 After nearly four years since their last tour and more than five years since their last album, U2 is finally back. Last fall kicked off what’s been a bit of a resurgence of U2 back in the mainstream spotlight after Bono released his memoir, Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story, and subsequently embarked on a solo tour of sorts (think Springsteen on Broadway meets U2’s ‘INNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour)…

Steph woke up with her girlfriend draped all over her. She had never slept - actually slept- in the same bed with anyone until Harper, so the sensation of finding another body near her was very new to her and more pleasant than she would have expected. 

Feeling romantic, she kissed her girlfriend’s collarbone. Harper was a light sleeper - she didn’t know if it was due to her time on the run or she had always been like this - but the brunette flinched awake. 

“Sorry, didn’t mean to startle you,” she whispered sheepishly.

A groan was the only response. Harper wasn’t a morning person at all, so Stephanie doubted she even heard her. But she did turn to look at the blonde, touching her collarbone gingerly, looking confused:

“Did you … ?”

Steph was sure she was blushing as red as a tomato. There was something very intimate about mornings, when the sun was just starting to rise and all the vulnerabilities that have been protected by the darkness of the night were now on display.

“Yeah, sorry, I thought it might be romantic,” she grimaced at how silly it sounded out loud. “Sorry, I’m not gonna do it again, I promise. I don’t want to-”

Her ramblings were cut off by a chaste kiss on her lips.

“I want you to do it again.” Harper assured her. “I want to wake up with my girlfriend cuddling me, kissing me just cause she feels like it. And -” she added while she leaned down to whisper in Harper’s ear- “I want to wake you up the same way.” 

She ended the sentence with a kiss on Steph’s neck, making a tiny moan escape her lips. Now she was blushing for a whole other reason. It was funny how Harper could get these reactions out of her despite how tame morning cuddling was. She wanted nothing more than to pull her closer and freeze them both in this moment. But they had stuff to do.

“I would love nothing more than to stay like this forever, but I still have school you know?”

“Ugh, can’t you graduate already?”

“I need to go to school in order to graduate,” Steph cuckold. “Don’t worry, I only have less than two months before it’s over,” she reassured the brunette, pressing another kiss to her collarbone.

“Yeah, and then you go to MIT. That’s even worse.”

It took all of Steph’s power not to wince  or correct her. She really couldn’t have this discussion now.

Olay hot take: Barbie was the non-binary representation I needed

Spoilers for Barbie:

Now obviously Barbie herself isn’t non-binary but I was watching the movie and I was trying to parse why I related so much to Barbie, I mean she’s Stereotypical Barbie, she’s a everything a woman wants to be.

And then it hit me at the end, Barbie is desperately trying to find out where she fits in. Does she fit into the women-run Barbieland with its high femininity or does she fit in to the human-world with is male run leadership and overbearing masculinity.

And she realizes at the end that she’s a bit of both. She’s both Barbie the doll and Barbara the human. And it felt so very relatable. She’s both human and doll, and her also neither. It’s obviously not an exact parallel but god it hit me

The water bottles lurk ominously in the seat beside you. Neither of you have actually drank any yet, and you’re starting to wonder if the whole thing is just some weird stunt Naomi’s decided to pull. If you’ll both go home, the bottles still full, and she’ll dump them both down the sink as soon as you leave. If you’ll both come to school on Monday and act like nothing’s happened and it’ll just be added to the list of Things We Don’t Talk About, along with the time Naomi skipped school for half a day and Valentine’s Day in seventh grade, when Chatri asked you out and you were too nervous to even squeak out a no so Naomi had to write a note for you and deliver it to him the next day.

Now if DT gives me more delicious fuel much of it is subject to change, but tentatively as of now they 'hooked up' post-EW. I headcanon in several months after Ultima Thule and before the void plot starts up, which Ahru spent mostly recovering, checking in on friends and family post-Final Days, doing allied quests, or moping about aimlessly not knowing what to do with herself.

She didn't take the Scion break-up very well (though she keeps this to herself and she understands why they did it). Somewhere in that funk, her and Erenville cross paths, and he invites her along on some rather simple work with him, and a gradual friendly flirtation grows that leads to some... benefits. Bunnyfits.

As of now it's all fairly casual and straightforward, with the potential complications/growth waiting primarily for DT developments. There is also a semi-secret tentative oopsie baby subplot floating around in my head (but that's another 'we'll see how Dawntrail plays out'.) Look how cute tho.

Fantastic chapter like always and absolutely adorable.

I love how you expand so much on the characters even the dead ones in this fic in a way that makes them so present in the narrative. The way this makes Frank just completely absorbed by his family constantly while still building them as real people independent to him is great. Just the little details about Maria this chapter and how they relate to Matt is absolutely fantastic

The situation between Peter and Frank needed to blow up spectacularly before getting resolved I should have known that something would actually blow up.

The way you showed the Spidey sense in action through Franks pov was really good it's my favorite Spidey power and really fun to see in action.

Poor Peter though. I hope that once the situation gets resolved he can have a good cry about everything ever.

Also I really want Tony to get punched in the face. Just a small punch! Just once! But Jesus Christ the way he handled this situation has been so bad for Peter I am so angry at him. I know he's dealing with something behind the scenes bit still he needs to think about the impact this all has on Peter it's so bleak and isolating

i simply love explosions and add them in to everything i can. they're the spice of life. do not have the police investigate me i am so so normal about fire

Maria Castle is alive in my head and I love her. the version that lives in my head simply loves Matt. He's the dumbass little brother she's always wanted. He enchants her with his poor decision making and emotional unavailability. When he comes over she insists on throwing herself in his arms and he twirls her around because it annoys frank and they're inherently both assholes. The Maria in my head will never be showcased unless i end up pushing my Castle Family Agenda in earnest, but I will reference her as she exists in my head in works where she's still dead. I love her your honor.

The reaction to tony in kintsugi continues to be hilarious to me because kintsugi partially exists because I didn't see this reaction post-CW. Like the reaction I saw was mostly hardcore Iron Dad and i just didn't really see or hear a lot of commentary about how he handled the time between CW and Homecoming. And in kintsugi I changed literally nothing about how Tony treated Peter in that time and people are soooo mad at him. It's kind of funny
