☄ Number 1: Wolf is anti-monarchy. Its a cliche to think that just because Wolf is of medieval age that she is loyal to a monarchy. For One ,Wolf specifically grew up around Cologne as a massive tradingcenter of europe that had already been a masive tradingcenter in the bronzeage when the romans set it up as Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium, so she grew up specifically in the neighbourhood of communitys that were not lead to richness through a monarch but lead to richness through not only multiculturel exchange but through the tradings of merchants who were difinitive not kings nor noblemen. It also might be noted that she is not that far away from the Northsea to not know about the Firisan Freedom= Fryske frijheid and therefor had taken on that thinking of great farmers-freedom. On the other hand- monarchy is a social contract that says that people will give a certaine other person that had been chosen by a higher beeing the recources they need to keep the group save. If that second person is not keeping the people save than they are failing their duty and should not be a monarch. A few hundred years ago those people were sacreficed when they could not do their duty and Wolf might think that this would be even a proper solution for monarchs now. Wolf is literally Spiderman who is keeping people save because other people have not this power or the interest in that,so she thinks that whoever monarch wants her loyality had already failed their duty and has no rights over her. If she would be given a political alignment, than Wolf would be a socialist by thinking that the community should always survive and that everyone should be doing their duty to serve this community and keep it alive through their work, which she is doing as a laysister (healing travlers seeking shelter ,and cooking, cleaning etc for the nuns) and as spiderman (protecting civilians from whatever Leo and the Alchemists are up to). Which also explains why Wolf would never stop beeing spiderman even if she wishs personally for a peaceful life or for rest- she has the recources to help people as spiderman so she is bound by duty to do so as its her role to fullfill to make the community survive. She also lives in Pisa, that is a republic until 200 years into her future, so by all means, Wolf is very much anti-monarchy . This however does not mean that Wolf would ever sacrefice one person to make the community survives. One person can do a lot,one person could bring a villagecommunity through the winter. She is also only one person and can already do so much and there are other people who have other skills who can do so much more or other things than her to serve the community. That is also why she would never kill her villians, because she could redeem them so they could like her serve the community. For her it is "Unum tueri omnes tuendo"- Protect one, protect all. OR: Protect one in order to protect everyone. A community needs everyone,every single person, to survive.Which is also the reason why she promptly drops a little courtsy and walks away when she figures out what is up with Miles Morales and the Spider Society. If she would have the means, she would help the boy without a second thought. She is a medieval person, her views are medieval and her views say that the community needs everyone to work together so they can all survive through the seasons and iolating one person will risk the survival of everyone. Always remember- the medieval european society is not a pyramide with the king on the top but a circle with the king in the middle. If the middle is not fullfilling its duty, it should be replaced.

☄ Number 2: Wolfs favorite hobby is weaving. She is already always using a handspindle for making theard when she is bored or is not in active battle, but she loves those quiet moments when she is infront of her weighted loom in a small little chamber in the convent and weaves a new blanket or a cloak. In summer the room is cool enough that she will not sweat and in Winter its so cold that she needs to throw over her woolen Paludamentum and puts on gloves while everyone else is in the kitchen for warmth. Wolf is permanently putting up the loud, happy, smarmy front her mother teached her that should be used to flatter and distract people so she as the thief could empty their pockets but when she is standing by the loom she can be her introverted self and just focus on the mechanical steps one by one. After all, WOlf has also very keen senses,so she is easily overstimulated and weaving is helping her to calm down. If you give her a pretty gem to weighten her handspindle or in a pretty colour dyed wool, she will kiss you on the cheek. Its the best present one could give her, beside tomatosoup because as mentioned, she loves tomaos and is eterntally devasted that she will never eat them in her time and dimension.

Happy Wednesday Another lovely day here in The Gloucestershire Countryside. I feel very blessed to live in such a beautiful part of the world. It is very easy to forge a relationship with nature and to see why we must protect our environment when you have such beauty on your doorstep. I thought today I'd share with you some snippets about our location. We are in a little village but are lucky to be located within very easy reach of Gloucester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Ledbury, the Forest of Dean, the Cotswolds and the M5 motorway. We are located in Gloucestershire, yet only 6 miles from the borders of both Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Within the actual Village of Hartpury we have a primary school, wonderful old buildings, such as a Norman Church and Tythe barn, a Victorian Bee Shelter, a Mill, sadly no longer working, which was used as the location for the BBC drama The Living and the Dead, a land and sports based college, Championship Rugby Side Hartpury RFC, an excellent country pub and restaurant @the_royal_exchange , who are gradually extended their vegan menu, I can highly recommend the roasted aubergine from their new summer menu😍 , a vets surgery, a monthly craft and produce market, which I initially set up several years ago and is now run by Anthea and Helen, brilliant upholster and at the heart of the village the Post Office and Village Store. Iolite: Are they financially responsible or do they tend to blow their money as soon as they have it?

Mar had been teached as a scribe and in bookkeeping, since her family thought that when she knows how tor ead and write and knows how to organise a household, she would always be needed in a villagecommunity and therefor woudl find a place to live her life. Accordingly the young woman always has a good view over he finances and how she needs to use it to keep her belongings like her tent, her armor, her foodsupplies and the health of her steeds in check. So it could be said, that she is responsible with her money. However, whiel Mar always makes a plan of her finances and carefully makes sure she has enough money to take care of her belongings, she also does not earn that mcuh money. So when she earned money, this money is already bown the moment it touches her hand for foodsupplies, food for her steeds, her travelutensils, to keep her gear in check and so on and so on and so on….Mar is strictly responsible with her money, but she is not earning enough money as a simple Sellsword to ever have enough money left beside her nesteggs that are her golden tippellei-earring she always wears and a dress she had been given by one of her clients to sell when she is in desperate need of money.

🌿 willow bough - are you a free dancer, skilled, or self-conscious?

“I am a excellent swordman.” , the Halforc harrumphed grimly, her stout arms crossed under her chest, her freckled ears pinned back like a annoyed dog. 

“And there is not much difference between someone dancing and someone wielding a sword in combat.”, she added with a quiet huff as if she was expecting her answer would be used against her.  Of course, Mar knew how to dance after all the old Soldiers in her Homevillage would start the training by letting the children dance a ringdance to enhance their nimbleness, reflexes and warm the muscles for the coming exercises. Of course Mar knew how to dance, after all she grew up in a villagecommunity wherein the togetehrnessand community was put above every single one of them, always and in any way, and how else was that expessed than in a ringreigen were everyone would be able to join anytime, there was no leader and everyone met on the same eyelevel. 

Of course mar knew how to dance, she was a swordfighter, as nimble on her feet as a cat and despite her build just as elegant if needed. As long as it was not a partnerdance wherein she would be forced to rely on one person and not beeing able to hide herself in the faceless mass of a group like she would be able to in a ringdance.

How misanthropic are they?

Suprisingly for the fact that Mar usually wears the permanent face of someone who would savagely bite out ones throat with her razorsharp tusks the second one dares to come in armlenght to her, the Halforc is not at all misanthrophic. 

She is leery, vigilant and observant as she knows what people who had served in war could do ot indulge in all too easy, but she does not think at first glance bad of a person before she had the chance to talk to them. On the other side, Mar had grown up in a society that is based on permanent exchange between the people as only if they would work together (be it in a household or in a villagecommunity) they would be able to survive in the Highlands and above anything else thrife. Mar knew that she could only survived, let alone live, if she learns from the people around her and above anything else works together with them. In the same manner she knows that it is also on her to teach what she knows to those willing to learn and serve them the same way they serve well. The Halforc grew up in a community to serve a community and is aware that isolation will only bring stegnation and death.  And if anything, Mar is pragmatic and wants to live, so she usually sees another person as a source of learning and a hand for helping- in one way or another. 

However that does not change that Mar is rather awkward in groups and would only feel comfortable when she is around a small number of people as she usually avoids crowds.

Random Headcanon

Mar has a very bad opinion of the houses of Nobles whos members she had occasionally served in Stormwind. She can not understand how this people with more wealth can let areas like duskwood and westfall fall into ruin, when it is in her opinion acually their duty to prevent it.  Mar is, for a lack of a fitting non -political medieval term, actually socialistic. The individum, as the single person is not as important for as the society  they serve to make the group- and eventually the person themself- survive throug working together. A person on their own can propertyless survive but as soon as they join a society they have a duty to fullfill to live in the protection of this group. Those to happen to have more wealth are therefor bound to spend this wealth for the society (as in a simple example: The Dynkemaster on the frisian isles was always the guy with the most money to build the dykes, because in an other way everyone would have drowned or the cattle drowned and everyone starved. Eventually they were regarded with praise and honour if they had the right ideas if not they either died or were stripped of their wealth in court.). For her eventually everyone eats from the same bowl (hence Grote Freiheit) and eventually everyone will share the same pocketless shroud as everyone will be on the same level before the Ting-court. Of course those duties will change with the growing and shrinking of wealth so just because one person is born propertyless does not mean they could not become wealthy through marriage, commerce, wandering, War... This is also the reason why Mar always is so stubborn when it comes to her clients writing her a writ of protection for her time of service, because she is a travler and therefor she is not bound to a society/group/Villagecommunity and with that she is unprotected and therefor outlawed for her time of wandering. A person can live and survive on their own but it is dangerous, especially in a wartorn world.

However, Mar does refer to people with titles, which is as mentioned before never meant to put another on a higher rank ( as long as this rank is not earned trough work) but simply to flatter the other for to have hopefully a advantage through fawing. On the other side she uses the Titles to put a wall between her and the other person, so she can keep her distance herself.

FFAF: Aha! Now i can send the aforementioned inquiry- If Mar could change anything about her heritage, would she? What changes would she make? If not, why?

If this question would have been asked Mar when she was a child, the little child who would wear layers of clothes every day to hide her green skin, the little child who would sacrefice her most prettiest woodenpearls to the pond behind her homevillage to get her wish fulfilled, than the answer would have been a clear yes. However, at this moment when the little Girl is no more and Mar had earned a bitter kind of realism she would consider that her current situation may have bee caused by her beeing a Halforc but the situation could not be sloved by her beeing no longer a Halfbreed She has no Property, a circumstance caused by her Mothers early death and lack of a official father from whichs support she can live and therefor using her mothers inheritance to pay her belongings until said inheritance is by now used up. Since she has no property, she is not able to marry well (or marry at all), since a marriage is simply a concept of melting two properties to give the hiers born in this marriage a proper property to live from (Which was not the case for Mar, as listed above). She has no good name due to her unrenownedness, as she as said before just a face in the crowd, so even a marriage simply for a name would not be possible. So Mars current Life may had been caused by her beeing born a Halforc, but her struggle is of a economic nature, which can not be sloved by her nolonger having green skin and tusks.

Of course, Mar is able to and does live on her own, since she had been  teached to do so but she is in constant struggle to not be under the protection of a society (a faktion, a villagecommunity, certaine people etc) and barely have any savings, that could help her in the case she is wounded. Which is, considering Mars kind of work very likely to happen and then she will be in danger because a Mercenay who can not fight will not earn money and will not be able to buy food and medicine. Mar had eventually started to accept her looks and her place in society which does not mean that she does not struggle with it due to her fear of the future.

All in all Mar is to realistic to accept such a offer, she tells herself she has accepted her place in society, she tells herself she is too stubborne to rely on something like this and eventually she tells herself  that she knows eventually it would not change the core of her situation.She does not tell herself that such a offer would haunt her, because deep inside she think she does not deserve it.

Journey to Fulfillment - What would your character do with their life if they could do anything they wanted without worrying about financial or social limits?

If Mar would be given enough financial wealth, she would promptly marry and build herself a house to live in or move into the house of a Husband or Wife if tehy would ahve already a place and a villagecommunity to live in. As it woudl be mar marrying she would not love her partner, but actually only marry them for partnership to maybe adopt a child or actually seek out a partner who has already children she could help raise as it ahd often been described that Mar has no concept of Lovemarriage and would only marry for social standart and wealth to support a potential child coming from that marriage.  If she would have a place to build her own home, not her dream house, but simply a home, it would be a grubenhouse  as she had often helped building those in the WIntertime when the number of people living in her village would grow until spring when the wanderers and pirates would be able to leave again. A smalll pithouse where she would cover the earthground with clay and build the walls from weaved branches covered with sheepwool and clay and top it with a roof of reet high enough that she could hung herbs from the roof to dry them. She would buy cattle, sheep and chicken, and build them a stable and then set up a field for crop to make sure she would always have food.

Bulletin Board: What are your plans for the future?

Mar pinned her freckled ears back like a leery dog as she huffed with one of her small hands resting on the hilt of her sword: “Obviously not dying in the next battle.”

There were other things, secret things well hidden in the farest corner of her mind, she liked to think of but did not dared to say out loud since it would be like saying out a quiet wish that woudl never be able to turn into true as soon as spoken out loud. She would like to ask one of her clients for money, becoming their Thrall indebt, so she could buy herself property somwhere and build a house there only for herself to return to if she would survive this war. She would like to find a villagecommunity where she could be welcomned to settle down as a scribe, even thought she knew that the rush of adrenaline of using shield and sword would never leave her alone like a heavy chaina round her limbs. She would like and this was well hidden, hidden, hidden like a dark secret, to have a family, children, to return to.

But then the Halforc would remember that it would be foolish for things that could never happen and that she was no fool, never had been, never was, never wished to be. And eventually, she was too proud to become a thrall in debt.
