Robert and Buck:

Both have terrible relationships with their dads

Have tempers

Are repressed

Become single dads

Love their kid immensely

Love a man who is not femme (which is such a nice change of pace from one character operating the “femme” and one the “masc” role)

The only difference is that Buck from 911 is the one who fiercely loves his sister

(3.) The Faceless Ones

I love the premise for this one—it’s a strong (albeit campy) serial. Jamie was characterized really well, and I loved Samantha.

It’s sad how little screen time Ben and Polly got, though. For their last serial, I would’ve loved to see more of them.

(2.) Enemy of the World

Salamander is easily one of my favourite Doctor Who villains. The side characters (like Fariah!) were well rounded and memorable, and the acting was amazing. I’d be lying if I said that Patrick Troughton playing a (kind of stereotypical?) Mexican aged well, because it didn’t. Outside of that, though, it’s a hard serial to critique.

(1.) The Macra Terror

The Macra Terror is seriously campy, and I love it for that. It uses what feels like a silly premise to create a genuine sense of danger—almost like a false sense of security?

The Macra make for fun monsters, and I love how mind control is used throughout the serial. You could probably connect Ben’s military background to the fact that he’s the easiest to like, take control of, but I won’t.

My only real problem with it is how everyone looked when they reanimated it. The animation itself was ok, but the people were.. something else. It’s not the fault of the serial, though. The Faceless Ones had the same problem.

And there's a lot more like Hulkling, Wiccan, Loki, America Chavez, Karolina Dean, Nico Minoru, Angela, Sera, Ramone Watts, Deadpool, Mystique, Hercules, Striker, Iceman, Xavin, Black Cat, Julie Power, David Alleyne, Darkveil, Star Lord I believe, Gwenpool, Rikki Barnes, Kitty Pryde, Viv Vision, Cullen Bloodstone, all of Kate Bishop's boyfriends-- there's many of them and I don't actually follow all of them or their stories but I know that there's a lot lmao
