⠀⠀⠀⠀A silent question, heard loud and clear. Even though it never leaves her mouth, the slight furrowing of brows - the corners of his mouth curling down. A gaze just barely sharper than before, a pointed response with a single reply, a bold one.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Those waters are best left alone.
"I'm sure that there are a great many who loathe that they didn't have the chance to handle Thelma personally, including those of Section 2 that have returned."
⠀⠀⠀⠀He himself is on the list - a front runner on the list of people that would have wanted a crack at putting Thelma down. A damn shame that the Blue Reverberation got to him first, before anything could be handled internally. Ah, but of course that wasn't where the efforts stopped. Fischl - contracted by the Shi - was performing a covert investigation of Shi West to see if any corruption was breeding in his own branch of the association.
⠀⠀⠀⠀The passing of judgement is hardly unilateral, the Shi Director gauging her just as much as she's gauging him. Perhaps she is comparatively young or "inexperienced," going off of her Grade, but it'd be a mistake to consider either of those things true when dealing with Hana. Unlike other Associations, even the lower rungs of Hana were more than capable of personally dealing with rathe significant threats - and she was in a position of leadership as well.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀You don't get where she is by being bad at your job.
"Harsh assumptions, Ma'am. Just because assassinations are what we're good at, don't assume that it's my preference. I like a good investigation as much as the next person."
⠀⠀⠀⠀If he wasn't the investigative type, he wouldn't have gone out of his way to bring in an outside investigator with advanced means at their disposal. Arms remain fairly lax at his sides, though his left hand rests on the sheathe of his weapon - a long-established habit. Better to be ready for anything than lose even a half of a second to drawing your weapon.
"Fischl's report includes the last seen location of The Smiling Faces before they fell victim to the Library, and she has provided assessments and approximations of where they are currently active after being restored. If you want to get to some hands-on investigation, her report suggested that the largest center of activity from them was on the border between K Corp and L Corp."
⠀⠀⠀⠀No other motions drawn out from him, other than his head and gaze visibly tracking her movements. Looked like he was going to get a look at what the 'Phoenix of Hana' could do.
"I've no need for additional preparation before departure, at least. I'd rather not waste any time getting to business if possible."
⠀⠀⠀⠀And it's her chance to see what the rumored 'Walking Death' can do, up close and personal. Only the likes of the Viridian Zephyr ever got a chance for such a thing, while still being alive afterward.
@sercphs sent: "Based off of the information that the Immernachtreich Office provided, it seems that the collapse of Shi South occurred as a combined effort between the Star of the City 'The Blue Reverberation,' and Thelma - the Section 1 Director, someone who was acting heavily in his own self interest instead of following rules and code." The Shi West Section 1 Director stands before the Hana Fixer, old-fashioned clipboard in his hand as he glances over the information on the list. "Projected complete recovery time is suspected to take several months, upwards of over a year. With only a small portion of South Section 2 being returned after the second White Nights, I am personally coming to you as a representative of Hana to aide myself and Shi South in their recovery."
"So many fixers are inclined towards those sorts of actions, aren't they?" The ice blue gaze in the Hana Association's bears down on the Shi director. Or, up, rather. And yet despite that discrepancy in height there's no shortness of intimidation that the silver haired woman seemed capable of. Time and experience had tempered her from her own days working with the other associations. Carried in the expression are no words but a question echoes silently never the less.
And you're not like one of them, are you?
Challenging as her tone may be, the indifference and stalwart mannerism on display is itself largely unaffected. It's too early to say she's impressed by any of Seth's character, but at the least he's not a dog waiting to bark or chase something into a ditch for fun. The City had enough of those for Hana to deal with. To say nothing of phenomena. Both were sources of headaches more often than not. As prestigious as her position may be, there were those times that she missed Liu or other groups.
The climb had ended. Hadn't it? No. Of course not. Eira Kestrova still had a bit further to go before she would truly be free.
"And Thelma paid for his betrayal, before anyone at Hana had a chance to make any corrective actions ourselves." There's a hint of disappointment. Though in Eira's case it's because she knows that she wouldn't have been involved in that operation. Her team was more focused on phenomena and distortions herself. A huntress, set with the task of tracking down these villains that pose a growing threat. Cutting weeds. A dirty task.
This gives Eira an idea of why she may have been sought out by Seth. A Grade 1 fixer. An individual who came to prominence (so to speak) before her time at Hana. He was accomplished. Capable. But also with suspicious connections of his own. Eyes remain narrowed for a moment longer before she relents the undeclared confrontation and judgement. A sweeping gesture becomes a sweeping step. The white coat of her Hana attire flowing behind her as she takes up the clipboard to read for herself.
"I see no reason to decline your request. Hm. Fischl's work here even brings up what I already suspected. The Smiling Faces. What a perfect coincidence as I have my own interests in dealing with them. With Shi South weakened, they're like to try and expand their influences. And in doing so expose themselves."
A smile crosses Eira's features, perhaps just as intimidating as the glare she held before.
"I'll have my team sent over promptly. For now. How about we do some initial groundwork, Seth. I know your sort prefers cutting them down, but it's time to knock on a few doors."

How do you think the immortal guys react to realizing that their S/O is mortal?
dead ass had to back it up and remind myself who all is immortal lol XD
So I think it's safe to say all of them would try and find a work around the moment they realized
I think all of them had the same or a similar thought process of 'heh, my little mortal s/o is so cute. mortals are so silly! ........................SHIT.'
Stirling: doesn't panic but he is still taken a back a bit. realization sucker punched him out of no where. I feel like he'd spend the next month or two calling in favors and thumbing through spellbooks. He wouldn't tell you he's doing it though. He'd play it cool, then surprise you with it one day and would not take no for an answer. 'I got you a potion to turn you immortal, drink up darling'
yes I know he is a vampire and could turn you into a vampire too. Yes you will have to point that out to him as an option. yes he will feel stupid he forgot about that.
In his defense, he spent so long thinking of you as a snack in one way or another, it probably never even crossed his mind to change the dynamic
Seth: also does not panic, but is like '*narrows eyes* Satan damn it.' Probably goes through a few options like Stirling but ultimately ends up doing some form of spell or curse or blessing--- whichever he could make happen on his own or could get someone to do for him without having to owe them one. (that's a big owe and he can find other ways thanks)
Full on does not tell you he's going to do it, he's trying to do it, or when he's done it. He might not even tell you for a while. He also wants it to be a surprise but like--- a funny one. Make the moment memorable ya know?
He'd either wait till you've noticed yourself or wait till you find out the hard way. He's very proud of himself for pulling this off though. You should totally pay him back! How about starting with a kiss??
Reece: is Reece immortal?? eh, he's close enough. Reece would realize it randomly one day, probably while pointing out 'you are only human' or something like that-- then launch into quirky nerdy panic cause FUCK YOU'RE HUMAN! YOU GUYS DIE LIKE-- ALL THE TIME! OH. NO.
Also ends up digging through files/books and looking into favors but does it in a sci-fi way. It probably ends with you getting some kind of sci-fi device that's basically magic that stops time but only for you. Like a pocket watch that halts your aging and therefore your dying so long as you wear it. It's a little like a wedding ring the way he presents it.
Unlike the other two though, he really does make it a choice. And it's a choice you can back out of for any reason if you need to. (well slowly of course)
or pass it down! ....or sell it if you must. No need to waste a perfectly good age defying magic space pocket watch!
so I'm gonna say now I think all the Kitsune guys pry/ask/demand/make a deal with the gods to give you immortality. They need to be careful they don't accidentally turn you into something not human that you really don't want to be and also have to remember to include not aging in the deal, but I will say I think somehow they make it happen! I also feel like they all end up at 3 different gods who handle it somewhat differently. Also the blessing has a physical form that you have to accept. No gods will be forcing immortality on you today! As for some finer details...
Aki: when he realizes it he panics. Aki joins Reece in the panics about it crew. A LIFE TIME WITHOUT HIS BUNNY??? HAVING TO WATCH THEM GROW OLD AND DIE?! Okay the old part is fine BUT NOT THE DYING PART! I think Aki's god is a goddess who he pleads so sincerely and dramatically (this boy is big anime crying-- ghibli tears and heaving sobs) He even offers to give up all jokes and pranks in exchange for the blessing. The goddess can't help but be won over by his earnestness. She agrees to the blessing so long as he loves and treasures his Bunny with this same level of sincerity every day.
Honestly things go really well for Aki lol!
I think the blessing takes the form of a candy! Yum!
Haru: I think Haru tries to deny his panic. He's cool on the outside, if maybe a little bothered, but it continues to eat away at him deeply. He's never had to contemplate moving on from a real relationship cause he's low key never really had one. He's been dumped before (hard to believe I know) but he never really cared and got over it pretty quickly.
But what happens to him when he actually has to move on from the one person he could never imagine moving on from? What happens when you're gone?? I think at one point he did consider 'oh I'll find a way to move on, I'm me', but the more he thought it over and the more he looked at you and realized you wouldn't be there someday, the more he realized that not only might he not actually be able to; he really doesn't want to.
He ends up telling you all this--- I think for a while he was going to just disappear for a bit with little notice and just-- hopefully come back with this blessing from you, but I think he didn't want to leave you on a lurch. He wants you to know what he's doing, he wants you to be part of this, this is YOUR future together, and he wants to make sure it's what you really want. That HE'S what you really want.
If you agree to spend this eternity with him, I think he ends up off in the spirit realm, full on questing for a god who'd be willing to do this for him. I think he ends up with an elder god of the forest who is well aware of who Haru is and isn't buying it. 'Immortality can be as much of a curse as it is a blessing-- and you wish me to put that burden upon some poor innocent simply because the player does not wish to loose his play thing??'
It takes a lot of convincing before the god even considers Haru's legitimately this committed. Eventually the god caves on one condition-- if he ever were to kiss or lay with another, his lover with loss their immortality.
'Better they are allowed to move on, then to live with having to be forsaken by the likes of you...'
basically he puts the ball in Haru's court, and he plans to run with it straight back to you.
I think the blessing takes form of a blossom you must eat!
Fuyu: He is actually another member of the panic squad. Although it's less comedic and more like an attack.
He has a panic attack about it is what I'm saying.
I think he blazes off onto a trail (he leaves a note 'Back soon. Love you. Fuyu <3') and straight to an ancient powerful mountain god that he knows takes refuge at the snowy top of the tallest mountain. I think he's initial pitch is a mix of plea and demand.
'GODS OF THE HEAVENS! MAKE MY LOVE IMMORTAL!'
It doesn't go down smooth at first.
'What business does a beast such as you have in shouting your demands to the heavens?' a voice booms back.
Fuyu is taken aback, both because the god is frightful but also because in his heated haste, he didn't realize how shouty he was being.
He drops to his knees, forehead to the snow covered ground as he asks again more humbly.
'Please-- I beg of you. My wretched loneliness has finally been broken-- I do not wish to ever know the sting of that curse again!'
The god turns to him, a bit more curious,
'do you really think a day of sunshine will melt the snow atop the mountain?? Or that a few months of peace will wash the blood from your hands??'
He doesn't know how to respond to that. Fuyu has spent a while making a mends, but the mountain god is right. How was he ever to truly make amends... If he is a changed man-- how does he show it??
'What must I do?' He asks, peaking shyly up from the snow. The mountain god sighs, and thinks on it a while. Fuyu is practically buried in the building snow when the booming voice finally replies.
'Such a blessing requires absolute change... only that would be worth such a gift... Here, Fox-- take this to your love,' an envelope of tea and a small dagger fall from the heavens and lands before Fuyu, 'Have them drink the tea of the heavens, and know this-- If ever draw a drop of blood from another again-- they will die.'
When he journey's back down, Fuyu finds you waiting for him. He doesn't fully realize how long he's been gone-- he kind of flew off in a hurry. He tells you of his journey, his goal, the blessing he has returned with. He actually doesn't even know if you'll accept it. If you do, be makes you the best cup of tea you've ever tasted-- the wax seal opened by his new blade, which immediately sheathed, and hidden deep away.
He is a changed man-- and he intends to stay that way. ...Especially now that your life depends on it...

Egyptian Guardians fanfic: Seth's Awaken Journey
Chapter: 2 Shelter and Care part 2
Warmth was one of the things that he could feel he was warm but not the kind he expected from the blazing heat of the sun the sands of the harsh desert and heat from the sun that always fell against his tired body not caring if he got sunburned or not for his mind was blank endlessly wandering until one day he couldn't no more and crawled up to a spot where everything went black. but now something felt different completely different he felt a form of being secure over his body, at first it felt tired but at the same time was comfort it says if someone something was taking pity on him and to let him (despite being immortal) be at rest physically and somehow emotionally for the first time in a long time. It was as if he was in a place of comfort, like the soothing heat from a fire and secure warmness of a blanket he could feel an aura around him that he hadn't felt in a long time, a very long time was he dreaming? He couldn't remember the last time he dreamed not without having awful nightmares about the pasts but this one was different so it wasn't a dream? ... It felt so real..so..wait he could feel it. He could feel something about his environment but what? Slowly a pair of two big blue eyes hidden with long red eyelashes slowly were as blue as the sea and sky shining like the stars from a face as pale like milk though a bit flushed from fever still felt soft as ever Seth was awake, letting out a soft moan slowly set up from his bed eyes still blurry from his deep sleep as he took in his surroundings

"where..am I?" He heard himself whisper sounding weak after many years of staying silent it slightly hurt his throat due to dehydration but he could feel that he had been given water but who...? Unknown to Seth his answers would soon be heard when he heard a gasped coming to his left slowly sitting up pulling his knees up close to him turning as his vision he recognized a face he hadn't seen in centuries or even thought of ever seeing again.."Mother..?"

“Oh my son, you’ve awakened,” said the godly woman, she stood in front of her mortal offspring, wearing a shawl made from the finest materials that draped over her starry sky body.
“Please drink my son, replenish your energy,” said Nut as she handed Seth a small saucer of water for him to drink. Nut then took a seat beside Seth, just to enjoy this small amount of time with him.
Still a bit surprised by his mother's appearance Seth couldn't help but gently the cup to his soft pink lips no longer chapped due to his mother's care as he took tiny steps from the drink the coolness of the water quenching his thirst and soothing the back of his throat until it was empty. Once he finished he looked back to his mother "..mother.. what are you doing here.. why am I here?" He was so confused and had many questions. "why...did you bring me here.."
“The desert can be savage to mortals, I could see you couldn’t make it any longer without hydration,” said Nut as she gazed towards the vastness of the desert. Despite having what was indeed a half-blood son, she still didn’t understand humans other than the fact that their needs often clouded their judgment.
“I think the question should be… why are you here?” asked Nut, trying to remind Seth that she was indeed a god and his options at this time were very few.
Seth bowed his head unsure of the answer "I..I don't know all I remember is wanting to lay down and close my eyes..my..my body my mind just couldn't take it anymore I just wanted to make myself small and...and not be seen again, but I'm still confused mother why are you helping me after all I've done.." his lips were beginning to quiver tears peeking behind his big blue eyes as his body shook slightly in panic why?
“Seth… my beloved. I’ve spent eons observing the ballads of man. I’ve seen both their triumphs and their blunders. Some men do stupid things, some never yield to redemption” said Nut, her voice sounding grim as she explained bluntly about how some people failed to learn from their mistakes.
“My son, you may be the son of a goddess; but you are too the son of a mortal man. I see you as someone who’s redeemable, redeemable than most mortals” said Nut as she turned to look down at her recovering son, her night sky face smiled as she gently felt her hand along her son’s handsome face.

Hearing those words the tears finally broke like a dam as Seth let out a heavy sob and finally broke down after holding up all his emotions he kept locked away all these years as he reached to Nut "Mam..Mamie," something he hadn't called her since he was a child, as he pressed his face against her in a desperate hug as he let out all the pent up emotions in his heart with heavy tears falling from his face soaking her dress as he spoke in shaky words how he was so sorry for all he had done, that he didn't mean for it to happen and how could it all go so wrong for getting angry and hurt when he discovered Nephthys's betrayal and how Anubis wasn't his. Confronting Osiris on demanding the truth leading to his 'death' revealing that it was an accident but he didn't mean for it to happen and when he tried to tell the truth to Isis she didn't give him a chance to explain as she ran off believing he betrayed everyone and killed her husband out of rage causing the others to leave the kingdom including now ex-wife and (once) son leaving him to run the kingdom alone with no experience in how to be a king in a ruler causing Egypt to go in a state of depression and chaos has he tried to keep things under control and fix everything but it seemed that he kept making things worse no matter what he did with all the stress and Dark rumors spreading he just didn't know how to handle it anymore as they saw nothing but a monster.
As he confessed to his mother about the past all Nut could do was gently rub his back and hold them as if he were a little child again giving him a soothing comfort only a mother can give as she listened until her son's heavy sobs became hiccups, eyes all red and puffy from hot tears and runny nose until there was nothing left and his breathing had calmed down grabbing a rag gently wiped his face giving him a gentle smile
“Your kingdom needs a ruler; your subjects need your guidance. Despite their bitterness, they are stray animals without your guidance” said Nut, tilting her head in solidarity for her son’s sad state. Nut continued to stroke her son’s long smooth reddish locks, showing her undying affection towards her boy.
“Seth, a mother’s comfort can only go so far. Yet you will eventually need to return to your kingdom, to return as a leader who despite your flaws has always kept the well-being of the kingdom in mind” said Nut as she planted a kiss on her son’s forehead, hoping her act of motherly affection would restore his confidence.
Though lightened by his mother's words gloominess still covered Seth's face, no there is no Kingdom to go back to the temples the people would come for his guidance in the wars were long forgotten and torn after his defeat and Egypt trying to rebuild no one would want him around and to be honest many have long since forgotten about him during his exile he never heard whispers about him in the wind or rare encounters from caravans with humans that he made sure to stay hidden from his presence it says if they didn't care about talking about him after the depression he put them through and he doesn't blame them and to be truthful he has had a deep feeling for quite some time that he no longer has a place in Egypt nor has nothing to do with it "I don't think that's true, Mamie to be honest I don't feel like I have a place here anymore in the desert nor within Egypt itself I feel there is no place for me here now." he looking at his mother again showing in his big blue eyes he meant it and she could see within him that Seth didn't feel like he belonged here anymore.
Suddenly a small gurgle could be heard he looked down realizing it was coming from Seth's tummy causing the once-former guardian to blush slightly pink embarrassed "I'm sorry, but I think I'm hungry" Nut giggled at her son's awkward bashfulness "How about some hot porridge then," she suggested and after that she’ll set him up with a hot bath to clean him up and continue their conversation later.
Next Chapter 3: a bath

"GREEN LANTERN" (2011) Review

"GREEN LANTERN" (2011) Review Green seemed to be the dominate colors regarding costumed crime fighters in 2011. The year marked the end of the television series, "SMALLVILLE", which featured Superman's colleague, the Green Arrow. Earlier that year saw the release of "THE GREEN HORNET", starring Seth Rogen and Jay Chou. And during the summer of 2011, Warner Brothers Studios released their adaptation on the DC Comics superhero, the Green Lantern.
Directed by Martin Campbell, "THE GREEN LANTERN" told the story of a hotshot test pilot for Ferris Aircraft named Hal Jordan, who becomes the Green Lantern . . . or one of them. Before Earth was formed, a group of beings called the Guardians of the Universe used the green essence of willpower to create an intergalactic police force called the Green Lantern Corps. One such Green Lantern, Abin Sur defeated a fear-essence being Parallax and imprisoned him in the Lost Sector on the ruined planet Ryut. However, Parallax eventually escapes from his prison, kills four Green Lanterns and destroys two planets. After Parallax mortally wounds Abin Sur, the latter crashes on Earth and commands his Green Lantern ring to find a worthy successor. The ring chooses Hal Jordan and transports the latter to the crash site, where a dying Abin Sur appoints him a Green Lantern by telling him to take the lantern and speak the oath. Back at home, Hal says the oath of the Green Lanterns, while under trance from the glow of the lantern. He is whisked away to the Green Lantern Corps home planet of Oa, where he meets and trains with Tomar-Re and Kilowog. He encounters Corps leader Sinestro, who is not pleased that a human, considered primitive in compared to other species, has become a Green Lantern. Meanwhile, Senator Robert Hammond summons his son, scientist Hector Hammond, to a secret government facility to perform an autopsy on Abin Sur's body. A piece of Parallax from inside the corpse inserts itself inside Hector, mutating the latter and giving him telepathic and telekinetic abilities . . . at the cost of his sanity. Not only does Hal have to deal with his private insecurities and fears about being a Green Lantern; but also, the uneasy state of his relationship with his boss/ex-girlfriend, Carol Ferris; and most importantly, the increasingly dangerous Hector and Parallax, who is slowly making its way toward Earth. Unfortunately for "GREEN LANTERN", it flopped at the box office. Because of its $200 million budget, it is considered a major failure and embarrassment for Warner Brothers. The critics tore the film apart before it even reached the movie theaters. And a good number of moviegoers stayed away in droves. In fact, its failure reminded me of what happened to "SPEED RACER" back in 2008, another Warner Brothers release. Pity. Because I enjoyed "GREEN LANTERN" and thought it was a solid, if mediocre adaptation of the famous comic book hero. Now "GREEN LANTERN" was not the best superhero movie that I have ever seen. The movie's plot struck me as one of those typical superhero origins tale that every fan of this type of movie genre has to . . . well, endure. Some of these origin stories have managed to knock my socks off. I cannot say the same about "GREEN LANTERN". I thought it was tolerable entertainment, yet mediocre. And I do have a major complaint about the screenplay written by Greg Berlanti, Michael Green, Marc Guggenheim and Michael Goldenberg. I thought it had failed to form a stronger connection . . . or relationship between the infected Hector Hammond and Parallax. The two characters only shared one scene and seemed over pretty damn quick. But I do believe that the critics' enmity was undeserved. "GREEN LANTERN" provided drama, some laughs, action and special effects. The screenwriters did a great job in developing Hal Jordan's character, allowing actor Ryan Reynolds plenty of dramatic meat to show off his acting skills. The screenplay also provided some strongly written supporting characters - especially Carol Ferris, Sinestro, and Hector Hammond, who was provided a strong subplot involving his relationship with his father. And aside from my disappointment over the Hector-Parallax connection, I thought the screenwriters did a solid job in providing a strong connection between Hal's personal demons, his introduction to the Green Lantern Corps and the dangers of Parallax. The behind-the-scenes production for "GREEN LANTERN" struck me as outstanding. I was very impressed. Felicity Browning led a team that provided first rate makeup for some of the cast. I was especially impressed by their work on Mark Strong, Peter Sarsgaard, and even Ryan Reynolds' eyes, while in his Green Lantern garb. But Grant Major's production designs for the planet of Oa really blew me away. I believe the visual effects supervised by Jim Berney and special effects by John S. Baker probably helped. Not only was I impressed by the designs and effects featured in the Oa sequences, but also the design of Parallax, which freaked me out a bit. As I had earlier pointed out, the movie's screenwriters did a solid job in their characterization of Hal, making him a complex and interesting character. But it would have never worked without Ryan Reynolds, who not only provided his trademark wit to his performance, but also provided Hal with a great deal of pathos and complexity. Reynolds also created great chemistry with his co-star Blake Lively. I had been very impressed by her performance in the 2010 movie, "THE TOWN". And her performance as Hal's ex-girlfriend, boss and fellow test pilot, Carol Ferris; only proved that my original opinion of her acting talents was not a fluke. She managed to be very impressive. Ever since I saw him in "JARHEAD" years ago, I have been a fan of Peter Sarsgaard. His portrayal of the insecure senator's son/scientist Hector Hammond made me into an even bigger fan. I think it was a testament to Sarsgaard's acting talent that he allowed Hector to remain a sympathetic character, despite his transformation into a villain from the Parallax infection. And it has been a while since I have seen Mark Strong portray a good guy when I first saw this film. For me, his portrayal of fellow Green Lantern Sinestro, seemed spot on . . . and a breath of fresh air. Both Angela Bassett and Tim Robbins provided solid support as government scientist Dr. Waller and Hector's father, Senator Robert Hammond. Mind you, I found nothing remarkable about Bassett's role, which is not surprising, thanks to the screenwriters. But it was interesting to see Robbins portray a somewhat smarmy personality, who seemed more interested in his son's ambitions (or lack of) than the latter's well-being. Look, "GREEN LANTERN" may not be the one of the best comic book hero movies ever made. And it does not strike me as one of the most original, let alone outstanding I have seen of its genre. But I do not believe it deserved the harsh words that many movie critics dumped on it. Thanks to the behind-the-scenes production, Martin Campbell's direction and the cast led by Ryan Reynolds, I thought that "GREEN LANTERN" turned out to be a solid and entertaining film.

@dcviated asked:

"Friend. Buddy. Lets go bar hopping."
"I still have paperwork to do, Wylan."
⠀⠀⠀⠀The documents in his hands aren't going to fill themselves out, after all. Being the director of such a high section of the Shi and handling all of the paperwork himself makes for long work days. He's got nothing better to do without a contract, but a fair few likely have their concerns about the fabled 100 hour work week he regularly undertakes.
"Maybe next week."

spent the night
Part three of this [1] [2]. New Moon AU where Charlie calls Harry instead of Billy when Bella gets depressed, Leah and Bella become close, and Leah imprints on Bella.
Leah watches Bella’s chest rise and fall as she sleeps in the faded moonlight coming in through her bedroom window and runs the day’s events over in her head.
She remembers being unwilling to let go of Bella for more than a few moments at a time. She remembers not paying attention as the tribe said goodbye to her father because Bella was next to her and she was somehow more important. She remembers the rage building in her chest as Bella recalled the events that took place in Arizona months earlier and lead to the redheaded leech wanting to kill her.
“Her mate, James... he was a tracker. He wanted to track me. He tricked me into meeting him alone and bit me on the wrist.”
Leah’s eyes trail down to Bella’s exposed wrist and the pale scar that rests there. It’s quite a bit colder than the rest of her skin, and it sparkles in the sunlight.
“The Cullens showed up and got James off of me, but I already had his venom in my body, and I was dying. Carlisle said Jasper didn’t have enough self-control to suck the venom out, so E-E-Edward had to do it. Emmett and Jasper killed James, and now Victoria wants to kill me.”
The idea of any bloodsucker getting their mouths anywhere close to Bella is nearly enough to make Leah phase. If one even thinks about biting Bella again, she knows she’s going to actually lose it.
She even told Bella that earlier, when she was still shaking from telling her story. “They’ll never get your fangs close to you again. They’ll have to go through me first.”
“A mate for a mate.”
A mate for a mate. What bullshit. Edward Cullen didn’t even have the guts to kiss Bella the way she wanted. He might have considered Bella to be his mate, but there was no way she thought he was hers. Not anymore.
It was Sam’s idea for Bella to stay on the Rez for the night. “We smelled her nearby earlier. You should stick close to us until we figure out how to include your house and your school in our patrol routes.”
“But Charlie--”
Seth had come to the rescue. “He won’t say no to our mom if she asks. He knows how close you and Leah are.”
And so here Bella was, sleeping in Leah’s bed and wearing an old t-shirt of Leah’s and not much else, while Leah stands guard over her. Bella had laughed when Leah told her the plan. “E-Edward used to do that, you know. I’d leave my window open and he’d come in and watch me sleep. He didn’t need to sleep, but he said he liked watching me do it.”
Leah had growled. “That’s creepy as hell, Bella. Jesus. I’m not watching you all night. I’ll crawl into bed when Embry comes to take over watch.” And Bella had blushed all pretty at the thought of Leah sharing a bed and rolled over and shut her eyes and pretended to sleep. She must have been more tired than either of them thought, because she hadn’t needed to pretend for long before her breathing evened and her heart slowed to a resting pace.
Bella whimpers and unconsciously tugs the threadbare blankets up closer to her chin. Leah decides fuck waiting for Embry and pulls the covers back just enough to slide into her twin bed next to her imprint.
Imprint. Still the biggest issue in the room, aside from the vampires. Bella had looked up at her earlier and asked, “How strong is the imprint?”
“From what Sam and Jared say, it’s pretty damn strong. Sam sat on Emily porch for weeks before she even let him inside because he couldn’t stand to be too far away from her.”
“And it makes you love me?”
Leah had reached out to cup Bella’s cheek. “I don’t know. I mighta fallen in love with you without it.”
“Doubt it.”
“Hey.” Leah sat up a little straighter. “Don’t sell yourself short. You’re not too bad.”
Her plan had worked, spurring Bella to laugh a little, and their worries melted away, if just for a little bit. But then she’d sobered and said, “Sam will want to talk to the council tomorrow. About us. It’s weird enough for me to have shifted at all, but imprinting on another woman is a whole other issue.”
“Will you be in trouble?”
“I don’t think so. They have too much respect for the wolf god to try to go against him. But it might be intense.”
“You’ll be there with me?”
“You’d need a crowbar to pry me off of you.”
The bed is just crowded enough to give Leah an excuse to wrap and arm around Bella’s waist, but Bella doesn’t seem to mind, because she flings her leg over both of Leah’s and snuggles closer to her warmth. Leah lets loose a happy rumble in her chest and falls asleep quickly, content.
*
Bella’s still asleep when Leah wakes up, and Leah takes a moment to appreciate her position. Bella has somehow wormed her way around during the night so that she’s laying on top of Leah, touching almost no part of the bed except for where her toes brush against the sheets. This makes Leah much happier than is probably healthy, but she can’t bring herself to care.
A soft knock falls on her bedroom door and it opens to reveal Seth’s face. “Sam called earlier while you were asleep. The council wants to meet with us after breakfast.”
“Where?” Leah asks, pitching her voice low to avoid waking Bella. From the way she’s sleeping, she could use all the rest she can get.
“First Beach. They’re setting up for a bonfire tonight and didn’t want to waste time going to and from the community center.”
Leah hums. She remembers Bella coming to a few LaPush bonfires in the past. She wonders if she’ll want to go to this one. “Okay. Is breakfast almost ready?”
Seth casts a glance at the still-sleeping Bella. “Mom isn’t feeling up to cooking. I was wondering if Bella wanted to.”
Leah is loathe to wake Bella up, but her stomach is going to be angry soon if she doesn’t get any food into it, so she gently shakes her shoulder. “Hey, Bella. Wake up.”
*
Bella cooks breakfast.
It might be the imprint talking, but Leah’s pretty sure she’s never tasted anything better in her life.
*
Leah, Bella, and Seth walk down to First Beach after they clean up the kitchen. Leah keeps her arm around Bella’s waist the whole walk, rationalizing it by calling on Bella’s clumsy nature and the uneven ground leading down to the waterfront, though from the way Bella leans into her side and lets her head rest partially on her shoulder, her imprint doesn’t care too much.
They’re the last three of the relevant people to arrive, and Jacob fucking Black is still glaring at her, but, hey, she’s got Bella, she’s touching Bella, and she can’t bring herself to be bothered by his adolescent anger. Bella, on the other hand, seems a little more pained at her friend’s scorn, and Leah tightens her grip to comfort her.
Billy Black and Old Quil stand alone on the beach. There’s a pang in Leah’s heart at the sight; just a week ago, her father would have been standing with them. Beside her, Seth sniffles a little, but keeps his resolve. He’s a trooper, Leah knows, and he’s not going to let him being the youngest member of the pack make him a target for teasing.
Old Quil looks irritated. Well, at least Leah assumes he’s irritated. He always looks grumpy no matter what. “Thank you for joining us,” he says, the slightest bit of acid in his voice. Leah bristles, and she doesn’t need to look to know that the rest of the pack does, too. Even in human form, they’re in sync more often than not. They mean more to each other than any crusty old council will, and now that Bella is an imprint, she’s included in that. Emily is pack, Kim is pack, Bella is pack. That’s just how it is.
“We apologize for our lateness,” Seth says. “Our mother wasn’t feeling well so we had to make and clean up after breakfast.”
Billy winces at the mention of their mother, though Old Quil doesn’t seem the slightest bit moved. “Yes. Leah, Sam tells me you have imprinted.”
It’s not a question. Leah answers, “Yes, I have. Yesterday, I imprinted on Isabella Swan.”
Old Quil doesn’t even blink. “That’s impossible,” he says. “She is a hòkwat’, and a woman. She cannot help you further the shifting gene.”
Leah feels Bella tense at the unfamiliar word, most likely because of the venomous way Old Quil says it, and she readies to leap to her imprint’s defense, but Sam beats her to it. “With all due respect, are we so sure imprinting is about reproduction? In the legend, Taha Aki does not feel the need to have children with the Third Wife; he actually stops shifting in order to grow old with her.”
Billy smiles. “Good memory, Samuel.”
“What is your theory, then?” Old Quil asks.
Sam squeezes Leah’s shoulder--the first time he’s really touched her since she shifted--and steps past her so he stands between Old Quil and her and Bella. He’s protecting us, Leah realizes. “My theory,” he says, “is that imprinting is a way to help us ground ourselves to our human halves. The women we imprint on remind us of our mortality and help us to make rational decisions with that awareness.”
“And you would have me believe that a girl who has aligned herself with the Cold Ones is someone who would bring such a balance to a protector?” Old Quil asks.
“Yes,” says Sam, “because Bella and Leah are two women--” He emphasizes women in contrast to Old Quil’s flippant language-- “who have known true heartbreak, and who have bonded over that heartbreak. Neither of them is willing to risk losing another love again. Double that awareness, and we have the most careful protector we could ever hope to have.”
And Old Quil, who probably does have more to say, shuts his mouth and dismisses them.
*
Bella comes to the bonfire that night. Leah sticks by her side the entire time, almost like she’s been super glued to her, but Bella doesn’t complain. Leah enjoys watching her get to know the rest of the pack, fumbling with names from the rushed introduction yesterday and bonding with Kim and Emily over their shared imprint status. “I hope you’re not too easily embarrassed,” Kim teases, “because the guys have absolutely no shame.”
Bella looks up at Leah questioningly, and Leah answers her unasked query. “Shifting suddenly usually tears our clothes up, so if that happens, we have to walk around naked until we find replacements,” and Bella goes fire engine red and sends Kim into hysterics.
Jacob eventually makes his way over to them, still looking upset but not as angry as he was earlier. “Can I talk to you?” he asks Bella, and Leah knows he means alone.
Bella looks up at her and gives her a smile, like she knows what’s going on in her head. “I’ll be right back, okay?”
“Okay,” says Leah, even though she doesn’t feel very okay about this at all, and lets her go.
*
Bella returns a few minutes later, looking much more at ease, and she fits herself into Leah’s welcoming arms like she’s never been anywhere else. “I have school tomorrow,” she tells Leah, and Leah knows she’s really saying I need to leave soon.
“I’ll drive you home, Leah says. She doesn’t like the idea of Bella being off the Rez, but she knows Bella needs to go to school. If she has any chance of a life after all this is done, she needs a high school diploma. “Let me just tell Sam.”
Sam is more than happy to let Leah drive Bella home. “In fact,” he says, “why.don’t you stay in Forks tonight?”
“Really?”
“Yeah. It’s not good to be away from your imprint for too long, and she’ll be in school and doing homework all week long. Nighttime is the only time you’ll get to see her for a while.”
Leah wilts at the reminder that she won’t be able to be with Bella all day every day (and wow, what a pussy she’s turning into, huh? Damn imprint) and agrees.
*
Bella goes into her home through the front door, changes into her pajamas, says goodnight to Charlie, and opens her bedroom window.
“Leah?” she asks, voice quiet in the darkness of her room. They’re in Bella’s bed, much like they were in Leah’s last night, only this time they have to be quiet because Charlie is unaware of their little sleepover.
“Yeah?”
“You really love me?”
The absolute doubt in Bella’s voice is heartbreaking, and it makes Leah want to kill Edward fucking Cullen ten times over. “Yes, I do. You’re the most important thing in my entire world.”
“So you’ll never leave me?”
“I can’t go to school with you, but I’ll do my best to be here more often than not.”
Bella hums and presses herself closer to Leah’s heat. “Good.” Then, Leah feels cool fingers travelling up to cup her cheek, and she’s tilting her head down and Bella’s tilting her head up, and that first, tentative meeting of lips, almost too gentle to feel, is everything Leah never realized she wanted.

"Mh. One of them was sharp enough to at least tell that I'd struck."
⠀⠀⠀⠀A rarity to see anyone who can actually track his movements in any capacity when he's at work. That woman... Something about her seemed familiar. And then there's the others there, the one with the clock head gives off an unassuming presence - but there's something more to that clock...
"I doubt they have the ability to meaningfully inflict harm, unless their 'guide' chooses to directly intervene."
⠀⠀⠀⠀The Red Gaze, who'd been working alongside those Sinners as a "guide" of some kind, hanging back at their Bus... How curious. To have The Red Gaze of all people personally involved in matters with people like that group... Hm.
"I doubt he will, however. I assume you want me to keep an eye on the group while they're within your Nest?"
"Good, good~ Glad you understand that. A gardener must be diligent after all"
A smile with those sharp teeth bared replaced the hideous scowl. If it wasn't for the fact her face was so heavily modified she'd look so serene even with those shark-like teeth in her mouth. "It'd be a shame if we couldn't see eye to eye there." A shame and a bloody mess to clean up if things went differently. To be quite honest she does enjoy Seth's company so those feelings were spoken with a surprising sincerity
When it came to the Sinners Alfonso very well treated the twelve like practice targets for her forces when they were around. "A few of them are clever, too clever if you ask me." Oh, her mood soured yet again.
"I feel like they might be a thorn in my side for the foreseeable future."

I trust the path I travel is the right one. I've faith to go along it no matter what happens to me.
On Tuesday, 3 October 1955, the picturesque village of Chesham in Buckinghamshire (at the very end of the Metropolitan Line) transformed itself, for one day, into the fictional Lancashire village of Shawcross, where on another fateful day in the year of our Lord 1775 the out-of-work cottage weaver Seth Makepeace encounters the local landowner's daughter Mary Radcliffe.
It happens to be Mary's 21st birthday, a significant date under any circumstances, but she is as yet unaware of the historical dimension of this one particular moment in time as she attempts to pass in her horse-and-buggy a gang of shabbily-dressed workmen mending the village roads. It is a pivotal moment in every sense – she is lifted from her carriage to be safely deposited on the ground beyond the blockage – because the tall young man with the deep-set eyes and the curiously shambling walk who picks her up and puts her down is none other than her future husband.
Far from love at first sight, though, their initial exchange is fraught with tension (“Don’t dare touch me, you wretch!”), but before long they will come to recognize the mutual gain to be derived from what we would call a classic marriage of convenience: Mary, being of age and of eminent eligibility, needs to escape from an arranged union with a foppish aristocrat; Seth, being poor but clever, needs cash to realize his dream of building a modern factory. Mary, too, has big ideas: about social justice and relief of the poor, neither of which will come to fruition if she bows to her family’s wishes.
It takes the urgency of Mary’s situation for both of them to realize that their ambitions, for better or worse, are inextricably linked. Mary is willing to risk the loss of her inheritance; for Seth the worst case involves jail and deportation. The stakes are high, and so are the opportunities, which both of them can clearly see. A period of joyful optimism ensues; the mill is built, the village prospers, and for four years, progress in Shawcross seems unstoppable.
The year 1779 marks a decisive turning point in the fortunes not only of the Makepeace household but in the lives of many people in the village of Shawcross and beyond. Competition among the Lancashire mills is fierce, and Seth is hard-pressed to introduce ever more efficient means of production. To stay ahead of his rivals, Seth reckons he must either cut wages or turn out a superior product. A solution offers itself in a new device for mass-producing stronger and finer yarns, but the inventor is unwilling to reveal his secret. Seth blames his wife for the failure of the deal, and in a fit of drunken bravado Seth turns criminal and steals what he needs.
That same night, Seth returns to Radcliffe Hall with a troubled conscience, almost ready to confess his crime to the one person he has sworn never to hurt, but Mary’s own distress prevents him from adding to her troubles. It is this moment of supreme vulnerability - and supreme betrayal - that will come back to haunt them both as they must deal with the human dimension, and the human cost, of the historical forces at work. Seth goes on to do what he knows must be done: he copies the mechanism and puts it to work without acknowledging the inventor’s contribution. As long as he can protect Mary from what he knows must be done, his wife remains blissfully unaware and passionately supportive of her husband’s undertakings.
To prove the point, Mary can at last reveal to Seth that she is pregnant, their future happiness assured – when they receive a visit from Mr Sidebottom, inspector of patents, who in his turn reveals to Mary and the entire family that the machines upon which their wealth has been built have in fact been used without license. The revelation comes as a shock not so much for its legal implications as for the catastrophic breach of trust Mary feels has been committed by her husband, and she fears they will not be able to heal the rift between them without major sacrifices. Here, modern audiences may draw different conclusions from the one offered and presumably endorsed by the original authors in the 1950s.
The American War of Independence eventually makes itself felt in a shortage of raw materials that threatens to close down whole industries. The existential threat takes many forms, and in Shawcross angry workers are storming the factories intent on destroying the machines they blame for the loss of their independence, their cotton, and their work. For Seth, too, the emergency is real: if he cannot keep the Mules spinning and the looms weaving, not only will the workers who depend on him lose their jobs, but the Makepeace brand will cease to exist. Having spent vast sums on smuggled cotton, he knows he does not have the capital to start again from scratch: the mill must be saved at all costs. In a mad dash to Liverpool Seth hopes to hopes to catch up with the next ship from the Colonies before his rivals can lay their hands on the precious cargo.
Meanwhile, a heavily pregnant Mary appeals to the enraged villagers to put their faith and their trust in her husband: he will do whatever it takes to find cotton and keep the mill going. Husband and wife are reconciled over the humane treatment of the factory workers, on which they both agree, but they remain divided over what their common interests are, and the lengths to which Seth will go to protect what he considers to be his interests. Ultimately, the mill is saved without loss of life and the rioters are captured, but Mary dies in giving birth to a healthy baby boy. With the future of his son and that of his factory at stake, Seth has no time to grieve. He knows what he must do - what Mary would have wanted him to do: even before he goes to see his new-born son he orders the prisoners released. The rebellion now a thing of the past, it is the value of the former rioters as a reliable workforce on which the Makepeace mill and the Makepeace dynasty will depend.
After the initial marriage of money and talent, followed by the uneasy truce between opportunism and idealism, finally we have, in Seth, the synthesis of capitalism and compassion: the idealized principle of progress. In his uncompromising pursuit of that principle, Seth has an uncanny doppelganger whose fanatical obsession with all or nothing ultimately ends in tragedy. Unlike Pastor Brand, however, Seth is not a tragic figure. He is not reminded of his hubris and of his mortality in one final moment of self-reflection - no space is reserved for such precious introspection. But if Seth and Mary represent “history on a human scale,” the reverse is also true. Seth is being elevated to a larger-than-life principle that transcends the fate of any single human being. And yet it is the very humanity of the flesh-and-blood character that would have made his exploits accessible to millions - courtesy of his real-life doppelganger.
Reviews of the play were favourable and appear to have been born out by the viewing figures. The positive response warranted a repeat twelve months later, and loyal audiences rewarded with an extended version of Seth’s on-screen exploits in book form. Momentous historical events intertwine with the minutiae of mechanized spinning and weaving, but the resulting tapestry of life in turbulent times would be incomplete without the human element of personal triumph and tragedy – which we can experience, albeit vicariously, through the domestic struggles of the fictional protagonists. The Ruthless Destiny is thought to be one of the “lost” productions from the BBC’s early days. We have no record of any surviving copies, and no script to help us compare the televised version with the still widely circulating novel. In it, Seth Makepeace is described in such detail as to suggest his physical appearance, bearing, and behaviour were closely modelled on the actual performance, as indeed seems to be the case for the cover illustration of a ferocious Seth determined to defend his mill, and his future, by any means necessary.

I Saw It In A Movie One Time (ch 6) - Digging
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 3
Chapter 4
Chapter 5
Chapter 7
“You’ve gotta be kidding me,” Kai whispered to herself. One glance out the window and she knew— it was obvious. The Cullens got the wolves involved in the situation and now they were guarding her outside her store. She didn’t recall their faces from the movies, but the tattoos spoke loudly enough.
“I swear. They’re just trying to show off at this point,” she thought. Anyone in the real world who saw this would probably agree. One was in a gray tank and the other in a T-shirt with the sleeves cut off, exposing the mark on their upper arm.
Kai formulated a plan to get them away. Luckily, there was no one in the store and by the looks of the parking lot and the cars that drove by— or lack thereof— nobody would be coming in anytime soon. She pushed the door open with her two hands and looked up at the two of them who were a whole foot taller and two inches or more taller than her.
“Boys, if you aren’t planning on purchasing anything I’m gonna have to ask you to leave the storefront and our parking lot. Sorry,” she said, avoiding eye contact by looking past them or at the floor, then turned right on her heel back into the store before they could say anything to her. But she heard a “sorry” on her way inside.
Paul and Seth stared at her until she was inside, thinking the exact same thing— though Pauls’ expression gave it away too easy, “dude. She’s short,” he snickered.
Seth’s eyes moved from the entrance door to his pack mates’, “yeah say it louder I don’t think she heard you. Let’s go before she calls someone else to chase us away,” he advised his superior with a light push to his shoulder.
The two ran off into the woods and phased. Two hours had passed anyways and she happened to only catch them five minutes before they were to switch off with Embry and Jacob.
“She’s still there?” Embry asked through his thoughts
Seth let out a huff, “Yeah, but she saw us and told us we can’t stand outside the store,” he explained
“We’ll just stay in the woods in this form,” Jacob decided for himself and for Embry. With a nod, all four wolves went on their way.
Seth didn’t mind that this was the only thing Sam would let him do. Since he became a wolf, Sam would only allow him to stay home and study. No wolf duties. He remembered the girl they had to protect, and reminded himself to do a good job so Sam would possibly allow him to take on some more exciting wolf duties, All the while Kai’s face lingered in the back of his mind.
“Got a crush or something?” Paul teased Seth, nudging him a little bit.
“No! I’m just... reflecting. I wanna do good I mean— when’s Sam gonna let me do all the wolf stuff next?” Seth defended
Paul gave him nothing more than a huff in disbelief. It was normal for an 18 year old to have a crush but the whole world know how shy Seth could be
Kai almost felt bad for having to tell the two shapeshifters to leave, but she knew that in the movies, none of this happened. Her blood boiled in frustration at Edward who didn’t listen to her pleas. For the next hour she stood behind the counter, occasionally looking outside for any other suspicious activity that might involve the wolves. Other than that, she pretended to scan the store every once in a while— though it was pointless because there were usually no more than five to ten customers at a time.
The three-hour shift that seemed to stop the clock every time had finally ended. Kai walked urgently to her car leaving no time for conversation if anyone was going to try to stop her.
—
Kai managed to avoid them for the rest of the week, until Saturday. Her heart had been racing at the thought of Victoria coming around like Edward warned her. Still, she payed no mind to it and went to work anyway. She figured the wolves would be keeping watch anyway.
It was 1:30 p.m. and as soon as Kai opened the door to leave, with a few huffs of frustration because she forgot item after item, remembering each one as she was just about to leave. Finally, after checking and double checking for everything she opened the door. There stood Alice unexpectedly. Her heart stopped and she let out a yelp.
“I’m so sorry!” Alice apologized, her hands out to help her— only she didn’t know how so she could only watch as Kai recollected herself
Kai put a hand over her chest and looked up at Alice, clearly trying to get her heart back to normal, “Do you need something?”
“I need you to stay at home,” she said brightly, extending the “I” in her sentence.
“Yeah, not happening. I need to pay the electricity bill and 18 hours this week isn’t gonna cut it. So, if you’ll excuse me,” she said, trying to push past her. That’s when something clicked in Alice’s head.
“Do you know who I am?” She asked her, curious to see just how much this girl knew. This was their first meeting, after all, and it seemed Kai already had an idea that Alice’s appearance was related to Edward somehow.
“Uh... yeah you’re Christina,” Kai lied. Of course she knew who Alice was but she wasn’t actually planning on telling her. She’s not even supposed to be talking to these people.
Alice rolled her eyes, “I think you’re thinking of someone else,” she countered, “I’m Alice.”
“And I’mma be late for work. Excuse me,” Kai attempted to push past her once again.
“I called your boss and told him you were sick,” Alice said, trying to keep her home once more, “We really don’t want you to be in danger. We know Victoria’s coming and so do you,” she said, her tone switching to one of urgency.
“My boss is gonna be glad to see me,” she pushed with all of her force past alice, “not sick, and doing just fine,” she stalked to her car and drove quickly.
Alice sighed, “she’s stubborn,” she thought.
-
Victoria snarled upon the scent of Kai. It was a bitter taste to her that a small, meekly little human could do so much to infiltrate her mind. It drove her absolutely mad. The best part of the game to her was when people would ask, “who are you? What do you want?”. But when Kai whispered Victoria’s name— it was sickening to her.
Victoria crept through the woods just across the street where she caught sight of Kai.
“pity,” she thought.
Kai was beautiful with golden tan skin, raven black and tinted indigo hair, freckles adorned her face especially around her nose and underneath her eyes. Vampires were known to be beautiful, and Victoria felt almost envious of the life Kai carried through her irises.
She planned to make this quick. Use her inhuman speed to take Kai, drag her right back out into the woods then kill her for a meal. She took a step that unfortunately for her landed on a twig with a snap. Her eyes flicked to the left and instantly was met with a giant merciless claws of the shapeshifter. She took off running across the treaty line where the Cullens were waiting.
-
“Are you sure this is where you saw her?” Carlisle asked Alice.
“She probably would’ve been here by now if Kai stayed home,” Rosalie hissed. Everyone stood patiently, undoubtedly trusting Alice.
“She’s near,” Alice said.
“On your left!” She directed.
The chase was on. Carlisle and Jasper made a start for Victoria, each coming so close to catching her but she escaped every time. Even as she hopped over to the wolves’ territory, she was able to escape every time. Emmett risked it all to catch her by jumping off his land and into theirs, and was violently blocked by Paul. The tensions between the two sworn mortal enemies were high enough for Victoria to make a satisfying escape.
-
Kai pulled into the driveway after one hell of a shift. She shut her eyes and lolled her head back in furstration upon seeing Edward and Alice in front of her house, “If I see you outside of my house ever again, I’m calling the police. Or jumping off a bridge. Honestly, I don’t know but please,” she begged desperately, “just leave me alone!”
She just got back from an exhausting six-hour shift at work, her shitty manager had a bone to pick with her every move, and more than five irritated customers angry at her for just doing her job.
Alice felt sympathetic toward Kai. It was obvious how tired she was. Edward grimaced as well, hearing her thoughts reflecting on the events at work. But he had to do what he had to do.
“We can’t do that—” Edward began.
“Don’t!” She exclaimed, palms toward Edward to stop him, “Please don’t. I’m fine, see? Victoria didn’t get to me,”
“The wolves stopped her,” Alice explained.
Kai let out an exasperated sigh. They were getting involved in her life and she was in theirs. At this point, there was no coming back from it.
“Fine. What are you here for?” She asked, defeated. She unlocked the door to her house and the duo followed her in.
“I just—,” Edward stopped himself, collecting his thoughts, “We wanted to know you were okay,”
“Shouldn’t you be worried about Bella? Where is she anyway?” Kai shot back.
“You know Bella?” Alice asked, but it came out as more of a statement.
Kaileia cursed to herself and chose not to answer her. Dammit.
“You can clearly see that I’m okay,” she offered to Edward, “if that’s all you needed, I’m sure you know where the door is—”
“I’d like to know how you know everything,” Alice interjected with a small smile, “Its just— Edward said you knew about him being a vampire and how he reads minds. When I came to the door the other day, you acted like we’d met before. And you know about Bellas’ and Edwards’ relationship,” she explained with a light voice. Kai almost felt bad that she couldn’t tell them anything and took this as her cue to start yelling in her head so that Edward couldn’t read anything.
“I can’t tell you that,” she stated bluntly.
Alice ducked her head, still giving her effort into finding out, “can you tell us when or how you got here?”
Kai shook her head, “No.”
Alice sighed. She was starting to feel the defeat that Edward did.
Edward stood, “is there anything that you can tell us?” He asked her
“Only what I told you before, that talking to me any longer than you are right now could cost lives,” Kai explained imperatively, “I really think you guys should go,” she pleaded, desperation all across her face.
Alice sighed, “whatever you were trying to avoid— it’s here. It’s now. You can’t keep running from us I mean,” she shrugged, “I know you didn’t mean to, but you drew us in. I’m sure you knew the wolves and that’s why you kicked them out of the store, didn’t you?”
Kai nodded. In her head, she was debating on whether or not it would be good to tell them the truth. The pros and cons sorted themselves out in their heads.
“I kicked them out because they were soliciting,” she lied.
“It’s a public area,” Edward countered.
“ ‘Kay well they were annoying me,” she finished.
The three of them stayed silent. “You’re not gonna leave till you get whatever it is you want, are you?” Kai asked
“I’m not. I’m actually supposed to stand watch for you— you’re welcome,” she said with a smile.
Kai shook her head, eyes half-closed in annoyance, “I didn’t asked to be stalked.”
“You didn’t have to,” Edward smirked.
“You ever get tired of being a shithead?” Kai asked, half joking. She didn’t know what clicked, but some...(in)human contact that wasn’t her boss was refreshing in a way. After all, she avoided every single person with every single conversation since she woke up in Forks seven months ago.
Edward let out a small laugh, “I have too much time to ever be tired.”
Kai’s expression dropped, “you can’t be sure of that anymore.”
Edward and Alice looked to each other questionably. When they attempted to ask her to explain, she waved them off or chose not to answer. The two eventually gave up on questions and invited her to dinner instead, to which she rejected.
Alice was getting desperate, “Well it’s either you come to us tomorrow night, or we come to you,” she proposed, a smirk on her face upon seeing Kai’s visible defeat, “you choose.”
“Alice. You don’t understand what you’re doing,” she was begging them to stop their advances. It was worrying her how involved she’s become.
“Then help us to,” she replied
“I can’t.”
“Then we’ll have to help ourselves,” Alice said, “Will we see you tomorrow?”
Kai was beginning to feel discouraged. There was so much more at stake than Alice realized. Edward stayed silent for most of the conversation, trying to find loopholes in Kai’s mind that could give him some answers but— nothing. He drew in a sharp breath as her thoughts seemed to cease to exist. There was nothing. Edward couldn’t hear anything from her.
“What was that?” he asked Kai, still in shock
“What was what?” She asked him
He looked up at her, his eyes wide, “I can’t hear your thoughts, only Alices’”
Kai’s eyes widened. Things were starting to change just through the conversation they were having. She shook her head fearfully, “You two really need to go. It’s getting dangerous.”
“I’ll be here to pick you up tomorrow at 7. Don’t be late,” Alice said. With that, the two left her house and Kai stood alone in her kitchen.
Did that change something? Edward can’t hear her thoughts. What’s next? The wolves don’t shift? Alice doesn’t see the future? Holy shit.
She continued to stand in the kitchen, cup of water in hand. She did nothing, just stared. Her thoughts ran faster than they ever had in her life and a tear rolled down her cheek out of fear. Things were changing and she couldn’t do anything to stop it.
-
Edward and Alice went home puzzled, “May— maybe we shouldn’t be involved,” Edward proposed.
“What do you mean?” Alice asked.
“She keeps on emphasizing that it could mean life and death if we keep talking to her and I mean—” he shook his head in disbelief, “It’s proven. I stopped hearing her thoughts.”

The Orville (some spoilers for the most recent episode)
I've been a huge fan of Star trek since I was a kid, I've seen every one. I loved Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate SG-1, and Atlantis (watched universe, wasn't a huge fan but I watched it, gdi).
And this show is just wonderful. It's wonderful, knowing all I know about the space faring sci fi shows that came before it.
When I started watching it, I had a feeling that it wouldn't be a mean parody.
See, i watch the show with my friend Liz and she was initially leery of it because she's not a fan of Seth McFarlane and she thought oh he's just going to make fart jokes in space and mock TNG and all of the sci fi we grew up with as kids.
She sort of thought it'd be like...the disaster movie or some silly scary movie type schtick where Seth is the lazy and irresponsible captain of a cargo ship that does drugs and has sex with loose women, you know.
A stoner's idea of hilarious subversive comedy.
But I told her to give it a chance because I knew Seth McFarlane was a fan of Star trek, and I just knew, or maybe hoped, that the Orville would be a light hearted, but affectionate parody of Star trek.
It turned out to be much more than a parody. If anything, it's more of a tribute to star trek, if not simply another version of it.
It feels so much like star trek that I'm addicted to it. And she loves it too. She wasn't sure about it at first, but as the series progressed and we started to see that it was taking itself seriously, but not too seriously, she really got into it.
Now we both love it.
The optimistic view of the future, the believably goofy and lovable cast that has both comedic timing and the capacity for dramatic acting, the crew's relationships with one another that feel an awful lot like TNG's. All of this stuff is addicting to me, because all of those sci fi shows I talked about before are older shows. They're sci fi that was more optimistic, for the most part, and weren't quite as dark and edgy (with the exception of BSG). The Orville reminds me of all those more light hearted sci fi shows.
And you know what, I find a lot of the episodes very predictable, but it doesn't stop me from having an absolute blast while watching them?
I've seen so much sci fi that YES, I do think that the Krill woman who captures Captain Mercer is going to end up getting marooned on a planet with him where they, mortal enemies who have lied and hurt one another, are going to have to cooperate to survive.
Yes, I did guess that Rob Lowe's character was making everyone horny. I'm not sure on this but I'm pretty sure every star trek has at least one episode where something is making everyone horny with some pheromone induced sex pollen.
Yes, I did recognize Bortus' episode in court as being that Sci Fi episode where humans try to explain their values to an alien culture and race radically different from their own, thus revealing the creators' beliefs in how humanity "should be."
But did that make those episodes any less enjoyable?
No.
I loved them.
I knew what was happening and I smiled and went along because it felt so classic sci fi, but with refreshing twists in dialogue, with interesting characters, who'd make self aware referential humor. Who'd also take the situations they were in seriously. And who make serious attempts at social commentary too.
And I'm sorry for the word vomit, it's just that I finally got caught up with the Orville and saw the new episode, identity?
I mean holy crap that was amazing.
(Spoilers for identity part 1)
I knew from the begining as Isaac shut down, oh they're going to Kaylon where they will most likely be weirded out by Kaylon culture.
I predicted that they'd find out that the Kaylon were secretly organic.
Boy was I wrong.
As the episode went on, I started to guess that the Kaylon were probably going to be evil in some way.
I thought, and Liz did too, that they probably feed off of organic life forms and will possibly try to kill the Orville's crew.
I was wrong again.
And when the actual reveal came, I thought oh my.
Not a concept I've NEVER heard before.
Kind of like the Borg, kind of like the replicators from Stargate, even kind of like the machines from the matrix, kind of like skynet, but does that make it any less fun and exciting?
Not at all. I actually yelled a little with excitement when I saw the Kaylon Rollie pollie ships rising into the sky.
They just looked so cool and it was like, seeing O'ri ships, or Go'auld ships attacking earth, or a Borg cube entering Federation space or the Cylon fleets closing in on Battlestar Galactica, or like, insert other nerdy shit here.
It just made me so happy to see because this show can go from having an entire episode dedicated to Bortus' porn addiction to an episode about a racist genocidal robot species that's set on destroying other life forms and taking over their planets because their own planet has reached its limit on RAM.
I just love that range. I love the casual episodes, and I love the surprisingly serious and thoughtful ones.
I just love the series in general and I've never posted on this subreddit before, so I'm sorry if this is something people talk about all the time, I just really wanted to express some of my love for not just the Orville but sci fi in general.

chapter 9 - presumed dead
Summary: Aren stands across from Kei. Neither of them have aged a day. Kei should be dead.
Read on: Ao3
Aren walks through the streets of Levimare, the streets bustling with activity. No one pays much attention to him, focusing intently on their day-to-day tasks. It’s strange, being back here. A hundred years have passed since he last set foot in the city. It’s unchanging and completely different at the same time.
He’s the only thing here that hasn’t changed and won’t ever change. He’s a constant, drifting through a time he should no longer be in.
It’s painful, living long after he should be. Everyone he knows, both those he loves and he hates, are gone. Even Blaze, who seemed as unchanging as he was, died. Blaze, who took him in, who he’d do anything, still couldn’t be saved from the one constant in everyone’s life. It wasn’t with lack of trying. Once Aren realized that he wasn’t as mortal as those around him, beyond what he already knew, he devoted Blaze’s entire lifetime to figuring out a way to bypass human mortality.
He never came close to success.
It seems that whatever condition possesses him, it isn’t replicable. Laverne told him this over and over again but he was never inclined to believe it. She was once immortal but she too succumbed to death. If she didn't, Aren wouldn’t have lived long enough to meet Blaze.
If anything, that is the only good thing about Aren’s life.
Aren stops in the center of the street, much to the annoyance of those around him. He breathes in deeply, letting the magic settle in his lungs. It’s different than it was last he was here, the feeling ever-so-slightly different. He’ll have to experiment with this. Researchers have been charting the change in magic over the years, but you can only do so much if you can’t sense the changes yourself.
He sighs, shaking his head and continuing on with a brisk pace. It’s moments like these, when he feels too antsy to sit still, he’s reminded that Paris isn’t alive anymore. Even if he wasn’t killed by Theodore, the irony of that isn’t lost to Aren, he would’ve succumbed to his age by now. If someone like Blaze wasn’t immune, Paris wouldn’t have been either. He’s fortunately as mortal as the rest of them.
While Aren doesn’t regret leaving Theora, he does regret not seeing Paris fall. While Paris is Aren’s creator, Aren does not love him. He doesn't hate him either and the emotion that twists in his chest is some strange form of ambivalence. It’s a shame that Aren wasn’t the one to end Paris himself.
That is part of the reason why Aren put off coming to Theora for so long. If there was an off chance that Aren saw Paris, he didn’t know what he’d do. And he doubts that Laverne would’ve stopped him.
Not that he blames her, Paris hurt her in a way that Aren couldn’t imagine. He at least tries to give her more freedom than she can have.
The city streets give way to quiet country roads. Aren walks alongside them, joined occasionally by a passing car. It’s quiet here in a way that makes magic hum in his ear. He breathes in the earthy scent of the ground. It’s a peaceful place. The perfect place to lay his brothers (can he call them that? Does he even have the right to?) to rest.
A place he would like to rest, if the time were ever to come.
The graveyard unfurls beside the road, rows upon rows of headstones set in rows. Aren steps off the road, remembering the directions he was given by the clerk when he asked.
When he first came here, it was with the intention of seeing Seth, Everly, and Theodore again, alive. It was after Blaze passed and he was left with a Guild of faces he doesn’t recognize. He didn’t consider that they too were around Blaze’s age and wouldn’t be here to meet him.
He thought of them as the age when he left, forever left suspended in as children in his memories. He should’ve known that they’ve long since grown up. Even if he hasn’t.
He stops in front of two graves and crouches. Seth and Theodore’s names are carved on the surface and dried flowers are left on the ground. He visited Everly earlier, buried with his family in the royal grave. It’s kind that they buried them together.
He never understood the purpose. There is little evidence that anyone, beyond a select few people, persists as ghosts. But Aren understands the sentiment. There is nothing you can do once someone is gone, so the smallest of gestures can seem monumental.
Aren doesn’t say anything to Seth and Theodore, even if there’s an infinitesimally small chance that they could hear him. He doesn’t even know if they even liked him. Or if they remembered him at all.
In the end, it’s easier for him to say nothing at all.
“Aren.” Laverne’s voice startles him. She shouldn’t be back by now, having agreed to explore the city while Aren was doing this. “There’s someone here.”
Aren stands slowly, letting their magic signature settle over him. It’s achingly familiar. He turns and freezes.
Standing there is Kei, exactly how Aren remembers him. He’s still 19, still a child. Aren lashes out with his magic, waiting for it to cut through the hallucination. It intertwined with the other magic signature and Aren flinches.
Kei looks at him, wide-eyed and skin pale. “Andreas?”
Aren hasn’t heard that name in decades, not since he finally convinced Laverne to call him by this name. “Kei?” Aren’s voice is weak, fragile even.
“Aren, who’s this?” Laverne hovers beside Aren, her eyes narrowing and her magic flickering uneasily.
Aren ignores her. He takes a hesitant step forward. Kei looks between Aren and the headstones beside him. He swallows hard, his hands shaking at his side. Aren takes another step.
Kei whips around and starts sprinting in the opposite direction. Aren follows him, jumping over headstones when Kei cuts through them. His lungs burn from the exertion and the heart in his chest hammers against his ribs.
“What are you doing?” Laverne follows him, her figure flickering in response to the magic bleeding into the air. “Aren?!” A concerned note rises in her voice.
Aren can understand why she’s concerned. He’s never been one to act like this, without thought or consideration. But he can’t stop. “It’s my brother.” Aren keeps his voice low, not wanting to frighten Kei more by seemingly talking to himself. “My true one. He’s the only one who I share my origins with.”
Laverne’s eyes widen but she doesn’t question Aren further.
Slowly, Aren starts to catch up with Kei. Aren’s always been the worst of the two, with weaker magic and a more fragile constitution. It was a byproduct of being Paris’s first success. He wasn’t nearly as stable as Kei was, his own body fighting against the magic that resides within him. That is, until he was given Laverne’s heart.
He tackles Kei to the ground, pressing hard against his shoulder. Aren heaves in air, his breathing short and stilted. Kei isn’t faring much better, sweat running down the side of his face.
Aren eventually catches his breath. The words come much easier now. “Why did you run?”
Kei looks away, digging his fingers into the grass. “I didn’t think you were real. I--” He draws in a shaky breath. “I didn’t think you were real,” he repeats, as if saying the words again will change that.
“But I am.” Aren tightens his grip on Kei’s shoulders, truly feeling his magic hum beneath his hands. “We both are.”
Kei nods, slow and hesitant. He stops struggling against Aren’s grip and Aren releases him, leaning back so he can slip out. Kei sits up, wiping the dirt from his hands against his pants. “How are you here? Paris said--”
“Paris certainly said a lot of things that aren’t necessarily true, didn't he.” Aren’s voice is cold and clipped. He can’t ignore how Paris said Kei was dead. “But he’s dead now. We don’t have to believe a single word he said.”
“But it doesn't change that you’re still here.” Kei looks him over again, disbelief clear in his expression. “How? I thought I was the only one.”
“Only one of what?” Aren asks, distinctly aware of Laverne hovering a few feet away. They certainly aren’t the only two of whatever you want to call them. Laverne referred to them as Immortals, which is certainly fitting.
“Someone who couldn’t die.” Kei wraps his hands together in his lap, tightening his grip to the point his knuckles whiten.
Aren takes Kei’s hands in his, trying to stop the trembling. “We aren’t the only ones. I haven’t found them yet, but I’m certain there are people out there. Just like us.” After all, Laverne described how each era is defined by those who cannot die. If they wait long enough, they will find them.
Kei loosens his grip, his eyes wide. “They are?”
“Statistically, there has to be. No matter how you want to think about it, our case isn’t unique.” Aren tries to give him a smile, something he hasn’t been able to do since Blaze died.
“How?” A desperate, hopeful note bleeds into Kei’s voice. He was always the more optimistic one of the two. “How could you possibly find them?”
“I don’t know yet, but I will.” Aren has only failed once. He’s confident that this won’t be another one. He has all the time in the world. “Trust me.”
Kei nods, stronger and more definite this time. The smile tugging at Aren’s lips softens to something far more natural. This was what he was looking for, all those years ago; before he even considered that he’d outlive the few who come to care for him. To finally be able to hold Kei once more.

The Lord of the Kingdom
By. Pastor. Pablo Puja Chile
💥
It is a great blessing to be in contact with you, through this Social Network, trusting that our good God will be speaking to our lives and hearts. This Message will be released for America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania. Thank God for this great door of blessing!
We are going to pray to the most important Name in the entire Universe:
Oh Lord Jesus!
We recognize that Your name is above every Name and that only in Your Name thereis salvation.
Bless us on this day. Speak to our spirit. We need You.
May Your Word penetrate our hearts and bear fruit that is pleasant to You
Oh Lord Jesus!
Amen!
¶ The title of today's Message is: The Lord of the Kingdom. The Lord of the Kingdom.
We're going to go to God's Word, and we're going to look up Revelation 17:14.
Look on your computer, tablet, cell phone, or printed Bible for chapter 17 of the last book, and we will read verse 14.
Thus says the Word of God: “These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.”
As we can see, in recent times there is talk of the existence of a King who is superior to any other human authority. And this King is the Lord Jesus.
But why is he considered the ultimate King? When we go to the first book of the Bible, we find that God gives authority to human beings over all the Earth.
• In Genesis 1: 26-28, we read:
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
From the beginning, God had given the lordship of the Earth to man and woman. They were to rule the planet as representatives of the highest authority in Heaven. Under the principle that authority has the power to place a name, God names man. Then this one, names all the animals on Earth. No one else had a part in creating the human being. No one else had a part in completing the work of creation on Earth. No one else had a voice with such creative power. No one. Not in Heaven, not on Earth, not under the Earth. But, something very tragic was going to happen in the Garden of Eden. Someone who had authority in the past, but had rebelled against God, was going to introduce disobedience into this new creation. Just as Satan was the thief, the liar, and the murderer, he was going to introduce sin into this innocent creation.
After the fall of man and woman, we go to chapter 4 of Genesis, where we find how human civilization begins to form without taking God into account and, especially, how it begins to manufacture things to replace everything that it previously had in communion with the Lord and His presence.
Seth, the son of Adam, has a son, whose name is Enos. That name means weak, fragile, mortal, and refers to the feeling that men begin to experience, being far from God. Read: “And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord" (Genesis 4:26).
The great need that men had began to show is to call upon the Name of the Lord.
Oh my God, I need You!
O Lord Jehovah, come help me!
O Most High God, hear my prayer!
You can find the great characters of the Old Testament who called on the Name of the Lord "out of necessity." The patriarch Abraham did it, when he built altars. King David wrote Psalms where he frequently called on the Name of the only God who could save him. When we go to the New Testament, the Name that is revealed to us is the Name of Jesus. In this regard, the apostle Peter declares: “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
Only in the Name of Jesus do we find salvation. This is an absolute statement! Today, when we find ourselves in the so-called "dialogue between religions" and "tolerance" reigns, we must not forget this Manifesto: THERE IS NO ANOTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN ...
• That Name is so sublime that the Apostle Paul declares:
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2: 9-11).
• Before becoming a Christian, Saul persecuted all who called on that Name. Ananias reminds Jesus of this:
13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:
14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. (Acts 9: 13-14)
• Saul could not find to persecute Christians for the signs on their temples. At that time, the first believers met in their homes to have fellowship with one another, and only in the Temple in Jerusalem to go to pray and preach the Gospel of salvation in Christ. How was he to identify the believers in Damascus? Because they called on the Name of the Lord Jesus!
• What is the promise for all who call on the Name of the Lord?
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10: 11-13).
That is the promise of salvation that the apostle Paul knew and that he himself preached everywhere.
If you call on the Name of the Lord, He promises you salvation. But, it is not only salvation from eternal damnation. If you search the entire Bible, you will find that the Old and New Testament saints called on the Lord out of necessity, in the face of whatever situation they faced.
If you are paying attention to this message, call on the Name of the Lord right now:
Oh Lord Jesus!
Oh Lord Jesus!
Oh Lord Jesus! I recognize that only in You I have salvation. I acknowledge that You died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Get into my spirit. Take control and rule my life.
Oh Lord Jesus! Amen!
If you are already a Christian, keep calling on the precious Name of Jesus:
Oh Lord Jesus!
Oh Lord Jesus! I need you! I ask you to help me in this need …………….
Without You, I am nothing. Without You, I can do nothing.
Oh Lord Jesus! Amen!
But for those who have believed for salvation and have called on the Name of the Lord, there are even more promises.
• If you read the conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus, you will find that everyone who is born again:
1. Will see the Kingdom of God; and,
2. Is going to enter the Kingdom of God.
(John 3: 3,5)
What a great promise we have in the Lord! See and enter the Kingdom of God!
But are you content just to see and enter the Kingdom of God?
Well, not me.
To the apostle Paul, the Lord revealed crowns.
To the apostle John, the Lord revealed thrones.
Who wears crowns? Who sit on thrones? The Kings!
What the Word of God is showing us is that once you have called on the Name of the Lord and believed the Gospel, there are crowns and thrones ready for you.
But who can get those crowns and thrones? Only overcoming Christians!
• This expression appears several times in the Letters to the 7 Churches of Revelation.
Read with me:
26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
28 And I will give him the morning star.
(Revelation 2: 26-28).
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
(Revelation 3: 21-22)
• With more time, read chapter 7 of the book of Daniel, from verses 21 to 27, and you will see that the saints of God are promised to reign together with the Supreme King.
In Revelation 20, it speaks of the thrones that the saints receive, whose rule will be 1000 years.
In Revelation 22, the Kingdom is also promised to the saints in New Jerusalem.
Hallelujah! The Kingdom is being revealed to believers.
Call on the Name of the Lord. But, you have to grow in Life, and become an overcoming Christian, to reign with Christ.
Jesus is the Lord of the Kingdom, and He invites us to rule together with Him for 1000 years, and then for eternity.
Hallelujah!
God bless you and thanks for the opportunity to preach the Word of God!
