A new character for a Waterdeep campaign I'm playing with friends, Shadar-kai Oath of Conquest Paladin Volya Rosznar, local spoiled noble dude that wants to write his name in history, fight people and conquer realms and bring his family's name back from the mud. While also sneering and talking in weird metaphors in a dark lit room to himself, and teleporting behind his enemies

Was hit with a sudden idea on how to tackle this old fakemon concept, and I'm quite happy with the results for now! Could probably use a little extra work to simplify some stuff, but the tea/samovar elephant has finally been completed!

Teafant sleep on the tops of Slonavar, the heat and steam from the boiling water stored inside their bodies helps to keep Teafant warm and aids in regulating the temperature of the water Teafant store in their own bodies.

Slonavar are extremely hot to the touch and exude an intense heat that has been used for warming up food by placing it nearby. Many people of Volya have a Slonavar in their homes, using it to warm up their water to make tea and baths. It is a very valuable Pokemon to Volyan society.

These Pokemon live peacefully alongside humans and have done so for centuries. Research suggests these Pokemon evolved over time, becoming domesticated by the people of Volya as they were seen as useful in their survival in the colder land.

    Volya had taken to the deck, laying down to watch the stars, waiting for Conor to join him. The demon had behaved as demons do, he assumed, having bewitched him. Stolen his waking thoughts for himself. This wasn’t love, he told himself. Love had burned him before. Love always began the same, with a glowing warmth in his core. 

    But Conor had been similarly wounded, and just as cautious. He seemed as unwilling to allow such harm. There was trust in their shared prudence. 

    Hearing Conor ascend from the depths of the yacht, Volya tilted his head back, smiled in greeting. 

    ‘What time is it?’

11. Which character has been through the most design changes?

JESSE! GOD! fuck! that bastard wouldnt appear in my head magically no matter how many times i tried. how’s a guy supposed to design a character known only by other people’s memories of them these days </3 i came up with the names for the story he’s in back around last winter before i knew i wanted to make a story with them. he’s the third or fourth name i came up with and i Gave His Name To The Story but what jesse spade himself looks like was a mystery to me until a few weeks ago i shit you not. he’s slippery and unknowable by nature or w.e so i guess it fits him

15. Which OC/s make you think of yourself the most?

i feel like most people in the sleepaway group would expect me to say plink. i did give him some of my traits but we are very much so noy the same. real answer is guy, he lives how i want to live (so much love zero fucks incredible gender & immune to fire)

25. Are there any two characters that are like a dynamic duo/group?

I THINK ABOUT THIS A LOT ACTUALLY there are two oc Pairs that, if fandomized, people would act like are incredibly similar. both volya and eli play the government-worker-turned-sidekick to adam and jesse’s… vigilante? but apart from that. eli idolizes jesse whereas volya’s relationship with adam was initially more uhhh fraught. adam acts out of a sense of justice and volya is constantly questioning his own morals because of it, jesse (seemingly) does things for the thrill which makes eli (insecure) want to Be Him and Be Loved By Him out of loyalty/for a sense of security. adam and jesse both apparently die to their partners but jesse actually haunts the narrative while adam gets test tube’d for god research purposes.

i could go on about this for hours. they’re both duos within their stories but they’re different ok trust me

26. What's your favorite relationship/dynamic between a set of OCs?

there’s a Lot that i like but i’m just gonna go with glimmer (bar owner, milf) and eli (little dog in her purse). they really do not like each other but their troubled histories with jesse bring them together - they make each other aware of their own faults a lot, they’re too stubborn to admit the other makes them a better person but there grows to be an unspoken respect between the two

The Porcelain Effigy Pokemon

It feeds on the life energy of those around it from birth, storing it inside its hollow fragile body. Upon evolution, however, it gains a more carnal desire to feed. The unassuming appearance it has draws in many before it opens its mouth to swallow the prey whole. It prefers meals smaller than itself, it stands at about 4 and a half feet tall, while the young stand at just 8 inches.

Despite this, however, they make for great Pokemon to keep around the house for protection in the Volya region. Using their psychic abilities to warp the perception of reality of intruders they lead them either to their demise if they are deemed a threat or are lead far away from the home if they pose no harm.

They are very protective over that which they consider family and will protect their homes and families with their lives. They’re also quite social among themselves, but can be a tad hostile to outsiders.

Conor's free hand rose to cup Volya's face, fingertips smoothing across his jaw around to the back of his neck. He wouldn't break the kiss. He couldn't. Mouth pressed to Volya's, sincerely and needily.

No attempt had ever been made to hide his gills in Conor's presence. Especially a night like this, having no idea of his return. Volya was shirtless. The hybrid's fingertips would just graze the rough sensation under his jaw as he roamed, sending a shiver throughout his lover's body. Breath stuttering between their kiss.
