I searched the name “Weatherby” and had some fun.

It's a 🔫 company's name =))) Hope to see Percy shoot people (e.g: Rookwood) someday =)))

And also knew about its meaning!

Is this some kind of foreshadowing 🤔? Because sheep, beside being a cattle, represents for good man AND innocence.

Percy is generally a good person, but also naive enough to not doubt about Crouch Sr. actions (understandable, though), or let people leading him by his nose for whole year.

Btw, sheep provides hair for making wool. Percy also sent back the jumper, which definitely made by wool, in angry. It look like he refuse the protect from his family, and even his root. He doesn't want to wear sheepskin anymore, he wants to be stronger, more important and respectful, like a carnivore.

But then, I headcanon Crouch Sr. thought Weatherby would be an interesting wordplay too. That name sounds like Weasley, and Percy is young and silly like a sheep =))))) Maybe with Crouch Sr., Percy somehow is the adorable son he never had =)))))
