Hi I have a question. How do you square writing/enjoying HP fanfic with the Problematic Author and how she uses her influence? This is not snarky at all, I am genuinely curious because I’ve been able to comfortably do so for a long time as Author doesn’t make anything off of fanfic and I can make the characters as queer as I want or give actual depth, redemption, and pathos to Draco. And now I’m lost. Thank you if you answer. I love your writing so much!

i think a lot of people are wrestling with this question right now, nonny, so you are in good company, if that can be a kind of cold comfort. if, however, you were hoping i had some secret silver bullet to alleviate bad feelings, i’m afraid i don’t—only a collection of thoughts, which may or may not help you sift through yours.

it feels prudent to begin with the obvious here: the author has not recently become terrible. even in the hp books themselves, bigotry of all sorts is on the page, right there in black and white—and it’s not solely from the antagonists of the series. this wasn’t a scooby doo-style villain reveal: it was the logical culmination of a decade of transphobic hate rhetoric.

the uk supreme court decision is devastating, not only because it is shunting the nation backwards with respect to trans rights, but also because that decision will trickle down through other countries as anti-trans rhetoric rises. historically, that sort of development has a domino effect—legislation to restrict queer rights, legislation that will harm both cis women and gnc people, legislation that will further entrench wealth gaps largely to the detriment of people of color.

caring for our trans community members is the perfect example of how the phrase “a rising tide lifts all boats�� can be true. trans people often exist at the interstices of multiple marginalized identities, and by making the world equitable, accessible, and safe for trans folks, we attend to the needs of the citizenry as a whole.

for us, the easiest way to hurt the intended transphobic crusade is to stop putting money towards the hp series. personally, i have not bought anything hp related in about a decade and i plan to keep that streak going. at the individual level, it may not feel like much, but enough of us have done so that the brand has lost power. we know this bc they don’t trot the author out when they release their video games or announce developments for the tv series that she’s going to be executive producer on. wb studios fully abandoned the back half of the fantastic beasts films because they were bad, yes, and also because jkr had become pr poison.

in regards to fandom, over the past few days i have seen a wide range of responses, all the way from “i can no longer write anything related to hp” to “i am here to write things that would piss her off”—and i think those feelings, and the spectrum of sentiments between them, are all reasonable. the only sentiment i do not think is acceptable is one of indifference hiding behind a “separate the art from the artist” line of logic. as someone much smarter than me put it, “separate the art from the artist” is often used as a bromide to protect ourselves from having tough conversations about whether that nastiness was in the art all along. in this case, it was.

that being said, i do think there is room for nuance here in that fanfic is free and generates no income for the author. that’s not to handwave this problem, however: i also think that fandom is political, and how we engage in it shows what we believe. as senlinyu once put it, fanfic can be your 95 theses nailed to the wittenberg door. it can be your phd dissertation on all the ways the original ip falls short. it can be your Bad Feelings Box—the place where you are sorting through your own emotions and what you’re learning and processing as you grow. it can be playing with barbies in a way that celebrates the beauty of the queer community, that demonstrates the richness of disability culture, that upholds the dignity of trans people, that puts characters of color front and center.

when i write fanfic, i do so in the fullness of my queer identity. with rare exceptions of the narratively-necessary variety, everyone is welcoming and affirming. and, besides my advent piece which was a game of word count chess, i very intentionally include trans characters in all of my hp fics who range from background characters, to characters who show up for one or two scenes, to characters who are integral parts of the story. regardless of which category they fall into, my trans characters are (if i’ve done my job right) imbued with the dignity, hotness, interiority, and power they deserve. that is my fanfic level of rebellion.

i also pair that with my real life activism, which is in the classroom. my time and efforts are spent trying to cultivate the skills of critical thinking, metacognition, and empathy in my students. i’m not 100% effective at it—would that i could be!!—but training the next generation to think beyond their own experiences and to understand how they have power that can make the world a better place is my activist project. for better or for worse, my work is there, and my Work is there, as well.

for me, knowing that i’m doing all that i personally can to combat transphobia and make the world a better, fairer, kinder place is enough.

it may be that it is not enough for some people, and i think that’s understandable, too. if this is your line in the sand moment, it is a 100% reasonable one. the uk supreme court decision was bought and paid for with nefarious intent and celebrated with malicious glee. it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or powerless in a moment like this, and taking a stand by saying “i won’t engage with this any longer” is one way combat that.

at times when i feel powerless, i volunteer. i put my money, time, and talents where my yapping mouth is. i go back to the words of my queer ancestors, whose bravery and defiance allow me to sit here, making my little stories, living my gay life. without indomitable trans women like marsha p johnson and sylvia rivera, i would never have been able to marry my spouse, to know that we will have access to gender-affirming care, or to know that when one of us passes, the other will be legally recognized as next of kin. but honoring the queer liberation movement and their tenacity with where i spend my time, my income, is only part of the equation: educating myself, getting involved in my community, and contributing to the cause of revolution are the other, more long term, less glamorous, and equally crucial parts.

there is no liberation without trans and queer liberation. no freedom without a free palestine. no equality without equity. all these struggles are connected.

all that to say: i think that feeling like you can no longer tolerate any participation in hp fandom is a reasonable and valid response, just as i think that spite-writing gayer, more trans-celebratory fic is a reasonable and valid response, too. only you can decide what will allow you to look in the mirror and still be at peace with yourself and your actions.

Three Random Facts!

I got tagged by the lovely @surely-sims and my fashionable bestie @magnoliapromenadegalleria to share 3 random facts about myself!

I've been playing The Sims since its release date. I followed its development as best as I could at that time and it was released days after my eleventh birthday (and yet I'm still twenty three), so I ran (first and last cardio ever) to Elecronics Boutique (that's GAME to you 👵🏻) to get it and I loved it ever since. I remember my first sim was a skinny old lady (cardigan and skirt combo) with a bun and glasses.

I volunteer at a trans support group. I was getting more and more pissed off with the toxic media and attitudes on this heinous island and also further afield, so I decided to do my part in supporting trans people by volunteering at a local group. I've made some amazing friends and also learned a lot in the process.

I collect and restore vintage Barbies. I've always had an absolute love of and fascination with Barbie, so naturally I fell down a Youtube rabbithole in lockdown and ended up watching restoration videos. I ran out of videos and wondered if I could do it myself, so I bought my first bubble cut Barbie fairly cheap due to damage and fully restored her. Should I have picked an easier Barbie for my first attempt? Probably. I managed to do what I wanted to do though.

Part 1: The Timeline of The Sims

Welcome to the first entry of The Sims Mysteries! I’ve been wanting to give my take of the story of The Sims for a while, and to start a conversation with other Simmers about what their theories are for the countless lore debates that are out there. First though, here’s some context:

There’s a Sims movie in production! Margot Robbie’s production company, LuckyChap, has started work on one, which we heard about last week. I’m super excited! However it turns out, I’ve always wanted to see a live action Sims movie, and I personally have high hopes for it. So far we know the movie is not going to be largely based on the game lore, but now’s as good a time as any to give my two cents on the various inconsistencies in The Sims canon.

As with Barbie, I can imagine the movie will deviate somewhat from what the fans consider canon and will not actually focus on lore at all, but on the simulation aspect of The Sims just as how Barbie focused on the dissonance between the real world and Barbieland. Today, I’m going to start with the topic I feel most strongly about: the timeline order of The Sims. If you take away one thing from this post, let it be that the story of The Sims does not take place in alternate universes or timelines. Take a look under the cut to read my explanation!

When The Sims 4 came out, the alternate universe theory was used as the main explanation for inconsistencies in the lore, specifically regarding sims’ ages. For some reason, this explanation was set in stone as canon without question. A lot of the confusion surrounding the timeline arose due to the assumption that The Sims 4 would take place after The Sims 2; at that point the latest established point on the timeline. Also, there seems to be a figure that’s cited often whenever simmers refer to the timeline; that there are two 25 year time jumps between The Sims 3, The Sims, and The Sims 2. I haven’t been able to find a source for this fact, though. If you know where it’s from, please send a link my way! I presume that it’s not as canonical as it’s considered to be, and in any case it’s a very rigid timescale which is incompatible with the stories of most if not all sims.

I want to recognize the fact that I think The Sims 4 has started taking its lore more seriously. The story of Robert Crumplebottom turned Roberto Crinkletop shown in a promotional video for Horse Ranch is exactly the kind of small scale but significant lore that I personally love! It truly gave me an impression that the developers care about the stories of our favourite sims. Just because The Sims 4 base game is not a neat addition to the canon we all know and love, that does not mean we should resort to the alternate universe explanation. Personally, I see alternate universe explanations of lore as lazy and messy world building, at least if a story doesn’t start out with a theme of alternate universes in the first place. It just seems like a sign that the developers or writers between different entries in a franchise were not in sync with each other or didn’t care enough about the story as long as the same characters were used. In any case, it’s more challenging, and in my opinion more interesting, to put together a unified story from a franchise that is on the brink of being explained away as a multiverse.

In a sentence, since the developers didn’t give us a clean slice of lore, it’s up to us simmers to put the story together. As you may know, this is the current most popular theory of the chronological order between the mainline Sims games based on lore:

Here is what I think the timeline should be:

So yes, all Sims games (including all spin-offs) are in the same canon and timeline in my eyes. The confusion comes from multiple inconsistencies introduced in The Sims 4, but as I said the main factor is the age of sims.

Originally, the main reason I was going to give for the inconsistencies in age was the Elixir of Life. We know that the Elixir of Life is an item in The Sims 2 which has the ability to prolong a Sim’s life in their current life stage, thought to be invented by Mortimer Goth. When it comes to aging inconsistencies, I think this makes for a much more elegant resolution than branching off a whole alternate universe. Anti-aging potions might not seem like a good solution for realism-oriented simmers, but at the end of the day something like an Elixir of Life is exactly in tune with the unique magical realism of The Sims.

All that considered, though, when looking at some of the staple households which appear in multiple games, there actually isn’t any aging conflict. That is, in the chronological order of games that I propose, the age of said sims progresses linearly. The issue might arise when trying to define the exact number of years passing between The Sims games, however considering that there could be different lengths of time between different entries in the franchise, it should be relatively straightforward to figure out when comparing sims’ ages against each other.

To convince you that the multiverse explanation of The Sims canon is unnecessary, I’m going to address the main reasons given in the ‘Alternate universe’ article on The Sims Wiki. Thank you to the person or people who wrote it by the way! Insofar as explaining the alternate universe it makes sense but I’m just using it as a jumping off point to explain my perspective. In the below table, the first two columns contain the conflicts in quotation marks as they appear on The Sims Wiki, while the third leftmost column is the reasons I have for the differences in the lore:

My main wish for the lore of Project Rene, or the current development of The Sims 5, is for it to be set after The Sims 2. This way, we start a new entry in the franchise with a clean slate and no confusion about the timeline. A big mistake The Sims 4 made is being afraid to show how life has gone by for our favorite sims, which just made confusion in the storyline. In fact, SimGuru Sarah said herself that it was the most flexible way to keep the most recognizable sims in the newest game. However, this made the story of The Sims 4, at least in the base game, seem stagnant. Let some of our favorite senior sims die from old age! Let our younger sims grow up and start families! Let Bella Goth grow old!

At the end of the day, we don’t need to rehash Bella’s, or anyone else’s, young adult life with new places and people, and it would be much more interesting to see how she is as an older woman, while her family matures and grows. That is, if Bella is in The Sims 5 at all! Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts! This is Italian painter Sofonisba Anguissola (1535-1626), probably one of the earliest examples we have of women who were able to contribute to the European art field. Though she was never able to become a professional artist, she did receive commissions, and was compensated through gifts rather than money. She was able to do so thanks to her father, who encouraged her and her sisters to study music, literature and art. His father was a great supporter of Sofonisba's work, introducing her to courts and sending her works to important figures of the period, like Michelangelo Buonarroti. Sofonisba is usually compared to the more well-known (but still not talked about enough) Artemisia Gentileschi  (1593-1653)💛.

Shout out to the Barbie Rapunzel DVD extra documentary for being the sole instance in my life I witnessed someone talk about Sofonisba Anguissola (despite my 11 years of studying history of art in school).

In the video, they also talk about American artist Alma Thomas (1891–1978), who worked in the abstract movement. Her works revolve around natural phenomena, painting flowers, rendering light and radiation through the pointillism technique, similarly to post-impressionism artists (see Georges Seurat, for example). Though she started painting during the mid-50s, she developed her signature style in the mid-60s, so technically out of the period set in the community line guides of this group, but I thought it was important to mention her. I think it's a very interesting choice to feature these two artists specifically in a documentary that talks about passion, and imagination, and wants to encourage children, especially young girls, to be creative and follow their dreams. Thank you Barbie.

I know everybody is celebrating Baldur's Gate 3 and combat wise it is a very good game, but as someone who's played a lot of video games during the past 34 years I gotta say the game was a bit of a disaster.

1) everything you love about the game and the characters would never have existed if it hadn't been for Bioware

2) if there had been any competition on the market it wouldn't have been such a huge success

- they were using early access players as beta testers which went on for years

- and then didn't manage to release a finished product

- they cut vital content and changed characters post release

- only after fans voiced their disappointment did the game get an actual ending

- which was still lackluster and had to receive yet another addition to make the game feel remotely complete

- they don't really care about their characters and advertised and used them as barby dolls you can smash together

- the character creator is a farce, and Tav/Durge will always look like an npc bc they couldn't be bothered to add some original faces, but hey at least we have penis sizes or something

- there were so many patches that continued to break things, that I still have something I can only call patch day ptsd

- the story pacing is... bad. Characters will throw themselves at you in act 1, then all banter stops in act 2 and some characters have no development at all, and then in act 3 they do a very sudden 180. Karlach's conclusion was patched in months later.

There's more, but in conclusion: the game is a mess, and most story happens in fanfiction and daydreams (which is because of huge potential.....that was never used), and I really don't think it's wise to compare other upcoming games to it.

My Thoughts On These Updates:

1. It’s nice to see the 2 Devil May Cry directors coming together to talk about their roles and goals. Would be awesome if they can collab but knowing them both and from what they’ve stated there, it’s best if they direct separately.

2. Nice that Capcom’s still coming out with Devil May Cry merch.

3. It’s too bad what the gaming industry’s become nowadays...There are still great games being made out there, but the marketing and developing aspect of it’s really gone downhill. At the same time, that title for that article there was kinda click-baity ‘cause it talked more about Japan’s stance on localization changes more than what the title and what I stated earlier.

4. That was a very nice interview, and is awesome that Reuben finally got a Dante role again, along with Dan Southworth as Vergil. So that thing Dan was talking about last year at that Power Rangers panel was either about the PGR game, or his role in Ninja Gaiden 4. Kinda funny how Reuben mixed up DMCV for DMC6 there in the interview as well, heheh.

Aside from that, though...I apologize that I’m bringing something bad up here, but I need to let this out...It’s regarding the questionable activities Reuben’s been displaying on social media as of late…I know the guy’s had controversies before, but I feel like most of these controversies have been misunderstandings due to the character limitations on Twitter/X that can make one explain things poorly, and how people’s mindsets and emotions get messed up when it comes to political stuff. Just what he’s been displaying lately has me concerned and taken aback, though...I would give my full opinion about the matter, but I don’t want to overstate things here. 7. Hoo-boy…Where to start when it comes to the Netflix stuff? Well, I’ve given my review already on here about my thoughts on it. Despite me liking it, it definitely had some rough edges that needs smoothing out.

- It was an honour being part of a couple parody vids. It’s not very often that I do voice stuff anymore due to lack of privacy and such. One of my dream jobs is to get into voice acting, but is tough when you lack privacy and live out in an area too far away from an actual recording studio.

- V-Tuber Dante’s a neat idea, but...IMO kinda weird and cringe too...Sorry…

- Some of the topics given about what’s stated here in these news updates I don’t really wanna give my feedback on ‘cause I can’t come up with things to say about them other then “funny”, or “nice”, or “cool”...I apologize...

- It’s interesting how we’re already getting Season 2 stuff announced and such. Seems like we’ll be getting it quicker than expected, and kinda explains why it took so long for them to release this series. Hoping for the best out of this next season.

YES PLEASE!! A Solar and Lunar takeover. It could happen in either Sams or Laes channel. It doesn't have to be a full-on takeover. They could switch to multiple pairs like Solar and Moon, Solar and Earth, Sun and Lunar, Sun and Earth. And playing games as 3 players.

Personally, I'm tired of the constant "Oh no, another villain. We really can't catch a break." I know it's for the lore but sometimes, I just want to see these characters have fun, you know? Lighthearted teasing, video game sessions, other bonding activities, and the likes.

There's this rumor on Twitter that's circling a small group of Sams fans that hates Earth/Kat from beginning up until now saying that they don't include Solar in gaming videos because Kat/Earth didn't like her spot with Lunar being taken away. When I tell you I almost bang my head on my phone. They really find anything to hate on Earth/Kat.

I HATE THAT.

And they found a way to incorporate Earth WAY more organically into the story then what they had before, and it sold me on her introduction. AND I REAAAAAAAAAAALY hate the people who say she's A Mary-Sue JUST because she has a high emotional intelligence and is Feminine.

I think in general I have very little preseason thoughts because teams are just finding their footing. The one that did concern me is Minnesota because that's a team filled with returners and they have the same issue of no PG, no true back to the basket C that they did last year and it worries me a little bit.

Yeah my initial Sellers reaction was pretty intense but I've since cooled down on it though I stand by it being a pretty bad PR move for a new franchise and just in general, all that talk about fit for a new franchise, still doesn't make sense to me. Though watching their preseason game, I do sort of see why she wasn't necessarily the best fit for what Nakase's trying to run based off of what Shy's game was in college.

iirc i never posted about this but. it's on my mind rn.

okay so. i'm FTM, yeah? and by some metrics i am a "late bloomer" in that i didn't begin my transition until i was an adult. and also, i am effeminate. i've never really been a Masculine person.

growing up, i had access to my older siblings video games. and then whatever my parents got me for birthdays and holidays. which tended to be games that were marketed towards girls. i'm talking your barbie games, your horse games, your nintendogs.

and when the internet began to develop central hubs for flashgames that weren't just insensitive jokes and pro iraq war propaganda, i always gravitated towards the "girly games." usually dress ups.

and as i kid i never wanted, say, nerf guns or toy soldiers. i think the most masc interest i had was rewatching the same power rangers episode on VHS over and over.

so i never got into War Games. i never got into Male Power Fantasy. i was playing harvest moon. i was playing pokemon for the cute critters. i played TF2 i guess? but that was about it.

and i feel like. my experiences as a Man Who Plays Video Games is very different from other Men Who Play Video Games. i will watch streamers on twitch and they'll gleefully reference something from their childhood that i have no frame of reference for.

there's a disconnect there. what feels like, to me, a Central Lore that i am missing. and it can be very alienating sometimes. like i'm not Allowed into the Boys Club because i was playing with virtual dolls instead of virtual guns

and that, as an adult, i still tend to skew in the direction of cute games/dress up games instead of like. fighting games and FPS and RTS

“Barbenheimer”—the collective celebration around the release of the Barbie and Oppenheimer movies—has collided with the wedding industrial complex. That’s not a joke. According to a Variety story this week, people are planning on taking their friends and family, prenuptials, to see the two films as a double feature. People who aren’t getting married are planning similar movie-watching marathons. It’s the kind of viral cultural moment marketing teams dream of. It also feels like a sign of the end times.

This sense of dread doesn’t stem from the public’s collective yearning to absorb stories about a Mattel doll and the development of atomic weapons at the same time. It’s because this weekend promises the kind of “let’s all go to the movies!” hype (and box office haul) that cinemas haven’t seen since before the Covid-19 pandemic shut theaters down—and it’s happening as Hollywood is going on strike.

This week, WIRED rolled out a series of stories detailing what we believe the future of entertainment might entail. The purpose was to look at how all aspects of culture, from books to video games to YouTube, could be impacted by advancements in technology. As we worked on it, though, something happened: Contract talks between Hollywood studios and the writers and actors unions began to break down. One of the major sticking points in those negotiations was the use of artificial intelligence in movie- and TV-making. Suddenly, as Madeline Ashby wrote in her essay this week, the world was in the midst of Hot Strike Summer.

Then, Hot Strike Summer slammed into the Barbenheimer moment. Once the Screen Actors Guild—American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, or SAG-AFTRA, called for a walkout, stars could no longer smile on red carpets without looking like scabs. The stars of Oppenheimer walked out of the film’s London premiere when the strike began. The cast and filmmakers behind Barbie, which premiered before SAG called for a strike, voiced their support. Soon, “This Barbie Is Now on Strike” became the headline, transforming one of the world’s most well-known figurines into Norma Rae. The marquee at my local theater in Brooklyn listed both movies alongside the phrase “Atomic Kenergy,” while The New York Times asked, “Can I Watch ‘Barbenheimer’ Despite the Hollywood Strikes?” (Short answer: Yes.)

To that end, the strikes will not affect Oppenheimer or Barbie’s opening weekend box office numbers. Earlier this week, AMC Entertainment reported that some 40,000 people had bought tickets for both films, and together they’re estimated to make around $150-200 million domestically, with Greta Gerwig’s send-up of the Mattel doll bringing in a bigger chunk than Christopher Nolan’s historical drama about the man behind the atomic bomb.  

But what matters is what happens after this weekend. By all accounts, Hot Strike Summer seems poised to last beyond one season. Even before SAG went on strike, studio sources were telling reporters that the plan was to let the strike “drag on until union members start losing their apartments and losing their houses.” In response to that, actor Ron Perlman took to social media to say “listen to me, motherfucker—there’s a lot of ways to lose your house.” He later walked that back, but when Hellboy enters the chat, you know it’s not going to end gently.

The longer writers and actors are on strike, the bigger the hole next summer or the summer after that, when the movies that would be filming right now aren’t ready. (Deadpool 3 and the sequel to Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning Part One, for example, are both currently on hold.) Cinemas have been bouncing back in the years since Covid restrictions were lifted and people began feeling comfortable in movie houses again. A lackluster year brought on by a dearth of films could prove detrimental.

Yesterday, Comic-Con International began in San Diego. Typically, or at least before the pandemic, the event has been full of panels with flashy stars promoting their next big movie or TV series. As long as SAG is on strike, those celebs won’t show. Some attendees will likely welcome the event’s return to its comics roots, rather than the Hollywood hype-fest it has become. But no matter what happens, it will be unlike any Comic-Con in recent memory. Maybe a little less plastic, but not fantastic.

Hey, so, SiIva Team - what the fuck is the deal with the goat?

Like, SiIvaGunner hasn't exactly been a stranger to creepy rips, particularly during its early years. On *** EVERYTHING IS FINE ***, for instance, I talked about the legendary horror that rips of the game "Barbie Horse Adventures: Blue Ribbon Race" have instilled into the audience thanks to just one rip back in Season 1, and we of course have Netyasha Roozi's excellent annual PlayStation Console BIOS rips of every Halloween, such as Play In MissingNo's Station. Yet, for as ominous and spooky as these rips are, I at least feel like I sort of GET them. Even four years on from its debut on the channel, I still don't know what the hell to make of "the standing goat".

Beginning with a rip of Cave Story's Mimiga Town theme back in Season 4 Episode 2, the confusion was immediately apparent - the 10 second video featured in the rip is from a moderately-popular Instagram post describing the goat statue's creepiness factor, and the song used is an arrangement of Pissy Pamper by Young Nudy and Playboi Carti - to my knowledge, with zero actual relation to one another. And sure, Mimigas in Cave Story are fuzzy little guys in an ominous world, that kind of befits the standing goat video - but the thing was, after this video's explosion in confusing reception, the goat just KEPT showing up. He would be recreated in different per-game artstyles like Deltarune and Ace Attorney, yet never properly...explained?

Yet, most bizarre of all, it seems as if for a small while the channel was playing at some sort of culmination to all of its buildup. During DJ Professor K's one-day takeover, an otherwise inconspicuous rip had the message "He is coming." hidden in its description - only for said rip to be followed up by Game Over/Password - Altered Beast, an arrangement of Pissy Pamper that effectively jumpscares you with the goat's presence by the end of it. The message hidden in its description? "He is here. Run.". And this Altered Beast rip was also part of an already-existing pattern with rips featuring the goat: "Memory", "Mysterious Crash", "Good Night", "Game Over" - several rips utilizing the creature seemed to explicitly be hinting at something far more ominous than what the video alone lets on.

Which brings us to the first true descent into this madness, one that stood out like nothing else quite did during Season 6's Halloween event: He is Back. In an event otherwise characterized by its lighthearted use of David S. Pumpkins, in-universe contextualized as little more than a fun halloween party, there's something yet more unsettling about the goat we've all been wondering about, reappearing in a rip that feels flat-out dangerous in atmosphere. The messages from the video description continue, this time saying - "Look behind you. I said, look behind you." - as if there's someone we aren't aware of attempting to save us from whatever this...creature is trying to achieve on the channel. Althewhile, the Pissy Pamper audio instrumental added on top makes what's otherwise primarily garbled noise from P.T.'s radio stations turn into a...surprisingly listenable, sort of glitch-hop-like banger?

The video end by leaving us with more questions than answers, as the video abruptly cuts to an error screen with the words "HE IS HERE" repeating over and over in many languages. And since He is Back's upload, we've...barely seen the goat anywhere. There's been yet one more possible development to his story, during Season 7's "The Cult of Proto" event, yet his fate and relevance to the channel remains as mysterious as it did many years ago.

For all that has and hasn't happened in the later Seasons of SiIvaGunner, I truly do love that mysteries like this still linger within the channel's mythos. And yeah, deep down I do know that these goat videos aren't meant to be amounting to anything bigger - they're just a silly, bizarre in-joke that's gradually taken on more and more creepy undertones. But there is something genuinely fun about that progression even having happened in the first place, isn't there? The goat could've easily just been left as one of many wacky out-of-nowhere jokes that Season 4s episodes debuted, yet he's been quietly sticking around, used by a small handful of rippers who seemingly have more in stock for the little guy than one would first think.

I, for one, welcome our good friend Billy with open arms.

Having to met Oomimi during a cosplay convention during her first overseas trip, she developed a crush on him and kept in touch ever since. Her feelings deepen during her first year in Inarizaki and spending time with him again. Though she always flirts with him, she gets shy when he flirts back, covering her face with her hands or burying her face on his chest.
