Just finished watching 3rd Life!!!! I was a bit busy so I couldn't do it as quickly as I wanted to but I made it.

I watched Grian's pov as you suggested and holy fuck was that a ride. I have Thoughts.

Grian and Scar. Scar and Grian. Those two shared a braincell and Grian had it for most of the series.

Grian I think had the most kills out of anyone by the end of it??? Guy really thought he could use Scar as an excuse to satiate his bloodlust without losing any lives. He was 100% correct.

Scar had a lot of kills too, didn't he? Especially in the Dogwarts war. Even if he is the goofy boss to Grian's competent right-hand man, it was nice to see him get down to business as well.

I'm focusing a lot on Scar and Grian here, but I would also like to give a shoutout to Jimmy for being the first person out. From what I hear it's pretty on-brand for him and it makes me think Scott was his Grian. For a second I thought it was Cleo tho.

The Battle of the Red Desert was painful to watch lmfao.... Scar pulled the lever, Grian. Wrong time tho.

Can't be good at building without being good at demolition. Grian really likes TNT, doesn't he. Just pray he never improves at redstone, I think it's best his traps stay broken.

I learned from a comment section that Impulse was killed for a clock that belonged to him in the first place. Rough going, buddy.

Scar's second death had me wheezing.... that's how you know he had some sort of plot armor on, no matter what Grian might say, cuz no way in hell did that guy become the first red name and stay alive for 2nd place.

That was the most Canadian fistfight I ever did see. Scar's muscles did not help.

Grian I see is associated with a bird sometimes? I don't know the reason for that but I find it interesting considering he killed himself by jumping off a cliff.

All in all....... yeah I really liked it!!! I have only watched Grian's pov tho, so if you recommend checking out any other POVs, I could do so. Not sure if I'll be able to watch any of the other Life seasons soon, as I might start dipping into, y'know, Hermitcraft/Empires (thanks to you, really!), but we'll see.

grian kills and maims and we love him for it. i love his maniacal laugh whenever he gets a good kill. like a cartoon villain.

scar is goofy and silly and also bloodthirsty. he's so much fun. he can go from himbo to terrifying red life so fast.

yup, very on brand. poor jimmy. scott is kind of his grian? he's definitely the green to his red, and smart to his stupid, but their vibes are pretty different from grian and scar. they're husbands rather than boss and right hand.

i cannot physically express how disappointed i was when the explosion didn't kill anyone.

impulse's death... oh i feel so bad for him. you could hear him starting to say bdubs' name as he died. i had to stare at the wall for like five minutes after that scene.

the only reason scar lasted so long was because of grian. if they hadn't teamed up, he would have died much quicker lmao.

grian is usually depicted as a parrot hybrid. i'm not sure why, i think it started as a hermitcraft fandom thing that bled into his other stuff. people often fannonized as birds falling to death is one of my favorite things. i can't get enough of it.

if you want to watch more povs, i would recommend martyn or scott. martyn's is good if you want to understand the dogwarts side of things, and scott's is just one of my favorites.

i haven't watched any hermitcraft myself, but i plan to one of these days. empires is one of my favorite smps, and really what got me back into mcyt. if you ever do get around to watching the other life series, i think you'd enjoy them!

You're enabling my ramble braincell by letting me do a top 10 list and for that I love ya ❤️ Okay okay here we go (I ranted about the first 3 eps a while ago so imma be real quick with them)

1. The Runaway Club: brilliant amazing perfect 👌👌👌 It's like they put all of my favourite candy favours in a jar!! Definitely my go to bobs ep at any time

2. The Oeder games: suuuch a good season finale 😭 We're getting Mr. Fischoeder and all these fun side characters along with Bob's glorious shining moments

3. Ex mach Tina: "oh it's a Tina & Jimmy Jr ep no wonder why you love it" yeah yeah yeah pffft. It's a super good and hilarious one too 😭 All the plots are so fun and god I'll never shut up about my boy's musoems

4. Yes without my Zeke: look, it's a Zeke & Jimmy Jr ep and you know I'd eat it up any day!! Their precious interactions from the beginning to the end just bless my heart ❤️ And it's a heist kind of ep sooo 👀👌 There's Frond, there's Branca and bam! Golden comedy! I like Randy's B plot and Arnold too :D My only issue would be that Tina's distaste towards Zeke is pretty ooc considering this is s9. A little injustice to their current dynamic I think

5. Mother daughter laser razor: best s3 ep? Linda & Louise interactions in the whole episode crack me up. Their little bond moment in the end though 😭. This is probably my favourite Logan & Cynthia ep too, they're so golden!! I LIVE for that Freaky Friday rant and the "Diiiie, Logan!" pffffft. And the B plot is so fun, Bob waxing his legs with Tina, letting Gene wax his legs and the little pep talk are both so funny and lovely!

6. The kids run away: probably my fav Louise episode :D Sooo many good lines. "Bribing Louise? We don't have that kind of money". I really love Gayle in this one. Like her apocalypse night rant? Pfffft. And her helping out Louise in the end ❤️ There's also Dr. Yap and the whole "SQUAAAT!" thing

7. Work hard or die trying girl: musical battles baby!! MUSICALS!! I love Gene & Courtney interactions in this one :D And you know I'd dig any ep where they manage to put these many Wagstaff kids together! They're all so perfect! Labonz's great, the ending play's great (actually no it's AMAZING), the outro's great! I'd kill for another episode like this one

8. Best Burger: good? So good? The whole fig store flashback itself is perfecta!! I fricking love the dialogues and voice acting in this one. How they address Gene's flaw and how it's kinda flipped to Bob's flaw too and how it's resolved during Gene's last minute delivery is 👌 Definitely one of their best moments. Super fun ep that's unexpectedly sweet :] Also Mickey and that drunk flashback scene pffffft

9. Bob Day Afternoon: why is this ep so fricking funny?? The legendary phone call bit is everything!! Mickey & Bosco are 👌. And Tina 😭 precious and hilarious as always. The family clinging onto Bob before he delivers burgers is both so funny and oddly sweet. Idk why I like it so much, I just pick this ep everytime I wanna go unwind mindlessly wheezing for 20 minutes pffft

10. Sea me now: my fav Teddy episode :] I don't think it's a masterpiece kind of ep but something about it just gives me looots of good vibes. The storyline is pretty fun, Teddy's arc is so lovely, and Tina's cellphone plot is so stupidly funny. I especially love the ending, always so heartfelt to me ❤️ (but it's Teddy so there're funny lines interrupting too pffft)

Week Five hobbit people are iconic. Scott's continued nonchalance reaction to most things and being competent as always. Jimmy proving that he does have a braincell during the Dogwarts alliance discussion. "My red can beat up your red." They're just so great. I want to pretend that nothing bad will happen to them, but everyone around them is killing each other and Jimmy is Jimmy.

The Hobbits are always iconic but they did pop off week 5 ngl. And honestly anon, valid.

hello! i didnt play dead by daylight very often but you're so right about the parallels. the bogeyman being the assigned killer role. everyone else scrambling to survive and the sheer chaos of it. and some of the survivors reflect the last life members i think but i dont know enough to elaborate on that ahah

YES YES YES!!! It's the way the season is divided into neat little sessions, the play area completely barriered off like they're in a shitty little terrarium, the progression from survivor to killer in not only the boogeyman role but also being a red lifer (since it's been hinted at for a LONG time that survivors who lose all hope either get discarded as husks or become killers themselves).

In trials you CAN talk to the killer and reason with them/sell your teammates out/sandbag the shit out of them, as well as get shit on by a skilled killer/red lifer or shit on an unskilled one. It's just that in both scenarios you're predisposed to distrust the big scary enemy rather than work with them since y'know. big scary can and will kill you given the chance.

Obviously there's contrast between the win conditions (teamwork is mf ESSENTIAL vs be the last one standing) but i just. AH.

also I wasn't even THINKING about the similarities between the survivors and last life members but now you've got me ticking.......

when it comes to intended role I feel like impulse has a similar role to dwight, at least in third life, making sure that his allies are fully supported rather than running around starting shit

speaking of starting shit, i'm thinking of maybe s1 grian/scar being a classic meg/nea or meg/ace duo, because while grian is skilled he only has two braincells to rub together and as we all know Ace Facts™ and Friendship Passes™ are one in the same concept (and ace is my main, so I may be biased)

In last life, at least, I feel like scott and pearl have a very 6k hour legacy prestige jake/claudette type vibe. they get shit done and they do it well, without being too flashy about it (at least so far), eventually their own downfall is their hubris and they'd die to like a rank 18 legion doing a daily lmfao

also jimmy is a baby dweet while s1 scott is like. a p3-50 feng min. it makes sense if you've ever played with a feng min. EXTREMELY reluctant altruism (but also they would die for the dweet)
