A day late, but I promised @arisukingdom that I would do a Father's Day drabble. Some Your Lying Smile Universe Inuparents fluff.

He had forgotten how tiny they started out. Small, squishy, and smelling of their mother. He hadn't gotten the chance to hold Sesshoumaru when he was this small. His mother was sternly traditional about those sorts of things. Izayoi, on the other hand, demanded he be by her side through the entire labor and it allowed him the astounding experience of being the first person to hold his newborn son. The midwife instructed him on how to catch the babe and how to gently clean him up before surveying him for a long moment. Clean and dry, he was rosy from being wiped down and the persistent angry cries. It was clear he wanted the comfort, dark, and warmth he had left. Touga couldn’t begrudge him squalling and wanting his mother. Within moments of resting him on Izayoi's chest, he quieted and made squeaky sounds of relief. “Touga, he is… perfect,” Izayoi sobbed, tracing her fingers through the slightly sticky curls on his head and over the floppy puppy ears that adorned him. The Inu no Taisho could not agree more. Hours later, laying beside Izayoi as she nursed their son, Touga took more time to study him. His hair, cleaner and now dry, was definitely silver. His nose was slightly turned up, tiny rounded claws tipped his little fingers and toes, and he grunted and whimpered like any inuyoukai pup would. He was most definitely a son of the Inu no Taisho. But the babe was also very much Izayoi's son. The shape of his eyes, his chin, the shade of his skin, those were his wife. A hanyou. The melding of a human and an inuyoukai. His son. Touga smothered his concerned face when Izayoi finally took her eyes away from the pup to look at him. Too late. Her brows dropped in worry. "No, Little Rabbit. Everything is fine." He let out a softly shuddering breath. "Our Inuyasha will grow up strong and cared for," he whispered to her, sidling closer so he could press his forehead to hers while the baby fell asleep between them. "He will know he is loved." He gripped her shoulder to emphasize his words. It was Touga's pledge to his mate. What's more, it was his solemn pledge to his hanyou son. He knew that the outside world would not understand. He would be different. But within the walls of the keep they called home, he would always know peace and safety. Inuyasha would be loved.

to meee :3 akechi and sumire arent exactly friends throughout january, (they only get really close several years later) but as a side effect of neither having anything better to do and the two constantly haunting kichijoji i think they inevitably fall together more often than not. ren takes sumire out for darts and shes weirdly better than she was last time (sidebar but the fact that sumire and akechi both mimic your throws but sumire sucks shit at darts too much for it to do any good is so cute) and shes like oh yeah akechi-san has been teaching me. oh wow i got a forty! unaware of the way she just blew rens mind.
