The first thing you notice about this home is how posts appear to prop the upper sections up at a tilt. The 2002 contemporary home in Vershire, VT is perfect for the art lover. It's not old as far as houses go, but the 4bd, 3ba home needs some TLC and a good cleaning. They're asking $499K, and you get 14 acres of property.
What a lovely entrance.
These glass doors open directly into the living room. 2 steps and a stone structure to the right are the first things you see. You may know by now how I feel about glass doors- they give me the heebie jeebies.
There's a large rounded sofa that's built-in and next to it is a wood burning stove. It's not a very big living room, but it's a cozy sitting area.
To the left of the living room there's more seating and built-in sculpted tables made to look like trees. Two more stairs come up to the dining area and kitchen. Look at the bar in the curved blue shelving on the right.
The kitchen is colorful and cute. Look at the wall of storage. Are you seeing what I mean about a good cleaning? I think that's grease on the ceiling.
There is also a half bathroom with a bit of a dizzying array of mirrors and mosaics on the walls. The blue sink vanity is also interesting.
Coming in this back door, there's a foyer set up as a mudroom.
A full bath on the main floor has an industrial kitchen drainboard sink, a shower, and a tub. The tub has a great window for watching the kids or chatting with the neighbors. And, there's also a pantry or storage area behind this room.
Whimsical stairs with artsy sculpted railings and just look at that little hobbit door.
The floors look like stained cement and the walls in this large primary bedroom have some bamboo with orange accents.
This spacious bedroom is currently empty.
This bedroom is a nice size and looks like it opens to a terrace.
Wonderfully colorful bath.
The stairs to the 2nd level and bedrooms actually lead to the pool room first. Look at all the trees and that window on the right.
The pool room has steps to a fun loft.
Look at how cute the loft is.
Looking down.
You can get to the loft this way, too.
And, here is a wonderful art studio.
A patio with a fire pit.
The mountain scenery is just stunning.
And, here's another patio on the other side.
Looking out over the beautiful acreage from the terrace.
Colorful barn with a silly moose head above the entrance.
The road to the property.

HALESTORM's LZZY HALE And JOE HOTTINGER Announce 'The Living Room Sessions' 2025 Tour
Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger of Grammy-winning hard rock band HALESTORM have announced an intimate tour featuring the two of them performing acoustic, stripped down versions of HALESTORM favorites and the music that has inspired the band. Dubbed "Halestorm's Lzzy And Joe: The Living Room Sessions", the tour consists of 12 dates in January 2025. A full list of dates is below.
A special BLABBERMOUTH.NET presale will begin on Thursday, October 24 at 10:00 a.m. local time and end on Thursday, October 24 at 10:00 p.m. local time. When prompted, type in the presale code "2025FREAKS" to access tickets before the general public. Check back here on Thursday for ticketing links to individual shows. General on-sale will be Friday, October 25 at 10 a.m. local time.
To give fans a taste of what’s to come at the shows, today Lzzy and Joe posted a sneak preview of a performance of "The Silence".
Lzzy states: "With this tour, we're inviting our fans to experience what it would be like hanging with Joe and me in our living room: picking up instruments, telling stories, chatting about songs that helped shaped us as a band and brought us to where we are today."
Joe adds: "Back when we decided to quit our day jobs and make music our full-time endeavor, Lzzy and I would play music wherever we could, and sometimes that meant playing acoustic covers in any bar or restaurant that would have us. That time really allowed us to develop our playing skills and dig into songwriting, and it really set the groundwork for what HALESTORM is today."
"Halestorm's Lzzy And Joe: The Living Room Sessions" 2025 tour dates:
Jan. 08 - Flint, MI - The Machine Shop Jan. 10 - Bloomington, IL - Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts Jan. 11 - Des Moines, IA - Hoyt Sherman Theatre Jan. 13 - Springfield, MO - Gillioz Theatre Jan. 14 - Little Rock, AR - The Hall Jan. 16 - Chattanooga, TN - The Signal Jan. 17 - Biloxi, MS - Hard Rock Live Jan. 19 - Pensacola, FL - Vinyl Music Hall Jan. 21 - Savannah, GA - District Live at Plant Riverside District Jan. 22 - Charleston, SC - Charleston Music Hall Jan. 24 - Springfield, MA - Aria Ballroom/MGM Springfield Jan. 25 - South Burlington, VT - Higher Ground
In a September 2024 interview with PK of Louisville, Kentucky's ALT 105.1 radio station, Lzzy spoke about the progress of the recording sessions for HALESTORM's follow-up to 2022's "Back From The Dead" album. Lzzy said: "We've had three separate sessions in the studio with — we're making a record with [producer] Dave Cobb. And he's actually a huge closet metal fan, and so he's really excited. And so we're making this great music, but we're constantly touring. So we've had, like, three different sessions in the studio. We're probably — what? — 70, 80, maybe, percent there. We have a studio in our house and so I'm doing a lot of the finishing touches on vocals and sewing everything up, doing solos and all that. And then we get back in in December to just say, 'Okay, this is good.' And then, yeah. And then there we are. So we're excited about it. We really are."
Cobb has shared in nine Grammy wins, including four for "Best Americana Album" and three for "Best Country Album". He's also been named "Producer Of The Year" by the Country Music Awards, the Americana Music Association (twice) and the Music Row Awards, and has been a Grammy nominee in the category.
HALESTORM and I PREVAIL recently embarked on summer 2024 co-headlining tour. Produced by Live Nation, the trek kicked off on July 9 in Raleigh and ran through August 17 in Las Vegas. HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD and FIT FOR A KING served as support. The tour was also the catalyst and the creative spark for HALESTORM and I PREVAIL's collaborative track "Can U See Me In The Dark?", which was released in June.
"Back From The Dead" has tallied over 100 million streams worldwide. Rolling Stone called the title track "a biting but cathartic howler about overcoming all obstacles," and that song as well as "The Steeple" marked their fifth and sixth number ones at rock radio, respectively. Associated Press said the album "will definitely be in the running for best hard rock/metal album of the year." Their previous album, "Vicious", earned the band their second Grammy nomination, for "Best Hard Rock Performance" for the song "Uncomfortable", the band's fourth #1 at rock radio, and led Loudwire to name HALESTORM "Rock Artist Of The Decade" in 2019.
Fronted by Lzzy with Arejay, Hottinger and bass player Josh Smith, HALESTORM's music has earned multiple platinum and gold certifications from the RIAA, and the band has earned a reputation as a powerful live music force, headlining sold-out shows and topping festival bills around the world, and sharing the stage with icons including HEAVEN & HELL, Alice Cooper, Joan Jett and JUDAS PRIEST. Additionally, Lzzy was named the first female brand ambassador for Gibson and served as host of AXS TV's "A Year In Music".

random VenturianTale oc headcanon post that no one asked for.
the oc in question being Marigold Casket. (Johnny Ghost's fraternal triplet sister)
- jimmy casket is afraid of Marigold. marigold almost always knows when Jimmy is fronting and when she does now she usually tackles him to make sure he doesnt attack anybody. So if Jimmy fronts and sees Marigold, his first instinct is to run away rather than attack anyone. especially since stabbing Marigold doesnt really do anything but make her mad.
-marigold mightve actually been a little too rough on jimmy the first time they met. (especially since in Sibling!au and Shatterverse Jimmy is more of a secretly scared feral cat who's only survival instinct is to kill and put on an act rather than a vindictive serial killer)
-Marigold was like the go too baby sitter for the Acachallas for a while bc she was the only one who never got eaten by Freddy the Dinosaur.
-Marigold and Gavin Toast like... dated for a week but broke it off on good terms bc the two of them were too socially awkward to be in a relationship <- (not a ship thing this is genuinely for the plot also i wouldnt stop having DREAMS ABOUT IT which means i have no choice lmfao)
-Marigold is the oldest of her siblings (by like a few minutes), Gregory/Johnny Ghost is the middle child, while Frank (Ghost's identical twin in this au) is the youngest.
-She's been pulled over by Officer Maloney several times but always drives off before getting the ticket and it's reached the point where Maloney just doesnt persue her. he wouldve stopped pulling her over too but she like almost has a new car that she totally didnt steal from a car rental lot like every other week so it's hard to keep track.
---also who's gonna win? a lousy cop with a squirt gun, or a self trained animalistic beast with fucking purple magic shit goin on who hates cops./hj
- Marigold has been tracking her serial killer cult leader father her whole life. and trying to locate her missing mother as well.
- She had a bad run in with said father (Timothy Casket) and got her arm lopped off permanently in the process.
-Marigold's an acalacam. (like Gavin in shatterverse,) in fact her whole family is. and Ghost and Frank would have never known if it wasnt for Marigold.
-she met Sam and Dean Winchester when she was like 13-14? (bc the Supernatural World is apart of the VT world in this au, unlike in the comic supernormal.)
-this is how Marigold Canonically met Leon S. Kennedy/hsrs (who is technically a canon VT character... technically.)
-marigold is an intersex demi girl, and maybe a demisexual lesbian im not sure but her labels are flexible
-parts of her hair has always been dual colored (like Ghost and Frank's... they take after their mother i believe) but due to experimentation she went through (similar to Gavin's except Marigold was already an acalacam to begin with) it changed some of hair purple??? somehow.
-lastly she is considered an honorary pie member. but not a full on member. since she is always on the move, tracking down and hunting down multiple people and groups while being tracked down herself. she cant stay with P.I.E. very long and become a full on member. she does visit pretty frequently though.
i sadly didnt include any headcanons from the second version of Sibling!au (sibling!au 2) where it includes some of the ocs of my friends who are apart of the second au. but maybe depending how well this post does/if people show interest, and/or if my friends think i should, ill drop a headcanon list including my friends's ocs 😏
lastly here's Marigold's toyhouse if you wanna look at her art and lore better 😌

Which Politicians Are Sticking Up for the Trans Community?
So the first issue the new Trumpfecta is tackling is trans people in bathrooms. This is actually a rather shocking priority even within the context of Project 2025, but the recent election of Sarah McBride to the House of Representatives seems to have set off Nancy Mace - and the South Carolinian got her first priority in astonishingly short order. Before you doom about the future of queer rights, here are some Democrats across the ideological spectrum who are publicly, clearly sticking up for trans people even after the election. Politicians representing states or districts that are not safely Democratic themselves are bolded.
JB Pritzker (IL-GOV) - Commemorated Trans Day of Remembrance, stated “trans rights are human rights”
Andy Beshear (KY-GOV) - Defended decision to veto anti-trans legislation
Maura Healey (MA-GOV) - Criticized fellow Massachusetts Democrat Seth Moulton for implying support of trans sports ban
Alex Padilla (CA-SEN) - Provided trans-positive statement to Erin in the Morning
Richard Blumenthal (CT-SEN) - Provided trans-positive statement to Erin in the Morning
Tammy Duckworth (IL-SEN) - Provided trans-positive statement to Erin in the Morning
Ben Cardin (MD-SEN) - Provided trans-positive statement to Erin in the Morning
John Fetterman (PA-SEN) - Implied he would rather lose his Senate seat than misgender Ms. McBride (a mandatory misgendering rule in Congress has been floated by House Republicans) and publicly offered her use of his private bathroom
Ron Wyden (OR-SEN) - Provided trans-positive statement to Erin in the Morning
Peter Welch (VT-SEN) - Provided trans-positive statement to Erin in the Morning, specifically referencing health care
Patty Murray (WA-SEN) - Stated that Democrats can win elections without “sacrificing” trans people
Maxwell Frost (FL-10) - Commemorated Trans Day of Rememberance
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) - Criticized bathroom bills
Jasmine Crockett (TX-30) - With respect to McBride, called on Republicans to “stop the bigotry”
So to my fellow Trans Americans, we’re not alone. And we don’t have to just rely on these politicians either - we have our families (found or otherwise) and each other.
Notes
This list is almost certainly incomplete - if you have a quote or statement from a politician specifically defending the transgender community, please share it so I can update the list! Several senators and governors provided statements in an article from Erin in the Morning. Erin Reed is an elite journalist, I encourage you to check her out.

VT Fun fact #4
The first VT video filmed in their second house, was Gmod FUNNY Huge Dinosaur NPC Pack Mod! (Garry's Mod)
Released on October 14, 2015, Gmod FUNNY Huge Dinosaur NPC Pack Mod! (Garry's Mod) was a sandbox video featuring all four siblings fighting off dinosaurs. The webcam background included several paintings done by Jordan's friend (and now wife) Jessica, and a tapestry of L from Death Note hanging on a door.
Characters featured in this video include Sue, Maddie Friend, Papa Acachalla, Billy Acachalla, Sally Acachalla, and Papa Acachalla's twin sister
This video has a very questionable canonicity status, as the video is mostly sandbox, but the video does feature quite a bit of characterization, including Sue clarifying that she's a girl, Maddie Friend possibly having a prosthetic hand, and Papa Acachalla having a twin sister.

#taleblr#venturiantale#VT fun fact#I will be making an addition to another fun fact regarding Papa's twin sister

Remember how Trump portrayed himself as the peace candidate during the campaign? Apparently that meant only a subservient peace with Putin.
Now Trump is sounding bellicose about Iran. He's saying that 'Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!'. FYI: Tehran has a population of 9.7 million.
Trump may think that he has to become an international war criminal to keep up with fellow dictators and dictator wannabes.
Fortunately there is bipartisan support to invoke 50 U.S. Code § 1543, a 1973 law passed overwhelmingly and overriding a veto by Richard Nixon, to curb presidential war making power. Bringing up the War Powers Resolution with the people who represent you on Capitol Hill would be an excellent thing to do now.
But whether the U.S. gets more involved than it already is, some members of Congress from both parties argue, is not a decision that should be up to the President. Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) announced plans to introduce a resolution on Tuesday that asserts the requirement of Congress’ approval if Trump wants to commit armed forces to military action in the region. “This is not our war. But if it were, Congress must decide such matters according to our Constitution,” Massie posted on X. The resolution has already gained the support of progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), who replied “Signing on” to Massie’s post. It’s also not the first proposal by a lawmaker seeking to limit U.S. military engagement in the conflict. Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) introduced a war powers resolution in the upper chamber on Monday that would terminate the unauthorized use of U.S. armed forces against Iran, given that there has not been a declaration of war, which only Congress can issue. War powers resolutions are “privileged,” meaning that the Senate is required to promptly debate and vote on the resolution. “I am deeply concerned that the recent escalation of hostilities between Israel and Iran could quickly pull the United States into another endless conflict,” Kaine said in a statement. “This resolution will ensure that if we decide to place our nation’s men and women in uniform into harm’s way, we will have a debate and vote on it in Congress.” Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) also introduced a separate bill, cosponsored by Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), on Monday that would prohibit the use of federal funds for “any use of military force in or against Iran” without congressional approval, with the exception of self-defense. “Another war in the Middle East could cost countless lives, waste trillions more dollars and lead to even more deaths, more conflict, and more displacement,” Sanders said in a statement. “I will do everything that I can as a Senator to defend the Constitution and prevent the US from being drawn into another war.”
Usually Thomas Massie (R-KY-04) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY-14) are as ideologically far apart as you can get. But they are singing from the same hymn book on this matter.
In 2003 George W. Bush had the US invade Iraq under the false claim that Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein was on the verge of using weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) against the West. During the subsequent occupation of Iraq, no such weapons were ever found.
Bush's misadventure in Iraq and the related war in Syria will eventually cost US taxpayers almost $3 trillion. The foolish invasion led to the founding of ISIS which is still active in parts of the world through local affiliates.
Wars in Iraq and Syria cost half a million lives, nearly $3T: report
The U.S. military is about to surpass 20 years since invading Iraq, a war that has cost more than 550,000 lives, and nearly $1.8 trillion, according to a report released Wednesday. The Costs of War project predicted the dollar amount will swell to $2.89 trillion by 2050, when factoring in the cost of caring for veterans of the Iraq war, and subsequent operations in Iraq and Syria to counter ISIS.
Even Trump's ex, Elon Musk, would have a hard time covering another $3 trillion exploit. It won't be multibillionaire broligarchs who will pay for a war with Iran.

For Nader (@nader3333333333), who is in Gaza and has been displaced with his family, the approach of winter brings nothing but worries and stress. The family is now living in a worn-out tent that does not provide sufficient shelter from both the cold and the rain. The family is sleeping on the cold, hard ground, with only pieces of cardboard to cover themselves for warmth!
Nader is only 17 years old. He has 3 brothers: Abdul (26), Mohammed (14), and Omar (21). Their house has been destroyed and they have been displaced for more than 9 times! Abdul and his wife Aya also has a young 1-year-old baby daughter Iman, who is suffering from malnutrition due to the scarcity and high prices of food in Gaza!
Nader's father suffers from cancer and he needs urgent medical treatment and medication to survive! However the treatment he needs is not available in Gaza, and the cost of evacuating from Gaza is very, very high.
#4 on @/gazavetters vetted list!
€33,985 raised of €50K goal!

Summary:
The Promised Day left Riza without her voice. She’s having a little trouble adjusting to her new life.
Podfic of Voice Loss by RealityBreakGirl, aka @aquietwritingcorner
Listen with music (15:09) or with narration only (14:20) at AO3
.
Recorded for Voiceteam 2024's Voice Battle Challenge (Make something that you can argue to the mods fits the title of this challenge. NO CLARIFYING QUESTIONS ALLOWED.) This is probably an angstier interpretation of the challenge than mods had in mind, but Riza figuring out how to communicate and finding her new path definitely qualifies as her battling for her voice. It's always nice when a fic you've wanted to record for awhile perfectly fits a VT challenge! Signs depicted in the cover are relevant to the story and defined in the notes on AO3 😇

Tldr; My next trans-pride flag post will jump numbers from my previous post from peak 44 to peak 53. No I didn't forget a post, no you didn't miss one, and no I didn't lose my phone this time - I just reorganized the list of mountains I'm doing
For those of you who are curious about the details:
I reworked the current list of peaks I'm climbing to be a list of 131 of the P1k peaks in the Northern Appalachians. Because of this, some peaks that I climbed this summer that were previously additional peaks are now main peaks. The reason for the change is that I need to focus my efforts and make the 131 a realistic goal for me in my life right now, which is limited by time constraints (working), geographic constraints (living only in the Upper Valley), and life plans (not wanting to spend too much more time in the Northeast (currently thinking about staying through next August or so)). What changed is that now the list is a list of 131 of the P1ks in the region (i.e. nor an exhaustive list), as opposed to the previous cutoff of 1240ft, which was an odd choice in retrospect. The current iteration of the list can be found here:
https://www.peakbagger.com/List.aspx?lid=-948013&cid=39805
That being said, I don't view the current iteration of the list as any easier than the last, I just view it as more realistic for me given that the next time I'm living in my van, I'll almost certainly go to another region and won't want linger in NY/NE for long. What this means is that I'll have a very limited time window after I'm done working to hike more in the Northeast. Meanwhile, while I'm working, I'm simply unwilling to consistently drive 6+ hours each weekend to go bag a peak in Maine or the Catskills that isn't that much more prominent than a peak in NH/VT. Make no mistake, I'm still going to be putting *a lot* of effort into these peaks - this change just makes it so that that effort is as focused and fruitful as it can be
The peaks that have been retroactively added to the main list that I've already done are:
6/131 - West Kill - July 14
20/131 - Bald - July 28
22/131 - Western - July 28
23/131 - Ragged - July 29
24/131 - Megunticook - July 29
**update 2024-04-16**
30/131 - Azure - August 7
**update over lmao**
40/131 - Sugarloaf - August 23
41/131 - Mars Hill - August 24
50/131 - Peak 2620 - October 28
The photos of these peaks I've already posted here, but if you want to see them, feel free to check out my google drive of photos:

Thanks for reading this far :P

while i’m not optimistic that nominating someone else is feasible, i do think voting for someone else in the primaries could be a loud way to tell the Biden administration “We don’t want you. What you’re doing is losing approval from people who vote democrat.” Cause they don’t ignore the numbers in the primaries. So please, if you’re American, show up for your presidential primary.

VT Fun Fact #5
The last video uploaded to VenturianTale to reach 1 million views was Can Thanos' INFINITY GAUNTLET Kill BALDI, BENDY & FOXY in Gmod!?
It was released on June 17, 2018. It currently has 1.55 million views.
No video in 2019, 2020, or 2021 ever hit 1 million views. Additionally, only 4 videos released in 2018 reached 1 million views. The other 3 were Playable Animatronics 13, 14, and 15
This video features a gamemode where one player has an Infinity Gauntlet with no stones, and the other 3 players are patrolling the area (Baldi's School in this instance) and they have to collect the stones which are hidden throughout the area. If a player catches you, they will chase you down and try to kill you using a crowbar. Once the player obtains a stone, they can use it to their advantage.
They played 5 rounds, all of which Jordan played as Thanos. He lost every round.
