Just Room Enough Island- Hub Island, New York

Also known as Hub Island, is an island located in the Thousand Islands chain, in New York, United States. The island is known for being the smallest inhabited island, which appears to be around 3,300 square feet (310 m2), or about one-thirteenth of an acre. Purchased by the Sizeland family in the 1950s, the island has a house, a tree, shrubs, and a small beach.

In case anyone wanted to see the beautiful castle that I got to explore today, here are some pictures that I took. This is Boldt Castle on Heart Island in Alexandria Bay, New York. It’s part of the Thousand Islands.

The Thousand Islands west of Rockport, Ontario, are especially scenic in the late afternoon light.

"JOY RIDERS COME TO GRIEF," Kingston Daily Standard. September 9, 1913. Page 3. --- Stole a Motor Boat, Which Was Sunk. --- Alexandria Bay, Sept. 9. - Another case of joy riding in a motor boat occurred at this place Saturday evening, brought to light by an accident occurring in which four persons narrowly escaped drowning.

The boat was J. B. Taylor's MacTay's, and in it were Arthur Gove, of this place, a chauffeur named Williams, of Watertown, and two men whose names are unknown.

The accident occurred about 12 o'clock, as the party was crossing the river in front of Belle Isle. In some unaccountable manner the MacTay ran into a coal barge, which was being towed down the river, and the bow of the motor boat was demolished.

All four occupants were thrown into the river, and the boat sank until just the stern was above water. Walter Wagoner, who has a farm on Wellesley island, was crossing the river on his way home in a skiff, and heard the cries of the women. He went to the rescue, and with the aid of two canoeists, who happened to be near the scene, pulled the four people out of the river.

千島湖心島

曼哈頓第五大道華道夫豪華地標酒店(Waldorf)大亨在美加邊界千島湖買了座心型島，為不便於行的愛妻建造萊茵河畔樣式城堡，還沒蓋好43歲妻子逝去就再也沒心回到此心島。死後還送給美國政府，搞得觀光客好麻煩，上島參觀還得入出境美加兩國。

主人忙賺錢，請僕人去買小島，不敢花太多錢買的島小到無法蓋房。主人再把旁邊的島買下蓋房，兩島間蓋了銜接橋，小島成為後院。兩島分屬美加兩國，自家的小橋成了跨境橋。

There are 9 miles of trails within the 600-acre Nature Center, and each of them is stunning in its own way due to the number of different ecosystems throughout the park. There are wetlands, forests, giant rock outcroppings, and meadows.
