Random Headcanons for: NPCs
♢ Ellie Perkins knits in her spare time. She knit her own scarf, and both Piper and Nat's scarves. She also does other things like gloves and socks, and is working on a blanket.
♢ Ellie's parents were triggermen. They both died in a shootout when she was still a teen. It inspired her to move out of Goodneighbor and begin working with Nick to stop crime.
♢ Travis 'Lonely' Miles is FTM.
♢ Kent Connolly is related to Eddie Winter.
♢ Fahrenheit's real name is Lydia.
♢ Sheng and Donny Kowalski are brothers. Sheng moved to Diamond City when their dad died and unknowingly misspelt his last name on the registration forms. Donny didn't want to leave the waterfront.
♢ The Vault-tec Rep is named ‘James Robert Smith’ and goes by Jim, Jimmy, and Jim Bob.
♢ Magnolia knows she's a synth. She already had a talent and passion for singing, and didn't want to risk a memory alteration changing that, so she just got the facechange and stays low-key. It's an additional reason to why she won't date, other than being married to her work.
♢ The two Minutemen who died at Concord were named Charles and Alice. (These were Preston's friends, and the other MM in his group were named, so these guys get names too.)
♢ As the Minutemen rebuild and Blake Abernathy is able to get farmhands to help him out, Lucy joins up with the Minutemen like she had wanted, to help stop other families suffering like hers did.
♢ Jake Finch also joins up with the Minutemen officially, taking his fathers flaming sword with his blessing this time.

Fallout 4 Theory & Fan-Headcanon: Vault-Tec Rep's Name Is Nordhagen...
after checking out the Overseer’s Logs from Vault 111, and it mentioning that someone named “Nordhagen” was missing when the entrance was sealed...
and it possibly being linked to the unused Cryogenic Pod C1.
and it not just being empty to be for the Player, even if the character they control ends up in one of the other pods.
also there are Pods from C to B, so it might be possible there could be A Pods but we might never see them.
there is a place called Nordhagen Beach, I’m not sure if I been there in Fallout 4 or not, but shouldn’t be confused for the Vault-Tec Rep who’s real name or at least his family name, being Nordhagen.
we could refer to him as Mr. Nordhagen, I can’t believe I never realized this,
that the man who is the Vault-Tec Rep who we meet at some point in the start of the game, and who we see trying to get through to go into the Vault 111, was possibly the Nordhagen that is mention in one of the Overseer’s Logs that we find in Vault 111.
this is both a fan theory as well as a fan headcanon, I’m not sure if they will ever truly confirm it, but it is still possible the game could of been hinting this whole time about the true name of the Vault-Tec Rep, or at least only part of his name, and it being his last name.
Vault-Tec Rep Is Mr. Nordhagen, who is mention to have been missing when Vault 111 was sealed, meaning he was the one that was missing and didn’t get in because of some stupid humans that kept him out, though it wasn’t fair to keep the other people that lived in Sanctuary Hills from going in Vault 111....and all because they didn’t sign up.....
maybe fans can call him by the first name “Norbert” and his full name being Norbert Nordhagen, then again maybe the name Norbert wouldn’t work for him.
so yeah, in theory it could be possible that the Nordhagen person that is mentioned in the Overseer’s Logs, is that Vault-Tec Rep, meaning that he isn’t just a nameless character and he and that Nordhagen that was missing when Vault 111 was sealed, are one in the same.
not all fans have to agree with this theory and fan headcanon, but I believe it could possibly be true and canon in Fallout 4.
oh, and for this, it’s okay to reblog this....just please don’t do anything rude and we should be fine, so yeah no need to ask to reblog this, I’m giving my okay for this one, so no need to ask.....and hope some like the fan theory and headcanon that talks a little about Nordhagen and Vault-Tec Rep being one in the same...

Characters react to…the Vault-Tec rep! 📋 ✏️
Shout out to my partner who asked this question; I had a lot to say about it.
Harper wouldn't really pay him much mind other than the fact that he's a pre-war ghoul. Maybe chat with him about having experience that didn't really apply to the Wasteland or the Commonwealth (Harper was originally penned to be the vault's chaplain, and he has sales experience. Both feel pretty useless in the Capital Wastes and the Commonwealth, respectively).
Pen just treats him like some guy! She’s less about bonding over the past and more about just hearing his stories. Pen's main thing is listening to folks and empathizing with them, and she has experience with really old ghouls due to Raul (and, to an extent, Dean). She’d buy him a drink, probably cheer him up, and not leave until he was laughing and in higher spirits.
Murk finds him boring and unrelatable--not in a mean way but in an adult that a teenager has no interest in being chummy with. She does feel a little bad about his circumstance, but he's still alive, so what's the problem? Sir, it was two hundred and ten years ago, move on. Find a therapist. C'mon, dude, we all have problems.
Tallahassee, God, she doesn’t know what to do or say. She’s...distant but still polite, especially since he clocks on who she is immediately. She feels awful that she survived and he became a ghoul, a reminder that despite all the shit that she's going through, others had it worse when the bombs fell. It wouldn't be until much later that she'd start interacting with him properly. She'd still keep him at arm's length but try to help him. After all, if it wasn't for his insistence about getting her family signed up for the vault, she wouldn't even be here.
Nate hears about him beforehand, sidles up to him, and goes, “Sir, have I got an opportunity for you." He tries to help this guy. He's very task-oriented, and approaches the problem like, "Okay you're depressed? Let's get you a job! Sales experience, you say? How about you set up a store!" He comes back and checks in on him periodically, just to see how he's doing. Is definitely on a first-name basis with the Vault-Tec rep.

Also I wanna say that Death Shroud did a really good job nailing the personalities and dialogue of every character. From the minor ones to our protagonists and antagonists, all of em were absolutely splendid.
Right now I'm a little hyperfocused on the Vault-Tec rep guy - I can understand why and it makes sense for him, but I really wish he got an actual in-canon game name. I'm finding myself actually caring about the dude and I am debating reinstalling FO4 just to say hello to him again. (Well, and all the other NPCs too.)

FALLOUT 4:
"DEATH SHROUD" SERIES UPDATE!
Check out the AMAZING artwork tumblr artist @rad-roche did for our second installment in the Death Shroud! series. This story is titled, "The Cat's Paw", and will see an even BIGGER cast of voice actors returning to reprise their roles this May to benefit Wes Johnson's VoiceAPalooza charity drive for the Alzheimer's Association.
Please note that the voice cast list may change as more people confirm, so this is likely NOT the final art.

You mentioned ghoul scent markings-- can you elaborate on that? Explain it and dump any other thoughts you have about it?
So, I feel like ghoulification would heighten all of the senses (*within the confines of what tissues can remain intact over long spans of time, like centuries; we see older ghouls, especially, with things like cataracts, etc. that would would obviously impact your perception), but the sense of smell especially. Smell is widely considered to be the "weakest" of the human senses, but if you were constantly regenerating the smell receptors that are physically closest to your brain, along with having basically one massive nostril, I'd think you'd at least smell SOMEWHAT more effectively.
I've seen people assume that, as ghouls eventually lose their noses to decay, they have no sense of smell, and (absolutely no disrespect or anything) I find that sort of funny. The olfactory sense ultimately originates in the brain, like any other sense, and the smell receptors that pick up on odors are not only found in the cartilaginous parts of the nose AKA the part that would rot off.
Scent memory is also one of the strongest kinds of memory, as the olfactory bulb that processes smells is located very close to the amygdala and the hippocampus, the memory centers of your brain. For this reason, I think that many ghouls, but particularly ferals, would be incredibly sensitive to smells, even if their particular "nose" is weak from decay. I'd imagine that ferals, as they slip further and further into the sort of aggressive, rotting dementia state we see them in, would still be able to connect with some human memories through smells. I think this may be one of the things that draws them to people so easily, even when you're trying to sneak past them.
Imagine moldering away for years and years, rational and conscious thought basically lost to you, and then, for just a breath, you smell a long-lost loved one's perfume, a favorite food you haven't tasted in decades, a fresh rain after a long, long dry spell. Just for a moment...you can remember.
All that to say that I think smell would be a very big deal for ghouls. Especially the smell of people they care about. One day, the memory of that smell may be quite literally all they have left.
I'm not sure most of them would be conscious of the fact that it's scent marking, but it wouldn't be uncommon to find ghoul lovers (ghouls who are lovers AND those who love ghouls) swapping clothing, reveling in their partner's smell enveloping them and vice versa. Taking their lover around other ghouls and knowing that the fact that the others can smell them all over you means they know you're theirs. Ghouls smelling another ghoul on you and knowing all your business without you even having to say anything.
(Plus...it's just a fun excuse to not have to pull out, you know?)

I’m convinced most of the Fallout 4 companions are touch-starved. I’ve never seen anyone hug. No one touches anyone except to kill them. They don’t kiss. They don’t hold hands. I can’t even imagine what it must be like to only ever know physical touch as a threat and not as affection. If I move to hug Preston would he recoil?
