Projects & Crushes (William Clayton & *Young!Reader*)

Summary: After spending so much time with your friend William on a science project, Felicity gives you a heads up about how he might feel about you.

A/N: Please note this requested story is intended for a ~ younger Reader audience ~ If you think it will make you uncomfortable to read it - feel free to scroll past :)

Oliver and Felicity stand off to the side of the living room trying hard not to stare at you and William, pretending to be talking to each other. But you’re on to them. They’ve been doing this a lot more lately - watching you both work on your science project together.

At one point, Oliver comes up to put his hand on William’s shoulder. “Hey, buddy, can I talk to you for a second?”

“Sure, Dad.” The two Queens move to another part of the apartment to conduct their mysterious father-son chat. Meanwhile, Felicity wanders over, approaching you at the dining table.

“Heeeey, (Y/N), how’s it going?” she says, and sits down next to you. It’s been three weeks of after-school get-togethers at each of your places to get ready for the Science Fair. Although you love every time you get to go to William’s place because Felicity helps out sometimes, and gives advice on how to make the project even better. Plus she’s just majorly awesome in general.

“Good!” you say, “How are you?”

“Oh, fabulous. A quiet day in Star City is a happy day for yours truly.” You aren’t sure what she meant by that, but you nod anyway. “So, how are you and William getting along?” Felicity asks, conspiratorially.

“What do you mean?”

“What do you mean what do I mean?”

“I’m confused,” you admit.

“Okay, just a little girl talk, one on one - here’s the sitch. Do kids these days say ‘sitch’? Everything is shortened now it seems-”

“Felicity?”

“Right, sorry,” she says. “Anyway, I just wanted to give you a heads up because girl, you’re a little oblivious.”

“About what?”

“Exactly my point,” William’s step-mom says, “(Y/N), William likes you. Like, like-likes you. Do kids still say that, too?”

“He does?” You feel your face get warm. He likes me?

“Yes,” she insists, “now, do what you will with this information, but you didn’t hear it from me, okay?”

“Okay. Thanks, Felicity,” you say with a shy smile. Not a minute later, William comes back to the table looking unusually nervous.

“Hey, (Y/N)?” your friend slash crush asks you.

“Yeah, Will?”

“You want to come and see my new bow and arrows? I got them for my birthday.”

“Whoa, cool, yeah,” you agree, reduced to single word responses. Off in the distance, Oliver nods approvingly while Felicity chastizes him for whatever it was he said to his son.

They found out after the Reader visited the Queen's place to work on a project together with Felicity's help. I swear I'm not a pedo because William is the only character that I find acttractive and who is actually the same age as me.

New Team Member

I'm Y/N. A new member of Team Arrow. I live with Oliver, Felicity and William as I have nowhere else to stay. I open the door to the apartment and see Felicity and William playing video games. "Dammit." I here William say knowing that Felicity must have beat him. "Where were you?" she asks me. "I was at the bunker with Oliver." I reply. "Where is he by the way?" she asks. "He said he was just going to stay a little longer and then come home." I reply. I go to William and my room and sit down the edge of my bed. I hear the door open and see William standing there. "Felicity is making dinner." he says. "I better go help her then." I say. "You're not any better." he replies. "I'm not." I say sounding fake offended. "Well then maybe you should go help her if I'm no better at it than her." I say with a smile and he leaves the room. My phone rings and I see that it's Oliver. "What up?" I ask picking up the phone. "I need you here as fast as possible. They're at a building on 26th street." he says. "Okay I'm on my way." I reply before hanging up. I tell Felicity and William before heading out and to the bunker. We arrive at the building and can here gunshots being fired. My go inside and John and I take the left, Dinah and Rene take the right and Oliver takes the center. Felicity is on coms and tells John and I that we have 3 men coming towards us. We quickly take them down and continue moving. We all fight are way to the room where Diaz is but by the time we get there he is no longer in the room. We search the entire building but can't find him. He must of left when we first entered. Oliver and I return home eat dinner with Felicity and William. All I can think about that night is how lucky I am to have found these amazing people.

A/N: This is written in second person. Some of the fics will be in first, some will be in second. If you have a preference you can include it in your request. I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Summary: After being Oliver's "special friend" for a few months, you finally get to meet his son. Now you just need to form a relationship with him.

Warnings: Doesn't take place during a particular season of Arrow

Everyone knew that Oliver Queen had a child. However when you started dating him, it was at the back of your mind. And truthfully, your not even really dating, you've simply been on a few dates.

It's not like him having a son bothered you, you loved kids and truly didn't mind. But when he walked into your small library in Star City you weren't expecting him to become such a big part of his life.

You've been on a few dates before, though always set up by a friend since you weren't the most interesting person compared to others. You were perfectly normal. And for any other person with a nine to five job, you weren't special.

But to someone who lived in a world filled with manipulation and gore, like Oliver Queen, you were everything.

Which is why he wanted to introduce you to another huge part of his life. Not the Green Arrow, not yet. But his son.

When he confronted you about the idea you were taken aback. Not in a bad way, but instead because he announced the idea of introducing you to his son so abruptly and out of nowhere. You didn't even get the chance to say hello to him before he declared his thoughts.

Which is how you got here, mindlessly sputtering nothing trying to process this new information. He wanted you to meet his son. His child who he talks fondly about anytime he sees you. Droning on and on about how proud he is of William.

"Not right now, but... eventually," he quickly followed up seeing your wide eyes and dropped jaw, "I'll let you think about it."

You closed your mouth and soundlessly nodded, knowing that you would end up overthinking about it.

"So," you tried to recover, "How was your day?"

Oliver chuckled at your attempt to regain composure. And you were thankful that he didn't take your reaction the wrong way. You were just a bit shocked.

"Delightedly uneventful, how was yours?"

And therefore, the conversation changed. He didn't push, or force an answer out of you. Just like you did when he mentioned being busy in the evenings. Though you were curious.

"It was good, just restocking. But I did have some students from the University stop by," you answered him, picking up some books you pulled out to help the students.

You were happy that the topic stayed away from William, you were sure he was a great kid. You were just, overwhelmed.

When you got back to your apartment, you had plenty to think about. Not several different topics, just one. But it was very wide and you had an endless amount of questions. You put your things down and sat on your couch ready to consider the pros and cons.

The first question was, what did this mean? Oliver wanted you to meet someone that played an extraordinary role in his life. So he thought you both were getting serious.

But that couldn't be true since you only met a few months ago. You weren't even official, there were no labels. When anyone asked you what you were to each other he just said good friends.

Also then again, that could be because of reporters. You sighed running your hands over your face. Why was this so complicated, it was a simple statement.

He wanted you to meet William, nothing more, nothing less. So you decide to listen to your heart and not linger on an underlying meaning.

Before you could talk yourself out of it, you picked up your phone and tapped Oliver's phone number. He answered quicker than you expected, after the first ring.

"Hey."

You smiled at the sound of his voice forgetting any previous worries, "Hi. I uh, I thought about your question."

He skipped a beat before responding, "Which one was that?"

"The one about meeting William," you said in a small voice through the phone, almost scared that he'd take back the invitation.

"Oh, okay."

"Yeah, um, I'd like to. I mean only if you still want me to. If you don't, that's fine too."

You could practically hear his smile through the phone, "Of course I want you to meet him. He's actually been asking about who I've been going to see all this time and why I've started bringing him back books from the library. I don't think he's very happy about that part though."

Letting out a laugh at his statement, your nerves started to die down. No one has ever been about to relax you effortlessly, but you love that he can.

"So is tomorrow good? I could pick you up from the library."

You subconsciously nodded, "Yeah, that's great. I'm excited."

"I'm excited too."

You beamed at the phone, though he couldn't see you, "Well that's all. I'm looking forward to tomorrow, I'll see you then."

"See you then," he confirmed before ending the call.

Processing what just happened in your head, you got up from your criss-cross position on the couch and threw your hands into the air to celebrate. After your mini party, you ran to the closet to plan a nicer than usual outfit to wear to work tomorrow.

The next day when Oliver picked you up to go to his apartment, you weren't as joyful as you were previously. Your hands were fidgeting, causing you to play with the hem of the dress you were wearing.

He noticed this at first, but didn't say anything until your fingers started tapping aimlessly in the car.

"Hey," he started placing one hand over yours while his other was on the steering wheel, "What's wrong? You've been on edge since we got in."

You gave a small smile at him worrying about you, but even his caring nature wouldn't calm you down. William's reaction to you could make or break your relationship with him, which hasn't even been defined yet.

As if Oliver could read your mind he commented, "William's going to love you, don't worry."

His reassurance was just what you needed because you stopped toying with the things around you and slowly nodded, taking in his words. Before you knew it, his car was parked and he sent a comforting smile your way.

You took a deep breath before getting out of the car and walking into Oliver's loft by his side.

When you got in, it was cleaner than you imagined a home for two men would be. But Oliver was an organized person, which you appreciated.

This was the first time you've been in his home. He's had dinner with you at your apartment a few times. But you understood that he lived with his son, so he couldn't just bring over any woman he met. Though he's continuously pointed out that you're the only woman he's been meeting with.

"I'm going to get William, he's most likely in his room but make yourself at home. I made dinner before I picked you up, so it should be ready."

You raised your eyebrows at the made dinner part, which made him quietly chuckle. You knew he could cook, but it was surprising that he managed to put together an entire meal. Most times you struggled making more than one side with an entire.

He left you with your thoughts to go in the direction of what you assumed to be William's room. So you took the chance to admire your surroundings.

There wasn't an overflow of picture frames as there would be in a bigger family's house. But just the right amount for two people. One had William with a brunette who you assumed was his mother.

Some others had Oliver with some friends and his sister, you've met John Diggle and Thea a couple of times. And he's mentioned other people who were probably in the photo, but you wouldn't know their faces.

Your attention was pulled away from admiring the pictures when you heard four feet walking down the hall. You straightened yourself up running your hands down your dress ready to meet William. Your heart was beating a mile a minute and you hoped neither of them would notice.

Soon enough, you were faced with William Clayton. Well not faced, you were taller than him. You slowly started to realize that you were making William seem more intimidating than he actually was.

Saving you from the inevitable embarrassment of introducing yourself to your... guy friend's son, Oliver takes the job out of your hands.

"William, this is my-" he looked away from William and towards you as he considered what to say, "My friend."

You gave William a small wave not knowing what to say. A part of you knowing it's safer to say friend when introducing whatever you both are to his son. But the other part of you can't help but deflate at the casual term used when describing a relationship you value dearly.

William, however, looked unimpressed at his father's obvious lie. He raised an eyebrow when Oliver said "friend". So he called you both out on it by questioning, "Are you dating?"

Your eyes went wide at his straightforwardness and took into account the similarity between William and Oliver. They both spoke what's on their minds without hesitation.

Oliver once again recovered quicker than you to answer his son's question which you didn't expect, but Oliver apparently prepared an answer, "Yes, we are."

He glanced when he finished speaking, silently checking that his answer was alright. You only responded with a smile.

William turned back to his father, not appearing phased by the revelation, "When's dinner?"

Oliver was taken aback by his son's stoic behavior, expecting at least a small reaction. Not lingering on his son's attitude or lack thereof, he answered, "Right now actually."

You simply watched their exchange not knowing what to say but you did move out the way to let William pass and get to the dinner table.

Oliver looked after his son before turning to you and speaking quietly, "I think he likes you."

You pursed your lips doubting Oliver's guess, but taking his word for it since William is his son. Oliver could sense your apprehension and took your hand in his giving you a kiss on the forehead which you melted into.

Still holding your hand he led you to the already set dining table. William was already sitting patiently, saving you and Oliver the seats across from him.

Oliver pulled your chair out for you, which you gave a nonverbal thanks to by smiling. Not that he'd admit it to anyone except you but that's all the thanks he'd ever need.

When you sat down, Oliver left back into the kitchen to bring out the food. Meanwhile, you racked your brain for conversation topics that wouldn't sound too awkward or forced.

You wanted William to like you. But you didn't want to make him like you, you wanted it to come naturally. And you knew it would take some time but you were willing to wait.

You remembered a photo in the hallway that had William wearing a Starling City Rockets jersey so you started, "So, William, do you like any sports?"

And although you already knew the answer to your question, assuming from the photo, you didn't want to sound too creepy.

Though there was a guaranteed level of awkwardness that came with starting a conversation with your boyfriend's kid. You would need to get used to saying boyfriend.

William was obviously hesitant to converse with you, him giving a small nod and saying, "Yeah, uh, my favorite's baseball."

You smiled at the information, being glad you at least got some words directed towards you. Baby steps after all, "Me too, my favorite team is probably the Central City Diamonds."

His eyes lit up and shoulders softened at your statement. Not that you knew why, and you subconsciously tilted your head.

"My mom used to take me to their games," he explained solemnly while looking down at the table avoiding your eyes.

You nodded understanding, Oliver had told you that his mother died. It seemed like a sore subject so you didn't ask for details.

"My dad used to take me to their games a lot. Every time we went we got hot dogs, soda and so much candy that I always went home with a stomach ache," you fondly reminisced.

William looked at you curiously, "Do you still go with him?"

You shook your head, "No, he passed a few years ago. But I like thinking about the fun things we did together. I eventually started focusing on the time I had and not the time I lost."

He slowly nodded, taking in your words. Soon after, Oliver walked back into the dining room placing the food down on the table.

You spotted your favorite side dish among the sides on the table and smiled at him, "How did you know I loved that? I thought I kept my obsession under wraps."

Oliver chuckled at your enthusiasm, and William's face broke out into a huge grin, "I love it too! It's my favorite food!"

You beamed at William happy that you found some things in common with him. Turning your attention to Oliver who was now softly smiling at you both. You placed your hand in his and gave it a gentle squeeze which he returned.

"Well next time I'll be sure to make more of it," Oliver assured you both, William already putting a large portion onto his plate.

You grinned when he said next time. Dinner was turning out to be better than expected. William didn't completely hate you, so that was a win in your book.

Briefly glancing at you before looking back down at his plate, William questioned, "Next time can you sit by me, I wanna show you my baseball cards?"

"I don't know Will, I like her over here," Oliver joked.

You smiled at both of them, admiring their dynamic, "Sorry Oliver, I really wanna see those baseball cards."

His mouth went agape in mock offense, "I see how it is, now you two are going to gang up on me."

William smirked mischievously and you leaned forwards to whisper to him, "I think we could take him."

William eagerly nodded, "Definitely."

You smiled at William happy that he seemed to be warming up to you. You were already looking forward to future dinner's with your favorite Queen boys.

Tears were shed, laughs were scattered, cheers were shouted. Sherlock had made good on his promise and married the lovely beautiful artist. He couldn’t stray his eyes from hers the entire wedding. It was difficult to even form words with how breathtaking the angel in front of him looked. Did they really expect him to say vows with this gift from the heavens standing right before him?!

Although Sherlock found it hard, he managed to spit out the words that caught in his throat. You’d hardly be able to tell he was a nervous wreck; the loving words that should bind them in mere moments came from his lips like poetry.

As soon as they were wed, Sherlock was eager to have his wife to himself. The entire after-party, he sat beside her with his leg bouncing impatiently, and that night he’d made love to her more times than they’d ever done in a week. A new record. He made it known that his promise was good.

What was to come after, though, was surely to be expected.

“Rin, stop moving sweetie.” She begged calmly for what felt like the thousandth time. Her youngest daughter fidgeted in the chair. She looked like a baby-doll propped up in an adults’ chair with how small she was. Painting her children was not uncommon for Y/n. They loved to model for their mother but most of the time her children could just barely stay still.

Their oldest, Eddie, a nickname for Edward, was goofy and had a heart like his aunt’s, both Enola and Eddie more child-like than times would prefer. Second oldest, Will Claud, short for William Claud, was determined, like his father, but had a habit of over doing it. He was the strict and ...well, the nerd brother. Will Claud just wanted to impress his father and mother, but he seemed to listen to his uncle Mycroft too much.

Next born was Alice. She had her mother’s skill in art as well as her father’s skill in mystery. She and Will Claud were born not too long from each other, so it was no surprise that they were constantly wrestling for the spotlight. Alice didn’t try to outwit her brother as much as he did her, but she wasn’t new to winning.

Finally, the twins; Clayton and Catherine. Clayton was mischievous and didn’t hesitate to make it known, but Catherine, sitting in that chair across her mother as her soft skin is replicated by paint onto a canvas of color, was practically an angel.

While the other children would hurdle over each other to get to their father every time he stepped through the front doors, Cathy would wait beside her mother politely before walking to her father slowly. Her siblings would part, forming a walkway in the middle as if she were royalty.

So then the joke was made and the chair painting was currently underway. They had to find the right chair, and they did. It looked so elegant, so royally distinguished. It looked perfect. Fit for a queen.

And that was what the joke was. That Catherine was the “queen”. Not a very funny one without context, Cathy’s siblings later found out, but a good one to tease her with. However, queen Cathy didn’t mind it. In fact, she was quick to drop into character, the smoothest transition known to man-kind.

While, yes, Catherine’s character was rather humorous, it still held some concerns. Would she become the lordly queen her siblings tried to paint her as? Would she ever realize it was all a joke her siblings made up? Growing up was never something she forced on her children, but she didn’t want to have them growing too used to a title like that. Y/n joked to her husband one night in bed as they held the sleeping majesty, whom had crawled into their bed without reason.

“I’m highly aware she’s ‘the queen’ and all, but I really hope she doesn’t decide she’d like to adopt the complete role. I wouldn’t be able to stand it if my baby became my nightmare. The other four are already so much work.” She chuckled as she brushed some of Catherine’s hair behind her ear.

Sherlock looked at his sleeping daughter. She looked so at peace, just as she always did, and he nodded yet noted his disagreement. “I doubt she’d ever become such a hassle. She’s been so patient and kind, I can’t see her actually devolving a bad side. Clayton, sure, but his sister?” Their eyes flicked up to meet each others. A beat later and they were in hushed snickers.

“Mummy?”

“Yes?”

“When will daddy be returning home?” She had relaxed her facial muscles, if only she’d done so with her limbs- make it easier for her mother, and held a casual tone of voice. Another thing with Catherine; she was harder to read than most.

“I’m not sure, my dear. He should be back before supper...” Y/n lifted her head to peak over the easel and watch her three older kids as they played with Clayton. He was a tough kid, but always overestimated how tough he really was. Y/n felt concern fill her gut when he first begged to play with his older siblings, but she let him anyways, Sherlock being the one to thank for that decision.

“Good. I want to sit next to him tonight. And you. I want to sit next to both of you, mummy.” She gave her mother a small smile, which she returned, before adjusting to her original pose.

Y/n paused after she finished the details involving the chair and Cathy. “Catherine, you do realize that I sit next to your father at dinner, right? And Eddie sits on his other side...that is, if Willy loses their fight tonight...I wonder why they don’t just take turns...” She muttered the last few sentences to herself in heavy contemplation.

“Mhm! You can sit next to him too!” The little girl watched her mother process her question with wide eyes of anticipation. She realized Y/n still didn’t quite understand and was quick to explain. “I can sit on your lap, mummy! Like when I was this big!” Catherine held up her hands to show an overexaggerated space between her small hands that supposedly represented her only one or two years ago.

“Well... Daddy and I can talk about it when he gets home. Is that alright with you?”

“Mhm! But I don’t want to crush the new me, so don’t be afraid to tell me no, mummy, okay?!” Her innocence was adorable, but not more than the grin that sat upon her lips.

Clayton rushed in, causing Y/n to instinctively reach for her easel protectively. He chortled to himself before announcing what was on his mind. “It’s not a new you, Cathy, it’s a new me! I’ll bet you on it, I’m shore I have the funs!”

“Clayton Luther Holmes!” Y/n’s eyes doubled in size. “Who taught you about betting?”

Her son ignored her question and continued, “Besides, what if I want to sit on mother’s lap?!”

“We can’t both sit on mummy- what about the baby?”

“Uhh, it can move, no doy?! It can move just like Will Claud tells me to. It doesn’t need to be shell-fish!” Clayton muttered bitterly. “If Will Claud really wants to call someone his funny names, he should call the baby them.” His time with the older kids was undoubtfully the reasoning behind the failed attempts of words he didn’t fully understand.

“Do you mean ‘selfish?’“

“Yeah, that’s what I said. Don’t you agree, mummy? See, she agrees!” Clayton tried to argue with his twin, but his words had no effect on her. Catherine stared at him blankly, confused like her mother.

“Mummy didn’t say anything, Clayton. She said we can talk about it when daddy gets home, so you can wait here with me.” She scooted over a bit in the chair and pat beside her. Clayton shot her a look of distaste and ran back out into the yard.

“That was...odd.” Y/n blinked.

“He did remind me though, mummy... The baby can’t move... maybe I could sit with daddy instead?” Catherine sounded reassuring, her feathery voice calming her mother.

Which she really needed. She could hardly focus on her painting now. Her heart was begging for Sherlock to walk through the front doors already, spare her from another interruption that would throw her off-course for the fifth time that evening.

Like magic, her wish was granted and a knock sounded on the study door. Both Catherine and Y/n’s heads snapped toward Sherlock entering the room. “How’s her-majesty doing?” He smirked at Cathy as he set down his case. “I heard from two little competitive detectives that mummy is creating a masterpiece of her masterpiece! Are the rumors true?”

“That they are, detective. Seems you’ve found out the surprise before it could surprise you.” Catherine giggled as her father lifted her from the soft red chair and spun her around before planting a kiss on her forehead.

“So, my little queen, how are you?”

“Good.” She smiled brightly. “How are you? Did mummy ask you yet?”

Sherlock turned to face Y/n, who looked away as fast as she could- wide eyes and all. “Did mummy ask me what, Rin?”

“If I could sit with you or her during supper? I would sit on mummy’s lap, but I don’t want to hurt the baby, and even if I could, Clay wants to sit on her too. I don’t want to make it unfair!” Catherine frowned. “I told him he could wait with me until you were here to talk about it but he didn’t want to.”

“I’ll tell you what. Since mummy has the baby, you can sit with her and I’ll have Clayton sit with me.”

“Yeah! He moves around a lot and we want to be extra careful with mummy and mini-baby, right?” Sherlock nodded, Y/n still trying to figure out what her daughter was saying, and sent Cathy off to play with her siblings until Alice finished supper. It wasn’t intended for Y/n’s pregnancy, but it certainly helped. A system in which the kids could claim nights to help out with meals. Alice loved to make dinners while Edward loved to bake. The smell of a delicious homecooked meal was never lacking in the Holmes house.

“Hear that? Mini-baby gets to sit next to the queen tonight.”

“I’m jealous, quite frankly.” Sherlock’s grin never ceased to bring Y/n’s to her face. Though she was exhausted, her husband made her feel calm and peaceful. “So, our five little reminders never cease to remind you, do they?”

“No...and don’t forget the sixth, Mr. Holmes.”

“Believe me, I haven’t, Mrs. Holmes. I’m simply awaiting their arrival. Perhaps a few more before I needn’t anymore reminders?”

“Mayhaps...however- Let’s talk about it when I’m no longer expecting, please. I’m already resisting the urge to collapse.” Sherlock chuckled to himself, shaking his head as he watched his wife struggle to the doors before helping her. His arms scoop her up and carry her to their room. They passed the paintings that hung upon the walls, portraits of Sherlock, portraits of their children, a portrait by her mother in law of their wedding day. The wall was home to their present and past, providing room for their future as well.

They were in their room for only a few minutes before a loud chatter followed them. Both adults closed their eyes and prepared themselves for their little ones who would burst through their doors at any moment. His promise was good, and they had five, almost six, reminders to show for proof.

“To me, my fillings!”

If you’ve been reading my little comic reviews here, or just glanced at my username for two seconds, you probably already know that I loooove the Magneto family. Polaris was my favorite member in X-Factor and she’s my favorite member of the X-Men. Whatever she shows up in, I’m here for it. After the X-Men election, I was very concerned that Lorna was just going to be in the background in this book, that her character development wouldn’t be continued, and she would just fade back into obscurity without Leah Williams’ pen. I am so happy to have been proven wrong.

This issue is really a showcase for Polaris, a structure that Duggan seems to be doing in most of these issues, highlighting one team member at a time and discussing why they wanted to join the X-Men. We learn here that Polaris didn’t want to join the X-Men - Jean telepathically altered what she said, changing Lorna’s “just not me” into “just pick me.” Honestly, it’s disgusting that Jean did that, even if Lorna’s initial thought was that she wanted to join the X-Men. But is that also not at the same time the most Jean Grey thing to do - to telepathically meddle because Jean thinks she knows best for everyone else? I hate Jean for what she did, but I also think it totally fits as Jean is a self righteous bully - so it makes sense! And I think dovetails nicely with Polaris shying away from responsibility in X-Factor, explaining her inclination was to do the same in the X-Men vote.

We also get to see other snapshots of Polaris’ week in this issue, something that I deeply adored as it felt like a day in the life sort of thing. The issue addresses Polaris being bipolar as well, with Rogue trying to offer support and comfort to her (Rogue is def the team mom in this era). Polaris’ mental state comes up again when, in the fight against the Reavers, she acts on impulse and puppeteers Laura’s body - which is clearly not okay. Laura is definitely uncomfortable with it, as not being in control of her body is one of her greatest triggers, fears, and traumas - and Polaris did it so casually, just acting on impulse and not considering all the other sources of metal around her. We do see Polaris apologize to Wolverine, but I also have the sense that the apology wasn’t enough - it was short and clipped. Maybe in a Wolverine focused issue we can see the characters have a deeper and more meaningful discussion about what happened.

Now, I don’t know why - but seeing the Krakoans do their Thanksgiving based outreach made me start to tear up a little bit. It was so pure and wholesome. We also got another hint of the Ben Urich plot line, and it does seem very reasonable - it isn’t just some superheroes coming back to life, it’s sooo many mutants that it has to be raising eyebrows. When I originally thought it was just him curious about Cyclops, I thought it was silly as everyone dies and comes back in Marvel, but he mentioned Jumbo and Cable and we the readers know of so many more previously dead mutants operating in the world again.

Also - the little letter from Polaris to Northstar? It makes me think of what might have been with Lorna and Pietro, but it still warmed my heart to see her having a sibling like relationship with Jean-Paul.

Request: I have a request for Harry Hook! The reader lives on the Isle and Harry is secretly crushing on her. He doesn’t know how to act on his feelings so he makes her believe that he hates her by picking on her every chance he got. That all changes one night when she randomly runs into him and Uma out of breath. She says, “Can I hide in your bathroom? Don’t tell him where I’m at.” After she disappears, her dad walks in, asking them if they’ve seen her. They both keep her cover because they didn’t like how mean and scary he looked. When he left, the reader tells them about her dad being abusive towards her and than Harry confesses. They begin dating and he’s ridiculously overprotective of her.

A/N: Hi! Thank you for requesting this! I love how you knew what you wanted and was very well put in stating it! I chose William Clayton, the dude from Tarzan as good ol' daddy, ykno, since nobody really stays dead with disney. And Willy boi is a piece of shit lmaooo. And our loving adoring mother is Madame Medusa! Hope you enjoy! I did change a few things. Like, i.e, when i tell people my ex used to manipulate, control and s-aed me, i wouldn't want the first thing out of their mouth being "i wouldn't do that to u, i love u." B/c it's inappropriate and not the time and or place for that. So, he waits a year or so to finally say smth, bc escaping abuse takes a long time to get over and it's a lot of healing and being in a relationship immediately afterwards isn't the best thing on what should happen.

(Y/n) sighed, her back pressed against the wall as she picked at the scabs on her knee. "Anyone ever tell you green on you looks atrocious?" Harry asked, an eyebrow raised.

"I've heard, thanks Hook." (Y/N) rolled your eyes.

"(Y/N)! Don't listen to Harry. Your make up looks just fine." Gil tried to make the girl feel better, to no avail.

Looking over at Gil, (Y/N) attempted at a fake smile. "Thanks Gil." She sighed, walking into Ursula's restaurant.

"You know she thinks you hate her?" Gil asked, eating a fry, that he doesn't even know where he got it from.

"That's the point. Keep love at a healthy distance Gilly. 70 feet away."

"That's not healthy."

"Let's not talk about what's healthy and what isn't." Harry quickly fired back, making eye contact with Gil.

Weeks passed and (Y/N) hadn't shown up at work, evidently getting fired, but no word even from that.

"Hey! Has anyone fuckin' seen that shit head who works here?" Harry asked, stabbing the hook into the table. "Business is slow and it's not makin' Harry happy."

"Talking in third person, this can't be good." Gil said, looking over at Uma. "He's just mad he has no one to pick fun at and make miserable." Uma said, taking the hook out of the table. "Get your feet off my table. Were you raised in a damn barn?" Uma chided the angry brunette.

"You know damn well I was."

The doors to the restaurant slammed open as a very disheveled and dirty (Y/N) ran into Uma, near about knocking her over.

"Oh, now you can show up to work?" Uma snapped, but stepped back when she noticed some bruises.

“Can I hide in your bathroom? Don’t tell him where I’m at.”

"Uh, yea sure." Uma pointed her thumb over her shoulder as (Y/N) jolted into the bathroom.

Harry rose an eyebrow as he watched the door slam open again. "Have you seen where she went?" His gruff voice boomed throughout the restaurant.

"Down the alleyway, think she's running the bridge to Auradon." Uma answered before anyone else could.

William Clayton's eyes darted around. "If you see her, tell her she needs to get home." He pushed the doors back open, running to where the bridge is.

"Do we check n-"

"Give it a fucking minute." She waited as the man stormed back in. "I know you're fucking with me, because I know damn well, (Y/N) can't run that far without me catching up."

"Well why ask me if you're so damn sure where she's at?" Uma shot back.

"Listen, Will, we haven't seen the peppy fuck." Harry barked. "Now get on with your night, will ya?"

The overgrown babboon stormed back out.

...

"You can come out now." Uma said outside the bathroom door.

Sighing, (Y/N) walked out. "What kinda shit are you wearing?"

"Fucking clothes Harry, listen I'm not in the mood for your shit tonight. So, if you could and just lighten up on me for 30 goddamn minutes, that would be perfect." (Y/N) huffed.

"Harry, back up." Uma put her arm up, stopping him from taking movements towards her.

"What's been going on?" Gil asked, walking over.

"Listen, shit's hard at home, okay?" (Y/N) spilled. "If William's drunk, it's not good. Alright? He gets violent and think's he's back with the fuckin' gorillas or some shit or calls me it and tries to act like I am. I'm skippin town and going to Auradon." You pointed your finger at the 3 in front of you. "And if any of you say jackshit about anything about it or tell fuck face what I choose to do, I'm coming back and fucking all three of you up." She seethed and ran out of the restaurant.

"Holy shit." Harry mumbled.

"Maybe you should learn to apologize for adding onto her shit." Uma rose an eyebrow towards him, walking off.

...

A year and some months passed after (Y/N) moved to Auradon.

Every child from the isle came over, and boy did she ever-so enjoy the company. Making matters, so much greater, she had Uma for a roomie.

"Do you think Harry's cute?" Uma asked, filing her nails.

"No."

"Seriously?" Uma rose an eyebrow. "He sure does."

"Ha. Sure."

"He does, dude."

"I'm goin' for a walk." (Y/N) put her hair in a ponytail.

...

(Y/N) smiled contently as she walked down the park's pathway, the birds were singing, the flowers were blooming and the grass sure was green.

"(Y/N)! Hi!" Harry ran up to the female as she slowed down, slightly annoyed at the pirate. "You look nice. Did you do something different with your hair?"

"I brushed it." You deadpanned, your pace picking up. "Wait, I… actually want to talk to you." He sighed. "Is it about how for the last six months you've threatened every boy in the vicinity to not date me because they dont 'deserve' me?" You turned around, your arms crossing over your chest.

"Yea.. about that, I.."

"You like me." You finished the sentence for him. "I'm flattered really, never expected you to like me." You chuckled a little, truth be told, you do like him, you're just a stubborn asshole who won't let your guard down.

"What gave it away?" He chuckled nervously. "Everything."

"Well… Do you like me back?" He asked, half expecting you to say no. How could you've liked him? Like you, he was a stubborn dick.

"I enjoy your presence." You winked at him, he returned you with a smile. "So how does being my boyfriend sound? Cute dates and all that cheesy shit?" You rose an eyebrow as you moved your hands to your hips.

"It- really? I mean, yea. That sounds great."

"So… it's official?" Gil asked, poking his head into the conversation.

"Yea," you nodded. "It is."

"And to think, the bathroom made a snowball effect." Gil joked.
