Does the Age Tech take into account the fact that the arrivals are baby boomers who know what tech and AI are?
The Age Tech is evolving as baby boomers, who make up a significant portion of today's seniors, become increasingly familiar with technology.
Here's how it manifests itself
Designing more intuitive interfaces
Tech age developers strive to create user interfaces that are simple, clean, and easy to navigate, drawing inspiration from design principles used in consumer apps and devices.
This includes large touchscreens, self-explanatory icons, voice commands and interactive tutorials
Integration of artificial intelligence (AI)
AI is increasingly used in the tech age to personalize experiences, anticipate needs and provide proactive assistance.
For example, AI systems can analyze health data to detect anomalies, recommend personalized exercises or remind people to take medication.
Chatbots and AI-powered virtual assistants also facilitate communication and access to information.
Adapting to Baby Boomers' Technological Habits
Age tech companies are conducting studies to understand how baby boomers use technology and what their specific needs are.
This allows us to develop products and services that fit seamlessly into their daily lives, taking into account their preferences in communication, entertainment and health management.
For example, knowing that many Baby Boomers use social networks like Facebook allows companies to create products that use this platform as a means of communication.
Training and support
There are many initiatives aimed at providing older people with personalized training and support to help them use age tech technologies.
This may include workshops, online tutorials, in-home demonstrations and telephone support.
In short, the tech age recognizes that baby boomers are increasingly comfortable with technology and adapts its solutions accordingly.
The goal is to create technologies that are user-friendly, useful and tailored to the needs and preferences of this generation.

those “this is what AR will be like” videos you see go around where people have cool video game HUD elements in their daily lives or whatever are neat but truly hilarious how people don’t understand the novelty will wear off almost immediately. I don’t rly need floating cyberpunk text to tell me the thing I’m looking at is an apple i learned how to do that already when I was 2

Evil Morty mannerisms (part 3)
WAIT.
Tumblr media
Is this Evil Morty instinctively reaching for his eyepatch before recalling it's not there and camouflaging his action by scratching his head????

Today, I joined an instance of Project Aincrad, which has really been gathering steam since the VRC devs implemented Persistence (so player data can finally be saved). I partied up with a couple of anime people, a glassy-eyed big-clawed furry, and a floppy but intrepidly quadrupedal regular cartoon horse. We ran around jumping and batting at wasps and hogs with our blades, and met some other people (with better blades) along the way. I put three skill points into STR and one of my bosom companions (the furry) died, losing his acquired skills and experience, before I had to leave them all behind to go help my mom with something.

Hey, i noticed you use safety eyes in your plushies, and I was wondering if you use interfacing or anything with them to reinforce the fabric? (Lil ghostie is super cute btw!)
Thanks! Mostly no, I don't use interfacing. There are a few exceptions; I have one kind of faux fur in particular that is an absolute pain to work with (but is so so soft) that sometimes if I am using safety eyes with it I'll put a piece of scrap minky behind the faux fur and the washer of the safety eye. I have to admit for fabrics that flimsy/prone to ripping I usually just applique eyes instead of using safety eyes, though? And if I was going to use safety eyes on woven fabric, especially flannel, I'd want to reinforce it

there's probably an effortpost to be had about why I didn't get into fire within the sands despite the gameplay loop being nominally something i'd be into but I think it mostly hinges on two major things
for fwts specifically, it's probably the single worst match for the limited-time event model that I've ever seen. I have thousands of hours in Dwarf Fortress and Factorio and various skyblocks with varying degrees of Gregtech, I'm fine with "the early game is slow and needs a lot of fiddling", but if you slap on "your progress will be completely erased in 40 days" my response isn't "well I'd better hurry", it's "oh I'll play something else then".
relatedly, and something I've had with IS as well, is that it's really just... asking for a lot of time for a phone game. unless I'm commuting by bus or stuck in an airport or something, the overlap of "I am using my phone" and "I have time to play games for more than a few short bursts" is almost nothing. yes, I could set up an emulator and swap accounts back and forth and all that, but that's such a fucking time sink when I could just fire up anything else. I don't dislike the game, but like... I'd play it a lot more if it was on PC natively.
I get that I'm the long tail of the Modern Gaming Experience as far as attitudes to smartphones go but if you're asking me to have my phone out and pay attention to it for more than ten minutes or so consecutively, I'm going to go to my computer instead unless physically unable
