Upcoming Electric Car Toyota bZ4x in India 2024 – Features, Specs & More
Tumblr media
Expected to grace the Indian automotive scene by mid-2024, the Toyota bZ4X EV is poised to make a grand entrance, heralding Toyota’s significant leap into the electric vehicle domain. Developed in collaboration with Subaru, the bZ4X, also known as Solterra, is set to captivate the market with its estimated price tag of Rs. 27 Lakh and a promise of nationwide availability.
Let’s delve into the specifics of this forthcoming electric marvel.
EV Motor, Power, and Performance: The bZ4X offers two powertrain options to cater to varied driving preferences. The front-wheel-drive model boasts 201 horsepower, while the all-wheel-drive version ups the ante with 215 horsepower. Initial test drives have showcased perky acceleration, coupled with commendable ride quality and responsive steering.
Range, Charging & Battery Life: Equipped with either a 63.4-kWh or 65.5-kWh battery pack, the bZ4X promises a range of up to 252 miles (Limited/XLE) for the front-wheel-drive variant and 228 miles for the all-wheel-drive version. Charging is facilitated by a 6.6-kW onboard charger, enabling an 80 percent charge in under an hour at a DC fast-charger.
Fuel Economy: Efficiency ratings for the bZ4X are impressive, with city ratings as high as 131 MPGe. Real-world testing, however, revealed a slightly lower highway rating of 86 MPGe for the dual-motor Limited model.
Interior, Comfort & Cargo: Inside, the bZ4X offers a spacious environment with a digital gauge display, a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, wireless smartphone charging, and ample storage space. The rear cargo hold provides 26 to 28 cubic feet of space.
Infotainment and Connectivity: All models feature a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, cloud-based navigation, and onboard Wi-Fi. Optional upgrades include a nine-speaker JBL stereo system.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features: Standard safety features include adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection, automated emergency braking, and lane-keeping assist, aligning with Toyota’s commitment to driver safety.
Conclusion: As the automotive industry embraces electrification, the Toyota bZ4X emerges as a compelling option, blending comfort, technology, and safety. Despite some limitations in power and range, its imminent arrival signals Toyota’s dedication to sustainable mobility solutions in the evolving electric vehicle market of 2024.

Are electric cars better for the environment?
Part of the allure of owning an electric car is not having to pay for gas, but the other part is reducing your carbon footprint and making a difference in terms of emissions and the environment. But are electric cars really better for the environment? Toyota of Orlando is here to dig into the issue.
Tumblr media
Most drivers automatically assume yes because electric cars don't use gasoline and don't put out any emissions like internal combustion cars do. However, it's not that simple when you look at the bigger picture.
Electric cars may not run on gasoline, but they do run on electricity, and electricity has to be powered by something. Basically, the eco-friendliness of electric vehicles breaks down into two categories:
🟢 Local emissions, which are the emissions coming out of your car. Electric cars don't have these, so they're excellent on this level.
🟢 Non-local emissions, which are the emissions put out when the electricity you're using to charge your car is made. If your car is powered by fossil fuels, it's still responsible for non-local emissions.
Another concern stems from battery production. Electric cars like the Orlando Toyota bz4X use lithium-ion batteries. A lot of electricity is required to create one, and on top of that, they have to be disposed of carefully (they can't just be tossed into a landfill). Figuring out what to do with them could become an issue down the road.
Have more questions about if electric cars are better for the environment or want to pre-order your next new Toyota EV? Call us today! We're at (407) 298-4500 and we're just off I-4 near the Millenia Mall at 3575 Vineland Road.

Toyota Camatte57s Sport Concept, 2013. A "build it yourself" prototype with 57 detachable panels that could be finished in a wide variety of colours and designs. It was inspired by the "fun generations of mums, dads and kids having fun making things together." Powered by an electric motor, there was seating for 3 and a central diving position

Toyota is the leader in hybrids in the US and offer some hybrid plug-ins but only offer two fully electric models. At this point in time IMHO hybrids are still more practical.
It’s a shame the industry has adopted Elongated Muskrat’s standard. This right-wing fascist propagandist shouldn’t have so much influence in this country.

The Honda CR-V e:FCEV (horrendous name, btw) is actually a really smart car, and I feel like if an automaker had done it sooner, it really could’ve made Hydrogen take off (or at least not die so pathetically.)
It is kinda funny (and somewhat ironic) that this car has been announced MONTHS after Shell announced they’d be shutting down all of their Hydrogen refueling stations, essentially crippling the infrastructure even further. Not to mention, Toyota currently being sued by Mirai owners for the lack of enough refueling stations to reliably use the car. What an L from Honda… again.
Also, a PS: It’s even funnier that Honda and Toyota have consistently pushed FCEVs as their Zero Emission Vehicle of choice, despite neither automakers being willing to invest any amount into hydrogen refueling infrastructure.
When automakers were mandated to make EVs in 1997, they put in their own chargers. There are even some old G.M. EV1 MagneChargers out and still functional. When Tesla debuted the Model S in 2012, they started their own Superhcarger network. When Toyota and Honda want to release FCEVs, though… they sit around wondering who’s gonna build all the infrastructure for them, for free. What a joke.

Toyota responds to furious Hydrogen car customers who are 'living a nightmare'
Quote: "Frozen pumps. Skyrocketing fuel costs. Plummeting resale values. Here's why owners who bought into Toyota's hydrogen dream feel "cheated and misled."" Source: insideevs.com
P.S. If something like that happened to electric cars and their charging stations, then there would be huge headlines and dramatic articles in all the mass media... but since Toyota and other legacy car manufacturers buy advertising, the big media is pretty quiet... and people still falling into the hydrogen "trap"...An electric car can be charged at any electrical outlet at home, at work, at school or at solar panels in the meadow...In 2040, almost no one will drive a hydrogen car....

The best cars I've ever own
In honor of my brother Randy's 60th birthday, here's a list of the best cars I've ever owned. It features vehicles from Honda, Toyota, and Chevrolet.
My brother is turning 60 next month. Cars have always been an important part of his life. When we were kids, we spent every September visiting the car dealers on Reseda Boulevard collecting brochures for all the new year’s models. He turned his passion into a career. His website and YouTube channel is named Victory & Reseda after the neighborhood where we grew up and the gas stations on the…
