i am boggled sometimes at the amount of times i look for "beginning beginner guide to x thing" in a video game and I get some dude who's been playing since beta (which was, like, 11 years ago) who talks 50 miles an minute, references stuff I will not see in my lifetime since it only relates to uber-high-end content and ranks things as "worth doing" if, and only if, it drops high end shit which, again, see previous comment.

do not tag your epeen flex as "beginner" if you have no concept of what that is anymore. please. i am just trying to figure out where to start, not which european country i can conquer with it using the right upgrades. if you're using acronyms, go back and re-record your guide and while you're at it, slow the fuck down.

Summary: You spend your days waitressing, using all your free time working to become an ornithologist and hunting poachers. You meet and befriend a rare mythical bird, with clear intelligence and astounding beauty. At the same time, an annoying group of pirates are docked at the island. One of them with a stupid haircut keeps trying to charm you, but you hate pirates and especially this one. He’s persistent - can’t he just leave you alone so you can hang out with your new Phoenix friend?

Marco isn’t sure what to do - you love him in his phoenix form, but you hate him in his human form. It's a tough spot for birds and bird watchers alike.

Notes:

I think that it could reasonably be assumed that the mythical Zoans are not the only of their kinds. They are the just only humans who can turn into mythical creatures. Rob Lucci is not the only leopard, Jack isn’t the only mammoth, Yamato isn't the only kitsune, etc. For the purposes of this story, there are more than one of each mythical creature, but only one Devil Fruit user who can turn into one. So reader isn't totally off that it is a phoenix, she just doesn't know it's The Phoenix.

You tightened your apron ties and scanned the patrons coming in for the lunch rush. Looked like the usual groups - some tourists, some bird watchers, some locals. You didn’t see any obvious waterfoul - your punny code word for pirates. One of the reasons you kept this shitty job was that it gave you a good peek into everyone coming and going on the island. Your island was famous for its stunning bird migrations. It was the southernmost island before the longest landless stretch of sea in the Grand Line. Flocks of birds would often rest at the island in preparation for the long journey to the next set of islands. It was also a wonderful location to try to spot rare and mythical birds. You’d seen a few and captured their essences in your sketchbook. 

Unfortunately, waterfoul weren’t interested in capturing images. They wanted to catch and kill rare birds for easy money. Poaching was a huge problem on the island, one that you frequently fought against. It was your personal crusade to try and stop as many poachers as possible. You’d caught some others - a few Marines, some local boys - but the primary offenders were almost always waterfoul. You carefully watched when crews came to the port, listening for signs that they were going to look for avian treasures. It usually took a week for log poses to set, so you had a good chance of seeing anyone suspicious. You didn’t care to keep track of any specific crew or pirates - they were all the same. Same arrogance, same swaggering attitude, same cocky assurance that they could do anything they wanted to with no repercussions. You hadn’t met any halfway decent pirates, and you didn’t think you ever would. 

Satisfied that you wouldn’t have to worry as much today, you began your shift. It was grinding your soul to shreds being inside and talking to customers when you could be spending it outdoors, watching and drawing birds. But you needed to make money to afford art supplies, new ornithology books, and poison for your dart tips. So inside you stayed, taking orders from idiots who didn’t know if the mashed potatoes were mashed or fried. After a grueling shift, you were finally able to leave. You chucked your apron into the dirty bin and left immediately, turning down your coworkers requests to hang out as a group after the shift ended.

“C’mon, you never hang out with me. Let’s go grab a drink,” Etta said, giving you puppy dog eyes. Etta was your work BFF, and your only real friend on the island. 

“I can’t, I’m going to try to catch -”

“The next bird migration, I know. But there’s always a bird migration on this island, that’s the deal here. You can see one tomorrow, the next day, next month, next year even! But there’s only one 2 berri marg night per week…besides I heard there are some hot new pirates in town.” She waggled her eyebrows at you, while you pretended to barf. 

“You know how I feel about pirates. But I do wanna hang out. How about this? Tomorrow after our shift I’ll buy you a margarita, even if it costs more than 2 berri.” You really did like Etta so you compromised - one night out would be OK, you probably wouldn’t miss much. She stuck her tongue out at you.

“Fine, but you can’t flake out. If you do, I’m leaving you to do side prep all by yourself. Think of all those lemons you’d have to cut.” She rolled her eyes, but it was a plan. You were truly excited - she was the first friend you’d made since you were a child. People often told you that you were “intimidating,” or “prickly,” or “difficult,” which was all just code for “bitchy.” You didn’t care - you wanted to be yourself, not try to dull your edges for people who wouldn’t like you either way. So you were happy to be friends with Etta, who liked you despite your “poor attitude” (as your boss called it). 

You changed out of your work clothes and into your hiking gear, taking your day pack with you. This is what  you liked most - going into the wild to watch for birds, especially legendary ones. You walked down to the forest edge and started on a well trodden path. It didn’t take you long before you had diverged from the path and were going rogue. You’d never see anything really good on the tourist paths - people were too loud and startled the birds away. Besides, you’d been on the island a long time now and you knew the best places to wait and watch. 

You picked your way through the dense forest towards the hidden waterfall. It was your slice of heaven on earth. It was secluded enough that you’d never seen anyone else there. The area surrounding the waterfall was more open than the forest floor, making it easy for camping overnight. The water was always cool and clear, wonderful for swimming on a hot day. The waterfall wasn’t terribly large or loud, bringing a pleasant sound of rushing water. There was an alcove behind the waterfall, large enough for three or so people. Leafy trees lined the banks of the river the waterfall fell into, bringing shade on hot days. It was your happy place, where you retreated both physically and mentally when stressed. Today was no exception.

You reached your destination and put your pack down on a familiar flat rock under the shade of a tree. You took out your pencil, sketchbook, and binoculars and started your stake out. You were already mentally tallying the different bird cries you heard. So far, nothing out of the ordinary, just local birds trilling. You also delighted in the ordinary - you enjoyed seeing the same species day after day, learning more about their habits and manner of living. You were sketching a local starling that was imitating the sounds of transponder snails - pretty well, actually - when all of a sudden, your ears perked up when you heard alarm calls. It wasn’t a call for mobbing - when smaller birds would form a group to ward off a predatory bird. These were definitely alarm calls - short, high pitched, loud cries to warn their flocks that a predator was near. 

You were excited, this was great news for you. Hearing these calls meant that something big was coming your way. It might be a more common predator, but maybe not. You’d seen a lightning Secretary bird once that caused the exact same alarm cries. You’d barely caught sight of it before it was gone. Another time, the cries alerted you to an ice Roc perched in a tree a little farther down the river. You’d carefully stalked the bird and were able to get a few sketches of it done before it flew away. Those were the rarest ones you’d ever seen, and you were hoping for another. 

Straining your ears listening to the bird cries, you grabbed your sketchbook and followed them towards the source. You crept along as quickly as you could deeper in the forest, silently walking on the sides of your feet. The cries weren’t quieting down, meaning the predator was still in the area. Scanning, you inhaled a gasp as you saw the apex predator at hand. Perched on a branch overlooking the river was a phoenix. A blue fire phoenix, with dark blue almost purple accent markings that made it look like it was wearing glasses. You could barely remember to breathe in its presence.

You stood there agog with your mouth open until the bird moved slightly to shift its feathers. You opened your sketchbook and drew quick sketches of it before you missed your chance. You jotted notes of the colors, wanting to remember exactly what it looked like. Seeing the phoenix was like seeing a god in the flesh. It was a blur of blue flames, ending with wisps of yellow. The movment of its body was like watching the waterfall, endless and yet each moment fleeting at the same time. You could scarcely believe that you were able to see one, much less sketch it. You must have been making too much noise because it looked straight at you despite your hiding spot in the brush.

You weren’t worried about it hurting or killing you - that would be an honor. Well, not really, but you typically found predatory birds disinterested in humans. You kept on sketching even though your hands were shaking. The bird cocked its head to the side and continued to watch you. It almost felt…awkward, like you had intruded on a private moment. After a minute or so it seemed to have gathered whatever information it wanted and flew away. Even watching it leave was magnificent, tail feathers like a chain of golden coins dancing in the wind. When it finally left your sight, you exhaled a breath you didn’t know you were holding. That was almost orgasmic for you. You rushed to pack up your things so you could go home and sketch with detail and notations before you forgot anything.

On your way back, the only thing on your mind was the phoenix. You thought about its elegance, its restrained power, its understated intelligence. It was the most striking bird you’d ever seen out of the thousands you’d cataloged. You thought more about its coloring, trying to think of the exact shades of blue and yellow you’d use to describe it. But now that you thought about it, seeing a blue fire phoenix was peculiar. Everything you’d heard about phoenixes depicted them as yellow bodied with red accents. But not much was known about any legendary bird so perhaps this one was rarer or maybe hadn’t been discovered yet. It had some kind of marking on its chest - but unfortunately where you were standing obscured your ability to see the marks directly. The glasses markings were a little funny - almost like a spectacled owl. It did give the phoenix a distinctive and distinguished look, like a scholar or a doctor. You were practically skipping with delight towards your home, thinking of all the little details you wanted to remember.

The next day, you went to work with a smile on your face. Not even the sight of waterfoul in your section could dull your mood today. You’d spent hours sketching and coloring drawings of the phoenix you’d seen, writing every possible memory you had down to preserve it forever. Etta wasn’t in yet - she was starting a shift staggered an hour after yours- but you’d have to tell her about it when you saw her again. Smiling, you walked to the table of waterfoul getting your pad out to take their order. As you got to the table, your smile dropped and your bitch face turned on. You set it to extra sour just for your own fun. 

You looked at the assembled men - you saw two stupid hairstyles, two stupid hats, and one well...there was nothing stupid looking about the last man. He was absolutely gorgeous with black glossy hair set in a classic style and incredible geisha style makeup. Whatever, even if he was good looking he was still a pirate. The man with the stupidest hairstyle smiled warmly at you, like he knew you. You dropped your neutral face into a frown.

“What do you want?” you said in a flat tone.

“Aren’t you supposed to greet customers with a friendly welcome?” said stupid hairstyle two with a smirk. You wanted to dump a cup of water on his pompadour. Or maybe soup.

“Of course! Whatever would you like today, my fair patrons?” you replied in an overly sweet and simpering voice. You even curtsied at the end to hammer the point home. The point being - fuck off. As soon as the words left your lips, you went back to frowning. Pineapple Hair looked at you curiously.

Cowboy hat laughed and said “I’ll start with three steaks, rare. And a beer.” Pineapple Hair, Pompadour, Twirly Mustache and Glamor Man also placed their orders. When they were done, you turned on your heel and went to put in their orders. You attended your other tables and customers, servicing them all while thinking about your phoenix. 

After a while, you saw Etta enter through the staff door. Before she could get to the floor you quickly pulled her to the kitchen. You both spoke excitedly at the same time.

“Guess what - “

“Guess what - “

“You go first,” Etta said, listening intently.

“I saw a legendary bird last night! It was everything I could have ever dreamed of! It was absolutely incredible…I can’t wait to show you the sketches.” Etta was one of the only people you showed your drawings to. You loved the art of drawing but felt self conscious about your ability.

“That’s amazing! I’m so happy for you,” Etta’s eyes lit up. She always liked when you shared your ornithology information with her and dutifully listened to some of your ramblings..

“What’s your news?” Maybe 2 berri margs were available again tonight?

“So I went out to the bar last night and met someone for a little fun. They’re in town until their log pose resets. I was talking to them for a while and mentioned that you are a real bird expert, not like the shitty tour guides who don’t know anything.” You narrowed your eyes. This wasn’t heading in a direction you liked.

“He’s actually interested in beetles, not birds. But I said that beetles are an important part of several bird’s diets,” she said, hedging around something.

“That’s true, you’ve been listening to my rants,” you said, still on guard. There was something she wasn’t saying and you had a feeling you weren’t going to like it. 

“So I might have volunteered you to come on a double date with him and his friend birdwatching and looking for beetles,” she said in a rush while starting to steeple her hands in a begging motion.

“What aren’t you telling me? There’s more to it than that.” you asked suspiciously. 

“Uhm. Well, the thing is. They’re pirates -”

“Etta! Oh my god. I knew it was something -”

“No, no listen! Listen. They seem actually nice and reasonable. The one I met yesterday, Ace, was so sweet and hot! I really like him.”

“Ohmyfuckinggod. Pirates? Etta they’ll probably kill us and take our stuff if we go to the woods with them. Or worse.”

“No! They’re like, high ranking pirates, so you know they have to be good.”

“That is not at all what that means.” You crossed your arms, and waved at the little window in the kitchen door that looked into the dining room.

“Look, there’s shitty pirates out there right now. They’ve already annoyed me and it’s only been like half an hour. Think about what a few hours would do to me.” Etta looked out the window. 

“Oh, actually he’s right there! Isn’t he hot?” Etta ducked down so he couldn’t see her.

“Who? Which one?” You really hoped it was Glamor Man, but he didn’t seem outdoorsy. You looked at the table where Cowboy Hat was asleep face down in his food. Could you drown in peas? 

“The one wearing the cowboy hat, that’s Ace. Isn’t he just so fine?” Of course that was the one she liked. He was something alright. Etta was practically drooling. Ace was too. 

“Etta, as my only friend, I have to tell you-”

“Please please please please please please -”

“I really don’t think this is a good idea and I really don’t want to go on a double date with -”

“Please please please please please - I’ll take your shift tomorrow so you have two days off in a row! It’s the weekend too! Just come out with me tomorrow with these guys, please!”

You sighed. You didn’t want Etta to get herself killed, and two days off was very appealing during busy season. You could go camping overnight and see if the phoenix ever returned. 

“Fine. But we’re going on the popular trails and I will absolutely not be kissing any pirate. And you have to roll my silverware tonight.” You barely even cared who you were set up with so you didn't bother to ask. You'd find out tomorrow anyway.

“Thank you thank you thank you!!” Etta squealed and hugged you tightly. You gave a small smile, knowing you’d made your friend happy. And looking for beetles did actually sound like fun. Who knew pirates liked bugs?

Ducktales: Our Timeless Story

Howdy folks! With a great pleasure I announce I am working on a story project that is gonna be quite fun to be working on! Behold!

(Yeah I'm a beginner artist, I focus primarily on writing so this was the best I can do.) Anyways welcome to Ducktales: Our Timeless Story~ This story project has been flooding my head for a long time. Anyways here is the low down: Duckburg, a place of all kinds of adventures, but for one particular family they are in for a new adventure... Highschool. Follow Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby as they try to navigate their new lives of drama, romance, and adventure, along with their growing cast of friends and allies! That being said a McDuck Family adventure is not without excitement as danger lurks behind them, enemies both new and old seeking to lay claim to treasures that have been lost to time to the point even Scrooge himself had never heard of them! The race is on as the hunt for the Lost Collection ensues! Will Clan McDuck locate the vast relics whose histories have been erased? Or will their enemies and new upstart adventurers beat them to the punch?! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Okay! With that out of the way let us go about explaining this... This AU is set with the triplets now becoming high school students, (14 to 15, don't know if I want them starting off as Freshmen or skipping a year to being Sophomores) having been homeschooled since they began to adventure with their uncle Scrooge during that Summer in the first episode. Anyways this story will follow multiple perspectives, mainly from the eyes of the duck triplets, Webby, and Donald, but it too will go through perspective switches from others.

Aside from the new life of school, our cast of colorful ducks and their friends have all been introduced to a new adventure thanks to a journal that Louie discovers, a journal containing information on items known as the Lost Collection. The Lost Collection are a set of mysterious artifacts that had their histories stolen, with the only known documentation for them being journals written by an expedition party who too had mysteriously disappeared. With treasures so rare and unheard of you'd think Clan McDuck will have a break right? Well... Cue our antagonistic force, Void Industries. Void Industries is a new budding company that had just opened in Duckburg, with its boss a shifty black fox by the name Reign Void piloting the helm, Clan McDuck has new competition in store when they too are on the hunt for the treasures. With goals unknown, Void Industries won't stop at nothing until the Lost Collection is within their grasps.

That being said... Clan McDuck and Void Industries ain't the only players in this game. With new adventurers seeking to stake their claim on the treasures and to make a name for themselves, the duck family has a set of fresh young rivals to face off against!

DT:OTS is set in a collected Toonverse of sorts, thank you Roger Rabbit for opening this can of worms. You have beloved Disney Characters, Looney Tunes, the Animaniacs, and two other medias that I decided to toss in, Indigo Park and Poppy's Playtime. (Smiling Critters mainly! Not gonna go into the whole killer toys thing, considering they supposedly have cartoons of the Smiling Critters in that universe I figure it be good to play off that) This story will also be using the collected media of the Disneyverse, from Paperinik New Adventures, Legend of the Three Caballeros, Tiny Toons, and Loonatics Unleashed. This story will feature all kinds of pairings, especially ones of the LGBTQ+ variety. Sure there may be OC x Canon pairs but I'm gonna try to stick with pairing a majority of the cast with actual individuals from media. Examples of this: Yakko x Max Goof or Donald x Jose x Panchito. Yes there will be multimedia shipping. Sue me.

Main Cast: Huey - The smartest brother and the most responsible. He is all for the education he so desperately craved, not to mention trying to make sense of the strange artifacts that make up the Lost Collection.

Dewey - The middle triplet and the more adventurous of the three. He's primarily the embodiment of a high-school musical jock who simply is enjoying his new school life, not for the studies but everything else between!

Louie - The youngest and self-proclaimed evil triplet, he is the most chill brother, but deep down is more sensitive than he leads on... Sadly for Louie, high school is not the life he so craved, in fact he feels out of place...

Webby - The cousin to the triplets and daughter (via cloning) to Scrooge McDuck, Webby is an excitable gal who primarily sees high school as a means to make new friends!

Scrooge - The world's richest duck! He's smarter than the smarties, tougher than the toughies, sharper than the sharpies, and earns his way square! Upon learning of the existence of the Lost Collection, he has made it his mission to locate and collect each one.

Donald - The uncle who raised the triplets since they were eggs, Donald is a former navy officer, (honorable discharge) a court mage in another world, a descendant of one of three heroes, a former spy, and a former superhero! With all the chaos ensuing, sometimes it becomes harder for him to keep the secrets he had kept hidden.

Della - The mother to the triplets who had returned after 11 years of being stuck on the moon, Della is an ace pilot who is still trying to get the hang of the whole mother bit... Doesn't help they are teenagers now!

Launchpad - The second pilot of the duck family, Launchpad may be a bit of an airhead who has a tendency to crashing whatever vehicle he drives, but he has a heart of gold.

Beakley - The 'grandmother' who raised Webby, this former spy is the current housekeeper for Clan McDuck, trying to keep whatever she can from breaking apart.

Jose & Panchito - Donald's college friends who had just recently moved from Brazil and Mexico respectfully to live in their old cabana in New Quackmore. This suave parrot and hyperactive rooster are ready to brave new frontiers with their friend like the old days.

Zeca & Zico - Jose's nephews whom had became newly fledged teenagers much like the triplets, this pair of mischievous twins are all the more excited to join in the adventures! With Zeca being the more sportier and lively sibling, Zico is the more chill and suave one taking after Jose.

April, May, & June - Daisy's nieces whom Donald had taken cared of during his college years, these gals are just fresh out of college and are ready to help their favorite pseudo-uncle in his new adventure!

Lena & Violet - Webby's best friends, Lena was the former shadow of Magica DeSpell and a skilled magic user, Violet however is the more intellectual kind of gal who studies the arcane to assist her step-sister and her friends.

Sousuke (OC) - An akita inspiring to be a novelist like his uncle, this canine becomes Louie's new friend and is all the more happy to teach him the ropes surviving school. Having become involved in this race to collect the Lost Collection, Sousuke is more interested in being the one to document and tell the stories that had been long since forgotten, giving the ones who had been lost the proper closure they needed.

Annnnd with that we have ourselves the beginning of a massive story project! I hope that once the first chapter is out everyone may enjoy it! This project is huge, it'll probably feel like I'm making multiple seasons worth of a show but to me this is all the more exciting to do... I just gotta stop procrastinating... Heh. Morel Mushroom Obsession

I began foraging for mushrooms around the same time I started making pottery. My first 2 seasons, I didn’t find much of anything, because it turns out it takes practice to become good at foraging - and it’s also all dependent on the weather. Not only do you have to know where to look, but also when to look.

When you mushroom hunt (or look for mushroom treasures, as my 4 year old niece would say), people more often than not ask if you’ve found morel mushrooms.

Morel mushrooms are magical for many people. They have an incredibly short season, are hard to find, and are actually delicious. I don’t particularly enjoy eating mushrooms and I’m a big fan! They’re a good mushroom for beginner foragers because there are very few look-alikes, and they are easily differentiated from edible morchella species.

One morning in April 2023, I got a text from my sibling, which is still probably my favorite text of all time -

“This is not a drill. Dozens of fruiting bodies. Morels everywhere. Come to dad’s.”

I live an hour and a half from my parents’ house but I didn’t care, I got in the car immediately.

It was so magical. I had never found them before, and we found 30 of them! I’m hooked on trying to find them every year now, the morel dopamine is better than drugs.

I started making a lot of morel mushroom pottery since then. It brings back good memories, and I like to think I am manifesting my next successful hunt for mushroom treasures.

Izumi: Great, one hu… 100!? Oh, it’s Masumi-kun… that gave me a shock… Sure thing. Here’s 1 flyer.  

Masumi: Thanks. …Is this for work?  

Izumi: No, no. An actor acquaintance of mine accidentally ordered double the number of flyers. It looked like they were in a bind, so I’m helping them hand them out.  

Masumi: In that case, let me also—.  

*walks over*

Banri: Director-chan, I’m all done over here. You still got more?  

Izumi: Thanks! There’s just one box left.  

Banri: On it~. Oh, if it ain’t Masumi. Sup?  

Masumi: …Give that to me.

*grabs*  

Banri: Woah. What the? Don’t just snatch the box.

I AM ATTEMPTING TO PUT MY MESS OF NOTES TOGETHER INTO A WHOLE PRESENTATION, FOR NOW HAVE SOME OF THE STUFF I CAN EXPLAIN IN TEXT

Piglins that originate from the Nether, due to the vast amount of stone, metal, bones and fungal forests, usually create a handmade accessory in the form of an amulet or pendant to hang on any clothing pieces as charms for each other as a sign of respect or friendship.

Courting is similar however the motif of the piece and if it includes a piece of ruined portals, mob loot and/or fortress may carry deeper sentiments in conjuction to the metalwork detailing as more detailed/personalized items tend to act as claims to someone or dedication/commitment/devotion.

(still in the works bc this is the ~10th rework bc of updates and I actually have to mix my nether update old ideas w/ the dsmp ones)

Materials

Dedication/Commitment - wither bones & wither roses : due to its near incurable and severely debilitating effects + overall risk to even obtain without dying in the fortress itself, one has to plan everything just for one goal for them

Passion/Devotion - blaze rod/fragments, fire charges & magma cream : due to the heat intensity and practically impossible to stiffle flames, another way to say they are not afraid to be burnt by them or burn together

Uniqueness/Safety/Comfort - netherite/ancient debris : not a material usually sought after but if paired with gold can reflect how one finds them so rare, they are their home (bastion/village) they want to return to as almost every place is hostile and unsafe

Prosperity/Fortune - overworld gemstones : due to the rarity of things like diamonds, emeralds, amethyst and lapis in the nether, these become more of a proposal material to some areas but generally it'e when one feels lucky to have met or sees them as their treasure, or gifted as charms for good fortune to come

Endurance/Survival/Mourning - obsidians : the most obvious ones due to resisting practically everything, usually used to indicate near-death experiences or death defiance but crying obsidian is an indicator of someone loved being lost either by sacrifice, illness or time

Alienation/Loneliness - enderpearl : rarely ever used but used as an indicator that someone is not from the bastion/village, someone who had lost their home or parents and has been left to wander, someone socially exiled due to a crime or some difference

Remorse/Longing/Mourning - ghast tear : crystalline tears that never break and contain the haunting aura of the ghast itself, these are only for mourning unless one is bold to make a statement on their ghast hunting specialty, though some places use it almost like pearls accentuating other materials in amulets, pendants and earrings

Metals, string and leather do not have much symbolism due to being base materials but some villages attribute at least 1 to their patron deity and vary greatly in prominence and exclusivity to that purpose

Patterns & shapes

Connection/Unity - floral/fungal : usually for more familial and platonic items due to the ability to create a continuous design whilst being unique, usually symbolizes family, community and unity due to the vastness and variation within fungal biomes

Power/Ferocity/Vigor/Hardwork - teeth & bone : used to display something personally treasured/won/earned, sometimes worn by rivals or brutes with the personal icon of the other or their mentor, if paired with crying obsidian it becomes a memento

Stability/Durability/Humility/Pragmaticism - geometric : very basic and simple, being the first to be taught to beginner metalworkers, it is also the most practical design and some accessories become secondary weapons when in these designs or it is just a personal choice for practicality

Mob designs are either trophies, strength levels or symbols of their work, varying between bastions and villages; if paired with corresponding drops, these act as charms against the mobs as it's believed that it will strike fear into them

Piglin inspired designs are usually modeled their special person/s or leaders, but in war settings it is seen as someone who is ruthless for slaying many of their own kind or someone who would sacrifice everything for the one it is designed after (zombified designs are mostly used by those who act as doctors or worship death deities)

Tusk caps & guards - popular for merchants & artisans

Earrings & eartags - common for identification & status

Necklaces, chokers & neck guards - common but can be ceremonial for rank promotions

Rings & nail guards - ceremonial/occassional, usually for nobility

Bracelets, anklets & bracers - common for friends & family

Brooches, buttons, pins & clasps - gifts of gratitude & mementos

Amulets, pendants & charms - most common for gifting but socially distinguishes work and specisltiee

Anyways I'm gonna sketch the clothing, biology and evolution concepts for them, funny how the only idea I added from dsmp to my piglin stuff since the nether update is literally their culture around relationships, gifts and art

I say as I look at the overworld versions that are solely inspired by dsmp and d&d bc I forgot abt the "they got split from half their og populations due to interdimentional war that made the soulsand valleys" for like,,, a few years,,, that sticky note detail on the lore was in my old textbooks and not my personal notebooks 💀

That's how a Linked List works!

Good day, I just wanted to share with you some of my personal headcannons on the Care Package series (I’m too shy to post it myself). I’ll start with the first five stars we got in the Game:

Seele:

•The package is dark purple with a bright hot pink stripe, the most interesting feature is the purple butterfly clip on the side of the box.

•Seele doesn’t wait for anyone to open her box, she gladly explores on her own. She doesn’t like being held but she does love to clim on

•Beginner stage seele is rowdy and very wild, so she’s intended for extroverted and energetic caretakers. In the Beginning stage she has her [Hunt] skill which urges her to scavenge and look for things to bring back to her box, don’t be surprised if she brings back a dead mouse or cockroach. She’ll protect her treasures but with a little nudging she can, albeit reluctantly, throw away her things. She’ll also develop a little later in this stage the [Camp] skill to further improve not just her box but decorate at least a 15 cm meter area around it with any things she collects.

•Caretakers are heavily advised to strategically place small buttons or [Props] that come with the box in the Room where Seele is in to prevent her from going to far or bring any strange objects. After a week or two hunting she’ll go through her next stage

•Middle stage seele goes through her more scavenger era, she isn’t as wild anymore but is more incline to hunt with her skill evolving to [Hunt II] granting her a more stealthy approach, she’ll also develop the [Hide] skill making her more elusive. In addition she also want to train with the [Scythe Prop]. In this stage she’ll become and insist on being independent and will be more isolating than usual with her being inflicted with the [Lone Wolf] status so it’s recommended to spend time with her through make shift treasure hunts to prevent her from feeling lonely. Another advice if the caretaker is too busy is givee Seele a Bronya Companion which will not only speed up her stage advancement but will also prevent her from being afflicted with the [Lone Wolf] status. However be warned that Beginner Stage Seele amd Beginner Stage Bronya will fight and constantly bicker so its best to have both me Middle or Advanced Stage. Other companions that can achieve similar results include Silver Wolf and Trailblazer.

• If you ever have a hard time locating a hiding seele then just gently tap the butterfly on her box, this will cause the butterfly to glow signaling Seele to go back. Once Seele has return within close proximity of the box, the butterfly will stop glowing. Its best for the Caretaker to give Seele some food such as crab to increase affection levels as this moment is where Seele is at her most vulnerable.

•Once Seele enters the advanced stage her personality becomes more calm but still has that wild edge. She is more likely to stick around her shelter but will accompany her caretaker if she needed. She will also obtain her signature skills [Amidst the Sea of Butterflies] allowing her to enter stealth mode for a few seconds. In the advanced stage she can help caretakers locate and track things with her skills. In this advanced stage she can break up fights between other care packages and keep genera peace in the house. She can also be great puppy sitter as she can keep up with dogs energy. She also love’s outdoors and camping so its very helpful to bring her along during walks and camping trips as she can also set up using her [Camp II] skill.

•Overall Seele is a great companion to have but she is targeted to either to energetic kids or Outdoorsy adults. She can be a good beginner companion due to her independent nature.

Notes: What do you think? I hope I did well, your care package series has been running around my mind all week and I am eagerly anticipating the next the installment. I still have some ideas about other characters but this is my first one. I just love Seele cause she was actually my second five star DPS and carrier my butt through the mid game

Seele is pretty great! I love her headstrong and rough-edged personality that doesn't pity but rather pushes people on instead. I think this care package headcannon pretty much rounds it up for her! I might aswell just tag your writing under her if i ever decide to write for belobog! Haha.

OH WOW UHM. this is super late. sorry got caught up w/ life (college) and kinda lost interest in dol. however, i've been reminiscing dol lately so....

1.) honestly............ i started with high beauty and ignored the beginner warning. i just wanted a cute pc and thought i would outsmart the game. I WAS WRONG

2.) hmm... i don't know any...? i tried lowering exhibition fame but apparently thats rlly hard to do, so .... 🤷🏻‍♀️

3.) well i'll talk about mimi's case because she has the most lore (juli's lore is going through a retcon)....

she wanted to get out of the orphanage because she wanted a glamorous life. she wanted to wear pretty clothes. not the worn out ones at the orphanage.... she was sick of poverty.

but as soon as she started working, she had to keep it to herself because she didn't want to attract attention. she thought she would just blend into the background...but sadly, no matter what she did, the creeps still assaulted her. it deeply traumatized her, and now has huge issue with control

of course it was never her fault--the town's really FUCKED....but mimi doesn't see it that way. she hates herself for it. being an orphan in town puts you in a vulnerable status. she thought that she just made herself an easy target for the townsfolk. now, she sticks to her socialite status and does whatever to keep it... even to the point of choosing luxury over other orphans.

4. well hmm.. treasure hunting? 🤔 i dont know if i did it in her new save. idk if shes the type to care abt relics or history in general tho lmfao

i have two arcs for mimi: pre-schism and post-schism. for pre-schism mimi, she'll associate anyone who is "cool" (aka rich / a model like her). aka fake nice girl whos popular 😭 bc the moment your image is ruined, she'll ditch you

post-schism is when she does the town projects... basically, after being settled in the elite, she realizes she isnt fully accepted by them. so she does the town projects to gain respect... and well, you know what happens (a certain pale ghost is mad).

so this leads to mimi having a character arc. around this time i kinda dropped the game. i am NOT sure if shes the type to raise orphanage hope and rebellion here tho... sure i would check out for the lore, but lore-wise it would be so awkward. mimi has never done much to help other orphans and she SUCKS at communication. what more if they confront her.
