomes of Pyrrhia. They come in a variety of muted desert-y colors, but the most common include: Yellow, brown, red, dusty orange, and some black.
SandWings, unlike most other tribes, are built for running long distances rather than flying. While their wings are still perfectly good for travel, it's far more efficient to travel on foot, since they are the fastest tribe on the ground.
Their wings are smaller in comparison to their body than most other tribes as well, so they largely rely on desert thermals to keep them aloft. In places with minimal air currents, or with excess cold, SandWings have trouble gaining lift.
SandWings have light armoring along the scales of their back, although these armor-plated scales are not quite as tough as you would expect. These armored scales are thicker than the rest as to protect them from the harsh sun; although they do double as a nice additional protector from other SandWings' venomous tails. Otherwise, they're not great for protection.
Their armored appearance bears heavy resemblance to MudWings, and it is believed that MudWings and SandWings are quite closely related; albeit MudWings are much more on the heavyweight-end.
A SandWing's horns can be of any shape and array, although most commonly, SandWing horns protrude forward like bull horns; especially female SandWings, where they're used to vie for the throne. These horns are utilized at high-speed to ram into targets, and to duel with rival SandWings. Being hit by a SandWing horns-first at top-speed is near equivalent to being impaled by a motorcycle on the freeway.
SandWings are also adorned with frills along their head, neck, & chest. Male SandWings have additional frills along their lower jaw & lower torso.
These frills are continuously-growing, meaning that SandWings typically cut, style, & shave them at their discretion. Some SandWings prefer their frills long, like Princess Blister. Other SandWings cut them quite short to keep them out of the way during battles, like Six-Claws. Short frills became standard for SandWings during the War of SandWing Succession, as they became a distraction or a detriment otherwise. It was rare for a SandWing not to have short frills during the 20-year conflict, if they were battlers and not factory-workers.
SandWings are notorious for their potent venom. This venom is created and stored in sacs inside the barb at the tip of their tails.
While adult SandWings are perfectly capable of killing another dragon with a lethal dose, SandWing dragonets are far more deadly. Not strictly because of the venom, but because they lack the control needed to limit how much venom they inject. A sting from a newly-hatched SandWing is more likely to kill you than a sting from an adult, who can decide how much they want their sting to hurt.
Culture
SandWing culture is nothing mysterious; they have some of the most well-known festivals and armaments in the continent.
SandWings, having so much land to themselves, utilize much of it for factories and plants. They are one of the most technologically advanced tribes, with steampunk-esque mechanisms and structures throughout their kingdom.
Their metals of choice include copper, tin, and bronze; much of it mined within the desert itself. However, with the SkyWings' alliance, SandWings on Burn's side of the war have been able to import metals and other materials from the mountains to create stronger weapons & armors. Similarly, Blister & Blaze's forces have been able to do this as well, albeit with fewer materials overall and less armored dragons total.
Weapons and armory aren't the only things SandWings create with their metallurgy though. SandWings, having deep respect for their veterans and a cultural motto that you will always survive to fight, also create advanced prosthetics.
Prosthetic legs & arms are the most common, but you might also catch a SandWing with a prosthetic wing or tail. Some SandWings get horn replacements if their horns break off in battle and become less effective at fighting with.
Prosthetic wings are by far the rarest to find, since they are the most expensive to make & obtain, and don't actually perform quite as well as a normal wing. Most dragons with prosthetic wings use them to show off their worthiness in battle, how they survived and were heavily rewarded for their supreme skill and efforts.
Each prosthetic, weapon, and piece of armor comes branded with several labels: The name of the factory it was made in, the name & seal of the queen/princess it was made under, and its serial number. These labels would allow each rival sister to check their dragons' true alliance. SandWings with the seal of a rival sister would be killed, as it would then be apparent who they went to for their supplies.
After the end of the War of SandWing succession, the seals for Burn, Blister, and Blaze were retired in favor of Queen Thorn's own seal. As a result, armor with the royal SandWing sisters' seals were considered limited collector's items, and have increased dramatically in their value.
Prior to the death of Queen Oasis, these seals were not a generic serial label, but a gift from the Queen, almost like being knighted. To have armor with the Seal of the Queen was considered a great honor, but times have changed.
RGAAAAH I HOPE Y'ALL LIKE THIS If you have any questions or ideas you want me to fill in on, please shoot me an ask or something bc I would love to answer !!

Welcome once again to Monarch: After Dark, the digital gateway between you and the organisation dedicated to understanding and navigating this troubled new world we live in.
Apologies for the lack of communication in recent weeks, Monarch has been hard at work collecting data and collaborating with global governments through the most recent Titan crisis, including the disposal of deceased Titan remains and the best course of action to take with Godzilla in his new resting place.
That said, today's communication will be going over a Titan who has been surging in popularity across the globe over the past few years; the undisputed king of the Hollow Earth, Kong.

Monarch Database File: Kong
Monarch Designation: Titanus Kong
Height: 337 feet
Weight: Unknown
Nature: Unknown
Behavioural Classification: Protector
-----
Until recently, Kong was believed to be the last of his kind. Born during a climactic final battle between his parents and a horde of Skullcrawlers (ravenous amphibian predators on Skull Island), Kong grew up in an isolated world filled with danger at every angle. Growing up to become the guardian deity of Skull Island, Kong was held in great reverence by the native Iwi tribe that lived on the island. His species, designated Apus giganticus, were also known protectors of the Iwi, fighting off the Skullcrawlers and other threats until their last breath.
During his centuries on the island, Kong fought a variety of creatures, from the Mire Squad and Sirenjaws to other Titans such as the mysterious Kraken or night-bringer Camazotz. However, in 2021, a storm generated by Monster Zero fused with the perpetual storm surrounding Skull Island and plunged it into chaos. Three years later, in 2024, Kong was removed from the island as the key to a daring plan to uncover a Hollow Earth energy source to stop Godzilla. The two alpha Titans clashed twice before setting aside their differences to take down Apex Cybernetics' rogue superweapon, Mechagodzilla.
Currently, Kong now resides in the Hollow Earth alongside a newly-freed tribe of his speices, an orange ape-like Titan which he seems to have adopted as a son, and the ancient ice Titan Shimo.

(Pictured above: Monarch officials reviewing recovered footage of Kong from the doomed 1973 expedition to Skull Island, circa. 2019)
While Kong's exact origins are unknown, research conducted within the Iwi settlement appears to place his birth somewhere in the 17th Century, making him perhaps the youngest Titan on record. However, his entangled history with Monarch began much later, in 1973.
In a time where Monarch was on its last legs and facing the possibility of being shut down, founding figure William Randa and geological advisor Houston Brooks lobbied to piggyback on a Landsat expedition to Skull Island. With a military escort courtesy of the Sky Devils squadron, the team dropped seismic charges on the island to map the bedrock beneath the surface. Unknown to them at the time, their charges awakened the Skullcrawlers living in thermal vents beneath the island and incurred Kong's wrath.
Kong swiftly destroyed the Sky Devils' helicopters, leaving the survivors split into two groups. One, including Brooks, encountered the Iwi and stranded WW2 pilot Hank Marlow, where they learned about Kong and his history with the Skullcrawlers. A second, including Randa, embarked on a mission of revenge driven by Colonel Preston Packard.
Tumblr media
(Pictured above: Kong battling the remnants of the Sky Devil squadron after being lured into a napalm trap, circa. 1973)
After being lured into a napalm trap by Packard, Kong was initially helpless to battle the recently awakened Skull Devil, the last of the adult Skullcrawlers that had a hand in wiping out his family centuries prior. Recovering quickly, the two beasts engaged in a brutal encounter. Following some assistance from the expedition survivors, Kong triumphed by tearing out the Skull Devil's innards, avenging his parents in the process.
His next major sighting occured in 1993, but without a Monarch presence on Skull Island at the time, this is pending investigation. According to witnesses, Kong did battle with a large underwater Titan (designated 'Kraken'), after being coaxed to the island's coast by Annie, a young girl stranded on the island for years with a strange dog-like beast as a companion. After exchanging many blows, Kong ultimately killed the Titan by tearing its body in half.
In 1995, Aaron Brooks (Houston's son) led an unauthorized expedition to Skull Island, as he felt unsatisfied with leaving protection against the Skullcrawlers to Kong alone. During their stay, mythographer Walter Riccio experienced vivid visions of Kong's origins, under the influence of an Iwi medicinal drink. When Riccio destroyed the wall to the Iwi village, Kong stepped in to vanquish the Mother Longlegs swarm that seized their chance and killed Riccio before communing with Aaron and the Iwi.
Tumblr media
(Pictured above: Artistic rendition of Kong tearing the "Kraken" Titan in two, based off eyewitness testimony, circa. 1993)
In the following decades, Kong was largely left to his own devices as the island's guardian. Though Monarch teams briefly assisted him in 2015 with a crisis involving the unknown organisation Janos Biotech and the island's Snarehunter population, and Kong himself kept a horde of Skullcrawlers that attempted to leave the island in response to Monster Zero's 'alpha call' in 2019, no major events really transpired between 1995 and 2021.
In 2021, as mentioned previously, Skull Island was plunged into chaos when one of Monster Zero's residual storms merged with the storm system surrounding Skull Island. When darkness fell, the bat Titan Camazotz emerged and battled Kong for dominion over the island. Thanks to a daring pilot triggering a sonic boom to disorient Camazotz, Kong was able to prevail, though he was ultimately unable to save his home.
Three years later, and the artificial habitat Monarch built for Kong was unable to hold him much longer. He was reluctantly taken to the sea and transported to Antarctica's Outpost 32 (now rebuilt as a Hollow Earth station), though not without attracting Godzilla, who destroyed the naval fleet transporting him and almost drowned the ape. Following the acquisition of an axe left in the Hollow Earth by his ancestors, Kong and Godzilla clashed again in Hong Kong. While Godzilla prevailed through sheer power, Kong refused to submit to his rule.
Tumblr media
(Pictured above: Kong leaping onto Godzilla's back from a building after staging an ambush, circa. 2024)
After being revived by an exploding H.E.A.V, Kong jumped in to stop Mechagodzilla from executing his organic counterpart. Setting aside their differences, the two Titans teamed up to take down the mecha. A blast from Godzilla's atomic breath charged up Kong's axe, and he was able to deal the finishing blow by hacking Mechagodzilla to pieces and holding its severed head in triumph. The two Titans regarded each other one more time before parting ways.
Which brings us to the present. While much of what transpired is still being compiled to our databanks, it is known that Kong returned to the surface on three different occassions. The first was to have an infected tooth removed at a Monarch facility, the second was in Egypt to coerce Godzilla into assisting him, and the third was a two-on-two battle in Brazil between Kong and Godzilla, and Shimo and the "Skar King", evil ruler of the Kong tribe in Hollow Earth.
-----
And there you go! An up-to-date account of Kong's history in the modern world, intertwined with Monarch from the 1970's. Currently, Kong is enjoying life down in the Hollow Earth, and as the world should do, this is where we leave Kong's story be, until the world needs him again.
Until next time,
Monarch: After Dark

The Sky is Calling
Congratulations, young one. Do not focus on your celebration, though, as now you have a choice to make. This is the first big decision you have to make in your life as a dragon:
---
With one mighty leap, you push your body into the air. Robust wings act on instinct, helping you climb higher and higher. Finally, reaching the needed height, your wings hold steady, spread wide to catch a thermal. As your parents, their parents, and ancestors before dating back to the world's birth, you reach greater heights than you previously understood with the air’s obedience and the natural magic within. With minimal effort on your part, the winds lift you, treating you as the sovereign of the sky as heritage dictates. As a kind ruler, you don’t make the air do all the work. Those magnificent wings, like massive nets, catch the rising warm air to aid in the process. With this partnership between the magic of the air and yourself, you claim your birthright.
The sky is yours.
The land and sea is yours.
The territory you will claim will be yours to rule.
Provided that you prove worthy.
With a birthright comes responsibility and the need to decide what sort of life to lead. All dragons require a strength to help them survive, titles to be called and to have bards sing from now until the stars die, and a hoard of what things the dragon feels drawn to acting as proof of their renown. With these three things, a dragon will not only survive but attract a mate that will help carry their bloodline forward. While the songs about you may last longer than your own life, your bloodline will bring continued notoriety long after your bones become one with the earth.
But right now, your mind is more focused on the joys of flight. For a year now, you had tested these unblemished wings by gliding and flapping them against a strong wind. This was instinctual and helped to build the power required for this day. You have felt the sky’s call, but not as strongly as today. The wind sang its song of freedom and exploration as it blew against your face, coaxing and taunting any young dragon to join it in flight. Finally, surrendering to the call, your heart felt the the urgency that it is time to leave the home of your giver and tender.
It matters not if your parents were caring protectors and educators, passive observers and demonstrators, or tyrants to hide from in the shadows. You learned enough in their territory to take the next step forward. You have grown, and this flight is not only a moment of joy but the start of something new. A new world, a new life, and an adventure that will carry titles earned when it is made into a song. Just as when you broke through the shell and took that first breath of fresh, magic-filled air, life will open new opportunities and challenges. A new chapter in life to surpass just as being an eggling, hatchling, and wrymling.
Announcing this new step in this story, you bellow out a triumphant song. Harrolding to the land you are leaving, to Tender and Giver who gave you life, to the world about to be seen that:
You are now a fledgling!
But where, little fledgling, will you go? As significant as his moment of advancement may feel, you are still so young and small for one of the mighty dragons. Loved and feared. Honored and Hunted. There will be as many threats as there are allies on this journey. Dragon kind is a force of nature that is both destructive and creative. They are beings whose breath is a weapon of good or evil, whose fang and claws bring protection or death, whose mind and emotions bring cunning or intelligence, and whose heart and life can see or cause the rise and fall of many.
Through the songs of migrating birds, you gained the knowledge of various lands that may be of use. One might be the territory that you can claim and rule over. It will mold you just as the magic within will seep into it, turning it into a powerful ally. During the times of deep sleep, the land will shape your body to better suit it as ruler. During those times, the land will protect the vulnerable sleeping form. So choose wisely:
To the south is earth covered in rich forest. The previous dragon who ruled there had long since passed. Her wickedness and cruelty to the neighboring two-legged beings resulted in slayers coming from far and wide, seeking the honor and glory of being the one to end her life. While she did kill all who faced her, the last did land a fatal blow that ended her as well. Her body is said to be in the center of the territory, causing the trees to grow to abnormal heights. To claim this land, you must convince the trees to listen to your magic, not hers, which still lingers beyond the grave. Also, consider the neighboring two-legged beings. Considering their previous monarch, they may not take kindly to a new dragon on the land. How will you be compared to her? More of the same or completely different?
By flying toward the west, you will find the ocean, which may be a better choice. There are rumors of an underwater labyrinth to call home. The sea is rich with treasure, from sunken ships to delicate pearls to harvest. A port town built on the coast may prove useful, though it is home to a savage mix of two-legged beings who raid lands far and wide. If you choose to interact with them, it will be a violent life, but one that could bring many titles and a great hoard. Provided that you are allowed to join them on their adventures across the open water. Perhaps, in time, they will serve you in exchange for keeping their home and ocean travels safe. For this territory, one must hone their strength and might and learn how to be like the water. Deadly and yet serene.
Another option is to go north, to the mountains. There, you will find the mighty city of scholars and magic users. Within their libraries and schools is so much knowledge and wisdom. Wonders for a young mind like yours to behold. Be aware that an ancient gold dragon is living there already. You know very little of him. He was a giver at one time, but his mate passed away around the time you hatched. What stories have said, he is mighty and strong, both in mind and body. It will take a sharp mind to convince this grand elder of 1,000 turns or more to allow you to live in his land? To truly claim this land requires proving to him that you would be a worthy successor to his territory instead of one of his bloodline. There are other young ones there, looking to do the same. You will need to rise above them as the most worthy. Do not forget, even if you succeed, what about the two-legged and other young dragons? Will they accept you as sovereign or seek your destruction at any moment of weakness? Not all can play the game of political power that this land will offer.
To the East is an unforgiving land of sand where a canyon will provide a place to make a lair. Very little is known of that land, so there is no way to prepare for what you might face. And yet, there is a sense of adventure in the unknown that sings out to any who listen. As the ruler of that land, will you become just as unforgiving, or will you learn another way?

If you can donate non money stuffs to Palestine, you can donate:
Clothes:
Desert-coloured clothes: light brown to gray range. This can help civilians to blend into surrounding and less likely genocided.
Veil, or fabric with light brown to gray colour. It helps them blend from above too.
DON'T DONATE BRIGHT OR CATCHY COLOURS. IT WILL MAKE THEM EASILY VISIBLE.
Bags, backpack especially. They can carry their belongings and shield their head.
Face mask made of fabric or not. Preferred to have khaki, light brown, grayish brown.
Gloves and socks for winter. We are nearing winter now.
Underwears to keep them hygienic
Aluminium foil blanket to keep them warm and to hide their body temperature from night/thermal vision.
Sunglasses to prevent Israeli drones detect their faces!
Face cover cloth or buff (still desert colored)
Hat! Wider the better! We need to keep them from sweatin too much so they won't get dehydrated. It hopefully make IOF miss their bullets.
Hazmat suit to combat against white phosphorus and any poisons weapon that's breathable and absorbed by skin
Miscellaneous:
Gas mask + filters
Tough stainless steel food and drink containers
Helmet that cover whole head
Arms and legs protector
Antiseptic
Water filters
Medications in demands
First Aid Kit
Pads for women
Milk for babies
Oxygen cans
Vitamins
Tool to sharpen rocks (idk what it is called)! Since Palestinian citizens mainly rely on rocks for defense, might as well make it sharp and hope it will hit IOF arteries or joints.
Fire blankets
Shovel to quickly dig out any rubbles and respectably bury the martyrs! Everyone in Palestine needs shovels.
Know any donation organization? Recommend these lists on them. Any information will always help.

Veykx'u lore Part 3: Fauna and flora
Fauna:
Carnivorous animals
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Snowy banshee.
Na'vi name: Herwìikran - "Snow ikran"
Habitat: Northern tundra.
Skin: White and a wintery blue.
Feathers: Snowy banshees have small fuzzy feathers on their faces that are greyish white in color. The feathers down its body match its skin more.
Height: 30 ft {9.144 m}.
Length: 9.144 m/ 30 ft {wingspan}.
Weight: 200 - 300 pounds
Eye color: Gray or indigo.
Anatomy: Snowy banshees have a large hatchet-shaped crest on their heads, containing hollow nasal air passages. They share the same body structure as mountain ikrans. They're covered in feathers that become more thick and fluffy the further it goes down it's body. The snowy banshee's wing muscles and specialized claws are used for scooping up prey and walking on top of the snow.
Behavior: Snowy banshees are very expressive, intelligent, and social creatures. They will communicate with each other using movements in their eyes, heads, and bodies. They travel in colonies that live in the snowy mountain range or on beaches of the Pandoran northern pole. Unlike the mountain banshee, the snowy banshee is more easy to bond with: To bond with a snowy banshee a na'vi/avatar has to approach a snowy banshee that had not flown away or doesn't show interest, and bow at them. If it bows back, then the na'vi/avatar can bond with it. Snow banshees can make several sounds for communication and has the ability of mimicry, often using this ability to mimic most popular phrases and can even mimic musical notes. They can even recognize their names and members of the family of the na'vi/avatar that they had bonded with.
In Na'vi culture: Like mountain ikrans, the Veykx'u ride snowy banshees and even use them to pull sleds. Families that have bonded with snowy banshees, will bond their newborns to their ikran and make basket like harnesses to put on the snowy banshee, so they can watch over and babysit the newborn(s) or toddler(s) all the way up to the point where the child starts to crawl.
In songs, dances, and stories the snowy banshee is thought to be a playful, but wise creature with the ability to navigate the spiritual realm
Some Veykx'u believe that snowy banshee guide the spirits of the deceased to Eywa, acting as protectors of the living/dead and messengers of wisdom.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Saber-tooth thanator.
Na'vi name: Pxisre' palulukan - "Sharp tooth thanator"
Taxonomy: Thanatora fatalis - "Deadly thanator"
Habitat: Arctic and subarctic tundra.
Skin: Denim.
Fur color: White to a mixture of frost and snow color. With tiger like stripes and spotted patterns.
Height: 9ft {2.7m}.
Length: 19ft {5.7m}.
Weight: 4 tons.
Anatomy: Like it's jungle relative, the thanator, this specimen has the body built for speed and stealth. Its body is covered in thick, fluffy fur. It has five sensory quills that sprout from sections of armor plating that encircle the rear of its skull, which have little fuzzy hairs on it.
Unlike the jungle thanator, this version has four eyes. The rear eyes have a unique sensory system for detecting infrared radiation, enabling them to generate a 'thermal image' of predators or prey like modern snakes. Which gives this apex predator a great advantage during snowstorms or whiteouts while their prey's vision is blurred from the snow. They mainly keep their second pair of eyes closed as their front eyes are powerful enough to use, and they mainly reserve their secondary eyes for snowstorms/whiteouts.
Like it's human name suggests, it has two pair of saber teeth that they can retract back into their jaw and flip out like a switchblade knife to stab into and pin their prey down. The saber-tooth thanator has a very strong bite force to crack bones, even when its saber-teeth are tucked away. They evolved to have strong jaw muscles and teeth to help them hunt and also evolved specialized claws for dealing with the ice along with wide paws for moving around the snow, like the Veykx'u, saber-tooth thanators have special pads on their feet to help them walk across the snow more easily.
Hunting method: Saber-tooth thanators prefer a more ambush strategy when it comes to hunting. These predators would spread out and surround its prey before getting close enough to attack. If the ambush method had somehow failed, saber-tooth thanators will chase down their prey and use their saber-teeth to bite at the flanks of their prey to gut it and start eating it alive. Lone saber-tooth thanators will use their saber-teeth to tear chunks off of bigger prey or create deep enough wounds to make their prey bleed out. They will usually go after smaller prey by stalking and pouncing, going for a fatal bite to the neck.
Behavior: Like modern lions, saber-tooth thanators hunt in prides of 6 to 60. With a social structure resembling closely to modern wolves.
(Meaning that the pride is led by a breeding pair)
Saber-tooth thanators will alloparent newborns to three month old cubs during hunting trips, often leaving three babysitters to watch the newborns and cubs that are up to three months old. Any cub that is older than three months old is old enough to join the pride on hunts. When males and females reach sexual maturity, they often leave on their own to find their own territory or are chased out the breeding pair's territory when the pride starts to have too many members in it. Saber-tooth thanators are naturally wary of na'vi and tend to stay away from them.
Saber-tooth thanators that live in the subarctic region are more solitary than the ones that live more far north, as they don't have to deal with much competition with large carnivores.
In Na'vi culture: The fur is used for parkas, and their saber-teeth are used to make weapons and knifes or decoration. The meat is quite delicious and is mainly used in celebrations. The saber-tooth thanator is considered a very respectful hunter and has many songs and dances to honor them. The Veykx'u believe that the saber-tooth thanator represents the ability to face and overcome challenges, fierce determination, and unwavering focus and teamwork. There is a folktale about a child who was lost during a blizzard and was returned back to their clan by a pride of saber-tooth thanators.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Wendigo.
Na'vi name: Nawm herwìtarnioang - "Great snow predator"
Habitat: Arctic tundra.
Skin: Jet-black.
Fur color: Males have whitish gray fur while females have pure white fur.
Height: 20ft {6.096 m} 25ft {7.62 m} When standing up.
Weight: 1,600 kg {3,527 ibs}
Length: 36 ft {10.9 m}.
Eye color: Dark brown to pitch black.
Anatomy: Wendigos have two sensory quills at the base of their head and a square shaped mouth with large tusk like teeth. It has an excellent sense of smell up to 40 miles {64 km}. Wendigos have layers upon layers of pure muscle, which helps with their strong, powerful legs for running and slashing at prey with their claws. Their claws are designed to keep their grip on the ice. They have incredibly thick tough, layered armored skin. Making them completely bulletproof and almost completely impossible to penetrate, which the armored skin gets more tougher the longer the wendigo lives for. They do have one weakness, though; the Veykx'u had found that a clean shot to their operculum, located on it's lower neck will kill the wendigo.
Behavior:  Wendigos are solitary apex predators, often hunting prey as big as the offspring/elderly of the woolly hammerhead sometimes showing a more opportunistic behavior as they have been known to scavenge carcasses after blizzards and when the situation calls for it. Mothers are attentive, frequently touching and grooming their twin offspring.
When mating, pairs will seek out each other and both male and female will often try to intimate potential competitors by showing their tusks and if one of them haven't back down, they will engage in a fight, which one of them will try to pin the other one on their back. The victor of the fight will gain breeding rights.
Mating pairs will remain together for one week or more, mating several times. Aggression occurs between males during the breeding season and when males attempt to steal food caught by others and rivalry territory disputes.
In Na'vi culture: It is a rite of passage to be seen as an adult in the clan by hunting a wendigo and bringing back proof of the hunt.
Its teeth and claws are used for songcords, necklaces, and ceremonial outfits. While the tusks are used for the attire of the olo'eyktan. The hide of the wendigo is used for parkas and other outfits so they wouldn't be worn out or destroyed so easily.
Wendigos play vital roles in subsistence, spirituality, and art, appearing prominently in traditional stories and spiritual beliefs of the Veykx'u. One of these stories tells about an elder who adopts and raises a wendigo cub as their son. Due to the wendigo's armored skin becoming more tougher as it ages, tsahìk Wuänä te Amäfä Fangtxeyra'ite once faced down an elderly wendigo which she had dubbed as: Tìterkuptìranìì (meaning death walker), as the armored skin prevented the huntress from killing the creature, makeing the creature take multiple blows from her weapons. Tìterkuptìranìì would be used in several songs, dances and stories.

Polar whipfang.
Na'vi name: Tìloho'eko Txumtem - "Surprise attack poison shoot".
Habitat: Subarctic tundra.
Skin: Pure white with whitish-grey highlights.
Height: 8'4ft {2.54m}.
Weight: 280 kg.
Length: 17'6 {5.33m}
Eye color: Pitch black
Anatomy: A small but stocky creature, its body is protected by a thick, reptilian skin, and a prominent shell. Large, but lightweight, this sturdy shell covers most of the body. The creature can lift this shell with its powerful tendons, appearing to double in size. The venom that the polar whipfang can produce, is a contact poison that absorbs through the skin of its victim.
Behavior: Staying low to the ground, it creeps through the snow, staying out of sight until it is close enough to strike, relying on ambushing hunting and deploying its fangs like their relative, the whipfang crawler. The polar whipfang often prefers to travel in deep snow where its camouflage will most be in use, often burying its shell, expect for their head in the deep snow.
While usual a solitary hunter, polar whipfangs will hunt in small packs of up to five individuals during blizzards, where they have more of the upper hand or when times have become harsh enough for them to group up. They use vocalizations and pheromones to communicate with the members of the group to take down much larger animals, showing some advanced pack tactics. Polar whipfangs can also use its strong jaws to attack, while remaining protected by the plates that run all along the top of its body.
In Na'vi culture: The Veykx'u harvest the sacks located beneath the creature's neck to create medicines for their people and poison for their arrows. Na'vi will carve out their shells to make drums or large bowls. While the fatty meat of the polar whipfang is used as a main ingredient in meals.

Arctic direhorse.
Na'vi name: Herwìpa'li - "Snow direhorse"
Habitat: Northern tundra/subarctic
Skin: Grayish black with bioluminescent indigo and glacier blue stripes
Fur color: White
Height: Approximately 16 ft {4.8m}.
Length: Approximately 4.25 meters.
Weight. 1,200 lbs (544.3 kg).
Anatomy: Arctic direhorses live in the cold climates of the subarctic regions and the northern tundra. Unlike their jungle counterpart, they had evolved a short thick coat of white fur. Like their jungle counterpart, the arctic direhorse has queue, undulating constantly and seek out the antennae of other direhorses as they move near to transfer information about food sources and potential dangers to other herd members. Herds often move in unison shortly after touching antennae.
Behavior: Arctic pa'lis travel in herds in the thousands and acting as pollinators, thanks to their extremely long tongues. Arctic direhorses will travel over thousand of miles to the next feeding area. These creatures can maneuver through the deepest snow very easily and can reach top speed very quickly.
In Na'vi culture: The Veykx'u use the arctic direhorse during when they are living at Syawn'ftueywa and mainly for hunting and pulling more heavy sleds and have been used to pull basket like sleds if a na'vi doesn't have a snowy banshee.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Pachyrhinsturmbeest.
Na'vi name: Kxumontu laktalioang - "Thick nose shell sturmbeest" or just: Kxumontu - "Thick nose"
Taxonomy: Pachyrhin monocerii - "Thick-nosed blue cow."
Habitat: Arctic and subarctic regions.
Skin: Black, winter blue, and stripes of white.
Height: 28 ft - 44 ft.
Length: 38 ft.
Weight: 4,000 pounds.
Anatomy: Belonging to the same family group as sturmbeests. Has an overgrown mass of bone called a “nasal boss” above its eyes and nose, which transitions into a large nasal crest. Hornlike jaw extension acts as a plow for digging up vegetation and breaking through snow. They also have dual side horns that replace the upper hornlike extension
They have a very thick and unbreakable form of chitinous back armor that goes all the way down to the head to protect its back and head from predators. The back armor also acts as a form of insulation. The creature has bioluminescent patterns on the ridge and both sides of the body.
The male (or 'bull') is larger than the female and has a large ridge bone on its back, which male ridge bones are bigger than females. Their brain-mass-to-body ratio is low, and the creatures are slow to react and slow to stop reacting.
Behavior: Extremely social and can be found in herds. They are also territorial and will attack against any would-be predator. When attacked, the adults will either encircle the young and present a formidable front of horns that is effective against predators. Or, burst into a stampede and break into smaller packs for evasion, when the threat is too large or in too great a number. They have been known to migrate to the subarctic tundra for breeding and calving
In Na'vi culture: Is a vital source of sustenance, clothing, shelter, and tools, and extol the virtue of the animal in textiles, music, song, dance, and art.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Woolly bladehead.
Na'vi name: Kxaylkxa
Habitat: Arctic tundra.
Skin: Blue, brown and small hints of orange
Height: 27.5ft {8.40m}
Weight: 10 tons.
Length: Up to 16m.
Eye color: Dark hazel.
Anatomy: Large rhino-like animals, Well-armored and has few predators. Its head and mouth are shaped to maximize its capacity to break shells of the toughest fruits, resulting in the mouth being curiously situated above the eyes. Its operculum is located much more higher up than the bladeheads found in the upper plains. It has hair like scales that keep them warm in the cold climate, giving them great insulation. These hair scales have a very shaggy look to it and grows in layers under the armor to develop guard hair.
Behavior: Often living a more solitary lifestyle. The woolly bladehead has keen eyesight and hearing. When threatened, by large predators it lowers itself to the ground where it is protected by its enormous backplate, making it almost impossible to tip.
The plow-like head is highly efficient in pushing through the most deepest of snow and can even use their head to dig up food through the snow. It can also be applied aggressively. A charging bladehead can wreck and flip vehicles, and destroy AMP suits with its considerable body mass. Unlike the other herbivores that migrate to the subarctic for the later seasons, woolly bladeheads stay all season round thanks to the fat reveres that the woolly bladehead makes over the eariler seasons and their shaggy hair like scales that keep them warm over the later seasons.
In Na'vi culture: Woolly bladehead figures are made for the use of didactic tools to teach valuable lessons about Veykx'u culture and traditions. They are seen as powerful creatures, often representing strength, resilience, and courage through the stories, dances, and songs that is shared among the clan.

Tundra hexapede.
Na'vi name: Yerik
Habitat: Arctic and sub arctic tundra
Skin: Snowy blue
Height: 14.6ft {4.45m}
Length: 3.4ft {1.03m}
Width: Around 10m.
Eye color: Black and yellow
Anatomy: The arctic hexapede shows a very close resemblance to their jungle counterparts. Like their counterpart, they still have their retractable fan structures. Their eye pattern have bright colors with little spikes that poke out around the fan, severing as a defense mechanism. Tundra hexapedes have adapted specialized ribs and muscles in their neck that can be pulled outward to create a hood which can also be used alongside their fan to make them look bigger. The hood also helps with keeping their body warm and is used in mating rituals. Arctic hexapedes have been observed using their hood to release a scent that warns others of danger. Unlike the regular hexapede, tundra hexapedes have two long prong-antlers that are flattened and project forward. These antlers are used to scrape snow and soil for food.
The hexapede's feathery scent organs are covered in small fuzz and are fairly more smaller than regular hexapedes. They can also use their scent organs to tell which direction food and predators are.
Their eyes are wide-spaced and large, and they have sloped snouts that end in a small bifurcating jaw and bifurcated lip that can be retracted. A dewlap of skin hangs under the jaw and runs the length of the neck. The snout can also function like a respirator, warming and humidifying inhaled air. Twin lines of thick insulated dark, hair like bristles run down the back. A long, thin neck and legs ending in round, beveled wide hooves
Behavior: These docile creatures appear to have little hostility either among their own herd or in the presence of a predator. They are only moderately fast runners, although they can weave, bob and turn with ease through the snow. They travel in herds estimated to be around 758,100. Due to the hexapede's rapid breeding, females can store around hundreds of fertilized eggs in their uterus and will go through at least 200 calves during the entire calving season as arctic hexapede calves can survive by themselves after a week of being weaned which results in colonies of youngsters that often branch out from their parent herd.
In Na'vi culture: The hexapede is one of the main food sources of the Veykx'u. The Veykx'u actually have a strict hunting rule that forbids any hunter to hunt any of the young colonies. Their skins are used for clothing and instruments, while their fan structures are used for decoration and their hoods are used for medicine bags.

Woolly Hammerhead.
Na'vi name: Nikre'angtsìk - "Hairy hammerhead."
Taxonomy: Woolly Hammerhead Mammutitanothus
Habitat: Arctic tundras.
Skin: Pale gray.
Fur color: Cream-colored with smoky gray.
Height: 42 ft {12m}.
Length: 72 ft {21m}.
Weight: 22 tons.
Eye color: Dark yellowish-orange.
Anatomy: Similar to the Hammerhead titanothere, except they have two pairs of tusks that twist like a corkscrew. The left and right tusks twist in opposite directions. These tusks are located under the hammerhead structure. The woolly hammerhead has hair like scales that keep them warm in the cold climate, which get longer as they age, giving them great insulation. These hair scales are very soft to the touch and grow in layers to develop guard hair. The wooly hammerheads have a soft hair on their underbelly, which the guard hairs start to grow around to protect it's vulnerable underbelly.  They can store food in it's stomach and it use it later for energy, which can help during long journeys. They have four eyes that have a third eyelid to block out snow during snowstorms.
Behavior: Woolly Hammerheads travel in large herds, which can consist of 16-200 individuals. Herds are led by matriarchs, like modern elephants. They are non aggressive creatures towards the local na'vi, which they have a mutualism symbiotic relationship with. They often uses their hammerhead to push away the snow to get at the buried vegetation and use the knobs at the ends of their hammers to knock food off of trees or just break down trees to get access to the more higher up fruit. They use their tusks for defense, dig around for food, and fight one another for territory and mating.
In Na'vi culture: The woolly hammerhead is highly respected amongst the Veykx'u clan.
The Veykx'u use them as mounts and built mobile home platforms on their backs that can be easily removed. During the time that the clan spends the season at Syawn'ftueywa, the Veykx'u have their huts removed from the woolly hammerheads and let them roam the near by forests to give birth and watch over their young.

Tundra devil.
Na'vi name: Pxi'utraltsyìp txal - "Sharp bush back".
Habitat: Arctic tundra.
Skin: Black and bright bioluminescent stripes.
Height: 2 feet {24 inches}
Weight: 40 to 70 lb
Eye color: Both eyes are pitch black
Fur color: White and dark brown with a bright bioluminescent stripe pattern going down its back
Anatomy: Thick, stocky body with short legs. Tundra devils have short quills that surround its body. The quills and fur can poof up when threatened and extend to a longer length. These extended parts of the quills are coated in a psychoactive venom, and also work as insulation. Tundra devils have large paws and strong claws that are designed for digging through snow and ice, they also use their claws to build burrows and dig holes to create a "freezer" for storing food. Due to their thick bodies, tundra devils have the ability to twist their heads around and bite their attacker even when gripped. Tundra devil's also have a special anus pouch that is used for defense.
Behavior: These creatures live a fearless solitary lifestyle, quite known for their tenacity and aggression even sometimes challenging much larger predators or just about anything that comes in close proximity to them. They will often use their quills as a threat display and will turn their anus pouches inside out and prolapsing it, creating a extremely foul and disgusting liquid and odor and charges at their opponent until they back off. Tundra devils have been recorded to be opportunistic feeders and have been shown to be primarily nocturnal and to act fiercely when defending their territories.
Communication: Tundra devils communicate through raspy screams, shrieks, growls, snorts and grunting vocalizations. Which ironically gave the creature it's name as the calls reminded RDA scientists of the earth Tasmanian devil.
In Na'vi culture: Tundra Devil quills are used for dream hunts, and their anus pouches are used by shamans for rituals. Their meat is often versatile and delicious with a gamey after taste.

Direseals.
Na'vi name: Apxasre' - "Large tooth".
Habitat: Arctic, subarctic, and the arctic pack ice.
Skin: Almost black to almost blue with hints of silvery-gray-cinnamon-brown on the flanks. The muzzle, throat, and belly are light grey scattered with dark grey and black spots.
Fur color: Counter-shaded with a silvery-gray-cinnamon-brown to dark gray blend and a distinctive spotted "leopard" coloration pattern dorsally.
Height: Females: 4.6 ft (1.40 m) - 21 ft (6.4 m). Males: 26ft (7.9 m) - 34.67 ft (10.5 m)
Length: Females: 19 ft (5.8 m) - 30 ft (9.1 m). Males: 16 ft (4.8 m) - 37 ft (11.2 m).
Weight: 2,250 kg (females) 5,350 kg (males).
Anatomy: Long thick bodies that have extremely thick layers of a blubber like substance that works suspiciously close to how blubber that earth animals have. Direseals have four long upper canine teeth that grow throughout their lives. The outer tusks will grow as the inner tusks will be used as backups in case the outer tusks are broken. They use their tusks for many purposes, including establishing social dominance, fighting, and hauling themselves out of the water. Males tend to have longer, straighter, and stouter tusks that can grow to 200 cm (78 inches), while females can grow their tusks to 160 cm (62 inches).
They have broad, tapered, square almost reptilian heads with two long queues that can shrink down to protect them during combat and long snouts and massive jaws. Adult male direseals have a large, inflatable proboscis (snout) that they use to amplify their vocalizations. When not using their inflatable snout, it will deflate and retract into the direseal's head where it would be protected from attacks. Like modern walruses, direseals have large bumps that cover the neck and the shoulders. Their operculum closes up when they are in the water.
They have long, large fore-flippers and can curl their back flippers under their bodies to walk on all fours. Direseals have the unique ability to make their flippers legs; after getting out of the water to rest, their flippers will soon start to dry up, making their flippers spread out more and exposing their claws. Once the claws are fully dried up, direseals can maneuver more easily. This can also work in reverse; as a protective layer of skin will cover the claws back to flippers when direseals enter the water to look for food. Direseal claws are long and curved to help them keep them from sliding around on the ice and help groom themselves. Direseals use sinuous whole body movements, rather than relying heavily on their flippers as a way of swimming through the icy waters.
Behavior: Direseals mainly stay on the beaches and the ocean sea ice. During mating season, males fight over the best breeding spots by using their weight and canine teeth to rake each other's necks. Fights can last for hours and end up being very, very bloody but are rarely fatal. They may go into torpor during the day to conserve energy.
Direseals lie in close body contact with each other to conserve heat. This behavior may also help with molting. They establish dominance through threat displays, body size, and tusk length. The main diet of direseal primarily consists of Pandoran fish, bivalves, cephalopods, crabs, aerial fauna, and nalutsa. But has been known to feast on vegetation when food sources are low. Direseals use their queues to search the ocean floor for food and  can detect subtle changes in water currents and pressure caused by the movement of prey.
Communication: They communicate using vision, sound, touch, and chemicals. Males use a coughing roar to recognize each other and assess size. They are known to vocalize underwater during the earlier seasons. These sounds are thought to be part of a long-range acoustic display to attract mates or establish territory. During the mating season, they use sounds like knocks and loud whistles to attract a mate.
In Na'vi culture: The Veykx'u hunt direseals for their meat, which is used as an ingredient in one of the celebratory meals that the Veykx'u make. Direseals provide the Veykx'u meat, fat, and hides for clothing, tools, instruments and housing. Tusks are used in carvings, various tools, and are carved into figures for story telling and several toys of different animals to familiarize children with the animal.

Tree of Spirits.
Na'vi name: Tirea utral - " Spirit tree".
Location: The location of this tree is shrouded in mystery as there are few na'vi who have braved the devastating blizzards that seem to appear each time that a na'vi have went searching for the tree, and survived.
Appearance: From what the stories say, the tree of spirits is a special type of willow tree covered in layers of frost and thick ice, with the carvings of the past tsahìks that have made the journey. While standing under the tree will show that the outer layer of tendrils are frozen solid and will shimmer and glow, creating a grand display of colors and lights. While the inner area is surrounded around by unfrozen tendrils.
Cultural significance: Legends say that spirits live inside the tree, awaiting to be reborn once more, no one knows what exactly the spirit will be reborn as, which many have guessed that a spirit will be reborn as an animal or be reborn back into the clan. The legends also say that Eywa had made an endless blizzard to ward off any traveler that nears the tree and that only the wisest and experienced tsahìk can guide newly couples to the tree in order to bond and mate in front of Eywa as it seemed that a blizzard/snowstorm appears every time that a na'vi have approached near the location of the tree.

Dwarf tree of spirits.
Na'vi name: Hì'i tirea utral - "Small spirit tree".
Location: These plants are located on the snowy mountains and grow near cliff ledges.
Appearance: Unlike its legendary namesake, the dwarf tree of spirits is a smaller version of the tree. It has a more short bush shaped tree with strong roots to protect it from the strong winds and have shorter tendrils draping down from it.
Cultural significance: Since this plant is located in slightly more of a safer place and it has been used by na'vi couples. The tree was discovered by a hunting party that was searching the mountains and had found that the small tree worked the same way as the tree of spirits and soon became a viable alterative for na'vi couples who wanted to bond and mate before Eywa.

Cocoa plum fruit.
Na'vi name: Tsyoklìt tskxepaymuaì. - "Chocolate ice fruit".
Habitat: Arctic tundra.
Height: 32 ft {9.7 meters}.
Length: 384 inches.
Appearance: A large tree that grows in large clusters of forests all around the Pandoran arctic. They grow a white fruit, baring purple to dark red, to pink. The fruit resembles the shape of the earth cocoa bean. When the fruit has ripened, it will produce an outer fuzzy like coat.
Cultural significance: The taste of the fruit is sweet and is often used as a dessert in celebrations. The fruit is also used in a very popular dessert called: "Kalinwusto" meaning sweet dinner. Some avatars that have tasted it, have noted that the fruit almost tastes like fortune's fruit and a mix of chocolate.

Pandoran arctic mossy bush.
Na'vi name: Kalin utraltsyìpzet - "Sweet bush treat"
Habitat: Arctic tundra.
Length: 2.4 centimeters long.
Height: 4ft.
Appearance: The shrub has deep fruit that is buried deep in the snow to absorb water to make the tough, yet soft protective layers of mossy leaves.
The fruit is a light purple with icy highlights, with a very thick outer shell. The fruit has a oval shape with a white, fleshy pulp inside. The pulp is described as having a similar taste to banana fruits and is full of nuts which has a sweet, yet sour taste
Cultural significance: This plant is used as a food source and due to the fruit being buried deep within the snow, the Veykx'u will dig out the fruit and use the fruit in meals while using the moss as seasoning, bedding, or to make toys.

Spiny fruit.
Kalinngrr - "Sweet root"
Habitat: Arctic tundra.
Length: 4 to 6 feet wide {vegetable} 15.6 - 60ft {tree}.
Height: 36 inches tall {vegetable}. 80 ft {tree}.
Appearance: Kalinngrrs grow in clusters on short trees that have the uncanny ability to enclose their leaves to form a hard exterior to protect it's vulnerable interior, exposing it's sharp spines which are located all around the tree and the spines are even located on and in between the leaves of the tree. The hardened exterior and spines are a defense mechanism against herbivores and it can also store water in its tissues so it can make more kalinngrrs and tracks the sun, maximizing heat collection for reproduction.
Kalinngrrs have a tough leathery skin with a spikey exterior. Kalinngrrs are naturally sweet with a hint of nuttiness. They are also described to have a tangy taste to it sometimes.
Cultural significance: The Veykx'u use many parts of the tree, the leaves can be harvested and can be ground up and used as herbs.
In Veykx'u culture, kalinngrr symbolizes hospitality and welcoming, even fertility and is used mostly as a go-to meal for having guests or family over and is a main ingredient in kalinwusto. Kalinngrsr have also been known to grow near Syawn'ftueywa as the warmer temperature makes the plant make more fruit than they usual would.

Pandoran arctic lichen.
Na'vi name: Tskxe spxam - "Rock fungus"
Habitat: Arctic tundra.
Length: 16 inches {40. 64 cm}.
Height: 12 inches {30.48 cm}.
Width: 36 inches {81.28 cm}.
Appearance: Large, foliose lichen like moss that is goldish-purple when dry and bright green when wet. The lower surface is bright icy blue at the edges and darker purple towards the center with a reflective thallus surface, physiological mechanisms for photosynthesis. They can absorb water from saturated air and from snow and can enter a dormant state when conditions are too harsh, conserving energy until conditions improve. The moss also produces a mushroom like fungi that has hallucinogenic properties. The lichen is also a main food source for many different herbivores in the northern pole of Pandora. This mushroom has many shiny, bubble shaped nodules on its cap to which these nodules will get bigger over time when fermenting.
Cultural significance: Pandoran arctic lichens are used to make clothing and dyes of various colors. The lichen is also used for medical purposes; it has been used as a remedy, aliment, and has antibiotic properties.
During the time when the Veykx'u were transitioning between living on the beaches and moving further inland, many young na'vi had accidentally became addicted to the hallucinogenic mushrooms that the lichen provides, until the tsahìk had put a stop of overconsumption of the mushroom and is only used for the Veykx'u version of the dream hunt.

Okay. Y'all's clothing game to the new cyberpunk reality needs some work.
First thing you're going to do: you are going to find yourself the following items:
Undershirts, 100% cotton.
Dress protectors. They go in your armpits. They are not strictly for dresses. They can go on any sleeved garment.
Boxers, 100% cotton, the kind that extend down your legs.
These are your barrier garments. You live in a cold climate? Your barrier garments are thermal underwear.
A shirt you wore over an undershirt? Does not need to be washed unless you wear it two more times OR it has been visibly stained or sweat-marked. If you live and work in a place with air conditioning, this won't be much of an issue. Getting sweaty all day? Well, laborers of yesteryear had the same laundry burden as you do, then. Take comfort in that.
Pants? Same rule. Three wears per wash unless it goes dirty.
Linen went out of fashion a loooong time before the plastic fabric era, mostly due to the explosion of cheap cotton coming out of America prior to the civil war and the industrial revolution running with it. Cotton is still your cheapest natural fiber, followed by cellulose fibers like rayon, woolen materials, and THEN linen.
TL;DR, barrier garments still exist, they're now called undershirts/camisoles and boxers.
"hey why are all the barrier garments like linen shirts or chemises or combinations going away?"
"oh we have more washable fabrics now! you don't need to worry about sweat reaching your outer clothing when you can just chuck it in the washing machine!"
"cool!"
[100 years later]
"so uh all of those new washable fabrics are leaching microplastics into our water, and the constant machine-washing wears garments out faster. they're also not really sturdy enough to be mended, so we keep having to throw them out and now the planet is covered in plastic fabric waste that will never break down. also it turns out that the new washable fabrics hold odor-causing bacteria VERY well. so could we get those barrier garments back please?"
"sorry babe linen now costs $100000/yard and since it's been so long without them, nobody knows how to adapt barrier garments to the current styles anyway"
"..."
"maybe try this new $50 undershirt made of Special Sweat-Wicking Plastic Fabric! :) :) :)"

Types of Architectural Cladding and Their Unique Benefits
Enter the world of architectural cladding, where buildings get their wardrobe. Here, cladding is not just a skin; it’s the armour, the aesthetic, the attitude.
In modern architecture, cladding serves as both protector and performer. It fends off the weather. It hides imperfections. It enhances energy performance. It creates texture, shadow, and tone. It tells stories.
But do you know how many types of architectural cladding you can find? Let us discover it now.
1. Timber Cladding – Nature’s Favourite Costume
Timber cladding hums with earthy charm. It gives buildings a warm, organic soul. Architects love it, homeowners adore it, and passersby stop and stare because it exudes raw appeal. Its further benefits include -
It responds to moisture.
It evolves in colour.
It adapts to temperature.
No two panels look the same.
That’s the beauty of it.
Cedar and spotted gum are favourites in Australia. They resist termites and rot, and age gracefully. Over time, they develop a silver sheen that becomes their badge of honour.
Timber cladding also performs thermally. It insulates well, reducing the need for heating and cooling. It also contributes to a calm, energy-efficient interior.
But timber needs love. It needs regular oiling. It needs inspection. Without care, it warps or fades. So, for those who embrace its quirks, timber rewards with character.
2. Metal Cladding – Industrial Glamour in Panels
Metal cladding screams modernity. It reflects power. Architects use it to create bold lines and fearless facades. Its benefits include -
Fire-resistant
Handles harsh climates
Lasts for decades
Maintenance is minimal
Occasional cleaning keeps it pristine.
Aluminium dominates the scene. It is lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and comes in countless finishes. From brushed bronze to matte black, aluminium offers flexibility.
Zinc, steel, and copper also enter the stage. Zinc adds an ultra-modern twist. Steel shouts strength. Copper steals the show with its rich, ever-changing tone.
3. Brick Cladding – Timeless and Tough
Brick cladding never goes out of style. It carries history in every inch. Its texture speaks of resilience, and its form radiates balance. Unlike solid brick walls, brick cladding uses thin brick slips. These apply easily over structural frames. That saves weight and speeds construction.
This cladding works for both contemporary and classic designs. Architects choose it for its reliability. Builders choose it for ease of installation. Clients choose it for charm.
Brick cladding resists fire. It withstands wind. It laughs at moisture. It also insulates well. Thermal mass keeps interiors comfortable year-round.
4. Stone Cladding – The Luxury of Earth
Stone cladding whispers elegance. It elevates any façade and brings the drama of cliffs and caverns to urban landscapes. Granite, limestone, and slate are popular choices. Each stone carries distinct hues and textures.
Granite means strength.
Limestone means subtlety.
Slate means sophistication.
Stone cladding delivers top-tier durability. But stone demands investment. It sits in the premium zone. Still, for prestige and permanence, stone is unmatched. Stone suits mansions, museums, and high-end commercial properties. When used indoors, it turns walls into art.
5. Fibre Cement Cladding – The Chameleon Material
Fibre cement cladding brings versatility. It imitates timber. It mimics masonry. It copies stone. Yet, it remains distinctly itself.
Made from cement, cellulose fibres, and sand, this cladding is durable.
It resists termites.
It resists fire.
It handles harsh weather.
It suits both horizontal and vertical installation.
Its installation and maintenance are also straightforward. Cost sits in the moderate range. This balance of performance and price makes it a favourite in suburban developments.
6. Vinyl Cladding – Budget-Friendly and Bright
Vinyl cladding brings affordability to the spotlight. Lightweight and weatherproof, it offers a quick facelift to tired homes. Available in many colours, vinyl never needs painting. It resists moisture. It stands up to salt air. It works especially well in coastal homes.
Though less durable than metal or stone, modern vinyl panels are stronger than their predecessors. Insulated versions also improve thermal performance. For renovations or investment properties, vinyl ticks boxes because installation is fast and costs are low.
7. Composite Cladding – Innovation Meets Style
Composite cladding combines materials for maximum performance. Wood fibres and plastic polymers fuse into durable planks. This cladding -
Resists fading
Resists scratching
Repels insects
Needs no sealing or staining
Stays vibrant for years
Designers use composite cladding to achieve sleek, timber-like façades. For schools, apartments, and modern homes, composite cladding balances function and flair.
8. Terracotta Cladding – Ancient Beauty, Modern Twist
Terracotta cladding connects the past to the present. Fired clay tiles wrap buildings in warmth and character. It suits bold façades and works beautifully in mixed-material compositions. With minimal maintenance, it endures for decades.
Popular in European design, terracotta cladding now shines in Australian architecture. It offers acoustic performance. It provides fire resistance. It delivers thermal regulation.
Choosing the Right Cladding – More Than Just Looks
Selecting cladding requires more than good taste. Climate matters. Budget matters. Building codes matter. Purpose matters.
In hot climates, thermal performance plays a role.
In bushfire zones, fire ratings take priority.
In coastal areas, corrosion resistance is key.
Maintenance expectations also influence choices. Some owners want low-touch solutions, but others embrace hands-on care. Either way, the decision must balance aesthetics with practicality.
Plus, let’s not forget sustainability. Many cladding materials now come with green credentials. Recycled content. Low emissions. Long life cycles. Every panel tells a story.
Conclusion
Architectural cladding is not mere decoration. It shapes identity, defines mood, and sets tone. Every choice speaks. Whether designing a minimalist home or a towering commercial landmark, the cladding becomes the canvas.
So choose wisely. Choose boldly. Let your cladding do the talking. For further assistance with your architectural cladding, reach out to Claddco.
