The aesthetics of frozen methane bubbles.
Lake Baikal is not the only lake where methane rising from the bottom freezes in the ice cover. There are many such lakes, for example, Abraham Lake in Canada. Methane bubbles rise from the depths of the lakes and accumulate under the surface of the ice, after which the ice continues to freeze and at the same time captures the rising gas. Methane bubbles in ice come in a variety of sizes - from practically invisible to the naked eye to large ones, reaching tens of centimeters in diameter and located one under the other. All this happens in layers, so the result is bizarre placers, threads, balls, cakes, etc., going deep into the waters of the lakes, which can be examined endlessly.

I was going through your Hellsing tag, and would like to propose a crack idea to square Our Jonathan and Mina with Boring Dracula Adaptation versions, especially since Integra and Jonathan both have the dark skin/pale hair combination going on.
It goes like this: van Helsing was always only van Helsing, stodgy, and more importantly, childless Dutch professor.
The Hellsings, on the other hand, are actually the Harkers, with the vampire-hunting family members borrowing van Helsing's melodramatic surname so that the mundane members of their family can live normal lives as Harkers.
That honestly lines up with an old likewise crack theory I had of 'How to explain Van Helsing getting the vampire slayer/Dracula nemesis credit rather than the Harkers' in the semi-canon novelverse
The theory amounted to 'Through a series of misunderstandings and assumptions, everyone mistook Jonathan Harker (the correct Dracula nemesis and head chopper) for Abraham van Helsing.' Because Jonathan by the end of the book does look very much like a dark shounen anime man. Black mourning clothes. White hair and burning eyes. Giant fuckoff knife. Magical cryptid transformation.
But something got lost in the storytelling--per usual--and Harker got muddled around to van Helsing because it...sounds more Dracula nemesisish? And when people came around looking for vampire help, the stodgy kooky old professor was Not the most convincing image. So somewhere back in 1890-something, they took a look at Jonathan instead in his full haunted badass mien, Dracula's blood on his kukri, and--
"Oh, Professor van Hel(l)sing, a pleasure to meet you! We need some help on the whole undead business."
Jonathan, wants to sell houses and chill with his family: "I think you have the wrong man. My name is Jonathan H--,"
"Jonathan van Hel(l)sing? Oh, then Abraham must be your father! Our mistake. So good to see the vampire hunting business is staying in the family! You should make an occult organization out of this."
Jonathan: ...
Combine that with your idea and it'd be an interesting way to somehow get the 'family' to split up into 'Hel(l)sings' (all about that supernatural shit, cool surnames and government funding for doing monster hunting) versus 'Harkers' (same bloodline but would like to maybe not get sucked into Vampire Hell as a Way of Life, thanks).

Abraham Receives the Three Angels
Artist: Ferdinand Bol (Dutch, 1616-1680)
Date: 1663
Medium: Oil on canvas
Collection: Rijksmuseum Museum, Amsterdam, Netherlands
Description
The story of Abraham entertaining the three angels is a biblical account that appears in Genesis 18:
The visit Abraham and Sarah are visited by three strangers on the plains of Mamre. Abraham offers them food and water, as was customary in the Jewish faith.
The revelation The strangers reveal themselves to be angels and messengers from God. They tell Abraham that Sarah will become pregnant and give birth to a son in a year’s time.
The warning The angels also warn Abraham that God’s judgment is about to fall upon Sodom and Gomorrah.
The hospitality Welcoming strangers like the angels is seen as welcoming God into one’s home. The New Testament says, “Do not neglect hospitality, for through it some have unknowingly entertained angels” (Heb 13:2).

I started this as reference since @heartsong1994 had some trouble remembering if Dennis was the twins' nephew or sibling and it exploded into 3 family trees. XD These are very dashed off, but these are ad simply as I could put them. They also mostly focus on Bio rather than found.
HT's first: Was just going to do one for the Drac Fam, but ended up adding one for the Loughrans too since they're also family even if I don't include them much (mostly since I focus on the Drac Fam and the Loughrans live halfway across the world from them. XD) Alot of these are self explanatory if you've seen the films. Ended up including Jack and at least Bendy and Alice since I've been shipping Jucy as something of a QPR.
Tumblr media
And the Ink Fam! The family that's even WEIRDER than the Dracula-Van Helsing-Loughrans. XD Joey technically created all of them, but @lovelylivelyv 's and I's version of the toons see HENRY, the animator who created their actual characters, as their dad since he's the ACTUAL one to have created their personalities and they have a better relationship to him than they do Joey. (The main 3...don't really like Joey.) However, I did keep Audrey, Allison, and Tom as Joey's creations. I ship Allison and Tom together, and Allison and Alice have a sister-like relationship (as opposed to Audrey and Alice's cousin relationship, since Audrey sees Henry as like an uncle) because they're made from the same mould. And of course @lovelylivelyv 's Jack is Bendy and Alice's bio son.
Note: Since this is the piss on the poor site: Joey and Henry CREATED Tom/Allison and Bendy/Alice as CHARACTERS. they're not ACTUALLY genetically siblings nor do they think of eachother as such, so shipping them isn't incest. It's a Stitch/Angel type of thing.
Joey of course dies in Dark Revival, but Memory Joey is still there. (In WIR-Verse, there are 2 versions of Joey: Real and Memory) His relationship to the others is...complicated. Audrey still loves him as a father despite snapping at him when she found out, and I imagine Allison and maybe even Henry may be persuaded too. But Bendy, Tom, Boris, and Alice do not. Jack...well, in WIR-Verse he doesn't have the personal issues with "Uncle Joey" the others have, although I imagine he wouldn't care for what he did to both his parents. In his ORIGINAL verse, he's had a much harder backstory with Joey being the main cause of he and his parents suffering...although he himself still got off pretty easy as one of the most sane and relatively harmless characters.
These took ALOT of work, I hope they're legible. XD
Inspired by both @xxtc-96xx and @mewtwoandme 's Mew family trees.
