lucky for you, i've been full of that good ol brainrot As Well! thoughts! feelings! ideas! i got em!

so since we're already on the subject of the Crash Arc, allow me to expand on it for a moment before i get to Sally Thinkings! if you've read the snippet, you may have noticed the extent of Wally's injuries was not listed yet. well! he got messed up with a capital F! since it's fiction and i'm god in this scenario, i'm veering slightly away from realistic damage, immediate & lasting. bc lets be real. if i stuck to "this is as realistic as i can make it", then Wally would be aaaaaabsolutely fucked. it was a bad crash in a very unsafe vehicle at high speeds. like - this is what happened. a drunk driver hit Home going 70 down the freeway. swerve, fishtail, tumble down a (small, shallow, really its more like a glorified ditch) ravine with trees and rocks and shit on it. absolute miracle that Wally didn't die in the crash, let alone during the solid half hour (slightly longer) he was trapped in Home before someone noticed the crash site and called emergency personnel. Wally "hanging up" on Barnaby was actually the impact jarring him so he slipped and hit the end call button. but yeah without going into technicalities and detail, Wally has some lasting damage in his dominant hand. It takes extensive physical therapy for him to be able to paint/draw again at the same level he had been at. the hematoma hadn't done a lot of brain damage that wouldn't resolve itself with time. in my mind, when Wally wakes up in the hospital, for a few days he's very confused and his memory is shot. he'll wake up, interact, then go to sleep, but when he wakes up again its like waking up for the first time again. he just can't retain memories for a bit. he's got some severe brain fog. his mood is also kinda fucked with - he's uncharacteristically irritable with low patience, etc. these are all things that clear up with time, but in my mind Wally has chronic migraines going forward. bad ones! and there are days where it's harder fr him to concentrate. and yk. a teeny bit of chronic pain where his shin bone was pinned back together and where his hand was essentially crushed. but other than that he's fine going forward! good days and bad days!

but enough about that! You Want To Hear About Sally!

i imagine that she becomes quite successful in the theater industry. i'm not too familiar with it myself, so i'm gonna be uh. Vague about it? but she starts her own theater troupe - it's a bit of a commute from home base to the town she works in, where the theater is located in, but she makes it work! of the group, she's probably away more than any of them. working on shows, traveling to work on other ones - i like to think she's been on Broadway! she probably has had opportunities to do tv/movie acting, but idk... i feel like Sally would be like "nah. live shows or nothing". maybe at some point she takes up voice acting gigs, as long as she can do them from home. she probably has her own little room-turned-VA-studio thing. idk how that works either! it seems right! but yes Howdy's store's automated messages and advertisements are in Sally's voice. she's probably picked up a temporarily modeling gig here and there.

so Sally is very very busy. Poppy is supportive. everyone is, and they all love to help out when they can - and reel Sally in when the "stardom" starts to get to her head. they do their best to acclimate to occasionally getting jumpscared by her voice in a grocery store or in. idk. fashion shoots. victoria's secret billboards. that last one was a joke! maybe. i think she would.

i also like to imagine Sally like... getting some sort of award and then spending a solid five minutes naming her friends, thanking them with specificity, and then plugging their own stuff. they probably have a rotation for who accompanies her as her plus one for events and parties she may or may not be invited to. she's not like... a Big celebrity but! she's Known and Liked! she has Connections! i like to imagine her and Wally looking dapper as fuck at a Venue...

so the friend group typically stays together, with Sally going off to do her Things the most. she makes sure to schedule time to be with her friends and girlfriend/wife/Poppy between work and gigs and etc. she somehow finds a balance with Ease. or apparent ease... someone get this girl a vacation...

smth smth i get it. the niwa family mansion's basement is supposed to represent hell. all the artworks dark has stolen over the centuries are collected down there, both docile and dangerous alike. but knowing its aaaaaabsolutely massive and stretches on for literally 2000 yrs' worth of artworks is insane. don't go into the basement. not just because it's dangerous or anything but it's multiple layers and so many floors you could get lost and die of starvation in there.

Wow well thank you for the long time support! I think the best way I can explain this is I’ve always been this way, I was introduced to alternative fashion and music when I was a kid and was raised around it. I had a point in my life where I started to suppress my interests to please the people I had around me at the time because I was faced with judgement. When I cut out those people and started to surround myself with people that had common interests as me, I felt more comfortable expressing myself and sharing my interests more openly.

I still make playlists regularly, my Spotify @is the same as here, and I have quite a few public lists of varying genres if you want to check them out!

Hi! Have you read the dunmeshi manga? If yes, where would you recommend someone start reading after watching the show? Is there a significant difference or could one pick up, say, at the end of the dragon episode/chapter ans start reading?

I devoured it in 24 hours back in September it's a masterpiece. I wouldn't say there's that much of a difference except maybe in the way they bring up the world building around the dungeon, I would aaaaaabsolutely recommend you read it entirely just because it's so fucking good

I need to be up front here, Lee Dong Wook has had my heart in his hands since Tale of the Nine Tailed, but if I ever doubted he could play an absolute dumpster fire of a character Bad and Crazy has put those thoughts to rest. I love him I love him I love him. Give him every part in every tv show ever, I'm here for it.

THE PLOT:

What if an anti-corruption officer on the cusp of becoming a Bad Cop--through sheer laziness and appreciation of the finer things in life *cough* bribes *cough*--started getting his ass regularly handed to him by his own subconscious a Strange(ly Hot) Figure In A Motorcycle Jacket until he straightened the fuck up??

My criteria:

Is it gay?: 1000/10. Highlights include: pining when the other isn't around, forced proximity while removing clothes, ~INTRICATE RITUALS~~ and more! Bodyswap/shared body adventures! Also plenty of material for OT3, though honestly our lady love interest could do better. <33

Women: Badass, AUGH HIS MOM!!!, and a truly creepy/complex evil Russian! The women in this show vary and have their own motivations and it shouldn't be such a low bar and yet!! Holy fuck, his mom!

Found Family: A+++++++ have I mentioned his MOM who ADOPTED this BLOOD COVERED TEENAGER no questions asked?? She is ride or die for her boys even when they are astoundingly stupid!!

Blorbos: Cinnamon Role!! Cheap Quack "Psychiatrist"! Ensemble cop figures including his Boss! Desperate Baby Lawyer and his Shaman Mother! DELIGHTFUL

Rewatchability: Oh A B S O L U T E L Y, aaaaaabsolutely, and because this is only 12 eps I suspect I will rewatch it again and again (it's on Netflix! So handy!)

Additional notes: While most of the time the violence is superhero levels of "fun/funny," sometimes it is not. There are flashbacks to childhood trauma/abuse and an entire plot line about abuse via mental health/gaslighting from a Big Bad.

But yeah. As far as this showing being my jam?

here's a rant bc I just finished DMing this game and it throws me into a giggling rage to see people's takes on it

"the npcs aren't very fleshed out" Hi, who do you think are the main characters of the story???? it is your job as DM to make the PLAYER CHARACTERS feel like they are the most important adventurers. there's literally a blurb in LoX about how npcs are supposed to be silly supporting characters. trust me, there is enough information about all of them to give you a character sketch to take and run with. literally just read their blurbs and interactions, its all there. have you ever played in a campaign with npcs who kill steal and who the DM clearly liked more than the PCs? bc I have. when a DM treats their NPCs as equal to the PCs it sucks 100% again, it's your job as DM to create and manage NPCs as SIDE CHARACTERS

"the ending is bad it makes people choose between two impossible options!" are you twelve? have you never heard of a moral dilemma?? if you think the xaryxians are redeemable then you failed as a DM to make them evil and despicable enough. newsflash you don't need to take thermal energy from a planet with people on it. literally all planets have thermal energy. the xaryxians chose and will continue to choose to take life away from hundreds of planets. their society is already dead, why do you think vampirates are a big part of this campaign? parallel to the xaryxians, whose star died eons ago that they are supporting through, idk, killing hundreds of planets with people on it just for funsies! they are suuuuper evil! sure maybe evacuate all the "good xaryxians" how do you think that's gonna go down??? all of their solar dragons just gonna stand by??? again it's called a moral dilemma yes both options suck but if you did your job then PCs should know what to do. there's literally even a bunch of NPC opinions on the matter you can use to explain the moral situation and guide your players to a carefully thought out choice.

people give spelljammer and LoX a lot of undeserved shit. I just finished running from Academy to Xaryxis finale, and it was the most fun I have ever had, even more than curse of strahd. the battles are insane.

LoX is a campaign that encourages PCs to act as only they can - highly skilled combatants. when you build your PC, the majority of the skills you are putting on the sheet are related to their ability to fight.

LoX asks you to put those abilities to use, and fight many difficult, up to date, monsters with no rest. it's the first time I've felt like monsters are created with how modern players min max and multiclass to perfection in mind.

The NPCs are the silliest little freaks I've ever seen and, as a theatrical, rule of cool, comedy combat DM, I had an aaaaaabsolute blast, and my players will not stop talking about how much they loved that campaign.

so if you think LoX is dumb, maybe read the book again but this time! read it as a space opera comedy!!!!!! bc it is supposed to be dumb!! I'm begging you to lighten up. as a DM you are a story conduit. and your players are supposed to have fun.

I think Fizz was like that after a few months with Ozzie. Things were fine so he didn’t understand why he was felt like he was breaking down both physically and mentally and couldn’t keep ignoring and hiding his problems from Ozzie like he used to be able to
