I’m really sad, because like I remember when Firefox was good.

and still had tons of support for it from like most website hosting providers, and all that.

like I don’t mean to be mean at all, but WTF happened???

Firefox works so much worse than it did like 6-10 years ago genuinely, I haven’t used Firefox in a while. I downloaded it on my computer and it is HELL to use now?

like I genuinely remember fucking loving it dearly, like what the actual fuck happened to it?

it’s laggy, it breaks websites now, and like the whole bookmarked websites bit is so trash now.

like why is it so bad now???

I hadn’t used it in a long while, like 6 or so years, nah less 5 years or something.

and what the actual fuck happened, it is so much worse then it used to be.

I literally used to ONLY use Firefox, and it’s just so clunky now.

I’m not sure if it’s because I’m on iOS rather than idk anything else, but like it just doesn’t work right.

like I shouldn’t need to be pissed about things like completely breaking and lagging extremely bad, like I’d rather be able to use the search engine and have things functioning.

otherwise what’s the actual point???

it’s genuinely so maddening because I tried, I tried repeatedly and it just isn’t the same. It just feels so bad to use now.

and I want ad free life, I want cookie free life. But it is so clunky and horrible to use now, like is it my fault?

I just wanted it to work for me and it just doesn’t, it just isn’t as good now.

so im not sure if anyones interested, but, i went through quite a bunch of totk critiques by people who were also very disappointed with it and thought id share my favorite videos i found (granted, i only really wachted those that youtube recommened and its mostly .. white men... things like the orientalism problem are not mentioned at all for example, maybe ill update this post if i find any more diverse voices)

i dont agree with every single point and also dont know most of the channels (aside from the big zelda theory guys) so i judged solely by what they mentioned in those videos and the quality of it (like the audio .. bc i cant listen to bad audio)

in no particular order, also they talk about or use footage of the literal ending stuff so if you arent done with the game yet, better leave these for now

(the following one is a podcast thing by multiple zelda theory guys, there some stuff you can skip at the start thats just kidna random things, but the video is marked with chapters)

(theres some mention of some things not making sense, like the sonau only being two, and ithink thats kinda bc the english translation was weirdly vague about that, in the german version its much more directly said that they all died out and only rauru and mineru were left of them;

also mentions of how unfitting it is to call the enigma stones "secret"stones in english might come from a similar thing; in german they where called "Mysterienstein" which would be translated as mystic/mysterious/enigma- stone

just wanted to mention that since the vast majority are gonna play it in english only and the stuff online is also dominated by english)

There is no fucking way that the devs for splatoon aren't aware of the problem, like, they even removed the votes from the sneak peek but like, they aren't willing to fix the ACTUAL problem that is the non-regional votes.

A part of me wished they had fixed that sooner because its SO OBVIOUS who would have won if it were regional, but no, it's shiver everytime and we don't even stand a chance against her :/

And the worst part is that if they do not fix this before the final fest, I fear of what it might become.

Do NOT put the blame on shiver, it is NOT her fault, you guys are blaming the wrong person, we need to address the actual problem and point the fingers at the REAL culprit and that is Nintendo for not doing anything about this, obviously Japanese people are going to choose someone who represents their culture, I almost do the same by supporting big man (I'm Brazilian), I don't vote for him often as he doesn't have the themes I tend to like, but I still like him a lot just because of that little fact.

So please, stop throwing hate at her and start trying to hold Nintendo accountable

Like forgive my "holier than thou" and "fake leftist" attitude about it but I think if you want change you have to take risks, risks that upset the status quo. Like voting 3rd party, especially when nobody (including historically blue labor unions and states) wants Biden to be president.

Conservatives are called conservatives cuz they don't want things to change. You know why? Progress always threatens privilege and their privilege is something conservatives care about maintaining. "Things are fine the way they are, not perfect but be reasonable."

Also since you asked about my praxis; The last 4 years I have: protested/taken tear gas to the face across the entire PNW, organized for BLM, helped create a police alternative in my area so people don't have to call the cops, built mutual aid networks that cross state borders, and then I caught COVID the first time. At which point I became too disabled to keep doing the same level of praxis. So then I spent a Lot of time at the doctor trying to get my new COVID-caused chronic illnesses diagnosed. I couldn't handle activity like that anymore so I shifted gears to accommodate my body. I changed my passively political Tumblr to be my main source of outreach for radicalizing that would double as a political resource for leftist newbies.

Additionally, I've posted about this before and even showed y'all my ballot but I live in Nazi Territory. There is nobody who runs for any office here that isn't a Republican or libertarian and most of the time they're unopposed, too. I regularly don't vote because I don't have anyone to vote for, let alone have a 3rd party candidate to support.

Like I said....people like this are closer to being conservative centrists than any kind of leftist. idk if anyone else experiences this, but im SO bad at like picturing a characters voice when im reading something, like i guess some people can just automatically hear character voices of what theyre reading but it doesnt happen naturally for me at all so i always end up reading everything in my own voice.. but if im reading fanfiction or a book with a show/movie adaptation, i like to look up clips and try to listen to the characters voice while reading it so i can picture it better, and suddenly the text has SOOOO much more impact with the right voice.. i feel like this is gonna sound stupid or like common sense but i swear i just feel like im missing out because it doesnt have the same effect when i read it how i normally do..

very specifically talking about saiki, because he has such a specific tone and i just can't replicate it in my head no matter how hard i try, so whenever im reading the manga or a fic, i gotta listen to clips of him talking because the experience is so. much. better.
