as a man who has not only never read or interacted with the dc universe and has only had their partner ramble jason todd lore to them like. once or twice.i should not have the idea of a percy jackson/justice league crossover stuck in my head this hard.

trying to imagine the cabin counselors sitting in on meetings and absolutely causing havoc. falling over in their chairs, giving wonderful ideas like "kill that loser! throw a hairbrush at em!" about literally EVERY villain and trying to organize a capture the flag game with the JL vs CHB and/or CJ is hilarious to me

i would also love a jason todd/grace meet up. because the sillies.

voicevox humming might also be good for those looking weird metallic noisy vocal synths if they're willing to play with the unpredictability of it because i had akashi on the absolutely wrong range setting for this song and he started breaking down like faulty motor

#he shoulda been at like -10 or somewhere around there but he was at -6 #breathier gentle voices+emotions are more effective in humming if you want this echoey metal scraping sound #so like akashi and nurse type t are pretty quiet. and ryuusei has a thousand emotion modes and half of them are whispery #also unrelated since this song has a bunch of glottal stops i decided to finally check if っ works as a phoneme #it does. i dont know why i wasnt sure. its a text-to-speech software primarily and that is. an important part of japanese speech LOL #but it does work in humming which is nice! also unrelated but i just found out the technical name for っ is sokuon #my japanese teachers always just the less fancy term chisai tsu or small tsu depending on language theyre speaking in the moment #its like how i didnt know what a cedilla was called in english for years. i learned about it in school first et en français its cédille #thats how i got a little sweet taste of basic linguistic concepts as a kid in general actually. through language learning classes #you learn a grammar thing for one language and ur like holy shit. what is that. where can i learn more. and then you start googling <3

#one of my classes this term we have to give a fictional character a proper diagnosis and treatment plan from the DSM 5 #the fictional character had to be from a list of movies pre-selected #but I made a good argument for the inclusion of video game characters because of the immersive story telling element #and how the characterizations can be just as effective as watching actors on a screen #prof accepted the argument and may want to include video game characters next term #but as a consequence I'm kind of the guinea pig so she presented a friendly challenge: I give her a list of characters #she briefly goes through them via google and whichever one will probably hit most of the paper criteria and cultural/ethical considerations #is the one I have to write my paper on #hell yeah challenge accepted lady! if I can make progress for future students to write about whatever the fuck they want lets gooo!#so i gave her a list of all my blorbos #she definitely knows my type at this point and im fucking scared of how anything i say can and will be used against me in a court of law no #well the pick of the litter is Luis Serra Navarro #cause he hit most of the marks and she thought the cultural piece on his end would be a good challenge from a counselors pov + cult trauma #that list had all my husbands and wives (no joke 15+) on it so there was no way I'd lose so I felt pretty good #she remarked that she was tempted at the Ardyn and Karl types cause “he looks neat” but took one look at their info on the wiki and thought #“This man is so fucked up its gonna take more than 10 pages to cover everything lets keep it simple”#she said it nicer than me but i thought that was funny as shit (jokes on her Luis is probably gonna take up 10 depending on my bandwidth)#anyway at some point during the term im gonna have a diagnostic paper on Luis from RE4 #I might post it up here after the end of term cause I think that would be fun for people to pick at #anyway kind of a good day but also kind of a shit day but overall okay #burnout is still a bitch. I'm currently unsure whether I should be happy or stressed about the fact that there are only like 5 more weeks until the end of the semester - on one hand the summer holidays can't arrive fast enough so I can rest and have free time again but on the other hand there's still so much to finish within that time frame and ugh I'm just tired😵‍💫

At least today (or more like yesterday by the time I post this) I had a fun day, I went to a wildlife park with friends (a trip we've had planned since a couple weeks already), I'm sure I haven't been to the place in like a decade but it was really fun! I didn't think to take a lot of pictures of the animals, but here's a plush trout I got at the souvenir shop🐟

#idk why but I've somehow always had a weak spot for fish and other aquatic animal plushies in particular. they're just cute #also no joke it always makes me happy whenever I remember that as an adult™ I have the power just buy plushies for myself if I want to #even when my mum would've deemed them to expensive (which wasn't the case here this fella was like 10€ but like in general)#I dunno what this post is actually but I thought I could sometimes just talk about random things from my life #I don't have the energy for much else right now tbh. and it's my blog so I don't have to stick to a theme or just specific types of posts #I used to do this type of stuff more on instagram stories actually but somehow haven't really been feeling it the past months #better gonna go to sleep now though I'm just awake bc I'm stressing about an exam I have on tuesday #though I better should be rested tomorrow so I can use the remaining time to study for it #I'm just annoyed about it bc 1. the topic is company management which isn't something I'm particularly interested in #and 2. the exam setup is hella stupid. it's an online multiple choice test (which is fine) but you only have one try to answer each questio #and can't go back afterwards to recheck or maybe change your answers again #which just pisses me off because it's so damn stupid. like in literally every other exam situation the teachers encourage you to -#read through your answers a final time before handing it in. or just generally answer the stuff you know for sure first and then -#return to the questions you struggle with. that's nothing new that's literally the regular process to do it for exams written on paper #from what I heard it might be though because the professor of that course is generally kind of an idiot when it comes to teaching #we don't even know him properly bc we had like 2 classes with him and everything else was self-study #but apparently we're gonna have to deal with him in the coming semesters as well. yay ._.#okay this got a bit longer than intended but I needed to complain for a bit #selnia talks

#I literally just needed one thing but stayed for like 2 more hours bc I liked sitting and playing #Also listened to other people speaking for the exam stuff #Their English was horrible I wonder how would the class have changed if they didn't muss thebdays bc of work #I had a loooong ramble yesterday while playing about if I could play as a kid I would've #But that's the thing - I didn't speak English fine enough to enjoy games until I was like 14-15 #Plus that way I wouldn't have enjoyed it all now so good things ig #Playing the series in the weirdest way possible but eh I'm enjoying it #Teacher asked what was I doing two hours after I was free to go and my best answer was “learning English”#The first town in 1 AND 2 is my worst enemy bc I got lost in both :(#Even with a map AND skills of orientation and still I just kept going in circles confused #Also rambled about different battle systems I've encountered over the years in rpgs specifically #Honestly kid me not having them at all in their childhood is so sad like it was the type of game I've always wanted to play #Being 22 instead of like 10-12 is a shame despite going the route of “yay I'm reading in English” instead of “I wish I could read in Englis #Dreams come and so on and so forth idk #Still thanks to ppl at isat ss discord for the help with learning how to work with emulators and stuff #random thoughts #earthbound

But action shots of the Class 16s (of which only 10 were even built) on colour film are exceptionally rare. Rural Essex is the location for this view of a mundane mixed freight being hauled by a long extinct Class 16 (all scrapped in 1969)
