And summer turns to autumn and it’s after practise and when Keeley steps into the dressing room she doesn’t bother with the conceit of averting her eyes. She did knock.

Jamie’s changed and talking to Bumbercatch; he perks up as Keeley enters and rises to greet her with a quick hug before calling vaguely in the direction of the coaches’ office, “Keeley’s here!”

Roy appears quickly enough, all in black (hell’s not frozen over yet) but looking as loose as he ever does for all of that; he too steps up to her for a hug.

“You look great,” he says, and she presses her thanks onto his cheek, a chaste kiss. She does look great, this dress is killer on her.

“Um, what about me?” Jamie demands, and at first she thinks he’s talking about the kiss, but no, he’s looking at Roy, eyebrows expectantly raised.

Roy gives him a slow, sceptical once-over, pointedly taking in the colours, the shorts, the everything. “You… look like you.” 

Jamie’s grin is equal parts smug and teasing. “So, amazing then. Thanks, Roy.” A wink in Keeley’s direction and she giggles at that, reaching out to grasp his hand. 

Roy rolls his eyes (again: hell not frozen over), but as Keeley takes his hand too, and as Jamie falls into step, he doesn’t particularly try to hide the small smile lurking in the corner of his lips.

Keeley loves them. “Come on, then,” she says, and she tugs them forward, and they go.

(Behind them, the lingering scent of Lynx and Keeley’s flowery perfume, and a hushed silence that stretches and stretches as player looks to player, until Dixon eventually asks, “So, are they… Do we know… ?”

Isaac shakes his head. “Better not to ask, bruv. It’s their thing and none of our business.”)

Assignments Update!

Hey Doodlers! Exciting news- we're nearly finished with assignments!

After a lot of hard work on our end and patience from you, we're finally nearing the end of assignments. Which is so exciting!! We'll 100% be finished by the end of the day today, and will be sending them out tomorrow, January 5th, since it's getting pretty late for us and we want to be alert to make sure sending goes smoothly.

Thank you all for your kindness in dealing with the delays, we deeply appreciate it. We'll post when assignments start sending, and then post again when they're all sent out. We hope you're all as stoked as we are- go Doodlers!

Sometimes I think of a scenario where suguru and yuta were interested in the same person, for me they're both very similar but at the same time how they express and deal with their emotions is very different.

suguru and yuuta? hmmmmm i think if that was the case, yuuta would have a puppy love crush on someone around suguru’s age bc suguru would NOT be w someone around yuuta’s age 😭 and if the person is around suguru’s age, they would NOT be interested in yuuta in a romantic sense at all, they’d probably think he’s adorable like a baby brother/dorky younger cousin!

and i’d love to hear what similarities you feel like suguru & yuuta have! :3 i can’t really think of many besides being devoted to a cause to the point of death, they love their family/friends, & they both went through depression/suicidal ideation… but also it’s late rn and my brain is mush so i can’t think of much anyways 😭

and i agree on them having more differences! i think they both dealt w grief and loss very differently (yuuta wanted to kill just himself vs suguru who wanted to kill non-sorcerers) and also i think that at the end of the day, yuuta’s strength was born out of love & loss vs suguru’s who’s strength was born out of a twisted sense of justice/anger & loss! but idk that’s what i personally think! i’d love to hear more about your thoughts though — it can help me see another side to it! :’)
