001: VERONICA foi das primeiras pessoas com quem Zaden falou no acampamento, os dois rapidamente se deram bem e se tornaram inseparáveis. Nem mesmo a distância de quando Zaden saiu do acampamento os afastou. (1/1)

ex — we'd have to figure out the when and how, as it would not have been in palmview, but i would love someone who loved him even when he was going down a wrong path, and who he genuinely tried to be better for even though he wasn't capable of following through at the time.

undeniable tension — kai keeps running into them at almost every party he goes to, and while he typically hangs to the back, they seem to be front and centre, a bright presence. kai resented them at first, but as time went on they spoke more and more, with the other even jumping in to defend kai when his smart mouth has gotten him into a scuffle. despite the obvious tension brewing, kai seems to take off whenever a line seems like it might be crossed. male please.

rival, kind of — they've disliked one another for as long as they can remember, always bickering, making comments. but beneath the act they've managed to keep up, there's a level of respect on both ends. so much so they often back one another up when someone else is being the asshole.

the ex-friend — someone he was friends with in high school who turned their backs on him when the rumours began to swirl. kai still feels like this time in his life is an open wound, so there would for sure still be still resentment they could work through.

no friends, just benefits — with room to grow. they find comfort within one another without words, always a text away when the other has had a particularly bad day and needs an outlet.

his best friend — the person that's kept him grounded the longest. friends from the moment they met and despite how often he's gone, they always manage to maintain their dynamic.

anu's  the  eldest  of  the  rai  family  and  she  helped  raise  her  siblings  from  a  young  age  as  both  of  her  parents  worked  a  lot.  in  my  head,  anu  and  her  siblings  were  really  close,  even  when  she  moved  away  for  college  but  there  probably  was  some  resentment  and  maybe  her  sibling  ( possibly  the  youngest  one  depending  on  how  old  your  character  is )  didn't  quite  understand  why  she  moved  so  far  away  for  college  and  felt  rather  abandoned.  then  after  the  virus  outbreak,  anu  went  off  the  grid  and  though  utp,  i  imagined  that  her  sibling  had  to  deal  with  it  by  themselves,  possibly  having  to  watch  their  parents  succumb  to  the  virus  and  try  to  survive  even  though  they  were  basically  a  child  at  the  time.  so  when  they  finally  reconnect  with  anu,  there's  a  lot  of  complicated  feelings  because  they're  bitter  but  also  relieved  at  the  same  time.  they're  still  trying  to  mend  their  relationship  now  but  it'll  never  be  the  same  as  it  was  before  and  anu  feels  so  guilty  that  they  had  to  go  through  it  all  alone.

01 — the world goes quiet (m/f/nb). elijah e MUSE compartilham um entendimento mudo, e é difícil precisar quando ou como iniciou. MUSE não o julga, mas está sempre observando, quase como se estivesse esperando que ele se abrisse, gentilmente e em silêncio, e ele não sabe direito como agir ao ser enxergado daquela maneira. os dois carregam seus próprios fantasmas, e tem algo em não estar sozinho com isso que é, ao mesmo tempo, inquietante e reconfortante.

02 — house of mirrors (m/f/nb). a relação desses dois é estranha. MUSE é o tipo de pessoa que se aproxima como se já tivesse todas respostas, mas há uma estranheza na maneira como observa elijah, como se estivesse tentando juntar peças de um quebra-cabeça. tem uma atração inegável entre os dois, contida por uma resistência teimosa; ambos se desafiam a ver o outro como é, mas, ao mesmo tempo, não querem confrontar o que poderiam revelar de si mesmos. em algum lugar nesse jogo de espelhos, talvez haja mais verdade do que eles estão dispostos a suportar.

MUSE observa eli com uma calma desconcertante, como se estivesse esperando que ele se entregasse ou que desse algum indício do peso que carrega. não conseguir enxergar os motivos reais de MUSE enlouquece eli, e os mantém constantemente nesse círculo de tensão.

04 — bloodsport (m/f/nb). MUSE entende, talvez melhor do que qualquer outra pessoa, as contradições e turbulências da mesma fé em que elijah um dia tentou caber. sabe também que, por mais esforço que os dois façam, nunca vão arrancar todas as farpas das palavras que recitaram com os joelhos em um banco por tanto tempo. nenhum deles sabe como preencher o vazio, mas talvez possam ajudar um ao outro.

05 — summer sun (m/f/nb). MUSE se inseriu na rotina de elijah sem pedir permissão. mesmo sendo fora do seu caminho, insiste em ir até a fazenda ao invés de comprar os pêssegos do mercado ou na feira, como qualquer outra pessoa, e essas visitas, quase sempre, acabam se tornando tardes inteiras sob o sol ou com os pés na água. MUSE tem uma energia fresca, quase sempre tentando engatar alguma conversa idealista sobre o estado do mundo. ainda que essa amizade tenha entrado em sua vida sem bater na porta, algo na presença de MUSE ajuda a suavizar os dias de elijah.
