Konon ayam penyet berasal dari Jawa Timur, kemudian menyebar ke berbagai daerah lainnya di Indonesia. Hidangan ini kini mudah dijumpai di banyak daerah, baik di restoran kaki lima maupun di restoran bintang lima.

Untuk membuat ayam penyet, ayam terlebih dahulu dimarinasi dengan berbagai bumbu, kemudian direbus hingga empuk. Kemudian, ayam digoreng hingga matang, lalu ayam dipenyet dengan sambalnya. Hidangan ini disajikan dengan sambal tambahan di sampingnya, biasanya disertai dengan sayuran segar, tempe, tahu goreng, dan nasi.

It is said that penyet chicken originated in East Java, then spread to various other regions in Indonesia. This dish is now easily found in many areas, both in street food restaurants and five-star restaurants.

To make penyet chicken, the chicken is first marinated with various spices, then boiled until tender. Then, the chicken is fried until cooked, and then the chicken is penyet with the chili sauce. The dish is served with additional sambal on the side, usually accompanied by fresh vegetables, tempeh, fried tofu and rice.

Because so far for the last one year, there is no trolls, no troublemakers harassing and arguing on my post with ignorant comment, I gave this functional PC as followers gift. Thank you to my real followers for supporting me.

The PC is cloned from Base Game ComputerFlatScreen. The monitor is based on ASUS VY279HGR Eye Care Gaming Monitor – 27 inch FHD (1920 x 1080). Mouse is Razer Basilisk V3 35K. Keyboard is Logitech G512 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard.

I do not show the brand for more generic use.

Fully functional. The only known issue is the blinking lamp on bottom of the monitor that I cannot erase. Please ignore it.

2 Presets, no recolour channels.

2048 x 2048 pixels. You can see the graphic details on the keyboard.

EA's graphics from 512x512 with noise was enhanced to 1024x1024 with less noise and adding Simlish Hanzi to replace EA's "bad handwriting" texture on the machine maker. Click this picture below to enlarge.

Enabled to Buy Mode (Appliances > Miscellaneous Appliances), for easy access no need to type cheat "Buydebug" mode ever again.

STBL Renamed mod, from "Fortune Cookies" to "Mooncakes" translated to all languages.

ⓘ For language translations except Chinese, I use online translator to change word "Fortune Cookies" ---> "Mooncakes" & "Mooncake" depending on singular and plural context. Feel free to correct in comment section if you feel the translation and the grammar is wrong or I accidentally deleted other word.

Reason why I made the change:

Because Shang Simla is taking place in China, not American Chinatown, thus the portrayal of the cookies should be authentic of actual China in real life, not American cookies that are foreign to actual Chinese people. Fortune Cookies are U.S.A.- made cookies: American invention originating in California. History of Fortune Cookies (source: fancyfortunecookies.com) Mooncakes are cakes originated from China, dates back over 3,000 years to ancient China. Mooncakes are a traditional treat during the Mid-Autumn Festival, which is celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar.

Mooncakes are the must-eat Mid-Autumn food in China. They are a traditional Chinese pastry. Their round shape and sweet flavor symbolize completeness and sweetness. At the Mid-Autumn Festival, people eat mooncakes together with family, or present mooncakes to relatives or friends, to express their love and best wishes. Mooncakes are usually eaten after dinner while admiring the moon. History of Mooncakes in China... (source: chinahighlights.com) Fortune Cookies are made in USA and only exist in USA, but mistaken by USA people themselves as "Chinese" cookies just because the cookies are sold in American Chinese restaurant in USA. We actual Chinese live on our country have never seen Fortune Cookies, as we only know the presence of those cookies in Hollywood (U.S.A.) movies. Not just culture inaccuracy, I enabled this machine maker in Buy Mode section for easy access because this item must have been forgotten in the corner and only been played once when the player visit Shang Simla.

How to Change Default EA's Fortune Cookies to Mooncake in Shang Simla world.

Fortune Cookies maker in Shang Simla doesn't automatically change to Mooncake due to different coding in-game.

❗You must buy Mooncake Machine Maker from Buy Mode (Appliances > Miscellaneous Appliances) to load the texture first, then travel to Shang Simla world, do "Reset Textures" using Nraas' Debug Enabler.

You need to install Nraas' Debug Enabler (Core mod by Twallan) in order to work correctly ❗

Follow these steps to reset textures:

Reason why I made the change:

Egg Rolls were introduced in World Adventures Expansion Pack, as food recipe in Shang Simla, China Sims world, are actually not authentic food to depict Chinese food in China but American Chinese food in U.S.A. country instead: Cheap "American Chinese" meal with stir-fry noodles on the same plate. In China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Southeast Asian countries, the correct name: Spring Rolls, not Egg Rolls. Egg Rolls are variation of American/U.S.A. Spring Rolls in their country, because Egg Rolls were created in the U.S.A. to appeal American people (has thicker wrapper and bumpy texture) and have been staple dish in American Chinese restaurants. While we actual Asians, Chinese & Southeast Asians, call them Spring Rolls （春捲）and we put Spring Rolls on one plate separated from other food or meal or dish. We actual Asians live in Asian country do not put Spring Rolls together with stir-fry noodles on the same plate. Imagine if you put spaghetti with burger on the same plate... Shang Simla taking place in China, not U.S.A, so that was why I made the change from Americanized food that EA's The Sims 3 employees did not consult to actual Chinese people to authentic Chinese Spring Rolls that normally we eaten in real life. For your info, Traditional Chinese version of The Sims 3 World Adventures has correct name to call the Spring Rolls : 春捲 (Chūnjuǎn = Spring Rolls), not Egg Rolls.

Mesh & photography texture are made by me. Using photo texture of Chinese Spring Rolls wrapped in diagonal triangle-shaped wrapper, with yellow-golden fried colour. The texture has 2048 x 2048 pixels to ensure highest quality for The Sims food texture.

Requirement: World Adventures Expansion Pack

Sim must learn how to cook Spring Rolls (that EA The Sims 3 called them Egg Rolls) from cooking book bought in Shang Simla, China and have adequate cooking skill to enable Spring Rolls option.

⚠️ Known issues:

"Spring Rolls" rename mod only works for brand new cooked food in the game. When you already had your Sim served old EA's "Egg Rolls", then you installed this mod, the mod will not automatically change/rename "Egg Rolls" to "Spring Rolls" for existing Spring Rolls in the game. Your Sim should cook new Spring Rolls from fridge, cook, and serve, then the name of the food will change to "Spring Rolls". The same thing applied for Spring Rolls bought in Shang Simla food or any World that has food register. Your Sim should "Buy Food" to get the Spring Rolls with new "Spring Rolls" name. While the old existing food still has "Egg Rolls" name attached to the food. If you put the food in fridge as leftover before you installed this mod, the name will be "Egg Rolls" no matter what. While your brand new cooked food has "Spring Rolls" name.

The Spring Rolls thumbnail looks broken mesh with incorrect UVmapped texture because the game generates the thumbnail by itself and due to OBJD and the thumbnail source of the original EA's Egg Rolls cannot be found elsewhere, thus the thumbnail cannot be fixed. Please ignore the thumbnail, as the mod itself works very well.

TS3 - 3 STBL Renamed Mods "Asian" --> "Chinese", "Endowments" --> "Breasts", "Goopy Carbonara" ---> "Carbonara"

These 3 STBL Renamed Mods are separated, so you can choose 1 / 2 / all 3 of them. All these mods were tested and working well with each other Mods and with my previous STBL Renamed Mods in Spring Rolls and Mooncake Machine Maker.

I wondered why nobody made these renamed mods for almost 16 years since The Sims has been released from year 2009, therefore I finally made these mods by my own.

1. "Asian" --> "Chinese"

Reason why I made the change:

"Asian" term is too broad. Asia is one big continent, consists of 48 countries. Southeast Asians, South Asians, Western Asians do not eat using chopsticks and do not have traditional architecture like East Asians. East Asians themselves such as Japan and Korea have different culture and architecture from China. If the developer of this game wanted to point one country, Shang Simla, then it should be China / Chinese only. It is like calling Champs Les Sims "European" and Al Simhara "African". Champs Les Sims is called "French" and Al Simhara "Egyptian", why Shang Simla is called "Asian", not "Chinese" instead?

This mod changed the name of Asian in Game Tip, Trait, Tourist, object name of building items such as bridge and rocks that you can find in CAW (Create-A-World) for building World, but I cannot run the application. Please check the name change if you can run CAW application.

Languages are in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean only.

To be honest I am tired. If you wanted to translate to your language, you can do it by open this .package file on EasySTBLManager by (†) CmarNYC, click "Copy to Missing" > Edit to your language> Save the .package. > Open .package in s3pe > Delete unnecessary language strings if you want.

2. "Endowments" --> "Breasts"

Reason why I made the change:

This text keeps appearing many times on loading screen, so I had to change the word because the word "Endowments" itself is too forced, to censor the name of adult female human body part, in this video game with Teen Rating. Breasts are scientifically & biologically correct term to call upper part of female human body made of fat with mammary glands to give milk to her baby, and they are not genitalia. As they started to develop since young girls were pre-teen, which are the target demographic of The Sims game itself, and adult women themselves wanting to adjust both their own real life breasts and their Sims' breasts, so nothing sexual or taboo here.

Languages: All Languages. (Using online translator, feel free to comment to correct if there was wrong translation).

3. "Goopy Carbonara" ---> "Carbonara"

Reason why I made the change:

I know that "Goopy" name was from Goopy Gilscarbo from The Sims 2 character. But for me, as I have been playing The Sims 3 since the base game released in year 2009, I wanted the name of food was just like in real life. That's it. No Goopy. Just "Carbonara".

The Traditional Chinese language version did not translated directly to "Goopy Carbonara", but instead other food pasta menu and it was incorrect. 醬料通心粉 (Macaroni with sauce) --> 卡邦尼意粉 (Carbonara) While the Japanese translation it was translated directly to "Goopy Carbonara" in katakana, I deleted the グーピー word.

Languages are in English, Chinese, Japanese only.

Known issues: ⚠️ These mods may not be compatible with other STBL renamed mods made by other Modders due to accidental same instance code used by other Modders that can make other Rename mods you installed before this mod will revert back to original word.

This wall clock has 8 Wayang & Gunungan presets. Non-recolourable.

Wayang is a traditional form of puppet theatre play originating from the Indonesian island of Java. Wayang refers to the entire dramatic show. Sometimes the leather puppet itself is referred to as wayang. Performances of wayang puppet theatre are accompanied by a gamelan orchestra in Java, and by gender wayang in Bali. The dramatic stories depict mythologies, such as episodes from the Hindu epics the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, as well as local adaptations of cultural legends.

Gunungan is a conical or triangular structure (tapered peak) inspired by the shape of a mountain (volcano), is a figure in the Indonesian theatrical performance of wayang. Gunungan is used as a sign of changing plays/story stages. Gunungan can act as land, forest, roads and others by following the dialogue of the dhalang (puppeteer in an Indonesian wayang performance.)

TS3 - Red To Gold Colour Mod for TS3 World  Adventures EP’s “FountainAsia2x2″

I don’t work for Maxis The Sims 3 Studio in San Francisco, I don’t work for EA Shanghai, I’m just correcting Maxis The Sims 3 Studio employee’s job due to incorrectly and horribly wrong of Chinese dragon colour portrayal in Shang Simla’s World Adventures Expansion Pack.   

Do not just slap red colour to every Chinese object just because you think red is considered as lucky colour in Chinese culture. Especially this is statue and fountain to spurt water. To designers, please recall University subject of colour theory, culture, and art history.  

Chinese dragon is traditionally coloured GOLD. Not red. It’s obvious the employee who colored the Shang Simla’s dragon fountain must be taking stereotype from Mushu, comedic tiny red “dragon” from animated movie Disney’s Mulan (1998), didn’t consult to Chinese person at all. 

Chinese dragons are gods who control rain, weather, and seasons. 

Chinese dragons are kind, benevolent, powerful, who bring luck and prosperous. In Chinese New Year, there is Dragon Dance (the dragon has gold colour) as symbol for good luck.

Overlay --> Change colour to Gold 

Specular --> More shinier to resemble gold dragon statue in real life

Buyable object has automatic gold colour default replacement from catalogue. 

Known issues: 

There are old thumbnails unchanged on CAS mode, please ignore it. The Dragon color is still gold. 

Dragon fountain in Shang Simla doesn’t automatically change to gold colour due to different coding in-game (it has different fountain stone colour too). ❗ You need to install Nraas’ Debug Enabler (Core mod by Twallan) in order to work correctly ❗

Bangunan tradisional Bali ini dibuat karena bertepatan dengan bulan ini dimana di tanggal 22 Maret 2023 adalah Hari Raya Nyepi, yaitu hari pergantian Tahun Saka yang dirayakan umat Hindu setiap satu tahun sekali.  🙏

Don’t believe portrayal of Chinese food in Shang Simla world because Shang Simla is American Chinatown from Western perspective which the food portrayal in that World is Westernized Chinese, not authentic, wrong to us Chinese and general Asian Sims players. There is no such thing as Fortune Cookies in Chinese cuisine. Fortune cookies are American product 100%. 

Chinese cuisine is the most oldest and diverse cuisine in the world, including noodles, which was first recorded invented in China from 4,000 years ago, has been existed until modern times.  

There are so many dishes in China, because due to many regions and provinces, I cannot include all of them here. I released list of my favourite dishes, which are prominent to Southern China region. Yanwo tang (Swallow bird’s nest soup) is the most expensive one because it provides health benefits: high levels of calcium, iron, potassium, and magnesium.

TS3 - Shang Simla Forbidden City Icon MOD

One of the most fatal mistakes that EA Maxis' The Sims 3 Studio in San Francisco, USA ever done to Shang Simla, China world in The Sims 3 World adventures: Using image of Torii Gate, from Japan, for China world icon.

For 13 years after release of The Sims 3 World Adventures Expansion Pack, finally I did the fix for the icon. Creating this icon default replacement is actually difficult because

editing the vector in very small scale size. 64x64 px, 57x57 px, 38x38 px, 32x32 px, 21x21 px... 

I chose Forbidden City as icon for Shang Simla because Forbidden City is only existed in Beijing, China. Shang Simla has its own “Sim-ified” Forbidden City building in the center of the World.

I haven’t tested the whole gameplay showing this new icon, but I have already done the edit for all image icons with keyword “beijing” “china” on S3PE. If you found any icon that hasn’t been replaced, please report to me.

TS3 - Dragon Cave Colour Mod “Gold & Colourful” TS3 World Adventures 

D E F A U L T   R E P L A C E M E N T 

The 3D model default replacement was failed, so the simple recolour is the only thing that I can offer this week. 

These colours are my interpretation of Chinese Dragons. Chinese Dragons, as I described before, are gods who control rain, weather, and seasons; kind, benevolent, powerful, who bring luck and prosperity.

Chinese Dragon is more likely in the same level as Poseidon rather than Western Dragon. Cannot be compared to evil reptile beast like Western Dragon, which interpreted as dark, scary monster breathing fire.  

EA’s Maxis The Sims 3 Team gave colour to Chinese Dragon that is actually more fit to Western Dragon, because the team didn’t consult to Chinese person at all. 

Chinese Dragons are traditionally coloured gold and mixed colours. Gold dragon is symbol of wealth, power, and prosperity. The green jade colour is based on compilation of images of Chinese Dragons I saw since I was a child. Green scales skin, orange hair, yellow whiskers & brows, pale deer antlers. I’ve often seen Chinese dragon statue in jade colour, because jade green in Chinese culture symbolizes renewal, longevity, and immortality.

Known issues: There are traces of miscolour due to horrible EA’s Uvmap overlapping each other maps & exploded to outer uvmap area. Don’t ask me, but ask to EA Maxis’ employee why.

TS3 - Chopsticks Porcelain Storage 

Buyable Object not default replacement. 

Because “sculpture_AsianDinnerSet” from Shang Simla, TS3 World Adventures, is very badly made, bad mesh, too big until its “chopsticks” looks similar to Chinese incense for praying to our deity and ancestors, which is inappropriate to put on dining table, moreover, too tacky. 

Therefore, I made the proper version of storage for eating utensils on dining table with proper mesh of chopsticks and one stack of ordinary bowls and spoon for soup.      

2 presets:  

Porcelain with classic white and blue traditional Chinese colour. 1 Recolourable channel >> The chopsticks. 

3 Recolourable channels >>The inner, outer storage and chopsticks.

TS3 - Indonesian Food - Nasi Ikan Jimbaran

D E C O R A T I O N

Nasi Ikan Jimbaran, on this menu featuring ikan kembung, which is grilled Rastrelliger mackerel with sambal matah and rice. Jimbaran is name of popular beach in Kuta Selatan, Bali, Indonesia, as place to eat with romantic settings.  

Bali is name of island and province of Indonesia, located in Southeast Asia. 

This Nasi Ikan Jimbaran consists of:

Ikan Kembung Bakar -->  Grilled Rastrelliger mackerel

TS3 World Adventures - EA’s Chinese Lantern Red Colour Mod 

D E F A U L T   R E P L A C E M E N T

Traditional Chinese lantern has history of thousand years.  The traditional Chinese lantern is always red in default. With other colour variation is gold. To any non Chinese people who wants to depict traditional Chinese lantern, colour it with red colour, as this is not fancy modern lamp. 

Whoever team worked for The Sims 3 World Adventures didn’t consult to Chinese person at all, resulting fatal mistake at representing Chinese lantern. 

Buy mode catalogue shows Chinese lantern in white colour. White is colour symbolizes purity and mourning to death. Not suitable for Chinese lantern at all, where it is supposed to depict luck, joy, and happiness in red colour.    

In Shang Simla world, the lanterns were shown in orange colour. Not common colour at all. Never in my life seen Chinese lanterns in orange colour, especially white colour. Very no no no.

Changes: Overlay ---> Replace the wrong colour and dull chocolate rim with red and proper gold texture. 

Recolourable: 

1 channel: Lantern support. 

Red Lantern cannot be recoloured.

Buyable object has automatic red colour default replacement from catalogue.

Known Issues: 

if you load your Sims game straight to Shang Simla world, the lantern cannot be reset to default replacement red colour with Nraas’ Debug Enabler, it will reset to EA colour. 

❗ You must load the lantern from buy mode catalogue first! It is to load the overlay texture.   You need to install Nraas’ Debug Enabler (Core mod by Twallan) in order to work correctly ❗  

Follow these steps to reset the textures:

Visit any Sim household in buy mode > buy EA’s Chinese lantern (you can choose to not save the game) > travel or choose save game in Shang Simla world > Click on the lantern > Nraas > Debug Enabler > Options: Lantern Illuminator > Objects... > Reset Textures > (Choose one) All Sims3.Gameplay.Objects.Lighting.Mimics.LightingWallAsian or This Object
