You don't really find that sort of connection all the time with people.

Ironmouse recently talked about her experience on QSMP, and how kind all the members are. I'm posting the entire conversation instead of cutting it up like I usually would because I really enjoyed hearing her thoughts on the server.

But everybody like genuinely was nice when I first came by, and everybody has been so nice to me– not just in the game, but outside of the game, and–

Ironmouse: Something special about the QSMP is like... People wanna be your friend like outside of the game? Like, I've literally talked to ev– almost– almost everybody at least once like outside of the QSMP, like... Ironmouse: Like, I get that with VShojo a lot, like– we're all like besties, and we all like talk all the time, but I feel like it's different, 'cuz like VShojo– we're VShojo, we're like– we're our own group, but this is like... You know... You don't expect this sorta thing when you get invited to like be on some- be a part of something, you know? And it's- and it's been so– it's been so wonderful and everybody's been so GENUINELY nice to me, and I- I appreciate everybody on the server so much, and they're just some of the nicest people that I've ever met ever, and it's just–

Ironmouse: It just warms my heart, and I'm just really– really like, thankful to be a part of something so great, and something so positive! Because like, everybody's so supportive! Like– the time when like, I didn't like– I- I- I had a moment where it's like I– do you guys remember in December when I- I was not around a lot? And like, I had to take breaks and all this stuff and it turns out it was like the concert stuff? They all like would message me regularly, like, we would all keep up with each other, and we would all talk. And I remember telling them about like, how much stress I was under, and like all the- all the pressures of the concert and stuff, and– and they were cheering, and- and- and they were just so... so kind to me, it was just so– so sweet, and- and you know, I was in a group chat with a- with a few people, and they were all just so excited and- and- just super nice, and- and very- very sweet, and it's just– and it's just very– I'm sorry if I'm rambling! It's just...

Ironmouse: I dunno! I- I- I just enjoy being here, and I enjoy hanging out with everybody, and... it's just nice to meet really good people. You don't really find that. You don't find that sort of thing all the time. Don't get me wrong– it's not like I haven't met a lot of good people, like– I just feel like this whole like, my whole like– Ever, like– My streaming journey, I've just been nothing but surprised at the goodness of people? Don't get me wrong– I've met assholes and sht like that, and I've met- I've encountered some people that are NOT so nice. I'll never like, talk about it or whatever because that's their thing, and I'm just gonna do my thing and I don't wanna like, you know, spread any type of stupid drama or whatever the fck, but like... I'm just always surprised about how– how incredibly nice people are, and how genuine a lot of people are, and it's... It- it's just nice, especially since like– You're used to coming from like, a certain background and a certain like, environment where it's like, you've met a lot of like fcked up mean people in your life, and you've just been around a lot of like fckery, you know? So when- when you're around stuff that's NOT fcked, it's just like, "Woah, this is crazy! Is this- is this how life is supposed to be?!" And it's just- it's just really... it's really- it's really nice. It's very nice.

Ironmouse: Yeah, it's very refreshing, that's why I- I enjoy hanging out on here, everybody's just so nice to me. And it's not just like being nice just to be on-stream, it's nice off-stream, on-stream, friendship on-stream, off-stream, it's- it's just- it's just so- it's- it's- it's wonderful. It's wonderful. And I just have to say like... man, I'm just really thankful that like... it's crazy that like I got invited to be on here and I'm just really thankful that, you know... Quackity like, reached out to me and he's- he's just been nothing but nice, everybody- everybody's just so kind. Everybody's so nice. This is something truly special.

TikTok is now at the 'fake movie' stage Tumblr was at a few months back. Whilst we had Goncharov, they have a movie called 'Zepotha'.

For the trend, people will comment on videos to say the creator 'Looks like [Random Name] from Zepotha' and make up lore, edits and aesthetic videos based on the film, ect. It's a horror movie from the 80s. Everyone is upset the couple they were rooting for died.

#The person who made this trend literally went 'What if we all made a fake movie and commented about it haha'#So I do think they saw what Tumblr users did and just decided it was their own idea and wanted a TT version of it 💀#I could be wrong. Maybe it was their own idea #But the amount of people who steal jokes and pretend they made them from Tweets or Tumblr posts is ridiculous #Like I see one at least a few times a week and I'm like 'You literally just stole an entire thread word for word'#'With no credit to the OG posters. And pretended you made that up'#It only annoys me when it's like that #But yeah anyway here is what's happening over there if anyone is interested #Tbf I don't mind it because it is a fun trend and I like watching the videos everyone is making for this fake movie.#Like what we did here with Goncharov #But I just wish people stopped pretending they came up with it (Unless they genuinely did)#But it just seems to me like thay isn't the case since TT users love to steal from Twitter and Tumblr users 💀

Perelman Performing Arts Center: We're doing a version of Cats inspired by ballroom culture!

Me: Ok... that's definitely interesting... I could be into it... but NO still you can't make me want to see it.

#by satan i mean alw #i must say generally i have nothing but love for people who perform in cats (minus the movie. or i guess minus like 75% of the movie cast)#when i watched the 98 version i was like 'wow every single person on this stage is a quadruple threat'#since they could all dance and sing and act and do tricks too #and i adore the original costume and make-up design. totally genius. oh and the set design too.#i always just say that the cast and crew deserve a better show #i've even gone as far as to dive into documentaries about the making of cats and stuff. i still just can't get into it.#i know people love it and i love that for them. i too love weird musicals. just not this one unfortunately.#maybe in this new setting for this production i'd enjoy the show more #and boy is it trying to get me to go and see it. truly that vogueing video. i was so mad.#it was like me watching Solo and seeing them fix the kessel run mistake.#i was like 'NO. no. i'm mad. no. i hate that this is fixed. no. i'm so angry.' when i realized how they were fixing it.#like cool this is better but god i'm mad at the fact that this is better #maybe in august or if it extends AGAIN i'll go and see it. but at least for this first month of performances i won't see it #i wouldn't want to feel like i'm taking away a ticket from an actual fan who already loves the show #while i'd be going mostly to see if they can change my mind about the show #(ALSO. i did not tag this as anything. so no coming at me saying i'm putting hate in a tag)#(if this post shows up in searches then that's tumblr's fault for changing how searches and tagged posts work)#(this is barely hate this is just me being mad while complimenting artistic choices. but even if it was hate i'm still not tagging hate.)#(so don't come at me)

#so #maybe a week ago #there was a post about the doll commercial movie on my dash #and it was about how yeah the movies feminism was like 101 babys first feminism #because the audience it was aimed at arent people who have read feminist theory #so of course it was just The Basics #so that critique of it wasnt really valid or whatever #kinda like the ''are you trying to buy ice cream at the hardware store?'' idea #but more ''why are you trying to sell ice cream at the hardware store?''#and the post annoyed me but im a mature adult who does not have the energy to get into fights on tumblr so i just scrolled past #and i was trying to parse through the annoyance to figure out why it annoyed me so much #and i was thinking ''did it annoy me because i was in this post and i didnt like it?''#but i kept coming back to the two references to native americans in the film and how both were insensitive #one being the comparison of the kens implementing patriarchy to barbieland to the smallpox blankets and hence the wider genocide of natives #and the other being the barbie version of mount rushmore which you know was settlers desecrating the black hills which legally belonged to #natives and was a sacred mountain (going off memory i think the sioux the cheyenne and the lakota people all had claim)#and it was thinking about thst mixed with watching a leftist youtuber cover a prageru video that i realised why that post annoyed me so much #BECAUSE #the criticism wasnt just that the feminism in it is babys first feminism with the training wheels on #(which i also still kinda have a bone to pick with tbh but thats another post for another day)#a major part of the criticsm of the films feminist themes is that they were white feminist themes #the entire film was from the perspective of a white audience #the film was assumedly white if that makes any sense #like barbie is just Original Barbie because she just is. she was the first one and everyone came after her #at no point is her whiteness even acknowledged let alone explored #the film explores things like beauty standards and workplace misogyny and motherhood and the patriarchy in general but it dares not even #tiptoe around race. it just blatantly ignores it the way second wave feminism did. and oh does that coincide so unfortunately with the kens #strike back plot which lowkey perpetuates the myth that giving equal rights to an oppressed group will lead to them oppressing you #the lens from which the film views the world is one of whiteness and ignorance and privilege. white feminism is not feminism 101 #basic feminism should not exclude women of colour.

tumblr's music player somehow isn't working for me anymore and i'm so sad 🥺

i wanna listen to the songs that people put on my dash and it doesn't let me and i'm just sadly tapping the player with zero reaction 😔

why am i being music-blocked? why does tumblr not want me to know my mutuals?? 🥺

#just me rambling #tumblr tumblring #it's been too many days of this I don't like it 😔#I don't know what they did to all of their media-related stuff but it sucks #music not playing #gifs occasionally just turning into permanent freeze-frames when clicking on them to zoom in #or being unable to zoom in #that weird thing where you see a blurry version of the pic/gif in the background which is very visually displeasing #the fact that swiping up/down when in the pic/video viewer leads me to different frickin' videos/picture sets #like wth is this #I'm trying to view a set and don't swipe horizontally enough and suddenly I'm somewhere else entirely #I don't like it #it also feels like things get laggy a lot more quickly than before #I'm used to some lagginess on mobile every now and then but this is annoying #and then I don't even get to listen to songs anymore #yes I could write down the title and look it up on yt or something but it's not the same and also not how it's supposed to work #I want to be able to disable the swiping thing at least #the same say you can toggle whether or not you wanna be able to swipe to switch between dashes #which I hated because I kept accidentally doing it #please give me a toggle option tumblr before I go insane #and give me my music back 🥺#the app is completely up-to-date too #but that may actually be part of the problem lol

i have not updated tumblr since before they changed the icon from the halloween one and it's been not loading videos for the past few days -_-
