my take is it’s not just about the money, and them relinquishing the paywall doesn’t solve anything for me. i will never be able to look at them the same. they’ve shown that they ARE the rich people they always taught us to hate. they play fast and loose with their money and their fan base. they're disloyal. they’re out of touch. they’re not the people we thought they were and there’s no coming back from that.

Hey there! Not sure if this is "news," but I was just binging Netflix's Gold & Greed: The Hunt for Fenn's Treasure and had to pause it because I saw Ryan's name flash across the screen! Well, it's actually his old Twitter account (@ryansbergara) that appears in a tweet asking if he (or Shane, though his name is offscreen) had heard the news when the treasure was found back in 2020.

Anyway, I honestly don't know who would care other than maybe Ryan himself or a tumblr devoted to Watcher, but you can find the moment in Episode 3 from 1:21-1:23 for what it's worth.
