We talk a lot about dad!Satoru Gojo, but listen to me . . . Babysitter!Nanami Kento and Babysiter!Ieiri Shoko

babysiter!Nanami who is forced by Satoru to take care of his two children, who complains about having to stay late because Satoru was late, but how intimidating it is to stay with little Megumi and Tsumiki. Babysiter!Nanami who: _makes delicious homemade meals; _introduced Megumi to black coffee; _makes beautiful hairstyles in Tsumiki; _helps them both with their homework; _take them to the park until sunset; _consoled Tsumiki when she scraped her knee; _bought the first non-fiction books for Megumi. _he was the first to notice Itafushi (Because Megumi reminded him of himself when he was younger, but he only realized he was in love with Haibara when he died, and then when he meets Yuji and finds out about their friendship Nanami realizes that history always repeats itself …AHHH, I'm in tears!!!)

Babysiter!Shoko that: _Has the best taste in films; _Take the Fushiguros to the mall (she spends all of Satoru's money); _gifted Tsumiki a spyglass to see the stars _taught Megumi how to make bandages _is a confidant for both of them (More for Megumi, because Gojo is sometimes very difficult to talk to and Shoko is always willing to listen to the child and talk bad about Gojo) _who taught Tsumiki how to throw a good punch (I truly believe that that punching thing that Megumi does with Yuji, I totally came from Tsumiki, because she looked very natural throwing a carton of milk at him) _Reassured Megumi when he appeared with Yuji's dead body in his arms (She must have looked and remembered 12/24 when Satoru appeared in the same way after killing Geto and, God, Shoko hated that the two looked too similar) _had "the talk" with both of them (Satoru freaked out when Tsumiki asked the first time and then was a confused little shit when Megumi asked, so Shoko did the job)

Anyway, just a bunch of Babysitter headcanons that I got a little too excited about.

Our Finest Flowers

The Residents released this album for their 20th anniversary, originally planning on doing a greatest hits compilation...but that would be normal (re: boring) so they went in a different direction: they made an album of new songs using materials from their old songs to make new tracks. That's right: The Residents redefined a genre they probably started...the mash-up album. I ended up enjoying their "twenty long years of painful regurgitation" more than I anticipated and even found a few surprises within. Let's share them.

Gone Again

Very dirgey and dreary...perfect way to start off the album before it kicks into high gear.

2. The Sour Song

Anybody else hearing their Jambalaya cover in this? Is it just me? I don't think we're at that part yet but I still feel like I hear it.

3. Six Amber Things

Very creeping and descending...a good track for coming up on somebody.

This song freaked me out when I heard it for the first time...because I already heard a cover of it from somewhere. Have a listen:

Not to ruin a great post with real life facts, but the pregnant person and fetus ARE in an antagonistic relationship with each other, fighting over resources. Pardon the sudden transphobic naming, but Mom's side tends to pass down genes associated with improved health of the mother and Dad's side tends to pass down genes associated with improved health of the fetus. It's not too bad when calories and nutrients are abundant and mom isn't over burdened with other issues like illness...but when the situation is difficult, well, yea...

Which makes the pro birth propaganda frustrating. It's not always rainbows and roses. Under the hood, so to speak, it isn't that at all. Pregnancy can be incredibly dangerous. Even in the best of cases, it's difficult. Don't let anybody shame you for having a hard time with _making a whole person inside of your body while also keeping you alive as well_. It's a big fucking deal.

And if you're not 100% on board with going through that? Don't let anybody bully you until risking your life.

And if you're excited to get pregnant? Learn your risks and take care of yourself and I support you in your whole making a person thing. Parents say it's the most meaningful thing in their life, so you know, I'm happy for your future happiness.

Point being, everybody should be educated so we are all making informed choices. And we should strive to respect those informed choices.
