How do you find pose references for all those gorgeous and cute and aaaaaaa drawings. H o w. Where. (<-from someone struggling to draw characters interacting)
(if you don't use references, take it as a compliment to your godly anatomy and posing skills)
I don't really use references for poses that much. I'm not sure how to explain this without sounding weird but when I'm about to draw something, I visualize it in my mind, and when it's character art I sort of see them as 3D models that can be posed and rotated. And I just sort of try to replicate that on paper, sometimes it's easy and sometimes it doesn't work out at all (a good reminder that when you browse someone's art, you usually only see the pieces that the artist is at least passably proud of, not the piles of failed projects that went nowhere).

The Spider tag is a fucking MINEFIELD I just opened it to see if there were any good posts I needed to add to the queue and I scrolled for less than a minute and saw a post saying Lo’ak shot first and Lyle Wainfleet was justified in shooting Neteyam in self defense (not true and also INSANE TAKE) and a post that said Spider saying “don’t hurt her” and Kiri saying “don’t kill him” means Spider didn’t think Quaritch was capable of killing Kiri (W I L D) skskskskksks ya’ll need JESUS, especially that first post.

Mina's incredible (and underrated) detective prowess would be very useful I bet. Put her on the helm Integra, Van Helsing praised her brains as being above everyone's including himself for a reason.
I honestly can't guess what the chemistry between Integra and Mina would be. Integra doesn't really click with me as a classically heroic character, for all that she does focus on saving humanity from the undead via Alucard and her forces, being the Boss Lady etc etc. She's miles away from being as insidious as an Amanda Waller, but...
The hotel. The fucking hotel will never leave me.
Yes, the order went directly against 'soldiers of the enemy,' but those soldiers had been lied to about who and what they were charging into. Which was obvious even without being a fly on the wall to know their higher-ups had fed them some BS to march them into death and win their own power grab from Millennium. She didn't tell Alucard to 'make it quick' or even just to 'neutralize.' She told him to search and destroy. Folding to Alucard's egging and negging to seem like a Worthy War Commander in the grand scheme~ of the plot
She's not heartless, exactly, but she is arctic and surprisingly quick to breeze past the loss of lives that aren't under her direct care/command. While she might respect Mina's abilities and investigative skills--I wouldn't be surprised if Mina could intuit Millennium's endgame well before the climax could happen--Integra inherited none of her ancestor's warm regard, supposing Abraham van Hel(l)sing had any of the original's tenderness in him (50/50 considering this takes place in aggro horror territory). We can't even say if this universe's Mina played any big role in cornering Dracula; she might just have been a targeted damsel.
All that said, I think Integra would see Mina as another time-displaced bleeding heart with a few useful skills, same as Jonathan. Someone to be an ally at best, a liability at worst. So I don't see her handing over any reins or offering to be co-girlbosses any time soon :c

A fresh, new, unhappy counter-textual Tolkien headcanon for you all (that I will now proceed to try to forget because it’s too unhappy for me to apply to anything):
You know how Aman is supposed to be clean and pure and safe from the taint of Melkor? At least moreso than the rest of Arda?
Yeah, I think that's way, way less true after the drowning of Numenor. Like, it's not Angband-and-Mordor foul, but I can't buy that it's any cleaner than Rivendell.
Because Tolkien has set up a world where genocidal defense of your territory has to come at a metaphysical price. Because when you maintain paradise on the corpses of children and enslaved people and non-combatants, it can't be paradise anymore. Because I cannot buy that the silmarils would burn the sons of Feanor over three kinslayings, and that Finrod is Doomed because he would have taken the stolen boats if he had the chance, but Aman itself is untouched by the murder of thousands, even if Eru is the one doing the murder.

thinking about how out of the four reservation dogs, jackie singled in on elora and tried to extend a hand to her....how she gave elora her only knife and offered to sit next to the random white dude they did not know.......how she immediately went ‘fuck this’ to the weird vibes in that white lady’s house and went to get elora, and although nearly made the selfish choice to leave her there, did go back for her.....asking her questions about daniel and even divulging what happened to her brother.......how she sought out help in order to get elora’s car back (’this is my friend elora danan’)......showing up when elora’s grandmother passed even though she tried to play it off like her aunt forced her and clarifying with elora that they were gunna try again for california, despite not even ‘needing’ elora now since her car was busted and her money was stolen........driving elora to the seminar and even after storming out deeply hurt from what willie-jack said, still texted elora to say sorry for ditching and ask what she was up to.....standing next to elora after helping save cheese where you can see the couple inches of height difference....helping the rez dogs get elora’s car back and then stepping aside on her own to quietly tell elora to be careful going to california and good luck, elora assuring her they’d be back and jackie softly smiling in return.....
like, I think jackie sees a lot of herself in elora, sees the same deeply wounded hurt over losing someone close and a need to escape it (and elora likewise, as they are very similar). they’ve both become jaded and guarded from losing someone, and feel a want to simply pull away from those they’re close to - a feeling, that they have to carry it all themselves, just take care of their own worries and needs and therefore eliminate any risk of pain or being let-down from others. but in the end, their kind natures that still shine underneath come out, and you see them for what they really are - hurt, grieving kids who in the end, don’t really want to cause any harm. and, I think, the love they carry from those they lost (elora from her connection with daniel, jackie’s from her brother who clearly cared about her) shows in their inevitable choices to do the right thing. they’re both so alike, and that’s what makes the dynamic so interesting.
but also, at the same time.......gay activity.

You're quite the epic one
I just found this program that converts MTG cards into D&D monster stat blocks and at first I was like "how would that even work?" And I figured that it probably looked at power/toughness, cost, color, types, and keyword abilities to set some basic stats and powers, but still, how do you give a monster attacks based on a magic card? Probably just generic attacks based off its power that the user is supposed to rewrite into something fitting. Looking at the examples they give, there's no way it could possibly generate abilities like that. These are obviously edited afterward to add cool fitting and flavorful abilities. So I plugged in Skeleton Archer and
So I downloaded it and plugged in Skeleton Archer and there's some stuff like its language being "Can't speak but understands the language it knew in life", which is naturally from it being a skeleton, and a longbow attack, obviously from being an archer, but then
That's... definitely not a regular archer ability. It's fitting of a black skeleton archer, and you can draw a connection to its damage ability, but how could the program possibly do that? I plugged in Apprentice Sharpshooter and, naturally, it didn't have that ability, but what it did have was
That's DEFINITELY a reference to it putting +1/+1 counters on itself. How much of a card's text does this thing read?! I looked around the page, searching for details on how exactly this thing works. Is it AI or something!? The only thing I found was the patch notes and
It's not AI. It's all painstakingly handwritten, looking for specific common strings of text and mapping them to custom abilities. Combining the abilities with colors and types to make even more detailed abilities like Cursed Arrow. This program is a work of art.

I'm not familiar with the market for buying figures, I've never done it and only ever gotten them as gifts. But that Scary Monsters Diego looks so fucking good, I want to buy it for myself. Do you know where I might be able to pre-order/buy it once it comes out? Would I have to use a proxy service? What social media should I follow for updates on when it will be released? Sorry if this is a lot, I just dont really know the process for this sort of thing and you seem knowledgeable.
I don't have many details, there's no pre-order date yet and I can't find whether he's limited or standard release, which would affect where and how you could purchase him. He should go up for sale on Medicos' e-shop, I've used a proxy to shop there and it was pretty easy. If he gets a wider release you can buy him directly. I don't think we'll have new info until at least this Summer.
So, wait for production and release updates at Medicos's twitter and maybe refer to his page on MFC for updated price and date information. Also, any of the official Jojo social sites should carry announcements when he gets closer to being preorder-able.

first impression of Youngblood is “been a minute since I’ve played any of the BJ ‘trilogy’ but that man is not near as mobile as his daughters”, very fun
also it’d have been nice if you could shoot while waiting for the other Blazko Twin to revive you, but otherwise, excellent, no notes

Like these tags... besides me not thinking fma is a lesson against propaganda, I just read them and was like sorry, I don't think I'd be like Mr mustang! Yes the "you are not immune to propaganda" meme, but idk I feel like theres a difference??? Idk, I get the argument but :/ the series still feels... incredibly sympathetic to the people who weren't literally murdered. There's also very few (I gonestly can't even name any atm beyond the rockbells) character sympathetic to the ishvalans while they were getting murdered, so... thats not smth I've seen mentioned
