“There’s not even someone you like?” A lingering silence and downward stare told Sue all she needed to know.

Last:

Abbey was stood off to the side, staring slackly at her: his mouth was slightly agape. “Since when did you speak actual French?” he said in an awed whisper. “Eh, my mom taught it to me when I was nine and I just kept up with it out of habit. We went to Paris last year and I got to brush up on my conversation skills.”

Lean:

“Sorry…” she muttered, catching Amaya’s worried stare. “No, no, it’s okay. When you said you got emotional at movies, I didn’t think it was this bad,” Amaya joked. Sue shot back a watery smile and leaned her head on Amaya’s shoulder.

Love:

The pale whiteness of the recessed aisle lights came on, and Amaya, who had been in a happy daze for the last half an hour, suddenly realised Sue’s head was on her shoulder, their arms were pressed together and their hands were in the kind of hold usually reserved for loved-up couples. Sue stirred beside her, blinked, and mumbled something softly before collecting herself; in a flash, the European burmese extricated her hand from Amaya’s and jolted upright in her seat.

ok, this is maybe the world's most ridiculous organisational technique, but it does seem to be working, so thank you for this!

i have fewer lights than i would've expected:

The touch is light and uncertain, barely enough to tease, as if he expects to be handling something more fragile than flesh.

Weevil huffed something in the general vicinity of a laugh. “Just playing it safe.” When she frowned, he elaborated, “Better than making a mess. Don’t want to be late for class, right?”

There was truly never a situation in which he wouldn’t make a joke at her expense. “Watch it. Is this really a time you want to piss me off?”

“You need to learn when to quit,” he said, ripping the package open.

“Oh, well, in that case…” She made as if to slip off the table and he blocked her with his body. He didn’t usually give her such blatant openings, and Veronica wondered with a thrill if maybe his brain was at least a little bit as melted as hers had been earlier.

-reset - terse (cut short, yknow like all the monsters’ hopes and dreams🥲🥲🥲)

-riverperson - perversion (possibly related to chara’s “perverted sentimentality” quote? idk its a reach)

-gerson - goners 👀

-goner kid - eroding, ignored (wanna see how hard i can cry??)

-mysteryman - asymmetry (notable since there are themes of symmetry and reflection in the game, certified gaster moment)

-monster - mentors

-dont forget - forgotten (WELP)

-susie - issue (not to me they could never make me hate susie)

-noelle - alone (ENOUGH, where is her sister dude you cant do this to me)

-kris - risk (understatement)

-alphys - shy pal (me too alphy me too)

-cool dude - clouded (nah cuz this one?? the cloudy snow before his battle?? the implication he’s depressed?? his competely ambiguous past?? im in shambles)

its tricky because some of the known anagrams leave a letter out or the alternate word is misspelled. theyre mostly complete coincidences but i just think theyre neat. wordplays also a HUGE factor with these games which is good cuz i love puns.
