the cat in Flow made me emotional because it was so clearly an extremely adored animal that had been quite suddenly abandoned and instead of being silent it kept making the meowing sounds it was accustomed to make to communicate with whoever sculpted all those images of it. the person whose desk it was sleeping on next to an unfinished sculpture of itself. It's not a feral cat in a long-abandoned world because if it was it wouldn't make those sounds; feral cats don't do that. it keeps communicating distress and annoyance at no one in particular because it's used to there being someone around who cares about its comfort. hanging on the side of a boat meowing sadly because it's used to being picked up.

#whoa girl lack of sleep over a few days is going to make me cry over the animated cat #flow 2024 #ngl the reason why this made me emotional is not because i'm much of a cat person. i'm not. it made me imagine once again what would happen #to my bird if i died or was forced to abandon her. that animal has been loved and helped in every way every day of her life #i have literally never in her 3 years had her spend a full day alone. if i can't be there i find someone she trusts etc #sometimes when we're playing it suddenly hits me that she doesn't even flap her wings when i swing her up and down #because she knows i won't ever let her drop. bwaahhh.#the idea of that trust ever being betrayed by anyone or anything or her being abandoned and not loved is extremely upsetting to me #like. the worst thing she has ever experienced is her nails being clipped by an inexperienced vet #the longest she has ever been alone is maybe 8 hours (emergency so couldn't find anyone)

Sadly, I believe WOT being cancelled was done to make away, and money, for Amazon's adaptation of The Empyrean Series. It's a 5 book fantasy show that's already got a large and very active fan base - Talking early Harry Potter fandom days - when book 3 came out back in January this year, people were coming to midnight releases. Now they are waiting for books 3 and 4.

Amazon snatched up the rights very quickly, this is likely going to bomb ROP out of the water and be a giant hit for Amazon. WOT likely had to go, in Amazon's eyes it wasn't the giant hit they had hoped for. This was meant to be their answer to Harry Potter, but now they really do have that. Empyrean Series has a college, magic, dragons and a giant fanbase. You only have to see the casting wars going on to see how big this show will be. Theres two actors who are fanning the flames, gaining hype. The show is still ironing out the scripts for now, but both its writer and Amazon are very pleased.

This show will need a BIG budget. With ROP getting the lease sold to non streaming channels and WOT being cancelled, its going to open up the funds Empyrean Series will need.

When I saw the news that WOT has been cancelled and how we all agree the reason doesn't add up with the viewing figures at all, it sort of clicked in my head. The reason it doesn't make sense is because it doesn't, its an excuse. They are swealing Rand and the others away because once this was their big hope, now a guaranteed TV show hit is on their cards.

When WOT came out back in 2020/21 (?) The Empyrean Series wasn't even published.

Season 2 came out in 2023, it was this year the firdt Empyrean Series book came out, made a big impact in book world. It was followed by book 2. Amazon grabbed the TV Show rights before anybody else could.

2025, Wot returns and its going creat. It feels like WOT, sounds like WOT, fans are loving it, 97% approval and... cancelled.

Its believed the Empyrean Series is about to start casting soon, then shooting. We're maybe looking at a early 2027 release.

Coincidence or has WOT been earmarked for cancellation since season 2 as Amazon now own something that's technically able to head to head with Harry Potter's own TV show. Empyrean is just 3 out of 5 books in and the fandom is massive already.

You know what, I wanna talk about this. I didn't even know Fourth Wing (The Empyrean Series) got picked up by Prime Video.

If Amazon is still looking for their cultural phenomenon tv series, why not buy the rights to the already-a-cultural-phenomenon book series that is still fresh in everyone's minds? The Romantasy genre is sooooo hot right now. This totally makes sense to me.

Perhaps you're right, maybe Amazon did cancel WoT to conserve budget for the sheer amount of dragon CGI that's gonna be needed to adapt Fourth Wing. Though, I will personally be very sad if that's the case.

So I've been reading a lot of those clangen challenge comics (despite not having read much of Warriors) and was hit with a sudden wave of inspiration to make some silly ocs! Here's the first batch I got done!

These guys are not warriors ocs! But, I will say they are inspired

First is Angel's Wings, his brother River's Deep, their mom Wind's Song, and their dad Cave's Wanderer

Next is Ice and his father + leader of the colony, Winter's Frost

Next are Magma's Flow (Winter's second in command), Lion's Roar (Magmas mate), and Ocean's Blue (colonies medic)

Last and certainly not least is Sky's Fall, who I plan to be the big bad guy of this story!

Now I highly doubt I'll get a comic out anytime soon, but I am just excited to work with these guys and show them all off! I have so many ideas in mind for them!!!!

Any post I make about them will be tagged Angel of The Ice, which is the name I have in mind for this
