-The kraken mentioned in The Book of Clearsight

-history of animus SkyWings

-if the Night and LeafWing populations could genetically bottleneck in the future due to low numbers

-what BeetleWings looked like in detail, tbh I want to hear more about potential extinct tribes or what dragons looked like between the scorching and now

-Tui saying she avoids giving dragons spider based names becasue she had a potential tribe idea (i forgot where i heard this one so take it with salt)

-non royal Sea and IceWings

-who else might have used DarkStalker’s scroll over the 2000+ years it was lying around

-RainWing history, in general

-the runty SkyWing egg that was mentioned in the prologue of Escaping Peril on the brightest night that was never found

-the origin of NightWing powers (and animus powers, but that seems like too big a question to ask. The better question is about what will happen to it)

My Rework of Animus Magic

A few rules I made for an Animus Magic rework. Not perfect yet, but I like the progress I've made. Sorry, it might get kind of long I have a LOT of ideas lmao

ANIMUS MAGIC THINKIES

Animus power varies. Some Animi are more powerful than others. Genetics can be a factor, but 'spikes' in power have been recorded and have yet to be explained.

Animi can become more powerful with training and determination, but their power is usually capped at a certain point.

ALL Animi can be physically and mentally scarred through heavy use of their magic. Larger spells can also potentially cause fatigue, sickness, seizures, depression, mania, and other adverse effects without proper training.

ALL Animi can enchant inanimate objects.

ALL Animi can cast spells through spoken words.

WITH TRAINING, Animi can control aspects of the world around them, i.e the weather.

This is where the entire SeaWing and IceWing Animus line is capped.

VERY RARELY, Animi can enchant non-intelligent life, or create it, though ONLY through using other non-intelligent life as a base.

VERY RARELY, Animi can cast spells through writing.

Few animi reach this level of power. Jerboa I and Stonemover are two standout examples.

DARKSTALKER could directly enchant intelligent life, i.e dragons.

DARKSTALKER could cast spells simply by thinking about them.

He is the only Animus who possessed these two abilities. Throughout the ages, he was viewed as almost godlike by Animus scholars. The pinnacle of Animism.

And, like in canon, NO Animus can bring back the dead, though it is a common misconception that Darkstalker possessed this ability as well.

A regular Animus is still a force to be reckoned with, and still has the potential to wreak havoc, while also having reasonable limitations and filling a few plot holes.

I have yet to work out some of the finer details and 'what-if' scenarios, but I think this list is a very solid starting point at nerfing animism.

Other ideas

Maybe every individual object/being could have a limit as to how many times they could be enchanted? What if every object could only be enchanted once, and then never again? Hmm...

With nerfed animism, it could mean that there are more Animi around in general.

I think every Animus's magic scars would be unique to them. Maybe Stonemover's stone scales are his scar, and maybe Darkstalker slowly gains more patches of white on his body as he descends into madness.

I also like the idea of inherent Animus traits, like markings only Animi have. Star-shaped pupils maybe? Or would it depend on the power level?

Wings of Fire thingy

I loved doing this, it was really fun. I couldn’t fit everyone I wanted to, I may do this again with more dragons, I just thing the book series is pretty neat. Some notes about the designs and the characters in general:

DARKSTALKER: I hate him, but I think he is quite interesting, I want him to die in very horrible ways, and to study him under a microscope. Regarding his design, I tried to make him green because of Foeslayer, and also wanted to nod to Arctic with the diamond shaped scales, instead of the teardrop ones. Also i gave him huge pupils, to make him more creepy i guess.

GLORY: I just think she’s neat, I didn’t change much about her design, since its pretty recognizable and cool. Her book is my favorite one out of the first arc ones, I really like when she first entered the rainforest, she’s just badass overall. Glory honestly slayed the whole book and I kinda hate how Tui gave her a love interest, i just feel like it wasn’t necessary and it just annoyed me lol.

PERIL: I honestly kinda hated her at first, but she’s one of my favorites now. Her story is very interesting and I think that her whole character growth journey is very endearing. Her design was always pretty cool, But i added some more light blue accents because i think they just bring the design together better.

ANEMONE: She is just neat to me, and i really like her design, mostly because of her colors. I always imagined her with glasses for some reason, I didn’t add them because I don’t know how to draw them lol. Something I didn’t like about her character, was that the only reason she had animus powers was because of Turtle, i really hated that.

SNOWFLAKE: I just related to her, like quite a whole lot. I would like to see more of her, I feel like they could do more with her character. I gotta be honest, i hate drawing icewings, they all just look the same to me.

SNOWFALL: I really liked her book, probably my favorite out of arc 3, I really liked her story and personality, her interactions with Lynx were also very entertaining, her warm tones are based on the cover of her book, i know its just the lightning but i felt like it was something worth nodding to.

FREEDOM: She was a very entertaining antagonist and the only reason i like Luna’s book to be honest…. She’s pretty tragic and I find her interactions and whole dynamic with Cottonmouth really funny. I felt inclined to give her antennae like the silkwings but ultimately decided against it. Her personality reminds me of myself and we have same vibe.

PYRITE / HAILSTORM: They are just… tragic, And I crave for more of her story, its just left unfinished (at least that what it feels like to me) I just need to know what happened to her after the whole duel with Winter, I need to know what happened, Its just- DCBUDHCJSKSMLX.

I was gonna draw Tsunami at first, but I don't actually have access to the second book at the moment, and I'd want to get specific if I were to reference that scene. It never says they can't reanimate the dead...

Wings of fire AU.

Qibli, is not okay. His mother hand pissed off an Animus and his egg was cursed. As he grew ice that would never melt would freeze more and more of his body. When he's about halfway frozen with one side of his body frozen, two legs no working, and one of his wings and his tail out of action, he's been given aid by Thorn to live his life peacefully.

Then Winter comes out of nowhere with Animus power and there's intense negotiations between Glacier and Thorn (Still leader of the outclaws), and Winter just gets to know Qibli, and decides, screw it. And heals him.
