Hi, im a 19 yo nerd, yesterday some kids wre playing with a soccer ball in front of my house, the ball got into the garden of my house and when i threw it out, i didnt nlticed i threw it a bit far and it arrived into the house across the street, breaking a window, the neighbor, a single man, came to my house and told my parents what i did, he demands i repair the window by myself, i dont know how to do that, can you give me a little help?
First of all, you do what you do best. You sit down at your computer. Enter "repair soccer window" into Google. A lot of things come up that won't help you at all. Care tips for footballs. And advertisements for household contents and liability insurance. The soccer care thing doesn't look very helpful, but it might be interesting.
Tumblr media
Shit, you can waste a lot of time on the Internet very quickly. After half an hour, you're back to the current and upcoming match day in the Premier League. But you still don't know anything about repairing windows. "Repairing windows". Perhaps it would help to remove soccer from the search query. It doesn't matter why the window is broken. It just needs to be repaired.
Tumblr media
Now we're getting closer to the point. Lots of tutorials on youtube. Surely there's something there. Unfortunately, you don't even know what kind of window is broken. And what exactly is broken. Damn, just how many different types of window panes there are. You can find an article about German windows. They have a lot of damn cool features. I wonder if that would be a market to sell and install German ones here. What this tilt function is supposed to do is still not clear to you. But these shutters on the windows are hot shit. You'd like to install something like that at your parents' house.
Tumblr media
You're guaranteed not to install something from Schüco for a few thousand dollars in your neighbor's house… You're assuming that your neighbor will have vertical sliding windows in most of the rooms, just like you do. Probably made of aluminum. A shame, really. Horizontal sliding windows made of wood with glazing bars would fit the character of the house much better.
Tumblr media
Haven't you ever worked for your neighbor? You must still have plans and views from the street side. Or at least a photo. Yes, here. Where were you standing again? How hard did you throw the ball? What was the wind like? Just because you did an apprenticeship as a carpenter doesn't mean you're stupid. So it's probably the window of the study on the second floor. Yes, it must have been rotten, you can see that quite clearly in the photo. Just replacing the glass won't help much.
Tumblr media
Nowadays, working on the computer is half the battle. Calculating material requirements, programming saws for cutting. And downloading some porn in between. Hehehe, unlike your father, you don't need to hang up raunchy calendars in the workshop anymore. Your father is hardly ever seen here anyway. It's no longer his world. In his day, a carpenter needed a hammer and a saw, he used to say. Old man, those days are long gone.
Tumblr media
Before you start, you went to your neighbor's house across the street. Real life is sometimes more reliable than virtual life. But it was the right window, you measured it again with your laser measuring device. You had miscalculated by a few millimeters. You are a craftsman with passion and dedication. You don't mess around. You deliver precision work.
Tumblr media
"Mr. T, better than before my throw," you say with a grin. But it's the pure truth. But you know exactly why your neighbor insisted that you carry out the repair. He'll do anything to get you to fix things in his house. And when no more chairs tip over and no more doors squeak, you'll take care of Mr. T. yourself.
Tumblr media
He asks if you can have a look at the shower after the window. While you take off your dungarees, you say that you are a carpenter and not a plumber. You will probably need help. You don't have to ask Mr. T for long.

Find The Word Tag Game
This is from like last week but here I am in my hotel doing it lol Thank you @imbrisvastatio and @isabellebissonrouthier for tagging me!
I won't be tagging anyone since I'm on a trip and barely have time forr this lol
My tag list: @diemohnblume @wildswrites @little-mouse-gardens @lexiklecksi @eventideintrigue (message me to be added)
The Words are: ripple, shimmer, gasp, beg, crimson // breeze, arch, please, moment, tongue
Ripple:
First, they get a story from an undisclosed creature, then they turn around and interview hunters. If supernaturals are so evil, why did you take a supposedly anonymous tip from one? Hypocrites. Anger boils inside her, making her pile of ashes on the floor ripple.
Shimmer:
When she looks up from her hand, his eyes are so intently daring into hers that she shudders. They shimmer against the dim light, and she sees his pupils are no longer their typical, vertical shape, but full-size and round. Before, it would’ve unsettled her, for he seems to see more of her than he should.
Gasp:
“Oof, idiocy…?” Danny gasps with faux offense. Then he flashes a smile up at him. “If I’m an idiot, there must be little hope for you.”
Beg:
“All wars are terrible,” Danny shrugs, taking a seat beside him, “but never enough to warrant a three-thousand-year grudge.” The old-fashioned members of Helio’s pack would beg to differ.
Crimson:
Helio does change his mind. Of course he does. By the end of the week, he’s had Danny in the backroom, Crimson’s office, Danny’s bedroom again (thrice)…
Breeze:
A swirl of dust floats on a silent breeze through what’s left of the Clément Mansion. Construction hasn’t begun yet, and there are still streaks on the pavement where firetrucks had been not long before.
Arch: (lol this one is quite amusing without context)
He forces his eyes open but it’s a mistake—Danny’s bright black irises stare at him with a look so full of deep wanting that it makes his spine arch.
Please:
“If you hear from him or see him, please let me know. But not you.” Her gaze pierces Brad with deadly ice before she turns to leave. “Mari–” Brad reaches out, but as soon as his fingers grace her skin, she snatches his wrist and twists it back, enough to make him cringe and fall silent. “You stay the hell away from him. And me.”
Moment:
Just a moment of hesitation, a moment of indecision before a sharp intake of breath. Helio takes the invitation, closing the gap between them: hip to hip, chest to chest, lips to lips.
Tongue:
He runs his tongue along the inside of Helio’s lip, finding the bleeding cut, letting another few drops of blood flow across his tongue. The werewolf’s breaths shake, too erratic for him to tell if its nerves or excitement.

When growing food in buckets, you don’t need a 1/4 acre backyard to raise a bountiful garden as some people claim. It is always best to use a brand new bucket when growing crops. Buckets get filled with all kinds of junk, fluids, and garden scraps that could kill your plants or make them harmful to consume.Article continues below.A bucket that has previously housed swimming pool chemicals, asphalt, or chemical pesticides should be avoided entirely. Plant diseases are often spread by the use of contaminated tools and containers.Plastic buckets are far more suited for growing groceries than metal ones. Metal buckets will rust and allow the rust to leach into the soil and ultimately, your food source.Want to save this post for later? It would be highly problematic to place a raised bed on your back patio, but putting two to four buckets filled with plants in the same space would be quite easy – and it will give you the same yield as a raised bed. The common and inexpensive 5-gallon bucket gives you plenty of space for the roots of most garden vegetables and dwarf fruit trees. Some plants require only six inches of dirt to thrive, but others need up to 24 inches of root space. Even when growing in buckets, you can still take advantage of companion planting to help each crop thrive and to thwart destructive insects. 5-gallon buckets are portable. Being able to move the buckets inside during weather emergencies or take them with your during a bugout will keep your food source from being destroyed and your family from starving during a long-term disaster. A suburban backyard or small acreage homestead might not seem like enough space to cultivate a fruit orchard, but it is. Growing dwarf fruit trees in 5-gallon buckets will allow you to cultivate non-native crops since they can be moved indoors or into a greenhouse. A typical backyard deck has enough space to grow enough dwarf fruit trees to garner the same yield as a small orchard. You can quickly and easily protect your container garden from the threat of frost by simply throwing sheets or a roll of plastic over it. There is far less weeding involved with a 5-gallon bucket garden than is required with a traditional ground plot or raised bed. To make the weeding chore even less taxing, place the buckets onto a bench or stool so you don’t have to repeatedly bend over to pull unwanted weeds. ConsThe only real con to growing in 5-gallon buckets, or any type of container garden, is the watering chore. The container can easily become either waterlogged or dried out. Drilling a sufficient number of holes in the bottom of the 5-gallon buckets is essential, but consistent checking of the soil for moisture or dryness will still be necessary. To check the soil of a food growing container, press a finger into the dirt down to the second knuckle. If the soil is moist at this level, you do not need to water. Many container gardeners buy or make a self-watering system for each bucket so they can tackle this ongoing chore more easily. Watch the video below to learn how.Best Vegetables To Grow In BucketsCrop Amount Beets 4 sets Broccoli 1 plant Cabbage 1 plant Carrots 10 plants Cucumbers 1 plant Eggplant 1 plant Garlic 6 bulbs Green Beans 2 plants Lettuce 4 plants Melons 1 plant Onions 4 sets Peppers 2 plants Radishes 10 plants Squash 1 plant Tomatoes 1 plant(staked or caged) Zucchini 1 plant Best Fruits To Grow In BucketsBlueberries – You will need to grow a minimum of two blueberry plants in separate containers near each other to garner a quality yield. The berry should produce from early June through August. The fruit bushes need 18 inches of soil for their roots to take hold. Grow the bushes in a peat based and acidic soil. Dwarf Banana – You can easily grow miniature banana plants in 5-gallon buckets, but you will have to move them indoors when the temperature drops below 65 degrees. Place the plants in a window that gets full sun or hang a grow light above them during the winter. Mist the plants periodically so they don’t get too dry. Figs – The bucket used to grow the fig must be 16 inches in diameter. They need well-drained soil and full sun. During times of intense heat, the figs will need to be watered sometimes twice a day so they don’t dry out. Passion Fruit – This perennial vine will only have to be planted once. A sturdy trellis will need to be staked into the 5-gallon bucket to support the weight of the passion fruit plant as it grows and becomes laden with fruit. Strawberries – Everbearing strawberries are highly recommended for container growing because they produce two yields per year – one in the early June and one in the late summer. Bucket Garden Growing TipsBush style beans are better suited for container gardening than other varieties of green beans. Bush style winter and summer squash, as well as cucumbers, are also highly recommended for 5-gallon bucket gardening. You can grow potatoes in 5-gallon buckets if you drill holes large enough fit your hand inside around the bucket from 2 inches above the base all the way to 2 inches below the rim. Follow potato barrel growing instructions to cultivate a smaller scale crop. When growing herbs, you can typically cultivate at least six plants in a single 5-gallon container. If growing herbs that do not tend to sprawl or become exceptionally bushy, like rosemary, chives, thyme, cilantro, and basil, you can usually fit 8 to possibly 10 plants without overcrowding them. Carrots must be grown in loose soil so their roots develop properly. Growing carrots in rocky or compacted soil typically produces poor results. To keep destructive insects at bay, introduce nematodes into the soil or make a super cheap insecticide soap. To make the soap, combine five tablespoons of Blue Dawn liquid dish soap with 1 gallon of water. Spray the plants in the early morning hours to avoid scorching and to give them time to dry before dark to avoid the chances of mold growth. Combine 1 part flour with 1 part salt and sprinkle the mixture onto the leaves and around the base of the 5-gallon buckets to kill bugs. The bugs will consume the mixture and it will dehydrate them from the inside out after causing them to swell immensely. The downfall to both this treatment and the insecticide soap is that it kills beneficial insects along with the harmful ones. Bucket Garden Mistakes To AvoidHere are the top mistakes that you would be wise to avoid when growing food in buckets:Want to prep but not sure where to begin?Click Here to Get Your FREE One Year Urban Survival Plan!Planting Too Many In One BucketOne of the biggest mistakes you can make is trying to plant too many plants or crops in a single bucket. Buckets have a limited amount of space, which means the number of nutrients is also very limited. More plants in the bucket will result in slowed growth and less yield overall.Choosing Buckets That Are Too SmallMake sure your buckets are at least five gallons at the absolute minimum. Even though the whole purpose of using buckets is to use up less space, you don’t want to go too small, or else the plants won’t have enough room to grow. Crops that have too little space will grow slower and also turn out unhealthy.Insufficient LightRegardless of where you choose to set out your plants, you must make sure they get enough light. You need to analyze the sun throughout the day in relation to your selected location. Leafy greens will need at least four hours of sunlight per day, while vegetables will need at least eight hours (but be careful to research the specific crop you are growing).Too Much or Too Little WaterYou will need to pay extra close attention to watering crops and plants that you are growing in buckets. Crops grown in a more limited amount of space require additional water than plants grown in larger beds. This is especially true during the hot summer months. Water your plants in your buckets at least twice a day (but again, research the specific plants you’re growing).Forgetting To PruneIf you prune your plants, you will greatly improve their yield and health. Focus on areas where the foliage is denser. Doing so will allow the sunlight to hit the leaves located underneath. As a result, the plant will focus on producing more yield rather than focusing on saving additional branches or leaves.Forgetting To FertilizeFertilizing crops is even more important in a bucket because of the limited space (meaning they use up the reduced nutrients faster). Mix in compost or fresh soil at the beginning of the planting and add liquid fertilizer at least twice monthly. How To Choose The Right Kind Of SoilNot all dirt is created equal. It is vital to the growing process that you buy or compile the right type of soil for container gardening. Even though the plants can grow in subpar dirt, the anticipated yield will most likely be far less than desired. There is a big difference between topsoil and potting soil.Topsoil is composed of dirt scraped from fields and is mixed with compost, sand, and manure – among other natural ingredients. Topsoil is designed to provide a much denser planting mixture than potting soil.Unlike topsoil, potting soil is sterilized. This significantly reduces the chance of any plant fungus or diseased matter harming your seeds or plants. It also helps to sift out other possible impurities like insect eggs, larvae, or weed seeds.Potting soil often doesn’t contain any soil at all. Potting soil varieties contain bark, sphagnum moss, vermiculite, coconut or coir husk, and peat moss. Peat moss expels water instead of soaking it up. The first time you water the 5-gallon bucket containers, they will require a bit of extra tending.Want to prep but not sure where to begin?Click Here to Get Your FREE One Year Urban Survival Plan!Mix a small amount of slow-release fertilizer with the potting soil. This type of fertilizer is always best to use in container gardening so the plants don’t become overwhelmed. Then, mix the potting soil with a bit of water, add it to the container, and repeat this until the container is full to ensure the plants garner enough moisture. When these ingredients are mixed together, they form a solid texture that helps growing roots. Potting soil offers much better drainage than topsoil, which is extremely important when growing in containers. To make your own potting soil mix together:1 part composting material 1 part vermiculite or perlite 1 part peat moss 1 part small gravel ½ part sand ½ part tiny bark chunks DIY 5-Gallon Bucket PlanterSupplies:Plastic bucket 50 – 50 compost and potting soil mix Plants Small rocks Burlap and twine – optional for wrapping buckets Power drill with a half inch bit Directions:Turn each 5-gallon bucket upside down and drill up to five drainage holes in the bottom. Never put too much pressure onto the drill when making the holes as doing so can cause the bucket to crack. If you want to paint the buckets to make them either more attractive or covert, do so now. I highly recommend scrubbing the outside of the bucket with equal parts ammonia and water to scuff up the plastic finish enough to permit the paint to adhere to it. You can also wrap some burlap around the bucket to give them a decorative look and to add a bit of insulation. Simply tie a piece of twine over top of the burlap and knot if after wrapping the covering around the bucket. Fill the base of the 5-gallon bucket with a single layer of small rocks to help facilitate proper drainage. The layer of rocks should be about two to three inches deep. Add a layer of potting soil and water it lightly. Repeat step four until you are within 1 inch of the rim of the 5-gallon bucket. Add the desired seeds or plants into the bucket. If planting tomatoes, I highly recommend planting basil at the base not only to enhance flavor but to ward off destructive insects as well. Repeat each step for all of the 5-gallon buckets you are using to establish your container garden. The video below shows what can be accomplished with a bucket garden. It is also possible to grow vertically with 5-gallon buckets to increase your crop cultivation space. You can stack buckets on top of each other to grow root crops like potatoes, onions, beets, and carrots as long as you cut wide holes into the sides of the bucket with a power drill. A clothesline style vertical setup can be used to hang two rows of buckets without casting too much shade on the lower containers. How you choose to lay out your portable garden will depend on both the dimensions of your property and the spaces which offer enough sunlight for the plants to thrive.Do not crowd the buckets too closely together. Each plant will need proper ventilation in order to reach its full potential. Spacing the buckets at least six inches apart will also make it a little bit harder for insects to traverse from one plant to another. When purchasing buckets for your container garden, try to find some that have been manufactured to food grade standards. If using an old bucket to grow crops, wash it with warm and soapy water and dry it thoroughly. Next, scrub it inside and out with distilled white vinegar to completely disinfect it. You can rinse out the bucket after cleaning it with vinegar or simply allow it to dry outdoors in the sun. Like this post? Don’t forget to Pin It on Pinterest! You May Also Like:

Downsizing Tips: Making the Most of a Smaller Space
Downsizing can be a daunting task, but it also presents an exciting opportunity to simplify your life and make the most of a smaller space. Whether you’re moving to a cozier home or simply decluttering, these tips will help you maximize your new living area and enjoy your downsized lifestyle. If you’re considering a move, Estero real estate agents and realtors in Estero, Florida, can help you find the perfect smaller space.
1. Assess Your Needs
Start by evaluating what you truly need in your new home. Make a list of must-haves and nice-to-haves. This will help you focus on what’s essential and avoid bringing unnecessary items. Consider consulting real estate agents in Estero, Florida, to find homes that match your criteria.
2. Declutter and Donate
Before moving, go through your belongings and decide what to keep, donate, or discard. Focus on items that have sentimental value or are used regularly. Donating items can also be a rewarding experience, knowing that someone else will benefit from things you no longer need.
3. Optimize Storage Solutions
In a smaller space, efficient storage is key. Use multi-functional furniture, such as beds with storage drawers or coffee tables with hidden compartments. Wall-mounted shelves and hooks can free up floor space and keep your home organized.
4. Embrace Minimalism
Adopting a minimalist lifestyle can make downsizing easier. Choose quality over quantity and keep your home free from clutter. This approach not only saves space but also creates a calm and inviting atmosphere.
5. Maximize Vertical Space
Utilize vertical space by installing tall shelves and cabinets. This not only provides additional storage but also draws the eye upward, making the room feel larger. For instance, in homes for sale in Estero, FL, look for properties with high ceilings and ample wall space for vertical storage.
6. Create Open Spaces
Arrange furniture to create an open and airy feel. Avoid blocking windows and keep pathways clear. Light-colored walls and furniture can also make a space feel larger and more open.
7. Use Mirrors to Enhance Light
Mirrors can reflect light and create the illusion of more space. Place mirrors opposite windows or in narrow hallways to brighten up the area and make it feel more expansive.

You must ensure the drum is properly cleaned and then install a spigot into the drum. Make sure to drill a hole along the top to create the overflow outlet for the drum.
o You can even repurpose your drum into a compost bin. This way you can convert the kitchen scraps and other yard waste into compost for the garden. Start by cleaning the drum to ensure there are no waste residues. Next, you must drill the aeration hole into the sides and bottom of the drum. This will facilitate the air circulation. Lastly, use a drum to contain the waste and create the compost.
o You can convert your drum into a planter or raised garden bed. This way you can make planters that are durable and sturdy. Cut the drum in half, either horizontally or vertically. You can then use holes to create the drainage system. Lastly, fill them with soil and plants.
Make sure to connect with plastic drum manufacturers in Ankleshwar to check the compatibility of the drum with the application you are planning. Use the right tools to complete the repurposing of the drums. Lastly, ensure complete safety while repurposing the plastic drums.

Brilliant Tips for the Best Tomato Harvest Ever🍅
Wood mdad™ 👤
🍅 Tomatoes have to be the most versatile fruit out there. It makes a great raw addition to any salad and may also be used in pasta, soups, sauces, and stews. And if you consume a lot of tomatoes, the prices might rapidly pile up. As a result, it may be tempting to start growing tomatoes in your own garden to supplement your diet. Growing tomatoes at home may be a delightful activity that also enhances your dining experience. But that doesn't mean it's always simple, and there's nothing more disheartening than a poor tomato crop.
Tumblr media
Any gardener, no matter how skilled, can tell you that raising tomatoes can be both a tough and gratifying project. Tomatoes are a common sight in many home gardens across the world, bursting with flavor and packed with nutrients. But as every passionate gardener knows, raising tomatoes has its own challenges, like managing pests and preparing the soil. Gardeners must use a range of strategies to make sure their tomato plants thrive and produce a tasty crop if they hope to reap a plentiful harvest.
🔵Learn with wood mdad™  visit us ! 👤
🔴 Choose wisely.
The first step toward tomato-growing success is selecting the correct tomatoes for you. Do some study to determine which kind will best suit your local climate and soil type, as well as the size and flavor of tomato you love to consume.
The correct position Tomato plants prefer warm and sunny conditions for optimal growth. Inspect your garden to see which places receive the most continuous direct sunlight, and aim to concentrate your tomato harvests there. If you are concerned about the warmth, you can shield your seedlings with plastic sheets.
Tumblr media
🔴Preparatory work Before you add your tomato seedlings, make sure your beds are ideal for their growth. Make sure the soil is nutrient-dense and filled with high-quality compost. You should also ensure that each of your plants has enough area to grow properly.
🔴 Plant deep and sideways.
The way tomato roots grow means that the deeper you can plant them, the better. Roots can grow anywhere along their stems, so the deeper you plant your seedling, the more solid and tough it will be. Furthermore, many gardeners support sideways planting, which covers the leaves to allow for maximum root growth.
🔴 Consider support.
Even if you plant your tomatoes deeply enough, you will most likely need to provide some support for them. You can use a fence or wall to grow your plants vertically, or you can construct ready-made trellises to give your tomatoes something to cling to.

7 Tips for Installing Pendant Lights Without Damaging Your Roof
Are you looking for a way to improve the looks of your ceiling? You might think of painting it, installing ceiling tiles, or having skylights. But if these ideas do not fit your taste, you can consider installing pendant lights. This kind of light can create a visual balance in your home, especially if you aim for one with vertical elements. However, you can only achieve this with the correct size and placement. With the help of roofing suppliers Sydney, here are some tips for installing pendant lights without damaging your roof:
Plan Ahead
The first thing you need to do is to plan. Never install something without any plan because it can damage things in your home. The installation day can also become chaotic since there is confusion about what you should and should not do. Before installing the pendant lights, think of the layout of your roof and ceiling to see where is the best place to have it.
Choose the Right Lights
Aside from checking your roofing and where to install it, you must also be mindful of the type and design of the light. Different styles of pendant lighting could match the theme of your home. Some even have pendant lights for outdoors, and you can also install one if you prefer staying in your garden or patio during the night. It will add life to your home, but ensure that it is safe for your roofing first.
Check Weight Limits
Before installing the pendant lights, check the weight of it on the description. You need to see if it can be supported by your roof and the materials you will use, like the hooks and clips. If not, look for a lighter option or do not proceed with the installation if you have doubts. Let roof experts have a look at the issue first and they can determine the cause of the issue. They will also help with the repair and replacement if needed to give you the lights you want.
Inspect Your Roof
Roof inspection might sound easy, but there are risks in doing the task. If you do not check your roof before installing pendant lights, you might face issues you do not know exist. Do not proceed if the shelter has damage because it can affect other parts of your home, like the walls. The roof inspection will be your way to determine the weak spots and see where you should not place the lights. Pushing the installation in a weak spot can compromise everything in your home, and it is better not to risk it.
Secure Wiring Safely
The wiring is a crucial part of the installation because the lights will not work without proper wiring. Ensure kids will not reach them or better have them hidden during the installation. Do not let walkways or hallways have tripping hazards. Instead of having something good at home, the hospital might be the one to welcome you because of your new lights.
Test the Lights
To guarantee that everything is safe and correct with the pendant lights, you should test them and give them a try before the installation. Turn them on while they are still in your hands because not knowing their condition before putting them on the ceiling could have risks. Do not put those issues in your hands by seeing their condition first-hand. Turning them on is not difficult to follow, so always remember this tip.
Monitor for Damage
Even if the installation is a success, always monitor the pendant lights for damage. They might experience issues after days or weeks of usage, and those cannot be good if left unattended and unchecked. Regular inspection will give you enough time to replace or repair them, depending on the issue.
Before installing anything in your home, ensure that you know what you are doing. These tips can help you with the installation and overall maintenance of the pendant lights. The roof and ceiling are essential parts of the success of the project, so check them always.

How To Create a Vegetable Garden with Limited Space?
Tumblr media
Do you live in a city where a garden seems to be a luxury, or do you have no space to create a beautiful garden? Worry not! Vegetable gardening is possible even if you have a small patio or balcony. A sunny location (both on the ground and in the air) is enough to create a green garden offering fresh produce.
Experts like Andrea Bellamy suggest that “everyone has more room to grow a garden than they seem to realize and it requires some creativity to witness the change.” Creating a vegetable garden is possible in the following locations:
Rooftops
Porches
Alleyways
How to maximize the space to grow a vegetable garden?
The first step is to create space to grow vegetables. Following are ways to make maximum space for your garden:
Cultivate vegetables in a vertical fashion
For locations with limited space like balconies, gardeners can opt for vining plants like cucumbers or French beans and allow their tendrils to hold on to the balcony netting or fences. It helps to save space and creates an interesting visual element.
Those with a space on a sun-facing outer wall can grow shallow-rooted veggies and herbs in their planters that can be easily mounted on the wall.
Grow the right kind of vegetables in tiny     grower pots and planters
Those gardeners who cannot grow vegetables in the garden due to limited space, low sunlight, or bad soil can grow vegetables in planters.
Gardeners can opt for dwarf plant varieties when growing vegetables in pots. One can select shallow-rooted plants like:
Radish
Lettuce
Garlic
Leeks
It is essential to provide optimal drainage as these plants require more soil than ground plants and prevent the drying of these plants.
Fertilizing plants is another essential thing you must remember when using pots and planters to grow veggies. Always use organic rose fertilizers from a reputed plant nursery in Mumbai.
Edible landscaping
Creating an edible landscape involves a creative process of growing veggies in your yard and other locations. One must try to mix herbs and vegetables in planters. These combinations create an interesting look owing to the textures and colors.
How can one select the ideal vegetables for their small space garden?
Now that we know how to utilize the space smartly, it's time to select the ideal vegetables for your vegetable garden. Here are tips to select the right plants:
Select plants that can grow well in small     spaces:     Plants with high yields in limited spaces are ideal to grow in planters or     small gardens. Opt for plants like tomatoes, basil, radish, and more.
Select plants that will thrive and grow well: Small gardens do not     allow one to experiment with different plants hence, it is essential to     pick a plant you like and tastes better when it's picked fresh. For     example, lettuce is the best option for a small space garden.
Select plants that keep replenishing: Many vegetable gardens     can yield throughout the year with the right care. Some ‘cut-and-come’     plants continue sprouting fresh leaves after the old ones are cut like     lettuce, kale, chard, etc.
 Other tips:
Grow vegetables in succession to ensure the     garden area is utilized to the fullest. Plant crops as soon as some space     is available.
You can also grow crops depending on the     seasons, starting with cold seasons to spring crops to summer veggies that     continue growing until fall. Opt for plants like beans and radishes.
Select the best companions for your plants     like succession gardening. One can get maximum yield by pairing plants     that have different growth rates.
 Final thoughts
The above tips will help you create a flourishing and yielding vegetable garden despite having limited space. If you are unsure about which plants to select or organic fertilizer use, contact Ratanshi Agro-Hortitech, a leading plant nursery in Byculla. They offer gardening equipment, pot mix, rose fertiliser, and best organic seeds online in India.

The second part of 'I'll always be holding you' is going so slowly--so here I am, indulging my impatient need for a wee bit of input by publishing a snippet.
from my Defender Strange x Female Reader fic
here be passion, a taste of angst--and soft Defender Strange
Tumblr media
Defender Stephen has returned to Kamar-Taj to discover that the woman he loves had been seriously injured and traumatized, while performing a routine exorcism. After months of mutual longing, they finally give in to the love that has flourished between them.
Your back still rested against the propped-up pillows, while you watched Stephen pull his shirt off over his head and let it fall to the floor, with that same swift grace that always left you speechless. Breathless. And filled with the desire you’d been silently denying could ever be set free. Your mind flashed back to that evening in the sauna and your first sight of him shirtless. How you’d tried so damn hard not to stare at his strong, broad shoulders and his muscular biceps and chest. You had been awestruck by the markings of his battle scars and tattoos upon first sight, but now--knowing him as a man, instead of as hero and leader and the Sorcerer Supreme—you didn’t have to forgo the urge to touch him. To memorize with your fingertips—and later, with your lips—the chronicle of his service, and to cherish each marking with the tenderness which he deserved.
You laid the tips of your fingers upon the thin, vertical scar nearby his tattoo tribute to his sister; later, in the warm and loving afterglow, he would reveal it had resulted from his first encounter with dark magic and it had been a miracle that he’d survived at all. At your tentative touch, Stephen’s eyelids fell shut while his mouth fell open with a soft moan, reminding you how touch-starved he must be. “Tell me,” you murmured, softly tracing along its length back and forth and back again, “If not now, but as our time together unfolds. Tell me the stories behind each of these…”
You laid your palm on his shoulder, to smooth you hand down onto a far fresher weal upon the firm curve of his bicep, “I want to know everything, Stephen. And thank you for every danger that you’ve faced and all the pain you’ve borne for the sake of keeping the world from harm.”
He nodded, opening his eyes to meet yours, pledging as he moved close enough to breathe light, lingering kisses on your cheeks and chin, these promises, “Every secret of my body…every truth that my soul houses…are yours for the asking, Y/N. And my heart I’ll trust to your hands alone.” Stephen was patient as he took your lips, slowly, deeply, stealing your breath. Remarkably gentle as his tongue teased yours--drawing a soft sound of relief from your mouth into his, while its thrust gradually grew more insistent. He cupped your face in both hands, again more gently than you had ever imagined he could. You’d seen how strong a man he was, witnessed his imposing physicality, yet the care he took with you now was that of a gardener nurturing the tenderest flower in his care. Your whole being was flush with joy and filled with your willingness to give Stephen whatever he might desire.
He withdrew and you both gasped for breath as one. “My darling…my precious Y/N,” he whispered as he brushed his lips onto your cheek again, softly spoiling your skin with his full, tender lips. You had slid your hand up to the nape of his neck, laying the other laid flat over his heart, lost in the sweet kisses he continued brushing on your face—until you realized he was placing them upon the half-healed cuts that marked your cheeks and forehead from your battle with the demons. Stephen trailed his lips along your jawline too, to linger softly on the bruise marking the shelf of your jaw. “Oh, Stephen…” you sighed, weak with awe to receive such loving care.
Then he moved down to nuzzle your neck and you nested your fingers in his hair. His whiskers only tickled you briefly as you got used to them and they were softer than you’d expected. As heavenly in their way, as everything about him. He’d drifted his hands to your shoulders, painting your throat with soft, moist kisses, while the warmth of his breath made you shiver, in anticipation of the pleasures to come. The give and take of the love it felt like you’d been waiting forever to share. “Mmmmmm…you’re so good to me, darling…”
“And I swear- I’ve only just begun,” he rumbled, and then nosed his way up to graze your earlobe, while sliding his right had down to cup your breast. “Oooo, sweet baby,” he panted against your ear, not even trying to hide his surprise, “You’re not wearing anything beneath this…”
“Mm-uhhh…” your lips parted with a sigh at the gentle flex of his large hand upon you, delighting you in how fully you filled it. “I wasn’t expecting company, you know…”
“Yet…here we are…at last…” The warmth of his breath on the delicate shell of your ear as he trailed off, raised goosebumps cascading across your skin and all down your arms. You felt the raw hunger of his voice as a thrill in the pit of your belly and an unmistakable need at the apex of your thighs...

The Time Being (ao3 / ffn) catflorist Summary: Time-slipping is a side effect of wielding the Rinnegan. When Sasuke slips through time, he always goes to Sakura, whether he wants to or not. 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8
pt 8: roots
"Your hair is so long now," Ino said, over a quiet dinner at Sakura's apartment. "Are you sure you don't want me to cut it?"
"It's okay, Pig," Sakura said, moving the food around on her plate.
"I'm going to miss seeing that forehead of yours," Ino said, voice bright, but she wasn't eating either.
Silence fell, and the food grew colder. Hime leapt onto the tabletop and pestered Ino for affection.
"Ino." Sakura took a deep breath. "Can you tell Tsunade-shisou and Kakashi-sensei not to worry?"
Ino touched Sakura's shoulder. "Of course I'll tell them."
The next day, Karin knocked at the door, carrying a traveling pack. Inside was a stack of Sasuke's clothes, neatly-folded with uchiwa fans facing up.
"I know a lot of his things must already be here," Karin said. "But I went by his place, and I thought you would like to have these."
"Aren't you coming?" Sakura asked.
Karin wrinkled her nose. "Jugo's found his calling. Suigetsu's students are pretty needy, and they cry a lot as it is. There's also my research. If I leave, I just know someone will ruin my samples." She looked out Sakura's window. "I think this village needs us now. We'll watch over it for you both."
When she visited Naruto, Sakura spoke directly, for his sake.
"I'm leaving, and I don't know if I'll be back," she said, hands folded on his kitchen table.
Naruto's eyebrows knit together. His features were built for joy, and Sakura did not know how to react to this sober expression.
"You're wearing the dobe's shirt," he protested quietly, staring at the floor. "Don't you want some of mine?"
Sakura let out the breath she was holding and sorted through his closet.
"Don't take that one, it has a stain…ouch!" Naruto cried, as Sakura crushed him in a hug.
"Ogenkide," she whispered to her friend. Be well even if I don't see you.
.
.
The news broke on the sixth day. Uchiha Sasuke had abandoned his mission and once more cemented himself as a rogue nin. He did not even make it to Suna.
Whether he had made the choice, or the mission's absurd structure led to his failure, Sakura didn't know. The village had what they wanted.
For weeks after, Anbu agents followed her, Team Taka, and Naruto around the village. Sakura would wake up in the middle of the night at the slightest sound––the sink dripping, Hime purring. Her chakra never ceased boiling under her skin, prepared to fight at any moment. But after it became clear Sasuke was gone, and would not attempt anything rash, the Anbu vanished.
Sakura worked without rest to establish her pediatric center. It might be her last contribution to the village, and she wanted to do it right.
A year passed before the center was built, staffed, and operational.
Sakura packed her belongings, mostly her selection of Naruto and Sasuke's clothes, and did not request a leave of absence. She said her goodbyes.
One task remained. Sakura visited the square on her way to the village gates. Facing the council building she built, Sakura understood her mistake. It was impossible to coax deep-rooted, corrupted things to grow into a more pleasing shape. It was better to tear them from the soil and start fresh.
Murmurs of creaking wood filled the night air. The council building ungrew, shrinking back to the earth. In the morning, the citizens of Konoha discovered a tree marking where their government was once seated. This was Sakura's parting gift.
.
.
As Sakura resided by the ocean, a young Sasuke appeared, again and again.
First he attacked her, then he pestered her with questions. Finally, he did not want to be around her at all. In the same moment he slipped into her home, he was already moving to slam the door on his way out.
Months passed and Sasuke's visits remained as consistent as the tides. Eventually his anger cooled to resentful acceptance. He did not even bother to punish her door. Sakura grew used to the sight of him sulking outside the house.
Beyond her long hair, Sakura made no effort to hide the uchiwa fan adorning her back. The answers to Sasuke's questions were obvious, if he cared to look, but he was blinded by pain and anger. Even if she told him the truth, he would not believe her.
One night Sakura awakened with a flash of movement outside the window. Sasuke knelt on the beach, curled over himself, shoulders trembling. The sound of his splash as he dove into the ocean broke the quiet of the night. Despite the fire and lightning in his blood, he plunged into the water like he couldn't breathe without it.
Sakura pulled the comforter from her own bed and walked down to the shore.
Sasuke trudged onto the beach. Without meeting her eyes, he accepted her offering. Soaking wet, the blanket comically large around him, for once he looked his age. The water had washed away all his defenses. A tired boy remained.
In his own world, Sakura did not know if he slept well at night, if he ate enough, if he stayed warm. When he accepted her blanket, she shivered in relief. At least in this moment, she ensured he was not cold, and alone.
.
.
Sasuke finally accepted her tea, so Sakura knew it was the last time she would see him.
"You know what this is—why this is happening. At least say that much."
Today, he might understand. Sakura decided to answer. "Yes. I know why this is happening."
"How do you know?"
"I know because you told me."
The crease between his brow softened. Sakura bit her tongue to keep from crying, Don't you see? All this time, it's you I've been waiting for.
"Sakura––" he said. As her name dropped from his mouth, he took a step closer to her own Sasuke.
He slipped away. Sakura's role was over. The rest was his to uncover.
Hime darted down the path. Sakura squinted in the sun. A dark-haired figure bent to scratch the black cat between her ears.
The wind ebbed, and the waves quieted. Even the seabirds were no longer crying.
Sakura rose. She thought she would run to meet him, but her feet were roots anchoring her to the earth. It was all too dreamlike. If he were to turn on his heels and depart down the path, Sakura would not feel a thing. She would keep waiting until she dissolved into sand and seafoam.
Sasuke tilted his head to the sea. "Do you mind if I wash, first? I've come a long way."
A breeze picked up, rustling Sasuke's clothes, lifting Sakura's long hair.
"Take your time," Sakura said. "I'll be here."
Sasuke dropped his belongings where he stood. On the beach he undressed and dipped into the waves.
When enough time passed, Sakura brought him a change of clothes. He emerged from the waves without concealing his bare body, and Sakura did not look away. He dried off and pulled on the fresh clothes. Matching uchiwa fans winked on their backs.
He pulled her close, the spell broken. His skin was damp. Sakura buried her face into his neck. Tears came slowly, then they racked her body. She shuddered with a year's worth of sobs.
Sasuke traced her spine. "I'm sorry, my love," he whispered. "It seems I've kept you waiting again."
When Sakura kissed him, he tasted like salt.
All her waiting was done. She and Sasuke were once more illuminated by the same sun, swimming through the same pool of time.
.
.
In the southernmost tip of Fire country, there was a beach where two rock formations rose from the water. A weathered house perched by the shore, next to a long wooden dock housing a rickety fishing boat.
Seasons did not change in the south, so there were other markers of time––how many repairs Sakura performed on the house, how many seashells Sasuke added to the mantle of the hearth. They trained on the beach every morning, because old habits were hard to break. Tomatoes grew especially well in the loamy soil of their garden.
It was a peaceful life. No one knew where they were. No one was looking for them.
"What are you thinking about?" Sakura asked, sitting on the edge of the dock. A black-tailed gull alighted next to her, peering at their catch of the day.
Sasuke was staring at the blue sky, his long hair tied back. "I haven't slipped in a long time."
"You look a lot like you did, when I first saw you," Sakura said. "It could happen any day now."
"One last trip, then."
Sakura could not say why, but she was certain of this, too.
Sasuke tilted his head back. "The last time Itachi and I saw each other was a day like this."
Sakura watched waves roll under the dock. In a quiet corner of Konoha, a tall stone listed the names of each slain Uchiha. No stone bore Itachi's name. He had no resting place, no marker to commemorate his existence.
Her hands quietly shaped the familiar signs. A column of wood rose up the side of one rock formation. Branches stemmed from the main trunk, sprouting foliage. Like training the limbs of a fruit tree into orderly lines, Sakura twisted and curved the branches into the shape she envisioned.
The image of a raven in flight grew into the rock face, a relief of stone, branch, and greenery. Cliffside sculpture, honoring not six Hokage, but Itachi, and all the souls sacrificed in Konoha's name.
"It suits him," Sasuke said, reaching for her hand. "Do you ever think about the village?"
"Yes," she said. "Every day. I wonder if anything has changed."
To her surprise, Sasuke smiled. There was a familiar glint in his eye.
"You know something. Don't you?"
"I know something," he said, "though it took some time to understand."
He whispered it in Sakura's ear.
.
.
When Sasuke received the Rinnegan, his stomach dropped as if he had skipped a step. On one end of that feeling, he faced a god. On the other end, he was standing on a hilltop, gazing at a Konoha he did not recognize.
The Hokage mountain was a wall of green. Trees grew straight up the cliffside, a vertical forest. Foliage and vines hung like a curtain over the Hokage faces. Here and there, the corner of a mouth, the center of a large eye, a colossal tuft of hair, poked through the vast greenery. Sasuke wouldn't describe many things as beautiful, but the word came to mind.
A dark-haired young woman with glasses joined him on the crest of the hill. She had a delicate chin and a toughness to the bend of her spine. Sasuke remained silent. He could tell, by now, when someone was expecting him.
"We added to the monument," she explained, following his gaze. "It wasn't right to destroy it. It's important to remember. But a lot has changed. This isn't a place that carves faces into cliffs, anymore."
"You're not Sakura," he said.
"No, I'm not."
"Who are you, then?"
"Sarada."
He remembered this name from a dream.
"Uchiha Sarada," she continued.
Sasuke frowned. "Prove it."
Sarada drew in a deep breath. A wave of heat scorched Sasuke's face as she exhaled the signature fireball jutsu of the Uchiha clan. Flames larger than the crowns of trees licked the air, but none of the surrounding grasses were set alight. She possessed a fine control over her chakra that he had only seen in one other person.
The flames receded. "I can activate my Sharingan if you like," Sarada offered, touching a finger to her chin.
"No need," Sasuke said, smiling. Her eyes reminded him of Itachi's. "I see it."
He slipped back to fight alongside his teammates. To shape his future.

Ever thought of making a herb garden? You should! Even better… you can grow one indoors and use it year-round.   I created a list of (what I consider) to be the easiest and ten best herbs to grow indoors.   Nothing invigorates a meal like fresh herbs, so having some on hand at all times is a must for any home chef. Don’t get me wrong, dried herbs are useful and very convenient, but if you want to kick your cooking up a level, use fresh herbs.Even if you aren’t a gardener and think your thumb may look a little more black than green, the great news is that fresh herbs can be very convenient and easy to grow. They generally appreciate lots of sunlight and low to moderate watering, making them almost a no-brainer to grow outside. young plants lemon balm much sung great way terracotta pots much water good air circulation artificial light basil plants larger potHowever, for those who live in a climate where herbs don’t survive outside during the cold months (hi, that’s me!), you’ll want to bring those babies inside to your indoor herb garden to enjoy them all year long. The ideal place to grow herbs inside is the kitchen, which often has a sunny windowsill and affords you the ability to snip fresh herbs and use them without skipping a beat (talk about convenient). If you don’t have a suitable place in your kitchen, you can still easily grow herbs indoors. Just pick any sunny room, and you’ll be set.Unfortunately, not all herbs do well indoors, so keep reading to learn which are the best herbs to grow indoors (and tips for growing them).CREATING AN INDOOR HERB GARDENCertain indoor herbs are as simple to grow as low-maintenance house plants (with the added benefit of being edible), and they are a great reminder that amazing things can come in small packages. Not only are they ultra-useful in the garden and your cooking, but growing fresh herbs indoors also freshens up your home and makes it smell amazing. Think of them as natural deodorizers. Once you start growing and using fresh herbs in your cooking, you’ll never go back. When you are starting your indoor herb garden, find an empty windowsill that gets plenty of sunlight (a south-facing window with 6+ hours of sun is ideal, but some herbs grow well in east or west windows), and you will have the perfect place to grow herbs indoors. You can find herbs seeds almost anywhere plants are sold from big box stores to specialty garden centers and online seed sellers like Johnny’s. GROWING HERBS INDOORS: THREE STARTING TIPS FOR SUCCESSPLANT HERBS IN CONTAINERS WITH GOOD DRAINAGEMake sure your planters have good drainage. Without proper drainage holes, the roots of your herbs can become overwater and waterlogged and start to rot your plants from the bottom up. You can plant new plant seedlings from the garden center or grocery store in small pots. You will need to repot into larger pots once the plants start to grow.I really like using terracotta for my herbs.USE THE BEST POTTING SOIL YOU CAN FINDYou will want to use good potting soil. Something that is peat-free and organic will give your seeds and herb plants the best start.START BY GROWING A COUPLE OF THE PLANTS YOU USE THE MOSTIf you’re like me and could eat basil all day long, grow basil. Love Mexican dishes and use cilantro like it’s going out of style? Grow cilantro. Start small, with 2 to 5 plants, while working out the kinks.THE BEST HERBS TO GROW INDOORSWondering which herbs grow best indoors? The following list of herbs is known to be easy to grow and is tolerant of growing in confined spaces. Use this list to minimize your plant selection so that you start successfully and can enjoy growing beautiful and delicious fresh herbs.BASILA must-have addition to any herb garden – use this delicious herb in your homemade pesto or on pizzas, pasta dishes, or salads.   Basil is one of the easiest herbs to grow, and one of the best herbs to have in the kitchen! Plus there are several different basil varieties you can grow indoors. Basil is an annual herb that you can start indoors any time of the year.Light Requirements: 6-8 hours of direct sunlight, in a warm south-facing window (not directly next to a cold window) Watering Needs: Water regularly; basil plants prefers moist soil Fertilizer Needs:  Give a half-strength 14-14-14 or 10-10-10 fertilizer once per week for slightly less vigorous growth but more flavorful leaves. How to Harvest and Use: If you’re only harvesting a little basil, pick off a few leaves from around the plant, rather than cutting a whole stem. If you’re collecting a larger amount, harvest from the top going down, cutting stems back by a third. Use basil fresh or lightly cooked. You can read our full guide on what to do with basil for more tasty basil tips. You can also dry your basil to store for up to a year. See: How to Dry & Preserve HerbsMINTMint is hardy and grows quickly, making it a plant best grown in a pot—ideal for an indoor herb! It is an incredibly easy herb to grow and even indoor grows like a weed.Light Requirements: Mint performs best in full sun but can do well in partial shade. Mint will do well in a window that faces south, east, or west.  Mint plants require up to 6 hours of sunlight.Watering Needs: Mint needs a lot of water. Keep soil moist and humid.  Fertilizer Needs: Feed your potted mint plant an all-purpose liquid fertilizer early in spring when you see new growth. Fertilize every four to five weeks after that, and throughout the growing season as frequent waterings will wash away soil nutrients.  How to Harvest and Use: To harvest mint leaves pinch off any size you want from the tip of the plant. For a larger harvest, wait until just before the plant blooms. The flavor is strongest when in bloom. Cut the plant to just above the first or second set of leaves – you’ll remove the lower leaves and promote bushier growth. How to Grow, Harvest, and use Mint. Popular Varities of Mint BAY LaurelUsed as a flavoring in many soup and stew recipes, bay leaf is a slow-growing perennial herb that’s great for growing in containers. Light Requirements: Bright light with full sun to partial shade, preferably in an east or west-facing window.   Watering Needs: Water regularly year-round to keep the soil damp. Make sure soil drains well.   Fertilizer Needs: Apply liquid feed fertilizer twice a month between spring and summer… Stop feeding in late summer but continue to fertilize the following spring. How to Harvest and Use: Wait for the plant to mature before harvesting the leaves. Once the plant is old enough, you can harvest leaves at any time throughout the growing season by selecting the largest leaves and snipping them off the stem. Line a baking sheet with paper towels and lay the leaves flat on the paper towels, out of direct sunlight, for 48-72 hours to dry out (which reduces their bitterness) — once dry, store in an airtight jar or sealed plastic bag for up to 1 year. CHIVESChives grow very well in containers, making them one of the best indoor herbs. Because they have a subtle onion flavor, they are a common kitchen ingredient. Light Requirements: Chives thrive in full sun, but they will grow almost anywhere. When growing chives indoors, place them in a south, east, or sunny spot on a west-window that receives at least six hours of sunshine.  Watering Needs: Chives grow best when watered frequently, and the soil is moist, as long as there is proper soil drainage.   Fertilizer Needs: A little slow-release organic fertilizer at planting time will keep them growing well for up to three years. How to Harvest and Use: Be sure to cut the leaves down to the base when harvesting. Harvest only 3 to 4 times during the first year. In the following years, cut plants back monthly. The flavor is best when used fresh, but they can also be dried or chopped up and frozen to store for later use.  OREGANOOne of the many delicious Mediterranean herbs that add great flavor to Italian dishes.   Oregano is a must-have addition to your indoor herb garden. Oregano plants are grown all over the world with different varieties that have their own unique taste profiles.Light Requirements: Grows the best (and has the most flavor) when it gets as much direct full sun as possible, such as in a south-facing window.   Watering Needs: Water thoroughly, only when the soil is dry to the touch; don’t overwater.   Fertilizer Needs: Fertilize oregano just once during the summer growing season, with a small amount of 5-10-5 fertilizer.   How to Harvest and Use: The flavor of oregano is most intense in mid-summer, just before it blooms, making it the best time to harvest leaves for drying. Oregano is stronger dried than fresh. CILANTROCilantro’s bright, distinctive taste enhances dishes with tomatoes, onions, and avocados.Light Requirements: At least 6 hours per day of direct sunlight in an east, west, or south-facing window.   Watering Needs: Cilantro grows best in well-drained, moist soil.  Fertilizer Needs: Cilantro prefers slightly acidic soil. Fertilize once the plants reach 2 inches in height. Feed every other week with a balanced 10-10-10 fertilizer. How to Harvest and Use: Harvest while the growth is low. When the cilantro grows its stalk and after the seeds drop, cut down the plant and let it self-seed. You can cut the large leaves off individually as well. For the smaller leaves, cut them off 1-½ to 2 inches above the crown. Use fresh or freeze to store. See: Different Varieties of CilantroDILLDill produces very fragrant leaves and is one of the best herbs to grow indoors.Light Requirements: Dill does best with at least 8 hours of direct sunlight per day, making south-facing windows the best option.   Watering Needs: Dill needs evenly moist, well-draining soil to thrive.   Fertilizer Needs: Dill doesn’t need additional fertilizer, but you can apply a balanced 10-10-10 fertilizer once or twice during the growing season.   How to Harvest and Use: To harvest, snip off the leaves or young flower heads for use in soups or salads. For pickling, cut whole stalks when the plant is more mature. Use fresh or freeze to store. THYMEThyme contributes a savory note that complements so many slow-simmered soups, stews, pasta, and roasted dishes.Light Requirements: Thyme thrives in hot conditions and loves the full, all-day sun — place thyme in a south-facing window for best results.  Watering Needs: Most varieties of thyme are drought-resistant, so only give a thorough watering when the soil is completely dry.    Fertilizer Needs: Feed thyme plants each spring with all-purpose 10-10-10 ratio fertilizer. Apply it at half-strength to keep the plant from producing too much foliage.   How to Harvest and Use: The more you trim your thyme, the more it grows. Cut fresh stems in the morning, leaving behind tough, woody portions and at least 5 inches of growth so the plant can flourish. Regular pruning encourages more growth. PARSLEYParsley is used in so many dishes – sauces, salads, and especially soups. Not only is parsley the perfect garnish, but it’s also good for you.  There are several types of parsley so be sure to choose the one you like to eat.Light Requirements: Parsely requires at least 5 hours of direct sunlight per day, place in an east, west, or south-facing window.   Watering Needs: Water parsley deeply whenever the top of the soil feels dry, then let the excess water run through the drainage hole.   Fertilizer Needs: Feed parsley every two weeks with half-strength liquid fertilizer.   How to Harvest and Use: Parsley is ready to be harvested When the leaf stems have three segments. Cut leaves from outside the plant whenever you need them. Use fresh or store in the freezer. ROSEMARYRosemary adds a flavourful finishing touch to many a savory dish, like grilled lamb, roasted chicken, or toasty focaccia, and its fragrant leaves will keep your kitchen smelling fresh all winter long. Light Requirements: Rosemary needs 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight each day to thrive, making a south-facing window the best option for this herb.   Watering Needs: Allow rosemary to dry out thoroughly between each watering.   Fertilizer Needs: Rosemary in pots generally doesn’t require fertilizer, but you can use a diluted solution of a water-soluble liquid fertilizer if the plant looks pale green or growth is stunted.   How to Harvest and Use: Its pine needle-like leaves grow thickly along its stems, so there isn’t necessarily a perfect spot to cut it. The plant will naturally branch off from wherever you clip it as long as you don’t clip an entire stem to the base.  There you have it! Growing herbs indoors will give you that summer-like just-picked taste to your meals all year long.    More Herb Gardening Resources:Sage Plants: How To Grow, Harvest & Use Them Guide On All Types of Sage Which Herbs are Perennials: 12 Herbs that Keep Coming Back! Alien! m6 headcanons (little nsfw)
(just a funky idea i had :P. I’m gonna be putting my own designs of how i think they would look as aliens haha. @steponmemrasra @the-yelling-cave i grant thee the aliens)
Asra
-He has six arms, somewhat pointed ears and a long tongue. He has a white deer-like tail. His hair is longer, and he often wears it in a loose ponytail draped across his shoulder. He has sharper teeth and clawed hands. He usually wears a white coat paired with a purple blouse and a tight-fitted pair of pants. He has the ability to float, but not to fly. If he falls he can hover. He does have futuristic armor, but doesn’t wear it often. His armor is white with a purple shine to it. He’s built robots to do work on his ship, and often does research on other species and such. (he needs glasses sometimes haha) This research is harmless, he merely wants to know how other beings’ minds and bodies work. He also collects gemstones from planets and places, some are very rare. His spaceship is quite large, but not that big.
-Most likely would meet you during one of his research sprees, he would take a liking to you and offer to take you with him on a trip
-Is actually very strong?? Maybe it’s because of the six arms but he can lift weights 3 times heavier than himself. He’s not buff, but i guess having six arms is an advantage
-Sleeps 12 hours a day tbh
-Very good at multitasking ;)
-Has a gigantic snake on his ship as a pet (Faust obviously)
-He loves exploring planets so try to keep up when he starts running around
-Some of the gemstones that he collected are larger than you
-Has two 🍆’s
-Will most likely use his research tools on you, for ultimate pleasure
-Great hugs
Nadia
-Has sharp horns on her head and owl-like wings. Despite not seeming so different on the surface, what’s inside tells a whole different story. Both her face and her stomach can rip open vertically, to reveal a demonic horror of a mouth. Her blood is poisonous and she has venomous fangs. Also her insides glow, including her mouth, blood and other bodily liquids. But she rarely uses her lethal abilities. She travels through space to find plants and flowers of all different sorts, species and types. When exploring, she wears her armor, which is a deep purple. She has various tools equipped on her armor. As expected, her ship is filled with a lot of plant life and flowers. It’s a beautiful sight. She’s alone on her ship, she prefers it. Less crowded, you know. She can fly, but flying is tiring. So she only does it sometimes. Her ship isn’t that big, but it’s equipped with various radars, sensors and weapons.
-She really enjoys eating fruit
-She always and i mean always smells like flowers, be it space flowers or earth flowers
-A great cook
-Might seem soft but can kill you with no effort
-When she’s in her ship, she doesn’t wear clothes, ever. (unless she has company, of course.)
-Her touch has a strange effect, it makes the person getting touched feel dreamy, in a way. It’s very relaxing and wonderful
-So imagine how warm and lovely kissing her must be
-She would meet you when gathering plants, maybe from your garden. She wouldn’t have known, because ‘gardens’ are unknown to her
-Can be incredibly direct at times
-Her skin is so soft??? Like it feels like silk but better
-Has very experienced hands ;)
Julian
-He's got 4 eyes, first of all. Two smaller ones are underneath the original ones. He has two columns of 3 holes on the sides of his neck, he breathes out of those. He can breathe out of his mouth too, of course.  So 3 holes on either side of his neck. On his body are bioluminescent lines, their shape is sharp, curled and symmetrical. Two of the pointed lines are on his jaw and a part of his cheek. (like on both sides of his face, symmetrical) The glowing color that they give is dependant on how he's feeling. He has a long, leather like tail. He usually wears futuristic black armor, when he's relaxing he wears a fullbody alien made suit, it clings to the one wearing it and it's practically like a second skin. It has a high collar (but with holes in it) and it ends at his shins and hands. His armor is shiny and equipped with various plasma guns. He has 'drones' which are mindless servants of a lower ranking than him. Their only purpose is to do what he orders them to. He's the leader on his ship. His skin isn't much different, but he's cold blooded.
-Definitely the type to just visit earth and look around for a bit (or for an order from his superior)
-If he did abduct you then it would be to ask some questions about earth or because he liked you
-Would politely send you back if you wanted to go back
-He uses a translation device to speak with you (all of the m6 do tbh)
-Since he’s cold blooded, if he gets too cold then he’ll go into hibernation... Keep him warm, skin to skin ;)
-He doesn’t understand the concept of clothing- hence the suit that hides... nothing- and is often confused about why humans wear such restrictive clothing
-Have i mentioned how gigantic his ship is? Larger than your average neighborhood, i suppose. And no, it’s not your basic ufo shape. It’s quite complex.
-Every 2 months, he goes into a heat-like state. Unless you want to be ravaged intensely, i recommend hiding. This state lasts quite a while, and he’ll be constantly restless. He might be a switch, but during this time he’s very much a top ;)
-His tail is sensitive, especially at the tip, so go wild with that
-Super ticklish on the glowing lines on his body
Portia
-She also has 4 eyes, like Julian. And a leather like tail, she’s also cold blooded. But besides that, they’re pretty different. Her skeleton is so flexible, she can make the strangest twists and turns. Her ears are pointed and orange. She can climb walls, sit on the ceiling and she has hair that’s constantly moving around. She just breathes out of her mouth and nose. She has some orange spots on her body, these spots can sprout out spikes when needed. Kinda like a pufferfish. Has sharp teeth. Her futuristic armor is a deep, dark blue and it’s equipped with various devices and weapons. Her ship is also quite big, she has a space cat and some drones. (space cat is Pepi, but with 6 legs and 2 antennae) In casual activities she also wears a skin tight body suit.
-She’s very hard to catch since she’s flexible enough to bend over backwards which is good for some experiments 👀
-She was determined to find out if humans existed, so when she found you, such an excuisite specimen, she just had to ask you to come with her.
-Sleeps a lot but not as much as Asra
-Also doesn’t understand clothing lol
-She’s so curious! She loves getting to know everything about you and your species! ‘How do you reproduce? We use test tubes.’
-Oh and she’s touchy too, both because she requires heat and because she’s interested in your body
-She just can’t help it, humans like yourself are so interesting
-Has sparkles in her hair for some reason
-She’s always got such a nice scent, kinda like fresh wool (if you’ve ever sniffed a cat you know what i mean)
-Likes experimenting a lot, she’s very curious ;)
Muriel
-He has scales on some spots of his body, like the neck, the legs, the ears and his hands. He has a scaled tail and eyes with slit pupils. He has six eyes. He also has two antennae on his head and he can create see-through dragon like wings on his back, powered by his energy. His armor is a dark green, with holes in it’s back for his wings. He travels around space to find different animal species, and befriend some, if he can. His vocal cords are different, it allows him to speak to animals. That doesn’t mean he cannot speak to you. His ship is not that big but not very small either, he’s gained a lot of pets in the time he’s been travelling, so he’s not alone on the ship. He usually wears a turtleneck sweater and a pair of pants when he’s in his ship.
-He’s not fond of fighting so he’s only brought a few weapons on his ship, to protect himself if needed.
-Most likely met you when trying to befriend your pet
-Was super shocked and embarassed, apologizing for trying to take your pet, he didn’t know it was yours
-Sometimes, when it’s dark, he glows. It only happens when the moon(s) is out though.
-Sleeps in a hammock at all times
-Would probably nuzzle you a lot
-He’s very strong (obviously) but loves hugs nontheless
-Sometimes goes flying with some pets and you
-His ship also contains a lot of plant life
-Is embarassed to say it, but tries to ask you to come with him, you’re nice company.
Lucio
-He’s got longer hair and fangs, his ears are pointed and he has 4 arms, two of which being insect like arms. He has an abdomen with a stinger on his lower back. (like an insect abdomen with a stinger) His armor is white with gold, and equipped with various swords and plasma guns. His ship is large, and filled with drones. He goes through space exploring and following orders from his superior. He has the ability to make items bigger or smaller. He usually wears a white blouse and dark yellow pants. He also has some dark markings on his skin.
-When does this bitch not try to destroy other planets
-He wants to but his superior won’t allow him
-The only reason he wants to is bc someone on that planet insulted him
-Would most likely meet you when you went to investigate the loud cursing coming from the forest -this dumbass crashlanded his ship.
-Immediately, he likes you
-Would abduct you with no shame
-Someone please teach this man manners
-Would tease you a lot
-His 🍆 has some ribs and bumps along the sides
-Knows not how to be subtle
-If he’s horny, you can immediately tell.
