I've been really sick (still kind of am tbh) the past week and haven't had the energy to draw a damn thing so I'm trying to slowly get back into it today

What I have done a LOT of is watch Arthur because um .. well why not?

Francine is my fave, dunno why because jocks are never my fave /lh but she was my fave as a kid for being so strong willed and maybe bcuz I associate her with the 'there's a mushroom on your shirt' meme that I love.

Buster is my second fave bcuz he's hilarious. Don't really have a third fave, every character is good. Buster and Arthur have BFF goals.

Also, some random 10SCC2 bcuz I've been obsessed w/ this song.

Chose them bcuz of one of my fanfics about them and whiskey. Seemed fitting.

Some peoples' art styles have the mark of Disney on them like those Uruk-Hai in the Two Towers had the hand of Saruman laid on their forehead. Like you just stare at them like I Know What You Are. You may not know where they're going but you sure know where they came from, crawled from the same cute-cartoonish primordial soup as the rest of us, but doubled down on it in their teens when everyone else was branching out trying to copy anime aesthetics or whatever else they thought was sexier.

But not these kids. They were still bound, consumed by it, imitating the style the best they could, even pausing the film and tracing individual frames for the specific look, face or expression they wanted, copy after copy after they could recreate it from memory, their hands perfectly trained to draw the curve of a Disney Princess nose, the exact arches and edges of a Disney Animal ear. Did Disney ever make a hand-drawn 2D animation with an aadvark in it? You don't know, but you know exactly how to draw one if they had.

And now, having mastered these dark arts, they cannot break free of them. The Mark of the Mouse is on them, and everything they create, as cursed and spellbound as the very same artists they copied, who signed the contracts to create it. A cursed shadow of a life, a promise of treasure they cannot break free from. Passably pretty, aesthetically pleasing, but without the jagged edges of a true, living soul.

Unlike myself, whose art style simply looks like shit. Like god intended.

Sorry but im not seeing anywhere that the aadvark person reads child abuse minor x adult atla fics beyond ppl being told so in anons. Maybe they deleted some posts but all im seeing even tangentially related to that is a long response post critizising zuuaang. That person's takes (and just their tone in general) is really grating on me but i just want to make sure this isnt some sorta smear campaign being made on someone because they were annoying and wrong on a post

They had to have deleted it then lol. I didn’t take screenshots (bc, ew. And I did t think I’d need them, I thought they seemed p proud of it tbh) but maybe they noticed ppl bagging on them for that and decided to private the posts?? Idk but I saw one of them myself and one trusted friend also deep dived and saw some. Pretty bad posts, and I believe them. And honestly it makes total sense for their kind of media literacy, so that’s another reason to believe my mutual. I mean you’re free to doubt it if you want but for me I’m p damn sure based on the contexts.
