Keris were the continuation of Ys, after René Werneer exit the band to embark a solo career. The rest of the team brought a new member onboard, Patrick Molard, handling the bagpipes, flute and whistles.''Avel vor'' (1977, Philips), recorded with David Rose on violin and produced by Laurent Thibault, showed a turn towards a more electric and modern Prog Folk, which retained the qualities of Ys' tradition, but introduced also the band to a new era, which was characterized by delicate and well-detailed arrangements with more progressive colors and constant use of updated instruments. So, half about of the album is still rooted in a Celtic/Breton-styled Prog Folk with lots of bagpipe sounds, acoustic passages, mellow piano parts and troubadour-like vocals. The rest though is modern electric Folk Rock with refined arrangements and melodic content to the fore, based on light rhythmic tones, smooth keyboard deliveries and strong electric guitar.A good example of a non-static band. They were short-lived though with several members staying in the music business and Jacky Thomas being the only one to follow the hard path of proggy material, becoming a member of Ripaille and Michel Santangeli having also a short stint with the band.....~ Credits Bagpipes, Flute, Bombarde, Tin Whistle – Patrick Molard Violin – David Rose Vocals – Serge Derrien Vocals, Bass Guitar – Jacky Thomas Vocals, Drums – Michel Santangeli Vocals, Guitar – Pierre Chérèze Vocals, Keyboards – Pascal Stive Tracklist Avel Vor (Le Vent De La Mer) 3:15 La Fille De L'Aberdom 3:03 Le Voyage 3:34 Comme La Vérité 2:26 Looking Through The Past 1:48 Keris 5:08 Les Korrigans (3:42) Les Korrigans (Début) Notre Amour Est Une Légende Les Korrigans (Fin) Ça Doit Être Un Étranger 3:02 Petite Fille Dorée 4:43 Dis-Lui Que Je L'aime 3:18 O'Keefe's Place 3:20

Assigning Magnus Archives fears to Zeroes characters!
@flickersprout and I were talking about this, mainly because Thibault, Nate, and Flicker would fit so neatly as TMA avatars, so we assigned one or more fears to each of the main Zeroes
Nate/Bellwether- Spider. Both in power and personality no explanation required
Thibault/Anonymous- Lonely. I also don't really need to explain this. really similar powers to Martin too although at least Martin's aren't... constant
Flicker- Eye. For obvious reasons, and also I did see Elias' power and go 'oh hey like Flicker'. Also she totally has the Eye personality type, the curiosity, the investigative skills to find Thibault
Ethan/Scam- can be Spider, Stranger, or Eye... like a kind of terrible Eye avatar who doesn't have the personality for it, but given that the Voice is omniscient, that his inside-out power is much more knowledge based, and frankly that Jon's power is so much more focused on his voice than many other TMA characters... it would work
Chizara/Crash- Desolation, Extinction (if you believe it's a thing), or Dark. She has a similar energy to Manuela if a little toned down- fascinated by the light of human knowledge and technology, trying to learn more about it, but also so eager for some dark and quiet
Kelsie/Mob- Spider, or Corruption, in the sense of being focused on this positive human connection in a crowd and community that feels so good but can easily turn sour

¿Disciplina o docilidad?

The Trumpet
His trumpet is sitting at the foot of his bed, exactly where he had left it before boarding a dropship to Jabiim. After everything that happened, after everything they lost, it’s still here, unchanged and shining brilliantly in the otherwise grey room.
Obi-wan gently traces the bell of his trumpet. Weeks without practice means his tone will have suffered greatly, but that hardly matters. There’s no place in war for music.
And yet he can’t draw himself away.
Obi-wan tosses aside the datapad of paperwork he had intended to do. It can wait till morning. Everything can wait till morning.
He taps the valves of his trumpet, frowns when they stick, and retrieves a bottle of valve oil. The motions are practiced, precise, and relaxing in their familiarity. He’s done these same motions dozens, if not hundreds, of times.
But it feels different now. The trumpet doesn’t fit in his hand the way it used to. He isn’t preparing for a concert or performance with his friends. He doubts he will even be able to practice with them until after the war is over. If they even survive that long.
The first note he plays is airy and flat. It echoes in the small quarters, loud and out of place. It drowns out the constant hum of the ship’s engine and the whisper of the ventilation.
He stops.
The silence is worse now, somehow louder and quieter all at once. A darkness is creeping in, closing around his mind with the sound of dripping water. He is back in Ventress’s dungeon, trapped in a Sith mask, unable to breath, unable to even think. Alone in a crushing, endless darkness.
His grip on his trumpet tightens and he plays another note.
There was no music in Ventress’s dungeon. There would never be music in that palace of hers. The Force hung too heavy there and was too stained by misery and sorrow for creativity to exist.
The notes are stronger and surer now. The warm tones dance easily through a scale as his muscles remember how to play. Years of practice come back to him as he lets himself sink into his exercises. It is easy to let himself relax, to remember his days before the war when he had tried to convince Anakin to play trumpet.
Anakin, being Anakin, had chosen to play trombone just so he could poke Obi-wan with the slide whenever they practiced. He had been thrilled to find out Ahsoka played clarinet, putting her just within range of his slide when they played in an orchestra.
The three of them had received many dirty looks from Master Yoda for their antics during practice. The old master had always been far too formal during even the most informal of practice sessions. They weren’t part of the professional Jedi Order orchestra. None of the Jedi were there for any reason but to relax and enjoy themselves, so that’s what they did. They played bright and fun music. They traded instruments just to see what they would sound like. They wore ridiculous hats when playing for younglings. They laughed and played music just for the sake of playing music.
But they don’t have orchestra practice anymore.
The note goes flat. Obi-wan closes his eyes and sets his trumpet down. His chest aches. This war will break them. And even if they win, Obi-wan isn’t sure what will be left.

Cullen/Piper Lavellan: Nap Break
A tiny drabble for @schoute because I love her! Featuring Cullen Rutherbooty and Piper! 1346 words; read on AO3 instead.
**********************
Cullen quickly skimmed the letter in his hand. It looked like Josephine’s plan to court the Thibaults – by appearances at least, if not in practice – had gone well, and the Orlesian merchant family was now agreeable to allying with the Inquisition.
One small task resolved, he thought. He put the letter in the ‘finished tasks’ pile on his desk, then glanced at the pile of ‘tasks to be done’.
It was three times taller than the pile of finished tasks.
Cullen sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. He’d been reading letters and reports all morning following a vigorous training session in the yard, and he couldn’t quite tell if his headache was from the stiffness of his neck muscles travelling up to the base of his skull, or if it was just simple stress.
Frankly, he hoped it was stress. If the headache was from stiff muscles, he’d have to stretch more before training or seek assistance from the healers, and he didn’t have time for either.
He sighed once more, then picked up the next letter in the stack. It was from Maryden.
A soldier cares not for a poet's pain. Just go and fall upon your sword, you prat.
- Maryden
At the bottom of the letter, there was a postscript written in a different person’s handwriting – a scrawling and messy handwriting that nearly no one in the Inquisition was able to decipher.
I’ll fall on that long hard sword of yours anytime, Commander.
Cullen snorted. Piper, he thought wryly. She was such a terrible minx. He hoped that Leliana had read this letter before Piper got her hands on it.
He gazed fondly at Piper’s horrendous writing for another moment, then set the letter in the ‘finished tasks’ pile and moved on to a much more serious report about the trickle of darkspawn that were still plaguing the Storm Coast. Some time later, when someone knocked on the door, Cullen was so engrossed that he didn’t even look up from the report.
“Enter,” he barked. It had taken the blasted scribe long enough to come to his office. When the door opened, however, it wasn’t a scribe.
“Hi!” Piper chirped. “Don’t mind me, I’m not here, carry on!”
Cullen looked up, genuinely surprised to see her. Or he would have been surprised to see her, but she was halfway up the ladder to his bedroom by the time he raised his eyes from his report.
He watched as her patched breeches and bare feet disappeared into his bedroom. Startled and a little alarmed, he stood up and made his way up the ladder as well.
Piper was in his bed, completely buried under his blankets with only one dirty foot poking out. Worried now, Cullen strode over to the bed and gently squeezed her foot. “Piper, what’s the matter? What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” the blanket-covered lump said. “Why would you think anything’s wrong?”
He sat on the edge of the bed. “Because you’re hiding,” he said gently.
The blanket-covered lump scoffed. “I’m not hiding. I don’t hide. I’m taking a nap.” She pulled her bare foot under the blankets as well, obscuring herself completely.
Cullen raised his eyebrows. “But you don’t enjoy naps.”
“Sure I do,” she said. “Naps are so… restful. And, uh, full of sleep. And…”
Cullen waited with growing amusement. Then she tutted. “All right, fine, I don’t like naps,” she said. “But I’m having a nap now.”
“Right now?” he said.
“Yes,” she said belligerently. “Right now.”
“You’re… napping as we speak?” Cullen asked.
“Don’t be a smartass,” she scolded.
He rubbed his mouth to hide his smile, then carefully began peeling the blankets away from her. When he finally found her, her face was still obscured by the wild waves of her silvery hair.
He carefully smoothed her hair away from her face. “Did something happen?” he asked.
“No, of course not,” she said. “Everything’s great.” She smiled at him and started twisting a lock of her wild hair into a small braid – something she only did when she was stressed.
Of course she is stressed, he thought sympathetically. They’d just returned from Adamant Fortress two days ago, and Piper still had to decide how to deal with the Wardens. Not to mention the sudden influx of requests for help and alliances and coin and influence following the Inquisition’s victory – her victory.
Frankly, Cullen couldn't blame her for feeling overwhelmed. He was also dealing with the sequelae of the same overwhelming situation, after all.
Piper shot him a guilty look. “You can go back to work, you know,” she said. “I’m completely fine. You don’t have to waste your time up here. I’m going to leave in a few minutes, anyway.”
He stroked her hair again and glanced at the ladder. He really should return to his desk; he wasn’t quite finished reading that Storm Coast report, and a scribe was due to arrive at his door any minute.
He nibbled the inside of his cheek. Then he stood up and pulled off his gloves and gauntlets. He dragged off his boots and greaves next, then piled them carefully on the floor.
“What are you doing?” Piper asked.
He removed his mantle, then turned to the bed and playfully laid the mantle on top of her. “I’m taking a nap, too,” he said. He started unbuckling his chestplate.
Piper laughed. “What? Cullen, you never take naps. You hardly ever even sleep.”
“That’s true, unfortunately,” he said. “But I think I’d like to take a nap now.” He put his chestplate aside, then eased onto the mattress.
She chuckled and shifted over to make room for him. Once he was settled back against the head of the bed, she snuggled up to him and wrapped an arm around his waist. “Well well, this is nice,” she said. “Maybe naps aren’t so shitty and useless after all.”
He snorted softly and wrapped his arm around her slender shoulders. “This is rather nice,” he said. “Perhaps we should do this more often.”
Piper laughed, but the sound was slightly bitter. “Keep dreaming, Commander. There aren’t enough hours in the day for all the, ahem, ‘nap breaks’ I’d want to take with you.”
He smiled and playfully tugged a strand of her hair, but the melancholy subtext of her words was clear. They were both far too busy to spend considerable time lying around like this and relaxing together, what with his duties and her constant travels keeping them apart.
All the more reason to enjoy this precious moment of peace while they could.
He closed his eyes and breathed, enjoying the solid warmth of Piper’s slim body pressed against his own. Then he heard a knock at the door.
Piper tensed, and Cullen froze. The knock came again, followed by a deferential voice. “Commander? It’s Lorel, the scribe. Are you there?”
Piper shifted slightly. “I should–”
Cullen tightened his arm around her. “Wait a moment,” he whispered.
She stopped, and they both remained still for a long and breathless minute. When no further words or knocking came, Cullen relaxed back into the pillows.
Piper grinned at him. “Slacking off, are you? What a naughty commander you are.” She settled against him again, but this time she slid one leg over his to straddle his thigh.
He smiled as she shifted sinuously on top of him. “Some might think you’re slacking off as well,” he pointed out. “Which would mean that you, Piper, are being a very, um…” He cleared his throat self-consciously. “A very naughty Inquisitor.”
She laughed huskily. “That’s the best compliment I’ve heard all day,” she whispered, and she kissed him.
Cullen happily kissed her back. He and Piper might be cursed with precious little time together and far too many things to do. But for now, Cullen would savour this tiny slice of a reprieve.
For now, he would savour this tiny ‘nap’.

Shift Series: Bearly Married & Trust the Wolf // I Started Nervous And Ended Wanting More
So… there’s an author I had on my radar whose books I was dead excited for… but was also hella nervous about I feel like I got to know Zoe pretty well back in her blogging days so when she announced she’d disappeared in the blogosphere to write a book I was excited. And then when she emailed over a copy of them I suddenly got all kinds of nervous because what I about if I didn’t like it? Can there be anything worse than trying to break that news to someone? And then it was agreed that if I didn’t like it I’d read and we’d never speak of it again. I’ve probably got her all twisted about it actually because I got these books ages ago and I’ve said no words to her… well, these are all my thoughts. Good and bad. I am not going to avoid any negatives but I am so totally invested in reading the next book in the series so you know it’s not all bad.
Bearly Married (Shift #0.5) – Zoe Ashwood
Source: Author/Newsletter Genre: Paranormal romance My Rating:
Love is a great reason to marry someone, but so is desperation.
Alexandre Thibault needs to marry an heiress: his clan’s finances are decimated, and his cousin is challenging him for leadership. He has even found the perfect woman—a pure-blood bear shifter with a hefty dowry—though he never expected the attraction between them.
Christine Bergeron will do anything to escape her family home, though exchanging the city for the Canadian wilderness isn’t as easy as she’d imagined. Especially when she’s in danger of losing her heart to a man who might never love her back.
But as enemies threaten their family, Alexandre and Christine will risk everything to keep their safe haven.
Bearly Married is a prequel novella and it was released as a freebie for joining her newsletter but she sent a copy across in case I hadn’t grabbed it already. It was such an easy novella to read and whilst it had that annoying problem of leaving me wanting more it was in no way unsatisfying as a novella. It was a great introduction to the characters of Alexandre and Christine who play a more significant role in Trust the Wolf (although you have to wait for them so patience is a virtue).
This novella was the first time I’d read any of Zoe’s writing and like I said at the start, I was all kinds of nervous but I want in with an open mind and the writing style I liked. I didn’t instantly love either Alexandre or Christine. I was trying to figure out their world and everything which was happening and so whilst that was happening I wasn’t certain what to think of them. Especially as they come together in some weird archaic arranged marriage. But as I began to figure out their world and how things worked in this shifter realm I began to like them. Especially as you caught glimpses of how Christine is badass and will not take things lying down when her new husband she barely knows tries to stick in a role without any consultation and expects her to be happy with it. And when Alexandre accepts her push back without blinking an eye and actually praises her for it I figured I was going to like these guys.
They were a cute couple who had some crazy stuff going on considering the shortness of this novella. I lot of story was packed within its pages. I think my biggest grumble is I felt like a lot of the secondary characters didn’t get developed enough and I found myself needing more. I didn’t mind shifter culture wasn’t explained too in depth as this was just a prequel and that was to come, but I would have liked more… but that’s a grumble I have with all novellas. It was enjoyable and it did get me excited to continue with the series.
Trust the Wolf (Shift #1) – Zoe Ashwood

Genre: Paranormal Romance
My Rating:
You never forget your first wolf.
Emilia’s first encounter with Jason is memorable: it’s not every day you see a stranger change into a wolf. Her attraction to him is undeniable, but the secret he shares shakes the foundations of her life.
Jason’s need for Emilia unnerves him. It’s his job to report shifters without proper ID, yet he can’t make himself do it this time. The decision bites him in the tail when he discovers exactly who she is. He must keep his distance—or there will be hell to pay.
Their fates entwine when rogue shifters learn of Emilia’s identity and will stop at nothing to get to her. Emilia and Jason will have to fight together or risk losing everything.
But most of all? Emilia must learn to trust the wolf.
I’d enjoyed Bearly Married and I was intrigued by where Trust the Wolf would be going but I was still a touch nervous because a full-blown novel is a different kettle of fish to a novella. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, though. There are no doubts to be had about that. I mean, I am eager for the next book to be in my hands because of the little snippet at the end of the first book… it was nowhere near enough to satisfy my cravings.
I will begin with my grumbles to get them out of the way. They are minor things of the grand scheme of things but it did affect my enjoyment.
First off, I struggled to get a clear idea of what I felt like the main characters would look like. Now, I am not saying I have a specific person cast in a role every time I read a book, but I tend to have some kind of fuzzy image in my head as I’m reading. My fizzy image for this book was fuzzier than usual. Now, this is partially the way I read. I have a habit of unintentionally skimming as I read and so skip things without realising (this is especially confusing in sex scenes when you’re like how did they get in that position?) and so I often find myself going back and rereading a scene and this was something which did happen here. There was a description of characters but my brain did not process it and I skipped bits without realising but other books my fuzzy image still develops... I didn’t get that as much here and it bothered me as I read.
I also had some issues with the pacing, but this again a me thing. I didn’t get totally invested in the book until like 20% of the way and I could see some interesting storyline developing, but before that, I honestly didn’t know where the book was going. But then at 50%, it seemed to have stalled a little and I was like where’s my action? And then action happened, but it hit 80% and I was questioning where the action had gone again and wouldn’t if there would be a book that sort of fizzled out. But then I felt like I was on a bit of a rollercoaster to the end so I suppose I shouldn’t complain. I think I would have liked a more constant pace of story… but then I’ve probably complained in reviews before that the book was moving too fast and couldn’t keep up. I guess I can sometimes be fussy. This one didn’t hinder my enjoyment, but since I was never sure what path the book was going to take I was very aware of the pace of the book and it took me out of the story at times.
Like I said, it wasn’t all bad because I am making grabby hands at the second book and there was plenty which kept me reading.
First off, I liked Emilia. I admit, when I first started reading I thought she knew she was a shifter so it was fun to see her reactions to this whole new world which was revealed to her. And I loved that even when this whole other world was revealed there was never any doubt that she would still want her old life. There seemed to be a constant assumption in the shifter world that once you’re a shifter the human world would be forgotten and shifters would be #1 which grated. It was good to see Emilia speaking some sense and putting folks in their place. I have to say, because I read the novella first I was constantly trying to figure out how it connected with this book and so I sort of called it with Emilia’s heritage (why yes, I did high five myself) but I still wasn’t spot on so I really enjoyed seeing her heritage revealed and how that affected both her but also how other characters (namely Jason) saw her.
I was frustrated by Jason in the book, though. I was there enjoying Emilia’s shock and reactions to shifter society whilst wanting to shake Jason. The man was all kinds of hot and cold (and occasionally arctic) with how he was with Emilia and I just so did not have time for that. It was explained pretty well why he was bouncing back and forth with how he felt for Emilia but damn did I want to give the boy a shake and tell him to sort his head out or get lost because I do not have patience for folks being messed about and there was a touch of that at the start. Thankfully, he figured himself out sharpish before I got genuinely annoyed with him otherwise we would be having a very different discussion about my feelings for this book. It was written well his struggle with himself and you couldn’t hate him too much for it because there were reasons!
I have to say the best part of this book was the relationship between Emilia and Jason but especially the sexy times (without being weird). The romance was so strong, though! Like, I knew Zoe could write good romance from the novella but damn did it shine brightest in this book when she had more time to develop the relationship. From the sexual tension building between the pair in a shifter club to a mutual masturbation scene during their road trip right up to when they actually have their bow-chicka-wow-wow moment later on. All were written well and I may not have been fanning myself, but it was close guys. The romance and sex were written so well and there was no cringing (seriously, I’ve had folks use decidedly unsexy language which throws me right out of a book so this is important to note). One moment which clearly stood out for me was when Jason backed all the way off during a heated make-out session towards the start and the couple had banged into a wall or something and Emilia let out a sound which he interpreted as him hurting her as he was being too full on and she then reassured him that it was good and more would be appreciated. I love little moments like that because they feel genuine, but also I like to see couples in romance discuss their boundaries. I don’t need an alpha male dominating with his whips and chains, I want mutual respect and a demonstration that it’s a partnership. I think that moment both set the tone for their romance together but also demonstrated what kind of romance author Zoe is. She will not be writing overbearing alpha males and unbalanced sexual relationships where the male dominates and the meek woman is just along for the ride. She wrote a woman who knew her sexual pleasure and was not afraid to grasp it with both hands and so what she wants. Why is there not more of that in romance?
Now is it a romance review if I am not complaining about folks not using their words? Yeah, there were moments of miscommunication and withholding of information which was annoying because you just know that’ll blow up in their face later on, but instead of falling into the trap of using that as a plot device to push Emilia and Jason apart it actually brought them together. It made them both question what they wanted from the other but it didn’t break them! And another time Emilia had shifted into a bear and was wondering around and you questioned if the designated bad guys were going to get her because woman wondering around alone, feels like a plot device to get her captured and in need to rescuing (boring, because why would want another example of how women need rescuing when we totally don’t) but nope. She gets told she’s leaving shifter territory and to get her ass back in the opposite direction to stay safe. And she even does some rescuing of her own later on, because Emilia's a badass like that. I just felt like this book was refreshing in not falling into the usual plot device traps which can be boring and have you rolling your eyes.
Look, I enjoyed this book. I do still have unanswered questions, but the kind of unanswered questions you expect to see explored in later books. I enjoyed this book a whole lot, far more than I think even I realised when reading because I write this up into more coherent words (you guys did not see my original word vomit take on this book, it was 2000 words long and I wrote it in like half an hour). I am eager for more, especially from the small glimpse I got of Truth or Bear. I am hoping as I continue on my questions about shifter politics and the story behind the bad guys (called the Guard) and I’m hoping we get to see more of the characters I’ve grown to love in this book. Look, it’s a debut, I am not claiming there is perfection, but it’s showing strong potential for some good stuff. I still need to learn more about the shifter world because from what I saw I do not get why Emilia would want to join (they’re a touch controlling in their government) but I do think there is a really interesting world to explore and I can’t wait to return and see this world from a new perspective.
Have you ever read a book by someone you sort of knew and felt nervous about it? And have I convinced you this a series to check out and give a chance?

musicians that get constant stream on my Spotify
doing this cause I'm actually so bored. this is going to be a long post
5 Seconds of Summer (Australian)
I’ve loved these guys since their first album dropped and seeing them grow into these beautiful young men they are now fills my heart with so much love and pride.
Year I started listening - 2014
First song I listened to - She Looks So Perfect
First 2 albums have pop-punk vibes. 2nd album gets quite personal and has helped me through some shit. 3rd album is different but cool. Very vibey alt-pop stuff. EPs are very underrated.
All Time Low (American)
Whipped from the start. Probably the most unproblematic artist out there. Just a couple of boys who want to play their music and see their fans. Pure™️. On the final Warped Tour.
Year I started listening - 2017
First song I listened to - Dear Maria, Count Me In
All albums up to Don’t Panic are very pop-punk. Future Hearts is pop-punk but there was this idk growth thing and it was just somewhat different to its predecessors. Kind of the record where they grew out of the ‘whiny pop-punk sk8er bois’ and into more alt-rock. Last Young Renegade was very different. Some pop-punk tracks some alt-rock some completely different. Loved it nonetheless. New songs scream Dirty Work and I’m living for it. Dirty Work is also extremely underrated and everyone should listen to it.
Boy Hero (American)
A bit like the love child of Sleeping With Sirens and Panic! At The Disco. Idk how to describe it but it’s hell good.
Year I started listening - 2017
First song I listened to - How Far I'll Go (Cover). Rebel Flesh (Original song)
These guys have a whole bunch of covers. Self titled is pretty good. Also they like anime and they do twitch streams. Lead singer lowkey sounds like Brendon Urie. Got a powerful voice.
Bring Me The Horizon (UK)
Big British metal core band
Year I started listening - 2018
First song I listened to - Can You Feel My Heart
First album was deathcore then went to metalcore and got less heavy over time. Lots of people didn’t like the last album but I liked it. It was different but good different. Liked how they decided to play with new sounds. Also makes it easier to cover their songs.
Counterfeit (UK)
British rock band. Also surprise remember the guy who played Jace in the Mortal Instruments movie yeah well he’s the lead singer.
Year I started listening - 2018
First song I listened to - Lost Everything
Got a some EPs and the album is great. Should not be slept on.
Ed Sheeran (UK)
Ok everyone should know him or you’ve been living under a rock.
Year I started listening - 2011
First song I listened to - Give Me Love
First album was straight up acoustic singer-songwriter stuff. Cute and stuff. Next 2 albums experimented with sound and it was great. There’s at least 1 song on each album that will make you cry. Actually went to his concert for the divide tour and it was great. Very chill.
The Faim (Australian)
Alt-rock with some pop-punk influences in there. Fairly new band and went under the name of Small Town Heroes before the name change. Sounds a bit like Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy and All Time Low.
Year I started listening - 2018
First song I listened to - Midland Line
The EP Summer Is A Curse is out now and boy it is good. Just waiting for the album to be released. They wrote some tracks with Ashton Irwin, Mark Hoppus, Pete Wentz, Josh Dun and John Feldmann and Zack Cervini produced it. I have very high hopes for the album. Entire band has this amazing stage energy which is absolutely mesmerising to watch.
Fall Out Boy (American)
Once again if you have’t heard of them you’ve been living under a rock.
Year I started listening - 2016
First song I listened to - Immortals (bless Big Hero 6)
Extremely pop-punk before the hiatus. Went into some cool different stuff after hiatus. Mania was very different than their previous albums and I actually didn’t like it too much at first but I gave it a few more listens and I loved it.
Gang of Youths (Australian)
An Australian indie band. Different to what I usually listen to. Very chill.
Year I started listening - 2017
First song I listened to - The Deepest Sighs, The Frankest Shadows
Latest albums is amazing. All the albums have a mix of bops and sad songs so you never know what you’re going to be hit with. Great lyrics throughout. Talks about real life issues in a number of the songs, some personal to the band’s life.
Green Day (American)
You have been living under a rock if you haven’t heard of these guys.
Year I started listening - 2016
First song I listened to - Wake Me Up When September Ends
Before American Idiot was like underground punk rock songs. After American Idiot got some pop influenced melodies which got them into more mainstream rock. Bops, anger, sadness and overall feelings throughout. Broadway Musical version is extremely slept on and I saw the production and it is a masterpiece. Left me kind of breathless at the end.
Harry Styles (UK)
Living under a rock if you don’t know who this wonderful man is
Year I started listening - 2017
First song I listened to - Sign Of The Times
Super different from his 1D career. Has some old classic rock influences. Bops and sad songs throughout. Powerful voice and has an amazing stage presence. Media portrays him so badly when he’s actually such a wonderful human being.
I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME (American)
Ex Panic! member and ex Falling In Reverse member come together to make some cool different music. 2 beans chilling in a band together.
Year I started listening - 2018
First song I listened to - Choke
Music is kind of weird but cool. Bops throughout and should really release more music. Label company really needs to hurry up with whatever they’re doing cause the album’s finished but they haven’t released it.
Mayday Parade (American)
This band literally writes the saddest music known to humankind. Also unproblematic and everyone loves them. On the final Warped Tour.
Year I started listening - 2017
First song I listened to - Miserable At Best
First 3 albums are very pop-punk. Next 2 go into more alt-rock and pop-rock. Last album are a mix of both. It sounds pop-punk but still maintains that level of growth the band has gone through since the start of their career. Be prepared with tissues cause this band will make you cry.
Mike Shinoda (American)
The rapper dude from Linkin Park. Literally the only rap artist I listen to.
Year I started listening - 2018
First song I listened to - Crossing A Line
Latest album is super personal but a masterpiece. Raps are amazing and vocals are on point.
My Chemical Romance (American)
Should this even be on my list cause they’re not a band, they’re an idea
Year I started listening - 2016
First song I listened to - Welcome To The Black Parade
1st album was post-hardcore and somewhat depressing. Albums got less heavier over the years. Each album also has a different theme so there’s days where I feel like I need to listen to Danger Days and other days where I need to listen to The Black Parade. Also my music teacher likes them which really surprised me since he’s an old guy that likes to listen to jazz.
One Direction (UK)
Was a 1D fangirl and still is a 1D fangirl
Year I started listening - 2011
First song I listened to - What Makes You Beautiful
All of the albums are absolutely amazing. Got less pop over time. Lots of bops with some sadness thrown in which makes my heart hurt. Not afraid to bop to them in public.
Palaye Royale (Canadian)
Actually found them when CrankThatFrank did a video with them. Still waiting for the kazoo kid to perform with Satan’s Favourite Boy Band. Just 3 brothers who want to play some music. On the final Warped Tour.
Year I started listening - 2018
First song I listened to - Mr. Doctor Man
Boom Boom Room Side A is a quality album and I’m so hyped for Boom Boom Room Side B. Rock band that likes fashion and makeup. EPs have solid songs in them.
Panic! At The Disco (American)
Living under a rock if you haven’t heard of them.
Year I started listening - 2016
First song I listened to - I Write Sins Not Tragedies
Each album has a different vibe to it so it depends on what you feel like that day on what you listen to. Didn't really like Pray For The Wicked but gave it a few more listens and I love it.
Pierce The Veil (Mexican-American)
Post-hardcore band of Sexicans based in America.
Year I started listening - 2017
First song I listened to - King For A Day ft. Kellin Quinn
Got less heavy over each album. Collide With The Sky is probably my favourite album. Currently writing album 5 which I am extremely excited for. Vic Fuentes’ voice is quite high and but you get used to it. Screams are excellent.
PVMNTS (American)
Pronounced as pavements but they decided to not have vowels. Also remember Tyler Posey from Teen Wolf well yeah he’s the lead singer in the band. On the final Warped Tour.
Year I started listening - 2018
First song I listened to - Jumping Stairsets
Has a lot of early 2000s pop-punk influences. Sounds like Blink-182. Very excited for some more music from them. These guys did a UK tour with The Faim. Released an EP recently.
Shawn Mendes (Canadian)
Living under a rock if you haven’t heard of this sweet boy.
Year I started listening - 2015
First song I listened to - Stitches
Newest album is very real and super chill. Got some new different sounds in it. First 2 albums are heavy on the singer songwriter genre. Amazing writing and his voice has a somewhat raspy tinge and extremely powerful at the same time.
Sleeping With Sirens (American)
Yes this is the band where the lead singer sounds like a girl.
Year I started listening - 2017
First song I listened to - If You Can’t Hang
Newest album is quite different to their past stuff but I really like it. Explored some issues in the songs which they haven’t previously done. Overall either angry or soft.
Story Untold (Canadian)
Pop-punk band. Lead singer (Janick Thibault) used to post a lot of covers on YouTube. Went under the name of Amasic before. Lead singer low-key sounds like Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day. Also kind of looks like Alex Gaskarth and Awsten Knight. On the final Warped Tour.
Year I started listening - 2017
First song I listened to - History
2 albums out currently. 1st album was extremely pop-punk. 2nd album explored some different sounds but still pop-punk. Also signed to Hopeless Records.
A Summer High (American)
Found them through CrankThatFrank when he did a reaction vid to songs I’ve never heard before. On the last Warped Tour.
Year I started listening - 2018
First song I listened to - Pretty Little Liar
Think fetus 5SOS and that’s basically their sound. Basically the kids who never left their pop-punk sk8er boi phase. Has quite a few covers and needs to tour with 5SOS. All 3 of them can sing and they sing like angels.
SWMRS (American)
Yes this is the band that has Billie Joe Armstrong’s kid in it. Also it’s pronounced Swimmers. Just they didn’t like vowels. Originally named Emily’s Army but they changed the name. Found these guys through a reaction to songs I’ve never heard before from CrankThatFrank
Year I started listening - 2017
First song I listened to - Lose It
Kind of like indie-surf-punk idk but it’s good. Drive North has some anger and some bops just an overall good album. Can’t wait for some new music from them.
Twenty Øne Piløts (American)
Living under a rock if you haven’t heard of them. Can’t even begin to describe the genre cause they’re just that different.
Year I started listening - 2016
First song I listened to - Ride
Bops mixed with deep lyrics and sadness. Raps are amazing. Poetic writing. 2 talented beans who deserve so much. New music is heavier and it will go so hard live I cannot wait.
The Vamps (UK)
I had a phase with this band and their first 2 albums get heavy repeat.
Year I started listening - 2014
First song I listened to - Somebody To You
First 2 albums are absolute bops. Mixed feelings from their 3rd album. Vocals are great.
Waterparks (American)
Metaphors. Metaphors everywhere. God’s Favourite Boy Band. On the final Warped Tour.
Year I started listening - 2017
First song I listened to - I’m A Natural Blue
The EPs are great also angry and a lil bit of screaming. This band are a blessing sent from heaven and are pure boys. Follow Awsten on Twitter for the best quality content. Don't expect anything from Otto on social media he never uses it. Double Dare is cute but also slightly angry. Entertainment is full of anger and angst and sadness and it’s beautiful. Excellent songwriting.
With Confidence (Australian)
Pop-punk. Very pop-punk. Jayden Seeley has a beautiful voice. On the last Warped Tour.
Year I started listening - 2017
First song I listened to - Voldemort
First album is a poetic masterpiece. Some bops and some sadness (looking at you Long Night). Excellent songwriting throughout. Love and Loathing is probably one of the best albums of 2018.
Lol that’s it. Will probably update everytime I get into another band.

Samedi 9 octobre 2021.
Cependant, aujourd'hui je me sens incomplète.
