Hi! I'm not the same anon that sent the question about Lou being or not on the S8, but I want to thank you for your answer and for this part "And we are not going to tell you "stop feeling this way", because it is absolutely valid, and understandable."

I feel like sometimes, us bt shippers who have anxiety and insecurities about the lack of content and what this hiatus has been like, can't express these feelings without being labeled "dramatic", negative hi fake bt fans. So thank you for your response, it was both reassuring about the show and about being in the fandom (even on the bt side) now.

I think this hiatus has been more frustrating than anything else, because sometimes it feels like the omission or absence of more bt/Tommy/lou content seems to show that this story/cast won't be supported, rewarding the worst-behaved part of the fandom, but it's more the anxiety talking and I'm still hopeful that Tim will continue to treat Buck's arc and his relationship with Tommy with care and respect, and that's all I want.

Hey! First of all, we're glad to be of help, because certainly each person is different and, as a fandom, we believe that we should show support and empathy with every bt fan, even if we do not agree or feel/think the same, you know? At least that's what we would like to see as part of the fandom.

Also, the 911 fandom specifically is... well, difficult on many occasions, compared to others we've been a part of, tbh, so invalidating how another bt fan feels is not helpful at all, neither for ourselves, nor for the others.

You are not fake, negative or dramatic for expressing your insecurities or fears, which (we reiterate) are completely understandable after everything that happened during this hiatus. Showing how you feel should not be the subject of criticism, as long as it is done with respect, which is why we ask all bt fans to try not to fall into negativity, and even less so among ourselves.

Personally, we believe that Tim, Oliver, and Lou care about this story arc, and will do everything they can to give us a good story and representation. Anyway, we understand that in some ways, sometimes it doesn't seem like it, but we must also keep in mind that some things that happen in the fandom are not easy to contain, and that the GA is also important for ABC and the producers. Apart from the fact that we don't really know anything about what happens on set, or what the cast and Tim decide about many issues, and that the television industry is often not what we would like. Would it be cool to have bucktommy bts? Of course. Would it be great not to have to go through a hiatus full of anxiety, hate and ship wars? Also yes.

And we're going to leave it here, because it's a very complex topic and we don't want to write a whole book about it, haha.

Ok, so, we really get that some of you feel this way, that you have doubts, or even feel kind of frustrated. And we are not going to tell you "stop feeling this way", because it is absolutely valid, and understandable.

If we remember correctly, during the filming of season 7, there were not many (Tommy-related) bts pics before the episodes aired. That's no excuse, of course, and we personally feel rather sad that the hate towards Lou/Tommy is one of the possibilities. We want to think that, if that's the case, the crew and cast are supporting Lou, and making all that insane part of the fandom more bearable. Well, they're adults, and they obviously know how they want to handle this.

On the other hand, we haven't seen much about the season apart from the bees and a few thingies, and there are many actors we haven't seen on set, that's for sure, and possibly due to the leaks from the previous season. Maybe it's because of the plot 🤷‍♀️

Anyway, we know this is no consolation, and maybe it's not the right thing to do on 911's part, but after Tim's interview and what Oliver said during Paley Fest, Tommy is part of season 8, and we hope that later on Lou and the rest of the cast share some photos from the filming.

I love how Buck and Tommy aren’t a slow burn or a will they won’t they type of situation, but a secret third thing. It’s so natural that people actually felt like they were breaking some kind of rule or cheating the system 😭

I also love how it just works. They know almost nothing about one another meaning they can experience their relationship with fresh eyes and open minds. The relationship itself is the experience. They didn’t need a 7 year friendship to finally one day realize their attraction to one another. It’s all just a leap of faith.

That’s how it is in real life.

I can’t wait to see them develop and evolve as a couple as the show continues.
