hi pluto i’m here to ask if u have any isat headcanons. about anybody! hope u have a good sunday :))
HAPPY SUNDAY VIA can i call you via. hello
ive mentioned my tattoo hcs before but im gonna expand on them as best i can rn because i think about it occasionally (i am making a lot of this up. right now! for you!)
ok so odile has a lower back tattoo she got in her 20s and i feel very strongly about this one 1. because i think its funny 2. because it makes her 10x cooler. the other day in my moots disc we talked about the idea of odile having a past polycule that she broke off from and so ive adopted that idea and decided the tattoo is a matching one. she does not regret it at all and is still (somewhat) in touch with her ex’s. siffrin was the first person she told about this, drunkenly btw, and for months afterwards he couldnt remember if it was Actually Real or just something his brain made up (and they were too scared to ask lol)
siffrin has star tattoos on his back and shoulders! i was considering giving him sleeves but i changed my mind,, he got them while he was still travelling on his own. possibly theres a region that is more well known for tattooing (havent decided what this would be though)! he was interested from a ‘learning about new culture’ perspective, also just because Why Not. he chose to get stars because it felt right. he somewhat regrets it. (maybe, post canon and later on their journey, he would try out something else. different designs. things inspired by his family! or things he wants to remember)
isabeau has no tattoos. not from not wanting them, but from just never really having the interest. UNTIL travelling with the party. until staying up late with sif in their shared tent and finding out that, on his travels, he learned how to (very basically) give people tattoos. and begs him for one. its like 2am and neither of them are thinking clearly so they agree. they ‘borrow’ odiles ink pot she uses for writing, a sewing needle that isa happens to have on hand, aaaand it. goes very poorly. as youd imagine. he is lucky to have the long sleeves to cover it up. whatever design theyd been going for was absolutely not achieved. but! he cherishes the memories regardless. (incredibly, they would try this twice. the second time would be after bonnie joined the crew, who would catch them awake, beg siffrin for a tattoo of their own, be told ‘no’, but would still be allowed to watch as long as they PROMISE not to tattle to madame and mira in the morning. bonnie absolutely tattles).
mira! does not seem like a tattoo person to me. i think she would be intimidated by the idea- partially in relation to the change belief, partially because she wouldnt know what to get. i like to think tattoos are probably pretty controversial to the religion… some people think they are a very powerful form of change! something you cant take back. others disagree for the same reason, that its permanent. so pre canon no tattoos for her. but!! but! as i mentioned before with siffrin getting tattoos for his family, i think mira might consider something as well (confidence boosted by the fact that the others will be matching). other than that though, it just doesnt appeal to her much.
bonnie has no tattoos also aaand it will stay that way for. a little bit. this is something that upsets them greatly because i also like to believe that nille has PLENTY of tattoos! possibly some she even got when she was much much younger! irresponsibly, of course, and many of them are regrettable. so she steers bonnie away from making that same mistake too young (tries to encourage them to wait until they are 18 at least). maybe bambouche as a whole is a very tattoo-supportive town, which is where bonnie got their interest. this does not stop them from making little paintings up their arms and having the others help out as well, to make up for it, in a non-permanent way.
i havent actually designed what any of their tattoos would look like… thats gotta be something i sit down to think about,,, one day maybe ehe

if Ienzo was a girl she would be lauded as the Princess of Light (Kairi is a Princess of Heart, which is completely different) in Radiant Garden and instead of taking her on as an apprentice, Ansem would have her do princess things™️ because this is Kingdom Hearts and we know how important princess are in everything Disney and so instead of aggressively and terrifyingly conquering the niche she's specialized in (aka book smarts), she'd be struggling in this princess role, which would be made worse because she can sense darkness and has shadow powers or something so she'd think she doesn't really deserve the title Princess of Light, and it's not really imposter syndrome at all because there are people in the world who think she shouldn't be the Princess because she was adopted, and here our path sort of splits based on the amount of misogyny certain characters have. if Ansem has no misogyny in him then when Ienzo displays curiosity about the science stuff he'll let her do it, but if not, then Ienzo will end up building a bunch of resentment for the guy. personally I think the latter is more interesting, sorry Ansem and also Ienzo. if Even isn't a misogynist then he'll try to kindle that spark of hunger for knowledge in Ienzo, which will, naturally, lead to an all-consuming force, as she's rarely given a taste of what she wants (that is, being in STEM) due to her princess responsibilities. if Even is a misogynist, that just fills Ienzo with even more hatred- hatred enough to almost be opposed to whatever the scientists are doing, and I was going to say it might make her align with Lea and Isa and help them sneak into the castle, except that Axel has had actual canon misogyny moments (buttons...) and their personalities would clash super badly so maybe not. Either way with Even, I feel confident saying that Xehanort would not be a misogynist, and Ienzo would latch onto him faster than in canon as the only person who really gets her, and she'd be much more eager to ruin Ansem's everything. Since this is the Ansem misogyny route, he'd be less likely to listen to her telling him to build a basement lab because what does she know about science? Except that being a princess requires a lot of social stuff so in this universe she'd be able to make up for that loss and it'd happen anyway. she'd have so much fun stomping on that Princess of Light role she never fit into. in the Organization she'd be similar as canon except less likely to take shit from people (like, canon Zexion agrees to the terms of 5d mind chess and plays the game in a very restrained way, girl!Zexion would be TIRED of it) and I think she and Larxene would be friends once Larxene makes her way into the group so not that similar after all because canon Zexion would never be friends with Larxene. aaand post

NEZUKO IN TGCF AAAND HUALIAN ADOPTS HER
. ݁₊ BUNNY HUT DELIVERY . ݁₊
Tumblr media
YOUR ORDER ㅤㅤㅤ
❥︎ Nezuko Kamado suddenly appears in Heaven Officials Blessing and Xie Lian and Hua Cheng adopts her. ❥︎ 931 words ❥︎ might have a few mistakes but still hope you enjoy it !
Tumblr media
Nezuko has witnessed several unbelievable events while traveling from demon to demon with her brother. She's even heard stories from her father before he died from an unknown illness that made his body weak. However, she has never been hit by another demons Blood Demon Art and arrive in a world that does not look like her own.
Thankfully, it was night, and there were still several people wandering the crowded streets, as she has gotten used to by this point. She was standing at her normal height, her fingers securely grasping her pink kimono, but her grip was not strong enough for her nails to sink in and tear the fabric apart.
Nezuko scans her surrounding, hoping to spot something that is at least somewhat familiar to her, but nothing was. Should she ask for help? She has no idea where she was, so asking for directions or simply where she was right now would be a great place to start. But she couldn't speak and hasn't been able to for two years, so how would she ask? Not only that, but she didn't have a brush or paper to write on to show anyone what she wanted to say (not like her writing would be that good anyways). All of this meant that she was on her own until she found anything that could help her get home
She takes a brief look at each passing building, some of which look to be prayer temples based on what she can see inside. She continues forward, taking in the beauty surrounding her, until fewer and fewer people and buildings show up around her. Now, the area surrounding her resembled an open field with small homes sprinkled along a lengthy pathway. She continues on this was, slowing her pace a bit to conserve energy until she hopefully finds a decent area to sleep as the sun rises.
There was a few areas here and there, but they were near clearly occupied residences, and she didn't want some random person finding her. While that might not seem too horrible, they may bring her out into the sun, even if they have no intention of harming her. That idea alone bothers her.
"My my," Nezuko flinches slightly at the unexpected voice. "What a demonic presence." She turns and faces two men, one of them dressed in red and had his dark hair tied lopsidedly, and she guesses he was the one speaking. The other shorter male approaches her and leans down a bit to reach her level. "Why do you have bamboo in your mouth?" He asks, mainly to himself rather than to her.
These two weren't human, that was obvious, but they weren't demons either, and she was unable to sense any malicious intentions from them, especially the one in white. He had such a sweet and serene smile; it made her think of her brother.
Since she knows that they are not human, they seem to have already concluded that she was a demon, or at least dangerous. Regardless, they chose to approach her with such care. "Can you talk without that?" The brunette in front of her asks, lazily gesturing to the bamboo with a small head tilt. She shakes her head, but she feels that he already knew the answer to his question. It wouldn't hurt to ask, right?
The other man approaches with a slight smile and stares down at Nezuko. "Well aren't you a little one." He said it in a tone that sounded like he was teasing her, but it didn't really bother her much. She even used his words as an excuse to grow taller. She grew dramatically and slowly until she was around six feet tall, around the same height as him. Her kimono hugged her figure, so she didn't dare to move too much. "What an interesting twist." The man dressed in red had widened eyes, but they quickly disappear and replaced with a faint smile.
Nezuko had been fighting before she appeared here, she had spent hours searching for a place to stay or figuring out how to get back to her brother, and now she has used some of her energy to increase her height in front of these two... whatever they are.
She was exhausted. So, she shrinks to the side of when she would normally sleep within her box and wipes her eye, causing the two males to exchange glances. She sits on the floor till her body collapses on her side, falling asleep surprisingly quickly.
"Gege." The man in red clothing says, keeping his eyes fixed on the little demon. "She's not a ghost." So, she's not a human nor a ghost. What was she? She had this menacing air around her, yet she did nothing that matched it. "Let's take her."
"What?" The white clothed man glances at him. "San Lang, what if someone is searching for her?" His face was filled with hesitation, but the other man, San Lang, did not change his. "They would leave a child out on their own? Let's keep her." He looks back at Nezuko. "If someone is looking for her, we'll have her, but if no one comes looking for her, let's keep her."
He doesn't even wait for the other male, Xie Lian, to to respond to what San Lang said before crouches to pick up the female. His eyes are tender as he stares at the sleeping demon, and this alone causes Xie Lian to stop. "I suppose that works too.."
What exactly has Nezuko gotten herself into?

Silm reread 6: the Shinies!
We are getting into things that divide the fandom a lot (= Feanor and his stuff), so one important note: in the reread posts, I am mentioning the stuff that I find interesting or I remembered differntly, or I did not remember. Those are generally things I wish to remember. Not cherrypicked points to prove anything. Just stuff that was surprising to me + seeking the meaning of "Darkness".
Also, I am a honorary (adopted?) Feanárion, but politically on the fence, pro-Valar, pro-Melkor-getting-over-his-bs, and I think Luthien was cool and Elwing was good (but not as cool as Luthien), but also that the sons of Feanor (Celegorm included) need help, and hugs, and generally something (something not being violence). TLDR: I am not interested in getting into a heated discourse.
OK, now for the reread proper:
A speculation (stated as such) of Feanáro having foresight that things will go bad soon. A more direct statement that he thought how to protect the Light of the Trees to make it indestructable (!)
Trauma foresight = the best foresight, it seems.
They loked like diamonds, so canonically white-ish. their fire is made of mixed Treelight, so I would assume warm white is canon.
They shone like stars of Varda but had real life inside — I really need this in English! OK, I googled it.
OH. Something else but: "he pondered how the light of the Trees, the glory of the Blessed Realm, might be preserved imperishable" — It may be me jumping on things + Tolkien's poetical wording, but this seems like a strong suggestion of "Fefe wanted to jump higher than his head" (he was not the first one) and sheds a light (pun intended) on his sttitude towards the Silmarils later.
Anyway back to that part about life: "and yet, as were they indeed living things, they rejoiced in light" So they are living things, not just "like" living things. Silmarills = baby Trees is canon! (OK, somewhat canon? but they *are* alive, and by logic they must be bred not made-in-the-strict-sense by Feanor)
So they glow by themselves with warm white, but also they are iridescent like diamonds. Beautiful indeed.
Everyone enjoyed them, fefe apparently had no problem showing them to others at this point. I would assume he ok-ed Varda doing her thing on them.
Aaand of course Melkor wants them too.
And, for some reason (I suppose just "it didn't occur to them it may be important") the Valar do not tell Elves that Men will be a thing. Except Melkor, who of course tells them. In secret. Yay. What a trustworthy source of information.
Melkor not understanding Men (I mean, understanding them even less than other Ainur do) because he was not paying attention is canon! :D XD Oh what an idiot. Like… "Nobody told me it will be on the test" attitude. and. this is canon. This is his canon attitude. How am I supposed to not pity him when he sounds so 12-year-old? Yea, he is terrible, but also so childish at times. I'm gonna bluescreen again. Also, he is a jerk very much.
And we get to the point when Fefe gets posessive on the shinies. (Also, Melkor never ever got even close to them)
also the book does not claim the Silmarils weren't his, just that the light living inside them was not his own nor his creation. which very much fits with my "Silms as living creatures" reading.
Melkor is conflicting everyone and projecting his issues on Fefe (BTW I wouldn't be surprised if at this point he tells himself that the Flame Inperishable was rightfully his and was stolen from him etc etc, he feels like he would do that)
Feanor makes a secret forge! That's… a bad idea but also kind of cool. Even Melkor does not find out. that's even cooler of Fefe.
We are explicitely told that Manwë did not react to Feanor speaking about leaving, because the Noldor came willingly and had the right to leave, which would be crazy (in the opinion of the Valar, which I do not agree with, but I do not agree with Feanor's attitude either) but the Valar would not stop them.
Banishment. Fingolfin does not usurp anyone, at least in Polish translation. Finwë moves to Formenos to his beloved son, leaving the ruling of Tirion to Fingolfin.
The jail-crow scene is even funnier after I realized it is after Melkor's lies were found out and he is actively hiding from the police Tulkas and Orome. He talks to Feanor at his gate and (judging from the door shutting at the end) it is either Feanor was coming back home and they talk in front of the gate, or Feanor actually opened the gate to talk with him. This makes it even better. Fefe literally kicks the once-most-powerful-Vala out of his house.
The "do not talk to Feanáro when he is thinking" rule strikes again.

slams down characters
oda, ango, and dazai aaand akutagawa
Oh you just sent me an entire feast okay. We'll go in the order they're listed, so first: Oda
First impression
Oh hey it's a fairly reasonable guy. In Bungou Stray Dogs. How ni- oh he's so dead.
Impression now
He's a really well-excuted character for the role he serves in the story, and while I more appreciate his role than the character himself, his vibes are on point.
Favorite moment
God Dark Era's so fucking good as a whole but. Honestly. The moment after the kids explode- the line about how he only realized he was the one screaming when his throat started hurting absolutely makes me feral oh my god.
Idea for a story
A continuation(?) of this fic I wrote where I sort of elaborate on the relationship he and Ango develop, and what his life in the Port Mafia is like now that... well.
Unpopular opinion
Dazai and Oda are just platonic friends. It's not a one-sided crush, it's not a papa-son adoption, it's not a brotherly thing, it's a friendship. Maybe it's the aro-aceness but I really do think their relationship is at it's most powerful when it's percieved that way.
Favorite relationship
Buraiha Trio is iconic okay. The Oda-Dazai dynamic means so much to both of them
Favorite headcanon
Despite most assuming that the line in BEAST means Oda dies in every universe but BEAST, I take the line to mean that there are universes where he lives, he just doesn't become a writer like he wants to. And that is just as heartbreaking.
Now Ango...
First impression
Damn... that's rough buddy.
Impression now
Pathetic wet cat of a man and god there's so much sadness in him.
Favorite moment
Gonna be honest it's a tie between one of his most tragic moments (the trio's final time in Bar Lupin as he says he wishes that someday in the future they could come back here again) and one of his "Let me use my tragedy to move me forewards" moments (when in Anne's Space he tells Mushitaro to wait, that this is why he used the Seventh Agency's services, that he had to make amends to an old friend AAAAAAAAA-)
Idea for a story
A continuation of the PM Ango AU because the man is already so, so sad, and that AU just. Does not help make him any less sad.
Unpopular opinion
I like Odango as a ship and I like exploring it as such, but I don't think of as it as canon or interpret canon through that lense.
Favorite relationship
Do I even have to say the Buraiha Trio? (But Mushitaro and Ango's dynamic and the places it could go is a close second.)
Favorite headcanon
He has more moles than the one on his face, you just never see them because the man wears a full suit all the time. But he has them, I promise you.
Onto Dazai:
First impression
Gonna be honest a guy trying to off himself should not be this funny but like. It is extremely funny.
Impression now
A morally gray character I can actually comfortably call morally grey is so, so nice, and I do like that despite his awful past he's trying very hard to do good. Can't call him a good person, but he's doing good things, good for him.
Favorite moment
That one fairly early scene in the Ranpo episode where they have to pull him out of the river, probably.
Idea for a story
Hm, I don't usually write Dazai-centric stuff? (With the exception of the Copycat one) but either something focusing on him and Chuuya's dynamic in the Agency Chuuya AU, where Dazai has to reconcile the boy he met all those years ago with the man he's now coworkers with today... or a scene from a different AU, where Dazai meets a Port Mafia boss at a cafe, and the two of them talk about the tragedy that befell Mori Ogai four years before.
Unpopular opinion
SKK is a fascinating and dynamic ship, but I think the fandom is really sleeping on exploring his dynamics with other characters, especially in AUs that tend to center around SKK. It's not something I feel super negatively on, just a bit oversaturated with it.
Favorite relationship
I am once again holding up Buraiha Trio as my favorite canon example, but I also love to deconstruct the SKK dynamic in settings where they aren't Double Black
Favorite headcanon
...Y'know what I don't. Have one. Uh.
Well onto Akutagawa!
First impression
(Seeing how he treats Higuchi) Oh he's a misogynist okay.
Impression now
A silly little scrinkle boy who needs some work, but I do adore him <3
Favorite moment
Y'know that scene where he's fighting Atsushi and when he gets kicked back we get a flashback to Dazai kicking him back like that, and every moment prior gets recontextualized as we realize that Akutagawa is a direct victim of Dazai being at his worst while Atsushi is directly saved by Dazai being at his best? Yeah. Yeah that.
Idea for a story
I do want to continue his story from my Copycat AU one day, but I just... don't know how to, unfortunately.
Unpopular opinion
I don't ship him with Atsushi. I understand the appeal and say go on shippers! I just personally don't wanna explore their dynamic romantically speaking.
Favorite relationship
However shipping aside I do still find the Akutagawa-Atsushi dynamic very compelling, and I hope we get to see more of them in the future.
Favorite headcanon
Y'know that fish-eye look he does in Wan. With the blank stare. He does that in canon too.

hi hello! you asked for asks, so this is me asking you about something i like to think about way too much, feel free to answer :)
(and also, I'm dumping my 2am thoughts on this in your inbox, which i sincerely apologise for) (you have been warned)
soo, do you have any fav hc on how immortal merlin would go through life?
i personally like to think that he would truly live. by that i mean he'd surely have dark and reclusive episodes, maybe going temporarily insane or spending a century trapped in a tree but there'd also be the light and hopeful moments. he would travel the world and learn about other cultures and other types of magic, find and lose new friends, adopt some children and both magical and non magical creatures along the way. he would grow more powerful and feel more responsibility for everything happening around him. after trying to alter history, perhaps successfully even but still failing to save so many, he would eventually come to the conclusion that he has no authority to decide the course of history for people that are born into entirely different centuries than he was.
at some point he would come back to his home island and marvel at the world changing so rapidly around him. he'd still have his soft spot and empathy for the humans surrounding him, but he'd start wondering if he ever was or ever would be one of them. the rise of science and technology would give him an excellent chance to keep himself busy and learn new things, even aged about one and a half millenia.
in the year 2023 he would live as his younger self in a small house overflowing with books and plants in rural wales. if you look close enough you might be able to spot a few cats that may or may not be dragons roaming around. a network of robotic davices spans through the whole house, that magically connected truly make it a smart home. nobody is quite sure how merlin does it but he has by far the most reliably working wifi in the whole village which is open for anyone to use, so teenagers gather in his garden like flocks of birds around food in the winter. merlin himself usually can be found there enjoying a cup of tea in the evening after days of meeting old friends, working on five projects in four different continents at the same time and trying to keep the sudden influx of dragon populations under wraps. it is a good life and he is enjoying himself as much as he can without the government noticing that there is definitely something off about him.
on bad days, when the years weigh down on him and he feels like a stone chained to his ankle is dragging him down to the bottom of his memories, he turns into an old man and visits the not-very-lakey-anymore lake of avalon to allow himself to dwell in the past for jusy a moment.
on his way back a truck drives past him way to fast but merlin doesn't even bat his eye as keeps on walking....
aaand we've come full circle, yay.
so yeah, these are some of my thoughts and man, there are so many more, i hope you enjoyed i guess?
BABE I LOVE THIS HEADCANON!!!! consider it accept by me and being used by me as well <3
tbh this is a new headcanon of mine, but I really like the idea of Merlin being pen pals with other immortals. basically forming an immortals’ support group (the other co-founder is Sun Wukong bc I said so).
idk I think it would be fun just have a sitcom-like story of Merlin writing letters to his immortal friends about his life and his past lives and stuff that they all relate to
Dear Keanu, I really enjoyed your film “The Matrix” brought back some old memories!
or
Dear Wukong, You will not believe the week I had! Some girl found Excalibur in the lake and Freya won’t allow me to steal it back from her despite the girl NOT being the Once and Future King 😤 I did find a compromise where Leon and I would give her lessons but we had to keep Excalibur since it was such a deadly weapons (she was a rough cookie, but we got her parents to crack first!)
those kind of letters :3
idk I just think it would be fun

A brief selection of Sascha-related AUs I have floating around in my head, posting to keep track of them all. Content warnings for... basically everything relating to Sascha's backstory, and the Dracon's.
Tumblr media
Already posted: university AU, Youtuber AU (with some extra bits here and here), crossovers (Sascha features in the HDM and Pokemon ones, more on the HDM one here), and a nice silly non-Sascha one.
The Dracondoption AU: In 1002, the Keeper of the Faith writes to the Dracon after Myca's Embrace and is like, "So you know how Symeon is just like Antonius? He just Embraced his first childe and he's just like you." Dracon goes 'oh hell no' and returns to Constantinople, promptly adopting Myca as his own adoptive childe. Symeon is displeased, but what's he gonna do against his methuselah grandsire? A lot of ideas here were somewhat recycled into...
The Clanswap AU: Going in briefly here because I’m writing this one! tl;dr Etrius is better able to insulate Myca from Goratrix and Embraces them in 1022 as one of the first Tremere. Surprisingly, things go a lot better than expected. When Myca inevitably finds their way to Constantinople, they also find something unexpected for a Tremere scholar - a new, largely Tzimisce family. There's a bit on it here, although some details will be changing for the fic.
Beneath the cut: The AU Where Ilias Survives, The AU With More Carpathian Politics And Much Less Constantinople Bullshit, The Cyberpunk AU, The AU Where It Started Out As A Cute Tattoo Artist And Florist AU Then Cults Happened, The Knight And The Dragon AU (I wrote like 2k on that one I'm sorry), aaand now the Zelda AU.
The AU Where Ilias Survives
Based on this excerpt from Margaret Rogerson's Vespertine, and the idea of Dracon!Myca, good version.
Ilias survives his possession by the Eldest. He's traumatised, feels incredibly guilty over everything, and probably needs a long time to recover, but he does recover in time, and is able to help Myca - the new Myca-and-the-Dracon - in turn.
In canon, the Dracon had lost Antonius, and Gesu, and Michael, and Constantinople. The Dream was dead. He wanted to follow suit. Myca had just lost Ilias, and their entire household, and probably most significantly, their faith and trust in Symeon. They were both extraordinarily alone, so they just... built this defensive wall and did not let anyone else in. But what if Ilias survived? He'd probably throw himself into looking after Myca as a way to atone for what happened. And he's got this tremendous capacity for empathy. Myranda's explanation for how he survived points out that even after the Eldest burnt him to death, he was still able to gently heal and look after the one who killed him and who permanently traumatised his lover. They'd need time to heal together, but Ilias being there would change things enormously.
So Ilias lives, and is able to support Dracon!Myca, show them love and compassion and tenderness. Myca knows how to love someone (even if they hadn't yet been able to say it). The Dracon knows how to love, but his most recent relationships were, um, dysfunctional. But with Ilias there to show him what a loving relationship is actually like? They'd... admittedly probably be very dependent on Ilias, but still significantly more stable. And with his support, the Dracon and Myca are able to work out a way to live a balanced existence.
Also,
Ilias: "*kisses Myca on the cheek* For my flower ❤️ " Myca: 😊 Ilias: "*kisses Myca on the other cheek* For my dragon ❤️ " Dracon: ................🥺
The AU With More Carpathian Politics And Much Less Constantinople Bullshit
Goratrix manages to reach a Carpathian Tzimisce after all in his attempts to kill Myca. They still Embrace them rather than kill them. Lugoj already has a canon connection with Myca, so why not make him their sire? He still serves as a mentor and teacher, just more directly here; Velya, with no Dracon-related issues with Myca this time around, does as well.
Lugoj is from an absolute mess of a line, his sire Noriz is full-on Evil Tyrant, two of Noriz' childer, Rachlav and Lukasz, are basically at war, and Koban starts out in the Anarchs but ends up tyrannical himself. Koban was canonically Myca's mentor, so it'll be fun if they meet earlier, and maybe here Myca can learn Koldunic sorcery from him? I also want them to meet Ilias earlier, like just after Dorinta's death, because angry!Ilias is a fun concept.
Slightly messier setting with no Obertus State, meaning there's no buffer between Rustovich and Jurgen (Symeon probably dies in 1204 because one of the main reasons he survives in the first place is Myca ensuring they have somewhere in the Carpathians to flee to. Here, he probably dies trying to save Gesu good riddance, and the entire region is a mess of politics and intrigue.) The Dracon still carries out his revenge against Nikita, but doesn't end up in Myca's custody (I get the feeling Jurgen picked Myca specifically to send him to because of Myca's involvement in setting up the Obertus State and running interference between him and Rustovich, and that doesn't happen here). His story continues, but Myca is unlikely to be involved (unless they visit Ilias' great-grandsire Damek in Sarmizegetusa?).
Lugoj is... relatively undefined compared to Velya, if only by virtue of his possible much earlier death, so it's free real estate there. Noriz seems to have little to go on other than 'fucked-up tyrant', and his sire, the methuselah Djavakhi, has absolutely nothing and is only known for Embracing Noriz. Lugoj is unlikely to use and abuse blood bonds, however, since both Noriz is known for using them and he's also one of the founders of the Vaulderie, so Myca is still able to build a respectful relationship with their sire, untainted by forced bonds. Lugoj... probably still ends up going on his little power trip by diablerising Byelobog and then going "you know what, I can totally eat the Eldest" and gets killed for it, but, you know, shit happens. Either way, always-Carpathian Myca plus Koldunism and minus a lot of Draconian bullshit.
The Cyberpunk AU
The Eldest is the creator of the mind upload system, sought after by those wanting digital immortality but not recommended for risk of, well, losing your entire identity. When they near death, they begin the process of uploading themself, only for something to go wrong at the last moment, forcing their son, the Dracon, to link his own interface chips to the Eldest's system to save their life. Eventually, the Eldest reconstructs themself enough to sever that connection, 'birthing' themself onto the network and spreading throughout it, a digital ghost overlooking everything; the Dracon is left with their mind partially online.
It's not going great. His boyfriend Michael is controlling, and makes selective edits to ensure that the Dracon stays dependent, stays with him, is shaped by Michael into being ~everything he is~. When Michael dies in his own attempt to upload himself, the Dracon attempts suicide, including deleting his online components. The Eldest is not having this, and drags the Dracon online fully, although this system is fundamentally unstable.
The Eldest needs a solution. Able to jump into the brain of anyone with an interface chip (although, whoops, the process does tend to burn them out - and the brain they're attached to - in the process), they jump into the brain of Ilias cel Frumos, directing him to upload a stable version of the Dracon into the brain of his lover, Sascha.
It works. It's also traumatic. Ilias' brain burns out, and Sascha has been forcibly fused with another mind riding alongside their own. They... react pretty poorly, not realising that the Eldest has actually been able to upload Ilias' consciousness. Ilias' incredibly strong sense of self allows him to stay compartmentalised without diffusing throughout the network, able to help the Eldest, in turn, work out their own fractured sense of identity after so long as a digital ghost; in gratitude, the Eldest will eventually construct Ilias a new body of discarded flesh and cybernetic parts, and upload him into it.
Meanwhile, though, Sascha deals with the Dracon. They look normal enough, with a few cosmetic upgrades, like a glimmering Virgo constellation across their face, Spica replaced with one eye. When the Dracon is fused to them, more of these lights appear, more lights and shadows to change the whole look of their features. Who are they really seeing when they look in the mirror? Do they even remember what their own face looked like?
(Beckett, the nosy historian, meets Sascha of the glowing face. He meets Ilias, an AI/upload/download. He puts the connections together. He's able to facilitiate a reunion. Maybe together, they'll be able to work something out...)
The AU Where It Started Out As A Cute Tattoo Artist And Florist AU Then Cults Happened
"Also that time-honoured tradition of introverted tattoo artist Sascha who's fine with touching others but has trouble being touched in turn, and Ilias, the sunny florist who just took over the shop next door, and who's just asked Sascha for a huge botanical backpiece, something that will see him spending many hours with Sascha... (No plot there, just fluff XD)"
It starts off pretty fluffy! Tattoo artist and florist in adjoining stores. Beckett works in the bookstore across the road, and his rivalry with Sascha is largely down to competing to get the last double-chocolate muffin from the local bakery, and also because Sascha's cat, Hediye, strongly dislikes how Beckett smells of his dog (who is probably part wolf). Kept getting distracted and switching his major until he ended up buried in debt and needing to start working in retail. Over time he ended up really vibing with it and ended up owning the store. Alternatively, he did fine in academia then realised his teaching options with a PhD in history were pretty much just teaching and went, "...no." Lucita teaches martial arts. Anatole is, well, local priesthood drop-out and conspiracy theorist. (He doesn't have visions, he just enjoys hacking into people's email.) Ilias is involved in the local pagan scene and has an altar out in the woods (which, uh, Anatole definitely saw as Suspicious, they end up clearing it all up later).
Then we got into working out how the Dracon is involved and it all went downhill from there.
The Dracon arrives in town, seeking out Sascha and requesting they hide him from his ex, Michael. Michael is a charismatic high-level member of the Dream cult, complete with religious grandiosity, and believes that in order to be reborn as the Archangel Michael, he needs to die, and is perfectly happy for the rest of his cultists/followers to follow with him. The Dracon went along with it until he couldn't any more, and now he's doing his best to hide, and protect Sascha in the process. Anatole, the one who knows the most about cults and conspiracies, does actually know what Michael's is all about - and he's noticed that Sascha is weirdly familiar with it too.
Sascha grew up in another small town, in a group home run by a mysterious figure known as the Eldest. The three undisputed leaders of the home were the Dracon (the Eldest's adopted son), Michael, and Antonius; when they were teenagers, brothers Gesu and Symeon arrived, becoming heavily influenced by the Dracon and Antonius respectively. Symeon has more or less reached adulthood by the time Myca shows up, but the Trinity still remain, more or less running the home in the increasingly reclusive Eldest's stead, and Myca is taken under Symeon's wing. The Dracon, however, has realised that maybe Not All Is Well here with the Dream, and subtly encourages Symeon to maybe... take Myca away from it all.
Symeon does, legally adopting Myca when he turns eighteen, and moving away. He's still deeply loyal to Antonius, though, and to Michael, and his escape isn't quite as complete as the Dracon would have wanted. Myca still grows up in the confines of the Dream, and it's only when the Dracon contacts them directly as they reach adulthood that they're able to break ties, leave for university, realise that wait a tic was that a cult? Did they grow up in a cult?, change their name to Sascha, and try to start over.
Which they're able to do! Or, at least, until the Dracon and Michael show up again, dragging Sascha's past in with them...
It works out. The Scooby Gang are able to compile evidence of Michael's concerning actions and plans, and the Dracon takes the nuclear option... of contacting his Dad. Who promptly is able to swoop in and have Michael put away for a long time. And with Ilias' help, Sascha is able to Learn How To Love!
(In the mean time, Mithras is a former movie star best known for his military roles, turned small-town mayor. He initially comes under suspicion due to his fanbase/followers referring to themselves as the Cult of Mithras (his breakout role was a cult classic, natch), but it's fine, they're just very dedicated.) He gets re-elected pretty easily, mostly because everyone else dislikes his perpetual opponent, Valerius. His husband Roger is the local mortician, Mithras' secretary, and one of those Power Behind The Throne figures, with a strong dislike for the Giovanni family who came in and immediately monopolised the local funeral parlour that Roger used to run as well. Getting into town politics was his best chance of revenge, really!)
The Knight And The Dragon AU
Based on my tags in this post and joking around about an AU where Myca was born in 1976 and Embraced in 2002, and then it gained sentience or something.
They're still Romanian, now born in Ceausescu-era Romania which was a goddamn time. Their family is high up in the regime, and Myca grows up the eldest of several, studious, a bit spoiled, and always a bit inclined towards weirdness. When they start having 'fits and visions' at age thirteen, their family contact doctors instead of healers, and they're promptly diagnosed with epilepsy... but still end up being recognised as a young mage in the process of Awakening, because the timing had always been a coincidence.
House Tremere is definitely no longer a mage thing at this point. Instead, they're found by the Celestial Chorus, and invited to move to Rome to start studying properly. Their parents, who, at this point, are recognising that there's just a bit of instability in the Communist world in the late 80s, are honestly kind of relieved to send their eldest child abroad!
It's stable for... less than a decade. Myca thrives amongst the Choristers, becoming particularly adept at bibliomancy, and is safely insulated in Italy from the fall of the Ceaucescu regime back in Romania, although they're still able to financially support their family when they're left destitute after the fall (the Chorus looks after their own). They start poking curiously at the queer community, coming out first as gay and then as genderqueer, much more comfortable in their own skin now that they have words to describe themself rather than. Well. Tenth century concepts of gender. They reach adulthood and start getting more involved with Chorus politics, gravitating towards the Guardian Orders and ultimately joining the hunter Order of St George and the Dragon, being vaguely cognizant of stories of 'dragons' back in Romania, and recognising that that means vampires.
Chaos strikes from 1997 to the end of the century, with the Reckoning, the War in Heaven, the Week of Nightmares, and the Avatar Storm. With the Chorus in chaos, Myca opts to focus on what they can do, and returns to the near-unrecognisable Romania, seeking out Dragons to slay to try and at least alleviate some of the sheer disconcertion of being back in their homeland, which no longer at all resembles the country they grew up in. Best to ignore how completely alien they feel in their own homeland, and start looking for Dragons.
The first one they meet is Ilias cel Frumos.
Let's backtrack a little to the 13th century. In 1204, Constantinople is taken by the Fourth Crusade. In the chaos, the Dream that had held together for centuries collapse. Its Patriarch, Michael, allows himself to be killed. Gesu, Saint of the Divinity Within and childe of the long-missing Dracon, burns with his haven, and his brother-childe Symeon, who has no Carpathian childe of his own to pull him to safety, dies with him. The Dracon, long departed, learns of the loss of his city, his lover, and his childe and grandchilde, and is thrown into both further mourning and a burning desire for revenge. His one solace is that his childe, the Keeper of the Faith, has managed to escape, along with the bulk of his library.
His revenge takes decades. In 1232, he finally kills the Archbishop of Nod, Nikita of Sredetz, his grandchilde, and takes his form. In this guise, he comes under attack by the Ventrue Jurgen of Madgeburg, and staked. Jurgen, who has long been in conflict with the Carpathian Tzimisce and not having a convenient Obertus State to put the blame on, decides to sow a bit more discord and send the 'Archbishop' to one of the more influential Tzimisce - Damek Ruthven of Sarmizegetusa.
Damek has a few advantages here. He's old. He's powerful. He has a giant library. He has a tree hosting the soul of his clan founder in his backyard. He's able to work out who 'Nikita' is pretty damn quickly, and consults the God-Tree on what to do; the God-Tree requests that 'Nikita' be buried in the soft soil around its roots, and should a traveller come, to let them see the tree unhindered. The Eldest, still immensely powerful even in their more limited form, calls out, seeking one amongst their blood who will be... suiting.
Ilias, great-grandchilde of Damek, is one of the ones to heed the call. Ostensibly, it's a pleasant-enough familial visit, and Damek gives Ilias no restriction on where he can explore. Ilias, drawn to the God-Tree and the presence within, approaches it - and when he falls back this time, it's no red seed he's been given, but a whole-ass methuselah fused to his soul.
Still, Ilias is actually a pretty good candidate to host the Dracon's soul. He has an extremely strong sense of self, and is able to compartmentalise, to firm the divisions between him and the Dracon. He might be the Dracon's host, but they are not the same people, and the Dracon is permitted a bit of time and space to rest, even as Ilias struggles with everything else that having a methuselah soul merged to his own brings.
The Anarch Revolt takes place. Ilias, who adored his sire, doesn't take part, but does sympathise with those who do; officially considered Autarkis, he still associates with young Anarchs and later Sabbat members who seek freedom, unable to fully have his own but still holding on thanks to the teachings he had learned through the Path of Pleasure.
Several centuries pass.
By the 21st century, Ilias is well and truly an elder of some nine centuries, Autarkis, an immensely powerful koldun, possibly single-handedly responsible for keeping the Path of Pleasure alive, and a bit, uh, prone to decades-long naps, when even he feels the Dracon's ennui. The Dracon, for his part, mostly sleeps in the back of Ilias' mind; when awake, he can find it a little easier to cope with company, and spends his nights deepening his knowledge, reading, corresponding with the Keeper, the only one who knows he's still alive. To all others, he's a long-missing relic of Constantinople, who dropped off the radar some time in the early thirteenth century, and for the most part, that's exactly what he is with Ilias in the driver's seat. Ilias, for his part, carries out his yearly traditions as a Priest of Jarilo, even as followers become fewer and fewer; still, he has a methuselah's persuasion, and more than a few mortals in his domain have actually become followers of Jarilo long after the deity would have otherwise been forgotten. A pagan witch-priest known for decadence and both casual and ritualistic sex, and being ridiculously pretty to boot, he has a following that doesn't quite fall under the realm of breaking the Masquerade but certainly pushes the boundaries a bit.
So when Myca goes searching for Dragons, it's Ilias they find, the Dracon resting in the back of his mind. But while Ilias is certainly a Dragon, he's no Fiend, and Myca is more intrigued than anything else. As for Ilias, he's tired. They're both tired. The Dracon has been tired for over a millennium. Ilias is getting there. But now, here's this young mage and their spiritual quest to protect their land from those that would hurt it, and yeah, that... piques his interest a bit. The two spend time together, realise they don't actually mind each other's company. Myca begins to wonder if all vampires are like this, and if so, what does that mean for the Order? Recognising Myca's thirst for knowledge, and the Dracon recognising a kindred spirit, and Ilias realising that he's at dire risk of falling for a mortal, sends the young mage on to the Library of the Forgotten (now somewhere in Central Europe), to learn more about the Cainite world from the Keeper.
Myca arrives at the Library, and it's everything a library mouse would have ever dreamed of, and sure, they're spending time in the company of vampires they had been taught for over ten years were creatures of darkness that meant no good, but they quite like the Keeper and they goddamn love the Library. It has material from Alexandria! They're in love!
...And then word of a mortal mage spending time with the Tzimisce reaches the ears of the Tremere. And, well, the Tremere do like mortal mages and also stealing from the Tzimisce.
By the time the Keeper gets to the scene, Myca is near death. The seemingly-frail old librarian who is actually, you know, a fifth generation methuselah is able to deal with the Tremere interlopers pretty handily, but not even she can save someone who has been exsanguinated. To save Myca's life, or what's left of it, she's forced to Embrace them, as awful and as traumatic as the Embrace of a mage would be, reasoning that better her than the Tremere. She's more or less correct in that, at least, and Myca already likes and respects the Keeper, and yeah, it's as traumatic as expected, and they pull away from the Keeper a bit, who understands because there wasn't really choice involved. After a brief period of adjustment, they return to Romania, and then go to find Ilias again, missing him and feeling something new drawing them together. (It's not Ilias, in fact, that they're being drawn to - rather, it's their new grandsire's soul within Ilias.)
So, the newly-Embraced Myca returns to Ilias (and the Dracon), and they’re now not a mortal and also, to the Dracon, family, and that... changes the dynamic somewhat. Yes okay there's like a nine century age difference, it's fine. Ilias is Alert and Awake and Interested for the first time in what feels like much too long, and the Dracon is intrigued by his new kin, whom his favourite childe saw enough worth in to save, and maybe - maybe they can both be awake for a bit, both be present to help Myca through this. Myca is, well, a bit surprised to learn about a) their grandsire b) being fused to the vampire they've been crushing on staying with, but slowly, they get to know the Dracon as well.
Ilias gets: someone who intrigues him enough to shake off the ennui of centuries. Someone he's fascinated by - a little bit infatuated with. Someone who has this energy and dynamism of youth and very recent mortality that, in turn, revives him as well.
The Dracon gets: family. A new grandchilde. Someone who's so similar to him, and if he's growing fond of Myca, if he's finding positive values in someone he relates to so much, then maybe - maybe those positive values exist in him.
Myca gets: support to deal with their recent Embrace. An entire world of information and knowledge opened up to them with their sire and grandsire and the Library. A Dragon - two Dragons! - who aren't the monsters they've been taught, but who are people, people they can see a life - or an unlife, at least - with.
And it actually goes okay! Myca introduces them to film, and Ilias and the Dracon get The Louis Effect of seeing a sunrise for the first time in centuries - millennia, for the Dracon. They introduce them to the internet and social media. The Dracon joins Livejournal during his time with his and Ilias' body and is immediately assigned dragonkin and also he doesn't mind that much. Myca and Ilias... start growing closer, and Ilias starts finding joy in teaching someone the Path of Pleasure again, and seeing Myca emerge into Cainite unlife with something approaching a stable base of support and also modern knowledge of things like. Psychologists.
Eventually, they'll return to Sarmizegetusa and learn where the Eldest left for, track down Lambach Ruthven, and ask where to find the Eldest. Lambach, who's having the weirdest few centuries ever, points them to New York. Two vampires enter the meat crime ecosystem beneath the city; four leave, with the Dracon enjoying corporeality for the first time in about eight centuries and the Eldest's mood much improved by the Dracon's improving mental health, enough to perhaps leave their underground haven (there still might be biting orchids and lullaby-singing baby-head bushes, though). And a baby mage-turned-fledgling, an elder shaking off ennui like a puppy shaking off water, a methuselah beginning to find value in the world again, and the former-meat-crime-ecosystem-now-Just-A-Dude Tzimisce Antediluvian go about to live out their unlives. (The Eldest might go hang out with Arikel for a bit. See if they can do anything about Saulot's worm situation.)
They change! Isn't that a good thing, for the Clan of Shapers? The Dracon finds there are new books coming out every night. There's livestreams of the great outdoors and high-resolution photos of the surface of Mars and Ghibli anime. There are memes. Ilias gets into debates with mortal pagans over the disappointing lack of ritualistic moonlit orgies in honour of the advent of spring, discovers selfies, discovers selfies with cat-ear filters. Myca attempts to read their way through the entire Library of Alexandria, renews their connection to their homeland, learns fleshcrafting to give themself the body they've always wanted and that they finally feel at home in.
Change! Metamorphosis!
The Zelda AU
VtM: Zelda AU version. Some spoilers for Tears of the Kingdom, mostly setting-related, but also a lot of Zonai-related stuff, including Mineru's whole thing.
The Upheaval isn't quite as bad as the Calamity a hundred and five years earlier, in the end. Sure, there are rocks falling from the sky and Hyrule Castle is floating, but the new caves and sheer abundance of new Zonai ruins will have historians and researchers busy for years. One of the centres of research is the Sheikah village of Kakariko, once quiet, now home of the Ring Ruins and the Zonai Research Team, one of which is led by senior researcher Aristotle and his Squad, Beckett, Anatole, and Lucita.
Some of the Sheikah take it in their stride, others are... less thrilled. Others are extremely unthrilled but also trying not to show it because they're also trying to not let on that this is quite literally the central population of their people, and is just quietly trying to research away without a) having an existential crisis, b) reveal the spirit piggybacking onto them, or c) accidentally flirting with the frankly infuriating Beckett.
Backtrack to that tumultuous century between the Calamity and the reemergence of Princess Zelda. There had been quite a few attempts at taking the throne, mostly by people trying to claim to be long-lost members of the Royal Family, others with different angles. One with a different angle was Michael and his Dream, a charismatic Hylian who claimed to be the mortal aspect of the Goddess of Courage, Farore. Along with him were his lovers Antonius (supposedly an aspect of Goddess of Power, Din) and the Dracon, a Sheikah, an aspect of the Goddess of Wisdom, Nayru. As these Goddesses reborn, clearly they had the legitimacy to rule.
They managed for at least a little while, gathering a small but loud following. Alas, Antonius and the Dracon loathed each other and Michael had an ego that could be seen from space, with the entire Dream collapsing, Antonius and Michael now dead and the Dracon vanished. The surviving members of their followers, including the Dracon's son Symeon and Symeon's young son Myca, scattered, Symeon eventually using his status to become Chief of the small Sheikah village they inhabited. Myca grew up quiet and bookish, skilled with both magic and more intellectual pursuits, aspiring to become a researcher like their famous grandfather, the Dracon. They were fascinated by the Zonai, eventually specialising in their history, and as their knowledge of the world expanded, so too did their realisation that the legacy Symeon still clung to was, frankly, a cult.
So they ran away and joined the Yiga.
That was okay, until it wasn't, with a new hero demolishing the ranks and the esteemed Master Kohga revealed to be, frankly, a buffoon. Myca, now calling themself Sascha, retreated somewhat reluctantly into the Depths with them, then, less reluctantly, threw themself into exploring the Zonai ruins and technology there, too fascinated to walk away. There, they had strange encounters, and in a long-forgotten corner of the Depths, they encountered a familiar spirit - the lingering soul of their grandfather, not a disembodied Poe but a fully-cognizant spirit, who had willingly detached himself from his body when the Dream had turned into a nightmare, using long-forgotten techniques of unknown origin (neither the Dracon nor Sascha would ever learn it was their ancestor Mineru from whom the technique originated).
The Dracon had long been lingering in the company of the Bargainers, especially the one known only as the Eldest. But now he was tired. With Sascha there, he hoped he would be able to move on, perhaps, able to pass on his knowledge to a worthy successor. The Eldest, attached to the Dracon, saw otherwise, and decided to give their favourite disembodied spirit a new body.
Namely, Sascha's.
(The Eldest didn't actually give many considerations to what Sascha or the Dracon actually wanted.)
With no real connections to the Yiga any more anyway, the traumatised Sascha fled back to the surface, using Sheikah (and Yiga) illusion magic born from Shadow magic to disguise their face, taking whatever appearance they felt best fit them at the time. And they kept wandering over the next couple of years, until the Upheaval threw everything into chaos again, with an absolute plethora of Zonai technology falling from the sky, including in the Sheikah village of Kakariko.
It's a little too much to resist. Sascha ends up quietly stealing into Kakariko, passing themself off as just another Hylian researcher, not wanting to reveal either their past with the Yiga or their connection (more literal than most) to the famous Dracon. With the sky falling, will they be able to find the breakthroughs their intellectual side demands, will they be able to avoid the charms of the Frankly Infuriating Beckett, and will they ever be able to come to terms with their past?

WIP Game
No one tagged me, I tagged myself in because I want to and you can't stop me =P And I'm tagging everyone who sees this that writes! Do it! Dooo iiit!
Rules: In a new post, list the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them and then post a little snippet of it or tell them something about it. And then tag as many people as you have WIPs.
I don't actually have a WIP folder, I have WIP folders, plural. So, I'm adding a rule that I can't have posted any of the fic online anywhere for it to qualify, and I also have to have worked on it some time in the last... four years?

Aaand the total comes to 90! At least it's less than a 100... And that's just the stuff I've worked on recently! (Yes, four years is recent. I have fics I haven't actually touched in 6+ years that are still marinating in my brain, waiting for the pieces to fall into place) If you've trawled through all of those to get here, you've got more stamina than I do!
Please ask about anything that piques your interest! I'd love to talk about some of these, see if it gets the creative juices flowing. (Also feel free to ask about any of the WIPs I have posted on here or Ao3!)

After considering for a long time, I caved in today and decided to create more Twinsomnia OCs!
Tumblr media
Lemme show ya how I made them :D
——————————————————————
Tumblr media
This little kids’ name is Leon! He’s a 5 year old adopted kid who’s obsessed with anything and everything space related. Because he’s an orphan, he’s def got some of that mandatory secret traumatizing backstory that haunts him but I haven’t concluded what exactly. Yet 🙂
Tumblr media
At first, I wanted him to have this toy space helmet that he wears 24/7 and have him have poofy hair that takes up space (pun intended) in there, but I wanted to try something else for fun, so I gave him braids instead because braids are cool 👍🏾 I also switched his little star onesie for an astronaut one ‘cause that’s what he wants to be when he grows up!
Tumblr media
I played with his shape language a couple of times to see how unique I can make him look, however I got stuck so I’m ultimately going with the classic “tiny body big head” look and will hopefully redesign him more along the way.
Tumblr media
(P.S: I know it says his name’s Louie on this drawing but I eventually switched it to Leon because it just. Fits him better 🤷🏾‍♀️)
Tumblr media
This is Nicole! (For now…or not, I haven’t decided quite yet). She’s 12 years old and the older sibling of Leon, who’s adopted to her family, and uh…she’s pretty much your average stuck-up teen girl in children’s coming of age movies. ✨With a soft spot!✨
Tumblr media
The first time I drew her (sketch on the right)—well, I liked it, but the way she turned out wasn’t what I was trying to go with. She looks 16-17 in this one, and I specifically wanted her to look a bit younger.
Tumblr media
Designing her was kind of a hassle, especially because she either A) Didn’t look the exact age I wanted her to look in my eyes, and B) Her hair made her look like Megatron from the Transformers G1 series.
Tumblr media
But EVENTUALLY, I came across a design that I absolutely ADORE! I just changed her hair a bit from straight to a lil curly and BAM! My favorite character of this trio <3
Tumblr media
And now the Shadow Thing…I don’t really feel like posting my process for this thing because I despise it for existing and tormenting Leon and Nicole. And because I ran out of room to add more photos. The closest thing we can get to a design process of it is from my Twinsomnia detective “episode” post.
I didn’t plan on making it an actual OC at first, but I eventually came back to it when I needed a character interpretation for the fear of the dark. The Shadow Thing is basically similar to the Boogieman in the sense that it desires to feed off of children’s fears until they’re left traumatized. Yay. Fun.
Aaand to top this whole thing off, here’s some fun facts about these three! (mainly Nicole and Leon)
Nicole is Jamaican American (she has a Jamaican father and American mother) and Leon is African-American (The ethnicity of his past parents are unknown).
The Shadow Thing has similar shape-shifting abilities as the twins, except it can only take the form of anything scary.
Nicole has braces! And she hates it. She’ll attack anyone who reminds her that she does both physically and mentally. Even Leon.
The reason behind Leon’s left eye being hidden is because there’s a nasty scar on it. The eye already has a bandage over it, but he still hides it because he’s embarrassed by it :(
Speaking of eyes: Leon and Nicole originally were supposed to have each other’s eye shape, but I switched them up last minute!
Leon adore’s the twins. Nicole hates them. (I say hate but we all know she likes them deep down <3)
Nicole’s a complete phone addict and kiiiindaaa spoiled. She was having the time of her life being a pampered only child before her parents adopted Leon. Now she gotta learn to be humble >:(
Yeah, that’s pretty much it. Now Alex has more OC buddies!

im downloading andromeda again and now i have to update it which takes like four times longer
35. What moment did they realise that they were in love?
I'd like to imagine them being on a date/walk and finding the spot they will build their lil house on and being like huh, that looks like a nice spot for a house
Neela swears it was right when she saw him, for Ruhn just a chill morning together
36. How long have they been friends? Would they consider each other best friends?
They've been friends for a long while, they're best friends too
Not for that long before going on dates and making it romantic, but they do consider each other one of their best friends
37. How did they become friends?
Most likely Elk found Goose doing something stupid and either stopped him or then helped him out like a good public servant
Ran to each other on a balcony while raiding leftover snacks
38. Who’s more ticklish?
Goose
Neela, but her tail feathers make Ruhn squirm too
39. If your OCs has/had a child, who would be the stricter parent?
Elk, Goose doesn't really put boundaries
Ruhn, he was raised somewhat strictly and looked after his brother too, Neela's a youngest child so she couldn't deny their kid anything
40. What do they do when they miss one another? Is one more needy than the other/s?
Goose is good at hiding how much Elks travels do bother him, he just walks up and down the beach and throws rocks in the ocean and looks for seashells and cool things when alone
They go through the motions, Neela practices singing or makes sure her outfits and feathers are in ship shape, that tail upkeep is a chore sometimes. She does miss Ruhn a lot, lots of wistful sighing. Ruhn is usually busy sneaking around, eavesdropping and following Nepheli around so she doesn't try to go up and down stairs by herself. He's less needy but does miss her.
41. What green flags do they have for one another?
Elk is patient and actually understands Goose's weird reasonings for doing things that actually make sense for him, Goose is loyal and loving and always very interested in hearing what Elk's been up to on his travels
Neela is kind and considerate and makes Ruhn feel loved and comfortable, Ruhn is genuine and straightforward which makes Neela feel reassured and not just seen but also heard
42. Have they ever been jealous?
Goose, not really about any other men but about Elk's time in general
Ruhn doesn't hang out with other women enough for Neela to feel too jealous, and if a visiting dignitary lady would try to flirt he shuts it down. He's not jealous about her, if anything just proud of the audiences she gets
43. Is one more introverted/extroverted than the other?
Don't know if Elk is an extrovert but he's at least more extroverted than Goose
Neela is fairly extroverted, she's just shy. She likes hanging out and talking with others. Ruhn can do without, just chasing his brother across the halls and walls and ceilings with a knife sometimes
44. Who’s the better cook?
I think Elk
Ruhn, Neela doesn't have to cook for herself
45. Are they good at comforting one another? Does someone hide their feelings usually?
They are good at it, but Goose tends to hide any negative feelings so you don't really know when he needs comforting
Ruhn doesn't have to do much else than catch Neela when she throws herself down dramatically because she did something awkward that morning, it's all she needs. He doesn't really show negative feelings, but then again he doesn't have much of those. Let him be a grump in the rafters for a while, she can try to coax it out of him but he will claim he's fine
46. Would they have been friends with each other in school?
Yeah, popular kid adopts weird but kindhearted loner
Unlikely, they would be in very different cliques
47. Who made the first move?
Elk would have to
Ruhn had to because Neela was almost petrified with anxiety
48. Do they get on well with each other’s family? Is family important to them?
Goose's family likes Elk a lot, finally a sensible guy to (hopefully) keep him from trouble. Goose wants to be liked by Elk's family and paladin friends.
Rawk likes Neela, teased Ruhn endlessly when they started dating, but now it's chill. She likes him too. His mom likes Neela so much, can't really believe her son got with her. Neela's family was very surprised to hear who she started dating, are you sure there's nobody else? There's a whole prince to marry in there??
49. Do they tease each other? What about?
Jokes about height are free game, Elk is too big and Goose is too small
Neela gently ribs Ruhn about the amount of knives he has on himself at all times, he gently teases her when she can't decide between two dresses that are identical to him (that one's candlelight orange, this one's sunrise orange, god!)
50. Is there anything that scares them about their friendship/relationship?
Goose is a bit scared Elk will get fed up with him sometimes, Elk is concerned Goose will end up in a pickle he can't get himself out of when he's not around
Neela wants to be wifed up and to have a child or three, year by year she starts worrying more that he doesn't want that at all, meanwhile he's perfectly happy just dating and has no idea. Neela mentions her wishes to his mom and she asks if he's gonna propose and he's just like eh at some point sure what's the hurry

Rewatching Ninjago
(With no context other than the episode)
Skybound 5-6
Jays showing Cliff Gs home to the ninja?? Isnt he afraid theyll think he made a wish to gain all this unexpected new stuff?
Okay but why is Jay LYING
I mean it’s understandable if hes not ready to tell them he’s adopted yet
But saying you saved up for a place like that while just not getting paid for doing your main job, which is being a ninja, is a bit unbelievable
I guess saying your Cliff Gordon the actor of Fritz donnegans biological son is kinda unbelievable too.
Nya: We need to look at that lantern. Jay, Hit the lights!
Jay: Lights! Right! Yes. Light. Uhhhhh lights lights lights… Where are the lights….
HFBDJSNFNDNR
Cole: You saved up for this place? Baloney. Every time you get money you waste it on junk food and video games.
HE KNOWS JAY SO WELL 😭
They’re best friends your honor
Also they definitely wanted Cole to say Bullshit.
Jay: and it turns out! My dads cliff gordon!
Cole:…
Cole: Who?
NCNDJFNFNSNR
GOD jay and cole are literally acting how me and my best friend act when the other drops some gossip or a secret
Theyre that tiktok sound that goes like:
Jay: I wont tell a soul. 🫡
Jay: COLECOLECOLE COLE I NEED TO TELL YOU A SECRET-
Wait wait
Its CANON that theyre best friends? I thought that was a fanon thing but Jay JUST said Coles his best friend
I love them sm :)
Please tell me Zane still has his falcon in newer seasons
Clancy my beloved
Hes doing his best
THE DESTINYS BOUNTY IS IN PIECES AGAIN
The ninja are going to the island for the venom to defeat nadakhan
Ok but how does Jay explain Cliff Gordons boat.
NO. THEY GOT ZANES FALCON.
Nadakhan: Take it apart.. until it talks.
IT CANT TALK 😭😭😭 YOUR GONNA KILL IT FOR NO REASON 😭😭😭
Zane: why do I need a canteen?
Lloyd: there may be no fresh water on the island.
Zane: but… Im a nindroid… I repeat, why do i need a canteen? 🤨
Shdjksnfjdbebd
Jay. Why are you reading Cliff Gordons wooing woman book OUT LOUD.
Jay, reading: tell woman what they want to hear…
Nya: watcha reading?
Jay: AAAAH. UM! Im reading, uh, discovering the power of your feminine side 😃
Smooth.
Jays acting as their lightning rod on the ship lol
Also its canon he can get electrocuted by storm lightning multiple times and still be fine
Jay really doesnt want anyone else to be taken by djinn :(
NO WAIT IS ZANE GONNA BE TAKEN PLEASE TELL ME HE ISNT
Holy shit Zanes smart.
He quite literally predicted that Nadakhan would come for him from Jays reluctance. AND ONLY FROM THAT DOES HE KNOW JAYS SPOKEN TO NADAKHAN BEFORE AND COMPLETED TWO WISHES
I wish they showed this analytical side of Zane more
ZANE. LISTEN TO PIXAL.
Hes still as self sacrificial as ever.
Zanes trying to outsmart nadakhan and trap the djinn away. But I know he wont be able to no matter how intelligent he is :(
It would have made so much sense for Zane to be the savior of this season. He made some really good wishes. Its also incredibly out of character for him to “wish for it all to go away” after Nadakhan deleted Pixal. Zane could have simply said for Nadakhan to bring Pixal back and he’d have used up his wishes. He wouldnt have captured nadakhan but Zane would at least be alive.
Aaand they crashed the ship.
Cole cmon man at least give Jay a chance to explain himself.
His anger is valid since Zanes capture could have been prevented if Jay said something
BUT STILL
Jay didnt wish for the boat and mansion he wished to not be born in a junkyard and to be able to give Nya anything she wanted
COLE. YOU DIDNT HAVE TO SAY JAY SAW NYA IN HIS FUTURE REFLECTION.
THAT WAS UNCALLED FOR.
Jay: IN MY DEFENSE! I JUST LEARNED MY PARENTS ARENT BY REAL BIRTH PARENTS!!!!
Dude just say your adopted.
Me looking at Nadakhans sky village: I want to go there.
Jay. let go of the lady wooing book. You dont need it. IT GOT YOU INTO THIS MESS.
Please Jay stop complaining 🙃 even though I feel sympathy for you, pleaaase just read the room.
Jays pissing me off rn 💀
Just APOLOGIZE and EXPLAIN Yourself.
JUST STFU AND GET THE TIGER WIDOW VENOM.
theyre all so done with his shit 😭
Jay: HOW DO I GET VENOM WHEN HIS FANGS ONLY COME OUT WHEN HE TRIES TO BITE ME?!?!?!!?
Cole: THEN LET HIM BITE YOU.
Jay: IF I GET OUT OF HERE, IM GONNA BITE YOU.
Cole: 😶
JFNDJDNFJSNTJNR
THATS CANON?!?!?!
I SAW A DRAWING OF THAT EXCHANGE AND THOUGHT IT WAS MADE UP DHFBSJFBSJBF
Nadakhan: Delara was filled with fire too...
Nya: Not fire. I'm a tall glass of water.
HELL YEAH THE WOOING BOOK IS DESTROYED!!!!!!
Lloyd: HURRY UP AND GET THE VENOM.
Jay: IM SORRY! I NEVER HAD TO MILK A GIANT SPIDER BEFORE!!!!!
Cole landed a hit on Nadakhan!!!
Good for him honestly
Love how the ninja just phase through Cole sometimes it's so funny
They didn't even know how big the spider was and then Jay comes running out with a creature bigger than a bear on his trail
Jay: (about to get eaten alive by a spider)
Nadakhan floating with a teacup on his hand: Now would be a perfect moment for that second wiiiish...
Jay: FUCK. OFF.
Honestly with how many times the spiders grabbed Jay with it's fangs, it's hard to believe he hadn't touched the venom
Ohhhh so THIS is when he kidnaps Jay.
When did they get duck-tape 💀
Damsel in distress trope but it's the girl as the knight and the boy as the damsel
Imagine how Jay must feel though. His friends hate him. he (thinks he) lost the venom. And now he’s kidnapped.
Nadakhan: I can see why she once like ld you… You’re stronger than you appear. But I know it’s all an act.
Nadakhan: Deep down, you’re scared… You know your weak. You make jokes to mask that your afraid…
Damn.
Ok
Usually stuff like that is hinted at but to outright say it is something
Jay: (hanging off the bottom side of the ship like a spider with a ball chain on his leg)
Nadakhan: your not afraid, are you funny man?
Jay (somehow repositioning himself and cleaning the bottom of the ship) I LOVE IT. 😤
Hes such a little shit I love him
Cole (giggling after learning that they cant get off the island with their energy dragons)
Nya: Whats so funny! 😒
Cole: Oh, I was just thinking about what Jay might say…
Cole (with a perfect Jay impression): YOUR TELLING ME?!?!? THAT WE WENT TO ALL THAT TROUBLE TO GET THE VENOM AND NOW WE HAVE NO WAY TO GET OFF THIS ISLAND?!?!?!?
Cole: haha… Gone one day and I already miss him spazzing out.
Hes literally in love with him
(Platonically, for ppl who dont ship bruise)
Nya, girl, honestly you had every right to be mad at him. Dont feel guilty. Jay didn’t even apologize!!!! He also dialed up his little shittiness to 100 after that!!!! Hes fine 🙄
Its sweet that Lloyd trusts Jay to be strong
Cole and Lloyd: We can build a raft! Whats gonna stop us!
Nya: AN ENDLESS SEA FILLED WITH UNKNOWN CREATURES THAT WANNA EAT US??!?!?
Nya: That was uh, my Jay impression…
Clancy is so nice
Ive never heard Jay ever be this silent on frame
Its surreal.
Jays actually so clever
How is he moving and jumping around like that with a whole ass bowling ball attached to his leg 😭
GO JAY GO!!!!!
Now I remember why he's my favorite character :)
He got the note in the bottle to the ocean!!!!!
Man skybound was actually so cool I hate that it was erased from the timeline
Nadakhan: Eat! Have dinner with me. It's no trick!
Jay: ...
Nadakhan: 😃
Jay:
Jay: (starts devouring every consumable thing in front of him)
Jay: Sorry man, I don't know who this lost love of yours is. But she's not Nya! Nyas too good for the both of us. She makes up her own mind.
Well at least Jays got her character down
Nadakhan: Everything that is mine... I've had to work for. This food, this ship, this crew.
Jay: That accent :)
Okaaay. So if Nadakhan marries someone, he can have infinite wishes?
That makes no sense.
Lloyd: she'll be ready to sail soon.
Nya: Why are all boats she's?
Cole: uhhh idk! Maybe because it's takes a bucket of paint to make then look good?
Coles in his misogynistic arc
Cole (after Lloyd leaves): you know, I think the real reason sailors name ships after women is because we name them after the most important people in our lives. Mother, wives, sisters.
Ok he's forgiven
It's sweet that Coles standing up for Jay to Nya.
He called himself Jays best friend 🥺
Cole (trying to avoid the sand monsters): don't move... I think they're attracted to noise...
Lloyd: HEY GUYS! LOOK AT HOW MANY PALM LEAVES I FOUND- 📢📢📢
Nya used airjitzu for the first time!!!
I genuinely like nadakhans crew
Clancy: I can keep swabbing the deck if I like it! 😤 It relaxes me and I get to choose how it I wanna spend my free time!
Jaaaaay. You were manipulating so well!!! You just HAD to come off strongly.
Is it manipulation if it's the truth though? I mean Nadakhan ISNT telling his crewmembers everything.
Geez. This is kind of depressing to watch. Jay getting pummeled in a fighting ring by Nadakhans crew.
Nadakhan: You could… wish it all away?
Jay (on the floor absolutely totaled): bring it on.
Jays surprisingly stubborn and resilient
Clancy: you should eat food. you-you fought really well out there… held your own like a real pirate. Heres an eyepatch, so you can look like one!
Clancy so sweet :)
I understand that lego ninjago cant show blood or bruises but the way Jays voice actor is slurring his words gives a really good impression that Jay was beat up real bad :(
Flintlocke: you always talk to yourself?
Jay: Only when I think im by myself 😒
Ronin and the Chief got Nya Cole and Lloyd off the island!!!
I still dont forgive them though.

hi hi!!! bored so do you have anything you like want to infodump about? or just send a long post about or want me to research/read/watch/listen to or etc? this ask can take as long as u want or be as long as you want or whatever u want just curious :) can be about absolutely anything!!
hey there!
sooo this is pretty different from what i normally talk about BUT tlou hbo has reignited my hyperfixation on it and sadly they have taken over my brain once again. aaand i kind of feel like people are misinterpreting the core of the story at the moment, so. full ramble below the cut and yes i will be spoiling absolutely everything (including the next season, but i'll mark that part with a warning) so i am very sorry tumblr user hazmatazz if you can't read this now but. i NEED to get this off of my chest.
right off the bat, i'm going to get to the main thing: joel's lie.
a lot of what i'm about to explain is best summarized with the bts the making of clips that are shown at the end of look for the light but i feel a very deep need to spell this out for some of you.
NO ONE IN THIS SITUATION IS RIGHT OR WRONG!!!
and this is a running theme that i'm definitely going to get back to later because that's another main thing with tlou as a whole.. they tend to create very morally grey, not-right not-wrong characters, and that's on purpose. a large part of this story as a whole is to show how people (and humanity in a lot of cases) would react if we were put into these situations.
which leads us right back to what joel did.
the last of us offers this already very damaged, very broken person a really visceral, hard decision. and i feel like people are forgetting that these experiences, him losing sarah and tess and the promise he made to tess.. all of that shapes his decision to save ellie and protect her.
like (i believe it was, i don't have the time to check--) craig mazin said at the end of look for the light, a lot of tlou1 is about the deep, unconditional love of a parent. he was essentially offered to save his adoptive daughter or save humanity.
just think about his situation for a second. if you had this person that you loved like family, and you had to choose saving them over a world that is already long gone, would you? because i know i would, and i'm sure there are a lot of people that would agree with me.
and then there's ellie.
throughout the first part, ellie has this strange sort of, for lack of a better term, "chosen one" complex, where she has this mindset that's like, "okay, i have this really special, probably rare thing, and there's no one else like me, as far as we know. what can i do with that?" and her first answer is always to use it. the show takes this another step further in a small way when she tries to save sam, but it doesn't work, which is some pretty rough foreshadowing, but i'm getting off-topic.
ellie wants her immunity to mean something bigger, to be something greater than just something that can only stop her from getting infected. she wants to save and help people, because she couldn't save rylie or tess or sam, and she's watching all of these people die around her, and she can't do anything. so, obviously, when she finds out there's a chance she can change that, she's going to want to tak eit. and even more so, she's going to get hurt when joel, this person she loves and cares a lot about, stops that from happening on purpose and lies to her face about it.
they both have their reasons. does that make joel a little selfish, in some ways? maybe. but talk to any parent you know, and they would do the same thing. sometimes, when it comes to stuff like this, people can be inherently selfish. it doesn't mean that they're bad people, though.
you could argue for both sides here, and that's what makes all of this so complicated. ellie is a bordering-on-suicidal fourteen year old girl who wanted her immunity to mean something for other people, too. joel just wanted to keep her around and let her live a somewhat fulfilling life. you could also say that fedra wouldn't allow the vaccine to be distributed, or that the fireflies are liars or that maybe the fireflies were just trying to help, and you'd be right on all accounts. it is just too difficult to call either of these people wrong for getting upset and doing what they did.
season two spoilers start here!
i also sort of want to elaborate on that thing i said earlier about tlou and its characters, because i know for a fact we're going to have the same fights we got when tlou2 came out once season 2 is out, and i want to clear some stuff up right now before i lose my mind. yes, this is tangential. i do not care at all lmao
if you can forgive joel and tommy for all of the shitty things they've done, hell, if you can forgive ellie for what she does in part 2, then you can absolutely forgive abby, too. and if you don't, you're kind of biased and lack some very important empathy, imo.
let's just look at what these characters do during this conflict completely objectively, for a minute, sticking to the games' canon.(since s2 isn't out yet)
joel kills abby's father, the surgeon that was meant to kill ellie, in order to save her. abby, in turn, once she finds him, kills joel. ellie and tommy, out of pure grief and anger, track abby and her group down and kill all eight of them off one by one. ellie only spares abby once she's the last person standing and has a kid to take care of.
keep in mind, abby literally SPARED ellie and tommy. was this for some pretty harsh reasons? probably. but still. she said it herself, she let them live. she could have killed them at any time in that room, and she made the choice not to.
now, no one other than abby had really laid a hand on joel, other than wrapping that tourniquet around his leg at the very beginning. ellie still wanted them all dead, because they were there, and they helped, and they were friends with abby, and in ellie's eyes, that's crime enough to deserve punishment.
but we still love ellie. we still love tommy. we still root for both of them, because we understand their characters and empathize with them. (which was sort of the point of playing as abby for so long in part 2 but i guess some people just didn't click with that which is fine but ugh. you don't GET ITTTT)
on the outside looking in, abby really isn't any worse than either of them. you may even argue that she's better. but that's one of the driving themes of the games, and the story as a whole. no one is good or bad, we're all just people with separate motivations that intersect in bad ways.
spoilers end here!
i guess that's why i get so frustrated when i see that we're still misunderstanding the conflict between joel and ellie here. there isn't any right or wrong here! they are both just people who care about each other very deeply, and sometimes, because of that, they get hurt. if we're going to keep doing this i am begging you all not to watch season two. you're just going to get pissed off again.

now
I feel like this should be my first post in terms of self-care, spirituality etc. bc I have recently all of those topics that I feel like tapping into on this blog are leading back to this one.
So basically recently I started reading this book that just feels like an affirmation for all of the things that i have learned through experiences and different ways of thinking that i have adopted. The book is called “The power of now” and is written by Eckhart Tolle. At first I thought it was one of those self-help books that is going to end up on my shelf. And the thing is it was even gifted so, I didn’t touch it for months. But I guess divine timing.
The main point is we don’t realise that there is no future or past - they are just projections aaand ik it sounds super nerdy and spiritual, but keep up w me. We are experiencing life only here and now and there is no other time. It’s our brains that produce the concepts of time that also are the sources like fear and anxiety or sadness. Because if you think about it anxiety and fear are connected with the future while sadness comes with reminiscing.
Our emotions therefore are derived from these patterns of our brains.
Am I saying that they are invalid? No they are going through us for a reason - they teach us so much.
Am I saying that one should not go through them? Absolutely NOT. I feel like holding something and not experiencing it to its fullest height (unless it’s harmful) is the healthiest way to go.
Am I saying that happiness and love are also illusions ? No! As long it’s coming from within but not from an outside source that is deciding of your state and are not connected to your brain patterns…
All I am saying is that they (emotions) are not supposed to affect your state in the sense of your highest state/higher self/best version of you(whatever you wanna call it).
Of course this is how we come to the BINGO of this lil post. Our higher self that is connected to God/Universe/Multiverse/Simulation boss(whatever you wanna call it) is actually a state. This state makes you feel whole and cannot be really described with words(obv bc they are production of our silly little minds).
What comes close to describing is that you are connected to something in yourself that makes you believe that everything is just as great and that nothing can really take away your power of you. It brings you peace.
Sooo this is where the current moment comes in handy. By focusing on now you actually connect with your energetic inner body and realise that it is actually not that deep.lol
Try practicing now by fully committing to what is happening now. What do u hear? How is your body feeling in each and every part of it. Does it feel heavier on the surface that you are sitting/standing on? idk
Just look at your surroundings and experience everything as if there is no tmrw… and at some point you kind of feel like your worries are not valid. Now think about what would happen if you start practicing now more and just using logic when you need it.
Am I saying that ppl should just become bimbos and himbos and be silly and mindless all the time? Maybe :p but kind of the opposite. Cause you are not dumbing yourself down. You kinda step it up by knowing how to be smartass and deciding when to use it and when to center your consciousness in what is really important - your life in the current moment.
p.s. I hope i didn’t bring more confusion, but I hope with future self-care related posts i will be able to tap into manifesting, negative thoughts and sm more topics that derive from this one

6, 14, 21 for the wip questions!!!!
Thank you so much anon <3
I have reblogged too many wip ask games so now I am left guessing which one you meant 😅 I'll go with the last one I reblogged and if I am mistaken, please lmk and I will do the correct one?
I am going to go with my beloved cat wip - I fear this continues to be all I think about. If you haven't heard me talking about it: the fic is basically "The Doctor with fam 1.0 adopt a cat who isn't a cat. (fic contains copious amounts of thasmin pining)"
6. Does this chapter/fic have any twists that you’re proud of?
Hmmm, there is the very obvious one with 'the cat is actually a character we have known for a long time and not a cat!' but that is a given, that's like the whole premise of the fic.
I don't know if there are many twists, the story actually moves in quite a straight line. Maybe? Or maybe it just seems to me that way because it comes from my brain. Anyway, there are a few times I am tricking the readers a little and I enjoy those.
Towards the end - so this is a bit of a spoiler now, but the question was always asking for that right? - for example, there is a scene where I 'forget' Ryan exists. So like I'll have the narrator - Yaz - comment on what everyone is doing and how she feels about that and she just stops mentioning him all of a sudden like he's just not part of the story anymore.
Which is later revealed to be by design - and I would like to think I am hinting at that earlier - but I hope the readers will stumble over it and go "hey, author, you know how one of your main characters is Ryan?! Why the hell have you stopped talking about him? Yaz is not THAT gay that she would forget about him just because she's focused on the Doctor! (and like, he's doing some important stuff rn we would kinda like to know how he's getting on with that?!)"
(Aaand I just realised I did a little bit of the same to Graham - just that with him the others actually forget about him on accident. Not that you can blame them, some REALLY weird stuff is going on while he gets left out)
14. What have you been finding frustrating with writing this chapter/fic?
So I have been mentioning the plot and the length before. I am at about 42k words now with a complex-ish plot and a new alien species to fit my liking. (who I then kill off at least for now so yay 🙃 - I might have to change that actually if I come up with something better)
This fic was never meant to be long or complicated. It was supposed to be a fun little cat fic. And now the cat isn't even in it for like 3/4 of the fic 😔
(and right now I am finding the editing of what I have written most frustrating tbh, might do that only quickly and badly in the end)
21. Share 3 songs that would belong on a playlist for this chapter/fic.
tw suicidal thoughts mention in the cavetown song
youtube
youtube
youtube
Juno - cavetown (comforting vibes, cats <3, doing the hard but good thing for the sake of a pet, the staying alive part isn't too far off either - more for the general characterisation of 13 and Yaz than in my fic specifically but anyway) (I also find the line 'she's never done nothing wrong' brilliant in regard to Siren. Because she absolutely hasn't done anything wrong but also she's a little devil and has killed so many people)
In the middle - Dodie (I've realised I do not know many throuple songs so this is a little for lack of better alternative. But I also like the playfulness of the song. River would approve)
Brave - Sara Bareilles (one of my personal coming out songs so it holds a special place in my heart and we're dealing with quite a bit of coming out in the fic. Also the fic is about Yaz (and others) having to be brave in multiple aspects. And about the importance of open communication so yeah - they'd need a song like this)

Visiting Auntie Mako
Written for Sailor Moon Platonic Week.
Day 4: Future.
This could kiiiiind of be seen as a follow up to the piece I wrote for Sailor Moon LGBTQ week, but really the only carryovers are that Mako and Mina both have babies. Anyway, enjoy!
----
“Are you excited to see your aunties?” Mina asked as she made her way up the stairs of Ami and Mako’s apartment building, holding her red-haired baby in her arms.
The little one simply giggled and clapped in response. Mina and Rei had adopted little Noriko about six months ago, and the baby was approaching a year of age.
Mina knocked when she reached the door to her friends’ apartment. She heard some shuffling from inside before finally, Mako opened the door to greet them, looking half dead.
“Oh… hey Mina… what’s up?” Mako asked groggily.
“Uh… not much… I just wanted to stop by and see how you and the family were doing. You okay?” Mina asked, concerned for her friend’s well-being.
“Oh, yeah. I mean you can come in, it’s just me though.” Mako said, rubbing her eyes as she welcomed her blonde friend in, “Ami and Yuu are at her mom’s… I think. I wasn’t conscious when she left.”
“Uh huh… and you’re sure you’re okay?” Mina questioned again, sitting down on the couch with her baby.
“Oh, yeah. Yuu just… had some trouble sleeping last night… which meant we all had some trouble sleeping last night.” Mako said, sitting down on the couch with them.
“Oh yeah, we’ve had some nights like that with this little one. Yes we have, yes we have!” Mina said playfully, bouncing her baby up and down gently, “Yeah those… Mako?”
The blonde looked over to see her friend already nodding off to sleep, jostling her lightly.
“I’m up! I’m up!” The brunette exclaimed, jolting back upright.
“We can come back later, it seems like you need to rest.”
“No, no, it’s fine. With the kids and work we hardly ever see each other anymore. It’s actually really nice to see you.” Mako said with a weak smile.
“Heh, yeah I feel ya. Things were a lot simpler when we were kids, weren’t they?” Mina said, sitting Noriko up on her knee.
“If you ignore the monster fights then yeah, sure.”
“Hey, I know for a fact that both of us have changed some diapers that were way worse than half of the monsters we ever fought.” The blonde shot back, digging into her baby bag for a rattle for Noriko.
“Boy if that ain’t the truth. Not to mention the monsters usually had the common courtesy to not attack in the middle of the night.” Mako said, pulling out one of Yuu’s spare rattles and rattling it in Noriko’s face, prompting her to snatch it away with her little hands.
“Thanks. But yeah… adulthood’s pretty wild. Who would’ve thought?”
“Yeah. It’s funny though… even after a night like last night…”
“You wouldn’t trade it for anything, would you?” Mina finished for her friend.
“Nope.” Makoto affirmed with a smile.
“I get what you mean. Although if her teenage years are anything like mine… woof, that will not be fun. But at least… Mako?”
The auburn-haired woman had once again nodded off to sleep. Her head rested on one of the couch’s armrests.
“I think we should probably see ourselves out… Auntie Mako needs her rest.”

Aaand that does it for Day Four! A bit short, I know, but I felt like I said all I needed to. And also... I wanted to let the poor girl sleep.
Come back tomorrow for Day 5: Body Swap! I’ve got a fun story for Ami and Rei cooked up for it.
But until then, please let me know what you thought! Comments, reblogs, likes, etc. are much appreciated!
And until next time, take care everyone!
