for this — i decided on Kennedy Farley because in this situation — between ya know BUCKY and the fact kennedy is a girlboss for me in general, i just had to haha!

1. Close to You by Gracie Abrams (this is just truly kennedy and bucky’s anthem atp so, no doubt there’d be edits of them to this hehe)

2. Dream Girl Evil by Florence + The Machine (genuinely such a girlboss song like … it screams kennedy farley to me, the entire vibe)

3. All Along the Watchtower by Jimi Hendrix (probably more of an entire Silver Bullets crew sorta vibe, but still…it would be PERFECT!!!!!)

4. The Kill by Maggie Rogers (i think this song wraps up Kennedy’s past in a way that further empowers her as a person but also allows her that reflection time of what she once was like but can still grow from…she really fits the vibes of maggie rogers songs too)

please i love you i'm begging you bring back suspension of disbelief bring back trusting the audience like. i cannot handle any more dialogue that sounds like a legal document. "hello, i am here to talk to you about the incident from a few minutes ago, because i feel you might be unwell, and i am invested in your personal wellbeing." "thank you, i am unwell because the incident was hurtful to me due to my childhood, which was bad." I CANT!!!!

do you know how many people are mad that authors use "growled" as a word for "said"? it's just poetics! they do not literally mean "growled," it's just a common replacement for "said with force but in a low tone." it's normal! do you hear me!! help me i love you please let me out of here!!!

I just think everyone should take a moment to consider the question "what is your visual shorthand for cruelty?" and then follow it up with a critical "and who taught you that?"

specific examples include but are not limited to

why is an evil timeline character design disabled? (why do the heroes go through equally punishing battles and never lose an arm, a leg, an eye?)

why are the futuristic scifi terrorists uniformly darker skinned? (why are the heroes so much lighter?)

why is the greedy boss fat? (why are the heroes skinny?)

why is the criminal mastermind heavily scarred? (why is the brooding, traumatized hero unscathed?)

why is the predatory creep a bearded person in a dress and makeup? (why are none of the heroes trans women?)

who taught you that this is how things are?

how long do you plan on repeating it?

advice i think we should tell children is that when adults say stuff like ‘now that i’m an adult i get really excited about stuff like coffee tables and bathrooms and rugs etc’ they don’t mean ‘and now i don’t care about blorbo and squimbus from my childhood tv shows anymore’ bc your average adult still loves all the same pop culture stuff they always did; they just have a greater appreciation for the mundane as well. growing up just means you can enjoy life twice as much now. you can get really excited about a new stuffed animal AND about a new kitchen sponge. peace and love
