Live Review: Hot Chip at The Warehouse Project in Manchester 03 February 2023

💖Hottest Tracks I found this week 💖

This first one struck my nerve from the get go. It's by a London based artist named K (real name Ekaterina Kishchuck). It's their first release under that alias and a perfect blend between melancholie and happiness. All in all a fucking mover!

Long awaited and she delivered with all the singles already released. Who could it be? Of course, it's no other than Kelela. This sensual track with lyrics that long for love and intimacy is one that has to be heard with really good headphones. You can really feel the textures in the production and the heavenly vocals accompany it in a typical Kelela manner.

Feeling lost and not content with yourself? How about practicing some gratitude? What could be more of a blessing than this Track by DJ Gigola? Not normally the type of music she releases but it's a really interesting journey. The drums, the telephone sounds and it being a lyrical journey through the whole track. All together simply soothing!

Screaming, crying, throwing up? Or just simply feeling like a runway model in your own bedroom? This is everything you can feel while listening to this song. yunè pinku has been on my radar since their collaboration with Logic1000 in 2021. They didn't miss once with their own releases since then. It's a 10/10!

Sitting on a Kepko can only be so interesting, right? Sega Bodega made this experience feel quite interesting indeed! What other can you expect from someone who is working with and producing for the hottest people in the game right now? Exactly! Nothing less than this release. Really sad they cancelled their shows, but I'll be going ferral to this at home then....

This track has been on my mind since I first heard it. It's just too catchy not listen to asap. This could be playing at a hookah bar with glamed up queens all dolled up in y2k chiqué. The lyrics are just too funny and a perfect reflection of the party scene in Berlin right now.

Last track almost made me bust one out 😭. Perfect for riding the subway home at night or something else 🤪 Just listen to it yourself and understand what I mean by that.

Idk what I'm strarting with this and if anyone will ever see it but idk it's fun playing underground pitchfork and those songs make me feel like this <3
